March 15, 2005 - Square Enix, Inc., the publisher of Square Enix™ interactive entertainment products in North America, announced today that MUSASHI®: Samurai Legend™ is now available at nationwide retailers. The action role-playing game is available exclusively for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and marks the series’ debut on the platform. MUSASHI features vivid, cell-shaded graphics and exhilarating, fast-paced, action-packed gameplay.

Musashi delivers an expressive visual odyssey thanks to dazzling “manga shading” techniques. Adorable characters and lush environments come to life in a combination of Japanese animation and American comic-book styles. The journey begins when Princess Mycella summons Musashi across space and time to save her people from danger. As a stranger in a new world, Musashi finds intrigue and adventure as he hones his battle skills to defeat a sinister nemesis.

All-new battle systems contribute to non-stop action. Musashi can focus his energy to learn his opponents' techniques, allowing him to give enemies a taste of their own medicine. And this time Musashi can not only pick up allies and enemies but also wield them in combat to devastating effect.

Tsk. I was hoping Square would delay this since, I wouldn't have time for it. x( Damn. I hope the pricing is good though. Hopefully, like Y's.. I can find the title for $30 bucks, and no more.
Meh, I will try and pick it up.. Since i'm a huge fan and all..

Hmmm...the graphics reminds me of Naruto Heros 2. Oh well, I'm just gonna pick up this game if I ever see it =X I wonder whether the increasing the health manner is still animal abusive lol(I just can't seem to stop thinking about it) xD

Its very well possible that the two games share the same art director, Sasuke. I don't know when I'll pick up this game seeing as I don't have a Playstation 2... or a job for that matter... but hopefully eventually. I just hope its not riddled with required minigames like the orginal Musashi. (I also wish someone would make a game based on the real Miyamoto Musashi.)

Good to hear that Musashi: Samurai Legend is out in stores. Too bad it will have limited success. Square-Enix plan on it having little success when it did little to no advertising and didn't really hype the title up at all. Musashi: Samurai Legend should do as good as the first title of the series, which is good enough, I guess.

Man, I want to get this game, but I'm broke. I want to try out more Action RPG outside of Zelda. I might like the genre then, but it's doubtful I'll ever like this sub-genre of RPG more than Strategy.
