I can offer my suggestion now, Sel. I'd catch you on MSN, but you're not logged in. I've got a verdict on this that I think you'll find appealing.

Firstly, Fenrir, I agree with Sel. It is a nice idea, and a cool character; probably awesome for the plot. However, there is the question Sel brought up of godmodding. Now, I'm a fair person, but without any of your work to look at, I don't know how well you deal with using a potentially powerful character in a non-godmodding way.

As such, Sel, if you agree, I'd like to suggest that he's allowed to use the character. However, I'd also like him to give me some of his work to look at; preferably a battle. Either something he's done in the past, or a new one he can write up on the spot. He can PM this to me, I can check it over, see just how capable he is of using a powerful character without taking advantage of it, and if he's fine, let him use the wolf.

Third, everybody... dwarves, I need dwarves people. As well as worshippers of some other Gods... Mirgalen and Morwen, more specifically.

Might not be my place but as a fellow rp master I have to say I've noticed some of you have elf characers and low ages. From my expreinse in the fantasy world an elf isn't considered an adult until at least their 100th year of life. Some of you have them in the 30s range they'd be rather young at that age. Not even really into the teenage stage.

Actually I didn't have much idea of how young or old an elf is, but given Angel Della Notte's (is there a shorter name I can call you with?) experience, I think it would be wise if the players of elves take note of what is said.

PS. Interesting fact, I read that elves in Lord of The Rings aren't considered adult until they passed their first millenium. O.O I'm not sure if it's true (read the books but not in much details) but isn't that amazing?

As for elves usually in the rpg world they aren't quite that old I generally have them live into the 1500 range but at that age they are rather old. Ben does D&D campains he might be able to shed some light on that for us as well.

Is there any surname? It'll add some depth to a character. John Taylor is so much more interesting than a mere 'John'.


Plain white eyes? That's... a little creepy and honestly, unless the person is blind, nobody normal (even elves) should have white eyes.

Nope, no can do. You forgot to change this to Wind Goddess and I seriously doubt you want a female's face on your male character. And I really wouldn't appreciate having a person looking like a God in the roleplay. In other words, please change into another distinguisable mark. You can choose to have none, of course.


Err... five fingers on each of his two hands does not need to be mentioned, unless you mean he has a total of only five fingers. Please try to not add extra punctuation, it's distracting. And how try to describe how he look like... normal typical man or some shaggy vagabond, or some other type of look a person could have.

Wind Goddess, not Wind God. And please learn how to use a fullstop, they are very useful. Why is he searching for the Moon Crystal for the Wind Goddess? Did she tell him to do so, or he just thought it would please her? His magic... let's not put at the highest level, let's just have higher than average or something like that. Highest level sounds ubered, which means a little godmodding, even if you mean his personal highest level. It sounds a little vague if anything.

I know I may sound a little picky and may just bit a little... but it really is for your own good. If I just approve of your profile, with I frankly say isn't very good, it will make the others unhappy. So please, if you want to be approved and join the IC, work more on your profile... and language. Everybody like to be able to understand what another person is talking about, if you get what I mean.

DeadfireI suggest reading the other profiles in this thread if you haven't already and see how they are structured and try to structure your character the same. Being very detailed and in depth about everything is a very good start.

I know I'm approved, but I just wanted to clarify a few things about my character.

I'm sorry I worshipped the Fire God, no other god really fit my character. As for the one-word name, it's just the first word a mortal said to him, and it stuck with him; I'll add that into my bio.

Oh and if he really is raised to worship her, I still have to request for another logical reason to why he was born in Zigla.

I'd like some help, if anyone is willing to provide some, PM me as to not clogged Sel's thread? I have a general idea, it just doesn't sound right.

I felt that the Shadow Goddess wasn't evil, as you did not expicitly specify that, but I just touched on her carefulness and caution when choosing her servants. Also, since there's a generalization that dark (or shadow) means evil and that people of that alignment feel that they can control darkness easily, then their determination and will makes them almost good candidates for use of the powerful magic, but still there are a lot of exceptions to this, so I'm not bothering to go into it.

As for my character, I am not a person to take something huge and run with it (unlike the nature of my char for those who read his bio) so I am well aware of keeping him as limited in "power and skill" as possible, unless the situation calls for it, like a fight ...so don't worry lil Seluna.

Firstly, thanks for your approval, I know my character isn't as developed as some but i like to keep things open ended and build opon it. ^^

Secondy, what kind of creatures exist in the roleplay? Dragons? Pegasus? Giraffes? Giants? Cyclops? Nymphs? etc.etc. and all that jazz. Just curious so I can start conjuring some ideas and whatnot.

If that's really how you feel, I don't think RPing is really for you. You should put just as much, if not more thought into how you create your character as opposed to how you develop him/her. Your character feels far too vaguely defined and DBZesque, it's not a good sign.

This kind of RPing isn't Dungeons & Dragons. You can't afford to do that. This is storytelling.

Oh, and I kind of forgot about the Krug thing, better edit that into mine. I changed my alignment to "Unknown," since Krug isn't a member of the Moonseeker party and you don't want alliances with the gods. And Sel, get on MSN. I need to talk to you.

