Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 2, the follow-up to 2004's hit PC game, will also be coming to the Xbox 360 and PS3.
The first game, developed by Crytek, perfected an open-end approach to first-person games and won itself many fans in the process. Ubisoft Montreal has now taken over the reins for the sequel, and it looks to be equally impressive, taking the player on a sandbox tour of the savannahs of Africa via an eye-popping graphics engine.
The PC version is due to hit towards the end of Q1 2008, with the console versions slated for release somewhere in the vague timeline of the fiscal year 2008-2009.

I figured I'd stick this up for those who are interested, since it looks like Ubisoft are bringing Farcry 2 to the PS3 and XBOX360...at some point. This is great news imo, the more and ebtter FPS' i can gain access to the better. For those of you who were fans of the first farcry, what do you think?
My only problem ,and this is just my frustration towards Ubisoft, is I hope they actually set a deadline and stick by it. I'm so annoyed they delayed Haze, and do to the lack of buzz, I won't be expecting it out in Jan, nor their supposed lost game in feb. Gah. Great company though.
