On Ep2, i'm currently at the part where you've just beat Margulis (the whole finish him with Jin was annoying cus i put him away and all my chars were on low life).
And just passed the scene where Partriarch takes the zohar in the ES.

I'm currently on Level 33-36 with my characters here, is that high or low do you think?
I must say when Margulis uses his big attack that hits all and blurs the screen, doing about 500-600 to each char, that did hurt slightly.

Well, I first beat the game around lvl. 38 (and you're very close to the end now). Although the last battle is rather hard: I found the battle more balanced when I later leveled up to lvl. 45. But I personally think your levels are good enough for now, you'll definitely gain a few more in the last (story) dungeon.

Finishing the story isn't the end of the game, though. When you've finished the game, make sure to save your clear data: you can load it again to access several bonus quests. =)

Niiice, i love game that continue on when u complete them smile.gif

Also i have the guide for this one now (only just arrived, ill use it when i play the game a second time)
And KOS-MOS's HP is only 3,300 on lvl 99, my thought was like wow this is low.

Considering in FFX my characters had 40,000 HP and all done 100,000 dmg with their norm attacks.

Still its all relative, and its nice not to have 7 digit numbers flying all over the screen.

i remember that i did train alot in the winter encefalon(or however you spell it). that put me in the 40 something range so i finished the game around that level. it really all depends on what skills you have and what armor plus weapons you have.

Thank you DB for making this ^^

I've yet to beat the game, but I never had much of a problem beating Ep.1, and I actually thought I was underleveled.

LOL, the last battle was hard for you guys? I defeated it with lvl 35 and proto omega didn't even attack me in the second battle, i didn't gave him the chance =p and i didn't used cheats either, i just boosted and stocked. One of the easiest battles i had in the game, seriously. I found the battle with Orgulla was harder for me then the patriach, at least for me =p

That's the same exact thing with me. Proto Omega was a big pushover to me. But Orgulla took me 3 days to beat!! But I was glad when I finally did. But I beat the game around lvl. 70, so that's most likely why,smile.gif.

whereas orgilla was a piece of cacke for me, and when fighting thr Patriarch i had the great combo of his 'sand attack thing' (cant remember the name but it hits all and airs you), followed by a boost to do a norm attack on my high hp char (KOS-MOS) (im now in around 500-700hp with all chars now) followed by another boost to say 'Proto Omega squash these bugs', followed by Proto Omega's big ray of 1000 dmg to all, haha your dead in one sweep of attacks.

In my opinion you cant get around bad luck like that, as i was boosting and stocking, and taking around 20k chuncks of his life per combo.

Sweet Mother of Nephillim. How can a xenosaga game need cheats dudes? Both Xenosaga games are probably one of the easiest games i have ever played. you kinda just go along them. The battles are not that hard, bosses are easy once you get the hang of them. Last boss hard? maybe but nothing out of the ordinary. The old guy was cake its just that it can go for long. Orgulla was also easy, i beat her in my first try. The other two dudes in AMWS gave me a bit of trouble and had to fight them twice i think. Actually the only time i died in the game was with that octopus/squid like robot before the cathedral and thats because i hadnt gottent he hang of the boss.

Honestly, if you need cheats for xenosaga, you couldnt even last a minute with Xenogears or a SMT game.

Yeh, in my opinion, the game isnt really hard, i'de say medium. a little harder than the FF series.
But not so hard u need cheats, i mean think i died once on patriarch from that horrible combo i mentioned above.

i wasnt prepared for richards big cannon of death and that wiped out MOMO's ES, making life rather hard, so died there.

and died on the Scarabeille in the desert, because he does 20k dmg when he intercepts (which is really not nice)

Heh, I found both games rather hard myself, but my problem with pretty much all RPGs is that I'm always quite badly underleveled. I've seen tons of game over screens in both Xenosaga games (Xenogears too). I think Xenosaga's battles require quite a bit of effort, and since I really rush through games like these on a first playthrough (to view the whole story as soon as possible) it leads to lots of early defeats. ^^''

But Xenosaga (and definitely Xenogears too) are games I consider to be quite hard compared to most of my other RPGs.

Ever fought the optional super boss Mikumari (also in the desert after defeating Dark Erde Kaiser)? I think that can safely be called the hardest E.S. battle in the entire game. I had to level my E.S. up all the way to lvl. 70+ to stand a fair winning chance. o.o''

My memory card died and i had to restart the game after that battle.
In my new game im now at Labarinthos on the higher level of 37, and have done all the GS things i can do now and got all segment addresses, decoder etc that u can have at this point.

My basic plan with this game is to do literally everything, which includes reaching Lvl 99 with all characters and ES's, and learning all the skills with all the characters. (fighting the Patriarch multiple times for GS 32 should help with that)

So eventually ill reach that.

As you can probably guess i have a guide for the game (always get em for RPG's as that way you can do all the side quests which in turn makes the game longer and a better experience)
According to the guide, the Dark Erde Kaiser is a real pain in the arse cus its life.

Mikumari, and the other 2 super boss's will be alot of fun, as there is no strategy for beating these in the guide, just the pic in the enemy listing, best thing i got against em is i know the Zone break combination.