I think i have to agree with LE about your attitude there. Not to offend, but i think you've put too little effort in your profile. For one, its the spelling, if you had bothered to re-read carefully what you've typed before, I doubt there will be as many spelling mistakes in that single post.

For two, although I can't exactly decipher what you meant in the quote(^^^), I didn't think I liked the content too much. At least put some effort to make posts friendly to the eye. No offence again, but when I saw the overview of your profile my thoughts went, 'Oh my god one of those profiles again.'

Spacing behind signs and symbols (, . : ; ? etc.), do spell check before you post, read and re-read your posts for grammatical errors and etc.
Most importantly, you yourself must find it neat and all before you post. If even the writer himself finds his works messy, what do you think the opinions of his readers would be?

Please refer to Sel's post in correcting parts of your post. Three spelling mistakes, two punctuation mistakes and one grammar mistake. Which is saying something, since its only two sentences which can easily be shortened into one. And I still think the descriptions are not enough. Can't exactly picture his face in my mind without more details. Once again, no offence meant in the whole paragraph here.

His magic... I suggest to put it at a higher level, he is a priest for Favonius and priests can't exactly have only above average magic. Just don't overdo it.

Well, that's about it i guess...

Sidenote - I liked the profile and character, so don't go thinking like people are all against you and ignore your character and mind all the mistakes you made, yada yada. I'm not going to speak up for other people, but the things that i point out, they're what I, as a reader, would prefer to have changed since its not so.... reader-friendly. Anyways, think them not of flames but pointers.

A note on elves, though. I was under the impression they physically aged at the same pace as humans, and simply stopped looking physically older around 27-30.. Then began physically aging again after 6-700, albeit at a slow pace? It wouldn't really make sense to have someone looking like an infant for well over a hundred years.. I think you should take that into consideration, Sel.

Erm, just posted to say that i editted my post and deleted the age part. Sel wanted it deleted. Says that the age part is too messy and to not mess with it now.

My explanation on the age thing is... well, it's just age >.< as long as I have an idea how long that character has lived, how old other will regard that char is, and all that makes sense, it's fine with me. And yes, I realized that elves should age physically at the same pace as humans ^^;; but since it should be quite commonly known, I didn't mention it.

However, for the benefit of everyone, those using elves for characters, please change the age to a logical one if it's not. And note the above about elves aging physically at the same pace as human.

Dreamers just has a much higher standard for RPs than most forums do. We usually keep nitpicking until everyone has a high-quality profile. You'll get used to it eventually. Until then, just take everyone's advice, and do your best. Approval will come, simply be patient. =)

No at all, I think they are great characters. Admittedly I don't have a lot a lot of roleplaying experience as compared to some of you, but I think that your characters are somewhat original ^^ more original than mine, at least. Just to let you know, you're allowed to modify the profiles if you wish to make them better.

Deadfire I completely skipprd over your post I couldn't read it. Perhaps when you change speakers you could drop to the next line like this:

See that's much easier to follow than:

When every paragragh flows like this it's really hard to keep track of who is saying what.

Most probably called gold. I doubt Sel would prefer to use the FF version of money. Most money in RPs are called gold as well, i think.

One important thing that I would like everyone to note... Ariania is a CONTINENT and to reach Ariania... you travel over an OCEAN. By normal means, which is not by airplane or teleportation, you take several days at least to cross the OCEAN and halfway through the CONTINENT.

I'll let it go this time since Ariania is fairly small compared to the other continents, but please bear in mind that the continents are not... as big as Singapore. Especially not Condarca and Sohrya. Sohrya has mountain range for lord's sake. To take an example, in LOTR, the trip from Helm's Deep to Isengard is took at least a week if I remember correctly. So yea... travelling takes up quite an amount of time.

On the same point, if your character is going to follow or chase them according to where you heard they were, they might not be at that same spot. There's a lot of travelling involved.

Another note... if your character has a Moon Shard already, keep in mind that Moon worshipper will be alerted to it immediately when they are in range. Even the weakest talentless Moon worshipper will know that a Moon shard is near because of how much power that one Moon Shard holds. So to make it logical, let's cut down on the number of people who already found a Moon Shard.

Also, please let me know beforehand if you plan to find a Moon Shard or has found a Moon Shard. I would like to keep track of the Moon Shards at least, or something disastrous like... for example... an eleventh Moon Shard appear when there's only ten Moon Shards. So tell me beforehand. Can we get more descriptions about the various personalities of the gods? So far we have little more than a sentence each to go on. Seeing as I have a paladin dedicated to the thunder god, I would like to know what kind of things make him "angry". Just a wish list.

Also, If we go by D&D definitions, a paladin is a force for good reguardless of what deity (if any) he follows. So should I change my charecter to a Fighter/cleric, or leave as is? I would like to think the thunder god is not completely evil, or i will have to make the change.

You requested someone else take care of the ages fro dwarves and half- orcs. If we keep with D & D , dwarves live for about 400 years and half-orcs rarely make it past 75.

Sorry if this is a bit disorganized, but I need to get to class.
