Regarding Angel Beats, while I liked the series over-all (much love for Yui-nyan and GirlDeMo), I have to agree the ending felt a bit rushed and much of the characters' pasts are still unknown. Hopefully, they'll at least release some type of OVA or even a Visual Novel (which I would then have to wait until translated, but hey).

Kimi ni Todoke was also pretty nice; I really do hope they'll do a second season, especially with how the manga is shaping up to. It's been a while since the last chapter though....

I was greeeatly disappointed in the E7 movie. =\ Not gonna spoil it, but I hope your expectations aren't too high.

For what it's worth, Angel Beats! is getting an extra episode in the 7th volume DVD/BD. (Dec 22nd)

...nah, I already watched the first 30 minutes of it a few months ago; hopefully I can finish it now (it's just sitting in my HD waiting to be watched). XD

And yay for extra ep. I just hope it's not one of those fanservice eps with no story progression whatsoever. Like the 11eyes extra ep. >.< It wasn't even remotely funny, blergh.

Ahh, finally. After about a week of not being able to watch stuff, I've plowed through the past week or so of updates over the course of last night and today. ^^ Of course, since the computer went in for a checkup last Saturday, I... lol, I ended up still not watching the E7 movie.... I just watched all 15 eps of Bakemonogatari again. Will they ever release a 2nd season? Or at least an OVA of the 'Koyomi Vamp' chapters?


...as for updates, I just finished watching: (warning for slight spoilers!)

Legend of the Legendary Heroes - 8 ~ not too much screentime for Ferris and Ryner this time, and that Clough (sp?) character's arm reminds me of Scar's (from FMA).

Asobi ni Iku yo! - 7 ~ Aoi-chan <3 ...aside from that, standard fare.

Sekirei - 8 ~ the storyline is diverging from the manga again; I wonder if they'll start the Jinki fights in the 3rd season eventually?

High School of the Dead - 8 ~ ...while nice occassionally, too much fan service is...too much. The boob physics in this ep boggles the mind. o_O; Diverges from the manga next ep, with the 'Sword and Dead' chapter coming up instead. Makes me wonder how they'll pull that off. o.o

Amagami SS - 8 ~ while I liked the progression a bit more than Haruka's, I still think she had the more interesting epilogue. XD

And agreed, on the HotD note. While I love the series for its zombie action/suspense, the fan service is downright distracting and out of place. I'd honestly enjoy the series more if there were less of it.

Just watched the usual stuff; I'll just post some of my thoughts on the eps:

High School of the Dead ep.09 - It might just be the subs I'm watching, but they're really implying that something happened between Saeko and Takashi....I'm just kinda annoyed at his 'I just did it so I can survive' thought; I kinda prefer their dialogue in the manga. o.o

Legend of the Legendary Heroes ep.9 - I just finally noticed that Ryner and Lelouch had the same VA. It was the awesome/annoying evil laugh that did it lol. Things are picking up and I'm pretty excited about the next ep, even though I just heavily spoiled myself when I browsed through the light novel wiki. o_O;;; Also, for some reason, this show reminds me of Chrome Shelled Regios. o.o Ferris = Felli might be the cause.

Jun Fukuyama is laughing maniacally while killing people with his eyes and belittling them all the while. Why does this sound like such a familiar situation? xD
Yes, I only watched a portion of Code Geass subtitled, but I still picked up on that ever-so-famous Lelouch laugh pretty easily the first time I heard Ryner's out-of-control Alpha Stigma. Fun times.

Not much in particular to point out this week, other than the return of Monster, which has be excited. The two recent episodes were great, and have me pumped for the finale over the next two weeks. Oh, and Kuroshitsuji II had a pretty major plot twist over the past two episodes, so I'm curious to see how that unfolds, as well.

I've got three series I plan to check out eventually, though, as soon as I figure out how I'll go about doing so. I've got one totally downloaded and waiting to be watched, so that'll probably be the first to get out of the way. (Shortest one, as well.) The other two are, like, three seasons apiece, and I'm having a little trouble getting good downloads, so I'll have to see what I can manage. ^^;

Watched the Blade of the Phantom Master movie, which i bought on a whim- and honestly, i'm disappointed. i was expecting something, and i got what felt was part of a greater whole and i picked up in the middle of something. could have been better if i didn't feel like i was in the middle of something.

i also picked up the first half of Tsubasa Resevior Chronicles, or whatever it's called... and adding that to my stagnant backlog.
