Simple question. Which version of the 1000 words FMV did you like best. I downloaded the japanese version a while back and sw it was different. Those who have seen the japanese version you'll notice it's different to the english version. The english version you've got both Lenne and Yuna singing together and in the japanese version Yuna sings then Lenne and back to Yuna.
I like the english version cause you got them singing together. It worked pretty well. Unlike the japanese version the english one has that last "1000 words" line which is more effective. Japanese just ends with music

The jap music. I remember hearing the english version first, then the jap version and I was astounded. For me, it was way better than the english version. (no offense) I nearly voted the english version, but I decide the jap version is better.

I like the English version...much...MUCh more. Why, you ask? Because its in English. x/ I understand what she's saying at least and that makes me think more deepfully about the song and the meaning behind it. (though, doesn't make me think THAT much more.)

Personally, I liked the japanese "1000 words" song more. But the English FMV is the one I like best. Never saw the Japanese version, so I didn't know Yuna and Lenne weren't singing side by side...er, back to back. o.o; lol Something makes sense now. When I saw an article stating things that were to be in the FFX-2 International ver., they showed a pic of Yuna/Lenne and said how they'd be singing together. I was thinking "..um wasn't it already like that?" 0.o

japanese.
that is the language it was written in. that is the language it feels more solid in if you ask me. as if it that is how it should sound. the english is great but the japanese is better. although i think the point about both girls singing together is interesting. i wonder why it was altered. i think they should be singing together. it just makes more sense to me that way.

I liked the Japanese way more.. I downloaded it way before I saw the English version.. So, I set way higher standards for the English one and it turned out that I didn't like it as much.

Japenese music is always better as it always sounds like it has more emotion and is such a better beat also the fact that i cant speak japenese makes it interesting as you ignore what the words are saying and hear what the song says (sounds weird I know but hope you get the idea).

When I first heard the English version, I thought it was gawdawful. x.x Koda Kumi's voice was much more fitting. Plus, I heard the jap. version first, I guess that's why I appreciate it more. ^^
If I recall, I think there were 2 different variations of the English version. I think the first one was sung by Koda.. Jade sounded much better. ^^;

Koda Kumi and Jade both sung it the way they felt it. Koda Kumi was more emotional about, IMO, but Jade has this nice, mellow feel to it..... But anyway, since we're talking about the FMV..... I'd go for the Japanese. The Yuna-and-Lenne-singing-back-to-back thing was a nice addition, though. I'm not sure if they had different motion actresses for the changes in the English version or something.....

My vote would have to go to the english version, I like the song in japanese but then again I thought the FMV effects were alot better and it showed alot more emotion being let out than the japanese one. I liked the english one more mainly 'cause alot more was going on in it than the japanese one.
japanese for the song
english for the FMV

I should really get my hands on the japanese version
Only then I'd be able to judge, no?

I must say, I enjoyed the english one better. Jade sung the song better than Koda Kumi (although Koda did better at real Emotion), and Yuna's and Lenne's movements in the Japanese FMV seemed a bit too robotic.

I think i like the english cersion better simply because i can understand what they are saying and i can think/reflect in what they are saying. It means something, but if i listen in japanese i just like the way they sound i can't appreciate it. But i havn't seen both videos i've been looking for the Japanese one but can't find, if someone knows where i can download it please tell me!

Please don't use "JAP" use Japanese. It offends some japanese people. anyways I thought the english one was better because they had both Lenne and Yuna singing on stage. I didn't like it in the japanese version how yuna turns to lenne and back and forth.

I prefer the English version for the FMV, the reasons are mostly what the past few posts stated about the Japanese FMV(robotic movments, turn back and forth etc) however I think the Japanese version of the song is much better =3

My personal opinion is I love the English FMV. The movements are more smooth to me, and Spoiler Showed where Lenne and Yuna are both singing near the end which i find explans a bit more about the songstress dressphere. However, I perfer the Japanese song. Even though I dont understand what shes saying I just think if songs were orginally sang in Japanese they shouldnt be made into english. To me in the english one it sounds like shes gasping for air too...

I've heard them both. I love the way the Japanese version of the song flows, it flows so much better than the English version. The song however, makes more sense to me in English. Although that may be because I don't speak Japanese..
Reguardless my vote goes to the Japanese version.

Here are the lyrics to the original Japanese version Sung by the great jpop star KODA KUMI(WOO She is a GREAT singer.)I've got other music of hers.
I know that you lied to me
Using gentle words to shelter me
Your words so like a dream
But dreams could never fool me
It's not right to me...
I'm acting so distant now
Turned my back as you walked away
But I was listening
That you fight your battles far from me
It's not right to me...
"Don't you worry 'cause I'll come back."
I could hear you speaking as
You walked through the door
I acted strong
To hide the pain when I
Turned back the pages
Crying out a windy answer
What if I shed my tears and
Begged you not to leave?
But now I'm not afraid
To do what's in my heart...
Those thousand words
Have never been spoken
So far away
I'm sending them to you wherever you are
Suspended on shining wings
Those thousand words
Have never been spoken
They'll treasure you
Make you no longer dare seem
So far away
And hold you forever
That dream isn't over yet
I pretend and say, "I can't forget."
I still live in my day
You've been there with me all the way
It's not right of me...
"Don't you worry 'cause I'll write to you."
I could see you speaking as
You looked away
I acted strong
To hide the love when I
Turned back the pages
Anger might've been the answer
But if I shook my head and said
That I can't wait
But now I'm not afraid
To do what's in my heart...
Those thousand words
Have never been spoken
So far away
I'm sending them to you wherever you are
Suspended on shining wings
Those thousands words
Have never been spoken
They'll treasure you
Make you no longer dare seem
So far away
And hold you forever
Those thousand words
Have never been spoken
La la la la
I'm sending them to you wherever you are
Suspended on shining wings
Those thousands words
Have never been spoken
La la la la
Make you no longer here
Feel like calling me
La la la la...

Even though the I didn't mind both versions, the Japanese version was better, mainly because I've heard the Japanese version first, but I still prefer the Japanese after listening to the English version.

Normally I'd go for the Japanese version, the language sounds so cool imo, but the FMV from the ENglish version is better, cause you see that Yuna and Lenne are singing together, in the Japanese version, you don't see them together, but apart...so that's why I liked the English version
