Okay, this is just too weird.
Fanta, last time you came with a freaky link having the entire forum go mental about a so called statement that was made by Squeenix.
So, this sounds a bit too fishy.

So far they have not told what happened, so I will wait and see what happens.

Um...WWE is totally fictional, it is like a soap opera. I looked it up when the chairman died a few weeks ago. They will release the "official" statement that their fictional character is dead. So don't look too much into it. I mean think about it, how much did we hear about Anna Nicole Smith? Do you think that if someone else died that we wouldn't be getting the same treatment if it wasn't for the show?

So don't worry the man and his family are just fine but they won't be on the show anymore. The characters they played are gone and may get the show some viewers but nothing to worry about. wink.gif Unless if you have stock in WWE and are now worried that you are going to lose all your money by how desperate they are for viewers.

I can't say for sure if it is true though. I have never watched those wrestling shows and I remember when I heard that Vince McMahon was dead when his limo blew up I looked it up and found that it was not real. So I was going based on that. People are evil though most of the time and we may never know exactly why who ever did it. And why I have not seen it all over the news might be because he is a Canadian wrestler and that takes a back seat to Paris Hilton's drama? I'm not sure but we will have to see how this develops when the weeks pass.

I take it from all these comments that he's a wrestler. I wouldn't know, since the only type of fantasy I need is anime or the movies. Sports should be real, but hey! That's just me.

I'm not going to judge on this. Every time I judge something, I'm usually wrong. I don't care for wrestling, or wrestlers for that matter.

If you want what I think killed him, it might be a gas leak. It would be enough to kill his entire family, and if the lock is broken then they can't get out.

Just my two cents.

Umm...."this is not a storyline"?

That seems like a bad phrase. Of course this isn't a storyline, we would have to be in a really #### game in order for THIS to be the storyline.

Try "this isn't a complete load of crap like you're used to from the liberal media, who repeatedly make up stories about Iraq being occupied with American troops, and Global Warming, and Bush being stupid!"

Then we can all laugh at the obvious sarcasm!

I was mearly commenting on your choice of words. A storyline is more commonly associated with a Video Game, Movie, Book, or Television show, not a news story.

Then I offered a alternative.

But like, you said, I'll talk to Rika. Hi Rika! How you doin? Good? Okay, that's cool.

Alright, I talked to her. biggrin.gif

I did read the links, they were helpful happy.gif

and there are WWE games... tongue.gif

True though, Hollywood seems to make everything take a back burner though I just saw on the news that they were talking about it and I have to say I was shocked. It is awful news though whenever anyone is murdered...

I have always heard the whole wrestling shows thing was fake and they follow like a soap opera type story line like Vince's death.

Thanks for the links though, The Evil Dead. It cleared up my confusion with Benoit's death VS McMahon's.

I believe they're either in on it, or have some real dumbasses working for them. The timing is just too close.

It's easy to tell what's real and what isn't real when you watch WWE and TNA. At least to older people who know it's a show and that it's entertainment. Most of us knew this wasn't joke from the start just like we knew the Vince McMahon's death was part of the show. McMahon trashed "Who killed Vince" plot last night on RAW since Benoit and his family died and playing an angle involving death won't be cool, not that his "Who Killed Vince" angle wasn't stupid to begin with. This came as surprised to everybody since Benoit was schedule to perform and win the ECW title on Sunday PPV, but he never appeared.

Another good performer gone. Sad to see Benoit and his family all die in what ever manner they died in. Last I heard, rumor are they did from carbon monoxide poison.

Yes, this real. This isn't part of WWE storyline.

Edit - It's double murder-suicide that lead to death of the family. It seem Benoit killed his wife and kid, then killed himself. That's what being reported at the moment.

Welcome back Fanta! smile.gif

This is twisted! I wonder why any of the articles commented about the corpse's state. I mean, did they have some injuries or other trails on their bodies. ( I mean, they have put this case in the homocide category). Or at least, they could tell us about the psychological condition of the man. Was he mentally ill, or if he was ok.etc You get the idea.
Now I wonder what will the autophsy results tell.

Personally, I think the man had lots of issues with his family, because he missed that event and because he sent weird messages.
Personally it makes sense to me that he killed his wife and child during the weekend, and himself on Monday. He probably went nuts, and regretted his deeds on Monday, and killed himself.
It's a sad way to end your life that way. ( especially for the woman and the poor kid).
We should wait for further news. I wonder what will be the final version.

Thanks Eva I just read the update too, it seems that it is indeed a double murder-suicide.

At least for now.

I've watched wrestling for years since 1987, and I have always been a huge fan of Benoit since his WCW days and everyone involved with him, his closest friends and family always stated he was a nice and loving guy. The incident is being treated as a double murder-suicide, and that is very scary because obviously the best of us can snap, my heart goes out his family its a huge tragic loss and a real shame.

It does seem the world of wrestling in its entertainment form is jinxed because there's been so much tragedy and young deaths over the years.

I was going to say " Is it the steroids? "

There has never been a proven fact where steroids have actually killed people, you certainly can't OD on it. All the negative effects of gear have always been open for debate, although it can definitely create a hormone imbalance. Most of the wrestlers who have died from drug related deaths were down to narcotic pain killers, cocaine and alchohol or a combination of all of them ie Eddie Guerrero and yes, Guerrero was using gear but its not what caused his death, it was the abuse his body suffered over the years.
