For those new gamers who missed out on what true good old school 16 bit rpgs are about, Sega has confirmed the release of three Phantasy Star games from the early Genesis days as part of their Sega Ages collection. The collection is called:
Sega Ages: Phantasy Star Trilogy. This collection consists of Phantasy Star I, Phantasy Star II, and the best of the bunch, Phantasy Star IV. Missing from the collection is Phantasy Star III. This new Trilogy collection will have improved graphics, soundtracks, and other new additional features that wasn't presented in the original games. Expect the Sega Ages collection to be release in first quarter of next year for Playstation 2.

Hmm...? What console is this going to be released for? o.o? I'm not really sure myself, but if its possible I'd like to try it. 
I've briefly played the first one (for like...30 minutes) and I wanted to try the rest. I'm really puzzled at why the third one won't be included though. 
Is it just not going to be included cause it would be four-in-one, so they took it out so it would be a three-in-one? *shrugs*

What a great idea. This is fantasic, i can't wait til they get round to releasing these!
I imagine it might be PS2 (due to the fact it really has far more rpg's than Xbox) but that is only a guess, and probably a very wrong one!

I remember reading about this a long time ago, but back then only Phantasy Star 1 and 2 were mentioned. I'm glad to hear they decided to throw in IV as well.
This is something I've been anticipating for a long time now, but news around this has gotten a bit quiet as of late.
Glad to hear they are still planing on releasing this game. I'll definitely pick this up as I am missing these games from my collection.

Yeah, I never had the chance to play this series even when I still have my Genesis back then ( I sold it ). >.<
Glad to hear that they will bring the game back for PS2 console. This is indeed a good news for me.
Sounds good. I've only had the chance to play them for DC never did get a Genesis
