Sigs Minock Icon : (Yesterday, 10:59 PM) blargh to 12 hour days...
The Death Icon : (09 March 2010 - 07:26 PM) I also rented Nocturne when I was a child, and the only rpg I had played before that was FF7. I was maybe 6 or 7. I loved nocturne.
Soul Reaver Icon : (09 March 2010 - 07:05 PM) Nocturne was one of the first real RPGs I'd played. I didn't find it "brutal and unforgiving."
Sigs Minock Icon : (09 March 2010 - 06:55 PM) there's a complete difficulty gap there... Nocturne is brutal and unforgiving, Persona 3/4 cakewalk in comparison
Sigs Minock Icon : (09 March 2010 - 06:54 PM) I don't think SMT will get as popular as FF has. just wait until some noob starts with Persona 3 and/or 4 and gets SMT Nocturne
Sigs Minock Icon : (09 March 2010 - 06:54 PM) I don
Soul Reaver Icon : (09 March 2010 - 06:14 PM) I used to love the SMT franchise, but then it just got so mainstream and popular now it totally sucks.
Sigs Minock Icon : (09 March 2010 - 05:32 PM) 4,827 times, i bet

Who Do You Think The Last Boss Will Be In XenoSaga III Rate Topic: -----

It looks like things got a little complicated at the end of XenoSaga II. While a possible villianous character returns (Yuriev), other villianous characters are not accounted for (Margulus, Sellers, etc).

With the story so open as it is at the end of XenoSaga II, who do you think the last boss will be in XenoSaga III?

My guess is Kevin. Being a student of Mizrahi, this had to give him access to some of Mizrahi's ideas. Whether or not those ideas were good or bad, I think Kevin will turn the for bad in the end.

I'm guessing the final boss will be U-DOOOOO *ahem* U-DO, because it's quite similar to Xenogears' Deus System (though more specifically: the Wave Existence gone "evil"). And Yuriev is trying to fight that being (as it says in some revealed Episode III info, Yuriev wants to fight "God"; U-DO in the Xenosaga universe).

Though for what reason, I'm not quite sure. I know in Pied Piper (spoilers) it's said Yuriev survived "the horror", but I'm actually not sure what exactly they mean by that =s . Either way, I guess there might also be an aftermath battle with Yuriev, depending on his motives.

The horror quite obviously was caused by U-DO, because you can clearly see Yuriev is obsessed with destroying it, after being heavily traumatized by the horror. I am assuming it's the same thing that U-DO showed Voyager "The End Of the World". In some translations it was said to be that, too.

Making U-DO the last boss would make quite a space-opera if Episode 4 existed. This is because most of the galaxy would become extremly disjointed and a lot of strife would happen between planets, or internally within them. Too bad Episode 4's chances are real low.

THIS is my version of HAMLET.
I still hear that Glenn Beck raped and killed a girl in 1990.

Denim, are you sure? Namco never stated that Xenosage Episode III will be the last title. They stated that Xenosage Episode III will be the last title featuring Shion and the rest. Xenosaga Episode I actually sold well over 400,000 in both Japan and the US; roughly 860,000. That series is as competitive as the Tales series, so the chances of seeing a sequel is actually high. The 2nd version did not sell as well, but since I-II and Episode III are reverting back to its sales, we can expect similar sales and sequels. smile.gif

That might or might not happen. Namco is concidering Xenosaga to be a financial loss. Episode 1 may have sold a lot, but Episode 2 sure as hell hasn't. Unless Episode 3 does phenominally well (which would mean that either Episode 2 prices will pick up, or the prices for XenoDS), then the probability of a sequel in the near future is pretty low.

If we're talking about the Episode 6 final boss (that may or may not happen) I would guess something other than U-DO. But right now, my money is on U-DO for the Final boss, and perhaps Yuriev, Wilhelm or Kevin as well.

If the series were to continue though, it might have been something unexpected, such as chaos.
Perhaps not in a "villainous" way, but something along the lines of what Jecht did in FFX.
Chaos: "Now that I'm the only one left, you have to destroy me too."

His immortality is what hints to him meeting his end eventually, one way or another.
And probaly not in a natural fashion.

I think after Episode III then it is possible that Chaos may be the final boss (Jecht Style) but for Episode III it probably isn't. If this is indeed the last one then I'm thinking it's probably some incarnation of U-DO (Sounds quite XenoGearsish).

Kevin an enemy? Maybe that's just Shion's Personal battle... it sounds quite epic biggrin.gif

Currently Playing:
Mana Khemia - Really getting into this game at the moment. It's just good fun.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - How did I miss this gem before?
Devil May Cry 3 - So very hard... I caved and am on easy mode.

Though Raincoat is still my favourite sister!

Hmmm.... probably something that feeds on the Zohar, or the Zohar itself. Why? Well, lets just say that is a feeling that I have with/from the new group of writers.

I've been firmly believing its Wilhelm. He's the one pulling the strings.. He's gonna pull a Palpatine.

Well, in Pied Piper *SPOILERS* Wilhelm said that U-DO learned that "immortality isn't necessary" or something, so I think it will be mr. U-DO. Or maybe Voyager... I would like to kick his butt!

Well one thing I'm almost positive about is that it will have to be someone already in the series. They have enough villans as it is (The Testements, Margulis, Wilhelm, Yuriev and this other KOS-MOS [T-Elos]) I wonder how they will be able to finish off all these guys in just ONE more game.

I think it will be Wilhelm. But it could be chaos because we really know nothing about him, except that his name is Yeshua.

I know that all the Anima relics belonged to him and that he's immortal, and that he can survive in space, kill Gnosis, I know he's been involved in almost every conflict and we know that he's got something to do with Nephilim and KOS MOS.

Some of that is from XenoDS.

There will definitely be more than one more XenoSaga. There's no where on the web that says this is the last XenoSaga -- there's always more text after it like:

"This is the last XenoSaga........for the PS2"
"This is the last XenoSaga........featuring Shion"
"This is the last XenoSaga........blah blah blah..."

On another note....We all know that bad guys can't be on the same page forever. I think the testaments will eventually have it out on one another, then T-Elos will get rid of them, except for Kevin (since he will be the one who orders T-Elos on them).

Kevin has to be the mastermind behind all of this if he is the one who created T-Elos (All of the data that Shion gave to Vector from KOS-MOS paid off, huh? smile.gif). I'm not sure if everyone is aware that telos means the final goal, mission complete, the ultimate end, etc.

What do you mean? The actual word "telos"?
Because that's apparently how her name is pronounced in the game. Not Tee-elos.
