Well, I am a complete imbecile when it comes to drawing these conclusions, I'm afraid. Best I can do is Merkabah. Though it's called Markeva over here, apparently in Pefect Works, and maybe in Japan I dunno, it's called Merkabah in Xenogears. So..what tie does Proto-Merkabah have with it?

These.."Vessels of Anima", can't have any relation to Anime Relics or the Anima of Xenogears, or I can't see how they would. The Anima Relics were born from Deus when it crashed. So, how could these Anima that were supposedly found with the Original Zohar, have anything to do with the Anima Relics?

...yes...they do... XENOSAGA IS A PREQUAL OF XENOGEARS. Or was all I have read and been told for years been a giant lie to confuse me?

Immigrant Fleet, Abel's Ark, Anima, Zohar, all of this is just somehow totally not connected to Xenogears at all?

There are many connections or references between the two games, and I'll edit my post and add a few things when I get back.
But for now we don't know if Xenosaga and Xenogears will eventually turn out to be directly connected or not. I think the biggest problem for Monolith is that Square still have the copyright for Xenogears, and it expires in 2007, or 2008 last I heard.

Bummer. Well, if that copyright exists, then it can't truly connect or they'll get sued all the way to Hell. But if it expires, then they can follow the preset history that was already established in Perfect Works.

I know I read something about Abel's Ark being the Eldbridge. No idea on that.

Indeed, in Xenogears the Elridge is called Abel's ark because it held the first contact, Deus and the Mother.

About the connections, well as Xenosaga develops i see less and less connections between the games, just a look at XS' Abel's Ark was a WTF moment. Even if the copyright issues are cleared( i think someone said it expired in 2007), Xenosaga already seems to be taking a different directions, possibly Xenogears is just one of the possible futures in the Xeno world and the few connections such as Wilhelm looking like Ramsus(who was a clone of Cain), Nephylim looking like Ellyham and the boy at the end of Ep 1 looking like Fei/Abel are just small pseudo cameos rather than full blown indications of a future like that of Xenogears.

Also, even though Xenosaga's time frame doesnt quite fit Perfect Works, they could create an entire succesful game series without touching Xenogears' age, they may have possibly just forgotten about making it fit with Xenogears and just go thei own way, even though the main people of the team left it.

I can't see Wilhelm having ties with Cain in any way, as Cain was an entity simply created froM Deus and I don't think Wilhelm effected that. Maybe it's just something they threw in there to mess with our heads.

It is possible if you think that Wilhelm could be involved in the making of Deus, then as the main guy on the project he could have put his genetic material into Deus programming or have in it somewhat of a memory which would be used to make Cain, but this was something i considered possible when i still thought Xenosaga and Xenogears had tight liasons which i dont consider that much these days.

And i also thought about the wave existance beign similar to U-DOOOOO(bow to Helmer), mostly because it seems that Albedo went crazy when he came in contact with it which is what happened with the wave existance and Lacan. I still dont quite understand U-DOOOOO at all, just the basics and the role of the URTVs.
