Gameboy Advance exclusive title, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, is to be a direct sequal to the Playstation 2, Kingdom Hearts. Chain of Memories takes place immediately after the events of Kingdom Hearts featuring the adventures of Sora, Goofy, and Donald with CG movies included for the Gameboy. The Gameboy exclusive title is expected to be release sometime in 2004.

Playstation 2 Kingdom Hearts 2 takes place a few years after Chain of Memories. Sora, Donald, and Goofy will be joined by Mickey Mouse this time around. The characters will be on a trek around the world to fight against an unknown evil mummy ruler. All the characters will get an update in costume designs to show the difference in timeline. It's expected that Kingdom Hearts 2 will answer some mysteries that were left unanswered in Kingdom Hearts. As well as revealing the identitiy of the character shown in the CG movie trailer at end of the special ending of Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts 2 is expected to be release in 2004.

KH2 will be a good game and I wonder what will be new to the game...maybe better camra angles lol.

dude, i am so excited that they came out with the sequel, but the fact that its on game boy advance sucks. i mean i have one and all, but i just don't see the game being as cool. why couldn't they release it on the ps2 again? man i was so excited about it coming out too. looks like ffX2 will have to realize all my dreams and expectations not that i won't buy the kingdom hearts anyways...

the gba advance version is gonna take place right where the first original installement ended. The ps2 version will take place several years later along the same time line. I think.

anyhoo...can u believe i just found out about KH only 2 weeks ago. Read some reviews and checked out some pics b4 rushing to the store to pick myself up a copy of this charming game. I sat home all day today and finally finished the game. The boss fights were so goddam tedious I almost shat sheets cuz my cheeks were so wound up. That and the camera angles are the only things I had problems with in the game. The ending was beautiful, not the longest end sequence out there, but short and sweet did the trick. Must say I cant wait for the second installement, and if Im correctly informed then I wont have to buy a gba to play it. Now to go back and find all those fukin dalmations. peace

I absolutely can't wait for this game to be released. I mean this game will explain everything about KH. I've seen a couple of images of KH2 and they look excellent, and as for the GBA version... well we'll just have to find out to know if it's good really.

A few months ago i got a opm [oficial playstation magazin] Basically it says that Square soft was goin to make kingdom hearts one of there 3 pillars. Those 3 pillars being Final fantasy, Dragon Warrior, Kh. Then it says that that basically means theyll be alot more kingdom hearts than jus 2 and that one for gba that i don really care for lol. o yea last they said supposely preliminary plannin has begun for kh3 sweet. mayb itll b on ps3 that would b soo cool.

Kingdom Hearts 2 is going to be on the PLaystation 2, and it will take place a few years after the events in Kingdom Hearts, i think its a few years it may be one year but there has been some confusion about it, and Ansemreport is down.

Kingdom Hearts:Chain of Memories will be released on the GBA, the story will be directly following Kingdom Hearts. ANd it will feature 3d movies that from the screen shot that i saw looked really really good. It is rumored that Chain of Memories will come out a little before Kingdom Hearts 2, so to make the story line complete.

Does anyone know what happened to ansemreport.com because I think that is the best Kingdom Hearts site but right know it says that it can't be found. So does anybody know if they changed their address or just stoped. It was running before TGS but now I can't find it. If anyone knows anything please post. It would mean alot.

I recently spoke to the ebmaster of Ansemreport, and he said that because of all the traffic to his site because of the KH 2 news that his bandwith limit was overun. So it may be up on October 1st, hopefully!

are incredible... No game has ever come close. So for the
people who don't own a GBA, get one when KH:COM comes

Well, maybe I just have better hand eye coordination, but I have no trouble using the SP. And the normal GBA doesn't have the light, or the rechargeable battery, and it isn't as sexy

Lol, I've used a lighting attachment on a regular one, I didn't like it very much. With the SP, you don't need to worry about the extra energy, because of the awesome battery Just a matter of personal preference.

BTW, if you plug the lighting attachment into the top of a GBA, does it not draw it's power from the GBA? I've never actually studied one, does it need it's own batteries or something? Oh yeah, and how much does a lighting attachment cost? Add the price of your constant batteries for a GBA, and the lighting attachment, and then what's cheaper, the GBA or the SP?

yes i personally do like the sp better or the way it looks. chain o memeories comes out whether i buy the gba sp or norm gba will dpend on how much money i have in a bout a year or so or atleast that is my estimated date on when kh chain comes out. but then i psp playstation portable to those who havnt heard will own gba or atleast thats what i think. and if it does i think square might think y put these good games n gba when we could put it on the nice new psp that is personal oppinion ya all might think differently.

I'm going to get which ever one costs less. But I will ask again does anyone know when ansemreport.com will be back.

Ok, here is what I think:
Kingdom Hearts 2-for a start, don’t ask me why but I think the guy who looks like the red skull is Ansem. He just seems to look and feel like it’s Ansem. I think that the two main fighters in “another side, another story” and “deep dive” are evil. I have many things to back this up, and I’m sure you have many to contradict it. For a start, they have them long cloaks like the new evil guys on the kh2 trailer. I know they are fighting the heartless, but I think that there are now 2 factions of heartless, the white, and the black, who are opposed. I also know that they have Oathkeeper and Oblivion, but if I recall correctly, which I do, when Rikku was evil he obtained the keyblade from Sora and left him with a shoddy bodged-up wooden sword. As for the sayings there are explanations for them too “He looks just like you”, could be someone saying that the new guy who looks like Rikku, looks like Rikku. “Where’s Sora?”-They could be looking for him, to kill him, or obtain something he has or whatever. I won’t list them all but you can see what I’m thinking. And I’ve tried it-Sora can’t walk up vertical walls or materialise out of thin air. And I’m pretty sure Rikku cant rain down meteors.

But, in that same trailer, Micky had on a black cloak, just like the guy with 2 key blades. So, I don't think those cloaks are an evil thing only. Though, those 5 other guys with the cloaks are bad guys, I think. Not so sure now that I think about it.

yea mickey had a black cloak now in the new 1 i don think all the black cloaks r evil or atleast the ones in the video first im pretty sure i think i no who the one wit 2 keyblades r if u watch the trailer for kh2 u will see a kid who fight another guy in a black cloak wit the same 2 keyblades thats who i think it is he jus put on a black cloak or somthin since i heard the games peoples experience or what eva will have somthin to do wit what there wearin only it won b like the dress up thing in ff10 -2

i just saw a kingdom hearts 2 thing on tech t.v. and it was so cool! i found out the game only takes place one year after the first game and there are some new and some old worlds, including characters in the new game. but there are these 3 new kids about sora's age and i dont know who they are!! when the tech t.v. show X-play interveiwed the creator of kh in tokyo, he did not say anything about them...he just laughed..;;;
and it showed all kinds of new footage!! it was awesome!!

Gameboy Advance? That little hardware can do a lot of things, but I don't think making games is one of it's skills.
Square Enix are making Kingdom Hearts 2, for PS2.
And they are also making Kinddom Hearts Chain of Memories, for the BGA.

Some of you guys need to stop repeating what has already been said in this topic and basically stop spamming it.

I 2 am a huge KH fan. Chain of Memories looks strange. It has an odd story line and bad battle system (from what I've seen). KH2 looks like it will kick A$$. If you want go to IGN.com. the staff there have played a Japanese demo. But they have some good pics. I can't remember if they have any videos though.
