New OP and ED for Bleach this week.
"Tonight, Tonight, Tonight" by Beat Crusaders
"Hanabi" by Ikimono-gakari
The OP is ok, but not that great, but the ED is pretty solid. Can't wait for the full verison of Hanabi. As for the anime, it was a one hour special this week. It was not that terrible, but it's not that great. Like I said, the this filler saga not all that bad, but the animation could be better.

This week, Shounen Jump announced that there will be a BLEACH MOVIE. There isn't much info out yet, but the movie will be out in December 2006.
http://www.bleach7.com/You can watch the promo in the link below.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuOr682PfkQWell, it was expected that a movie for Bleach would be coming at some point. No real information about the movie just yet. Though, like most anime movies, don't expect it to follow the storyline. Except it to be like a Naruto and DBZ type movie. Should be extremely flashy and a lot of your favorite characters in action.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZSlpIhO3tsLink to the latest trailer for it, nothing revealing though except maybe a character that looks like a cross between Ukitake and Kenpachi. The movie will be out 16th of December in Japan
I also read just about everywhere that it's going be on par with the second Naruto Movie, so don't expect something great out of this.
You can also find the synopsis on the movie on the actual site, problem is, it's in Japanese xD. So if you can read that, luck you.

For no real good reason, I felt like watching Bleach. Since the filler arc is an actual story and find it mildly entertaining before I decided not to bother keeping up with it back in June after I lost my net for a month. I decided to start watching it once again and to my surprise, it's got very good.
QUOTE (Spoiler)
Bounto have invaded Soul Society in rehash telling of Ichigo and company invasion of Soul Society. Instead, obviously, it's war for Bounto while Ichigo and company were on a resue mission. While it's rehash, I'm finding it quite enjoyable since all the battles don't involve the Ichigo and involve other characters. The most recent battle involved Zaraki and Ichinose.
The invasion continues of Soul Society. Here's hoping to see more captains in action. Obviously, nobody would reveal their bankai if they haven't the previous arc. It was cool to see Byakuya fight with his bankai once again. Wasn't as much eye candy as before, but the animation been getting more better in these later episodes.
So far, it's got much better after the first bunch of filler episodes were kinda boring, but it's got a lot better lately. Though, not sure how many people are watching the filler arc here.
So, any person still following the series?
Oh yeah, there's a new OP and ED, but I'm sure most people know that.

Lol... I'm still trying my very best to convince myself that Bleach has no filler. The first few... more like half to a dozen of filler episodes were not to my liking, especially with some rather obvious logic errors coupled with not as good animation. But if they invaded Soul Society... I may just want to check it out. I don't know yet, since I have some animes I have yet to finish.

Only managed to watch upto episode 96, I think the latest is 99 or so... so I have a few to get off of my brother. I don't know anyone that's watched all the filler eps besides me... or the fact that I'm the only one that likes it xDD.
The animation isn't too good because we all know it's fillers, but the storyline has moved on from bounto's acting like vampires. I'll see if I can get the rest of the eps from my friends instead since they've been updating me on the series so far since I can't get it xDD.
QUOTE (spoiler?)
Kind of weird how they decided to make Yoshino and Ran'Tao look the same. Byakuya using his Bankai again was cool even if the animation wasn't very good when Ichigo did a few slashes. But things should be getting more interesting from this point on. xP
I think the best starting point would be Ep 95, Sel since they did a short recap of what's happening so far.

Yeah, I've recently become a bit of a fanboy of the show. I just finished watching up to episode 99 on YouTube not long ago, and I'm still loving it. Ichigo's my favorite character, with "Chad" being my second favorite. Don Kan'Onji is quite awesome as well, haha. Been listening to a handful of the opening and ending themes lately (as well as other songs by the artists who did them), and I grabbed the first OST sometime last week. Heck, I'm even thinking about "dressing up" as Ichigo, more or less, for Halloween this year. Haha. Been going a li'l nuts over this show these days. o.o; Love it.
There's also supposed to be a movie (as mentioned above) coming out in December, though I don't know if it'll hit the states or not. >.< I hope it does. For those who don't know about it, it's called "Memories of Nobody," and it's supposed to take place... sometime right after the first Soul Society arc, I believe. (When the anime-only Bount arc starts up, I believe.)

The opening dosen't show any bounto or anything, I'm guessing when the next ending comes around since it shows those detectors. I hope to see Sado and Ishida fight before this arc is over..but knowing bleach, they'll screw over my favorite characters and have either Ichigo kill them all or Kariya kill them all and Ichigo kill Kariya. - -; Movie looks stupid too.

I'm pretty sure it had Kariya in the new opening at least for around 3 seconds, but the rest of the opening focuses on Ichigo's hollow side and all of the other flashy characters, so I'm assuming the fillers should end soon. If not, then they might put in Ichigo's hollow side fighting Kariya, which might not be too surprising.
The ending is blaghy... nothing really interesting about it and the song's abit iffy as well (at least to me). Rolling Star sung by Yui, I love though xPP.
Anyways, finally managed to get up-to-date with Bleach and I got that Yoshino thing answered xP. Episode 100 this week, might be a good one... or not.

The show is bombdiggidy, but honestly I am starting to get bored of the bunto story at first I thought it was kick ass but now its just getting drawn out so long that I hope they end it soon.
Watching episode 99 has given me at least some hope that the bunto plot will end sometime soon.

Finished the filler arc today, it was alittle typical but whatever I thought it was good xP.
They changed the OP animation but still kept the song for it, it's pretty much set that they're returning to the original storyline since I have no clue who the characters are appearing in the OP but it looks good and the animation seems back to normal for it as well.
I'm thinking about picking up the manga (the amount of people telling me to pick it up ages ago xDD). So, just a question of what's the latest manga put out and I'll give it a search?

Episode 63 is annoying >.> So far it's just been showing battles that have happened in soul society (I've skipped them, I can't be bothered to watch it again just with Ichigo, Kon and Renji commenting over the top of it...)
*Soul Society Spoilers Ahoy* (Don't read if you havn't reached episode 63 yet)
I don't really understand why they set up that battle with the old guy (and they took up a whole episode just showing off this old guys muscles) just to have nothing come of it. Most of the other battles have been very exciting... I find myself looking more forward to battles that Ichigo doesn't appear in. The whole soul Society thing has been very exciting indeed. I thought that maybe the whole story would be neatly tied up but with those guys running off to the Hollow world I guess it's not. The next story arc is filler right? So I guess after that the characters will be going to the hollows world to chase them down...
Should I bother watching the filler arc?

Hm... I just finished the Soul Society arc today myself. I have to agree with Flame on the account of Yamamoto-Genryūsai's zanpakuto release. They neglect to show that fight pretty much entirely. You never really get to see the extent of what Ukitake's and Shinsui's zanpukato are capable of either, aside from their initial release. All trivial things aside though, I thoroughly enjoyed that arc, and I'm excited as to how things will unravel from this point on.

Sounds kinda similar though, except reversed order. They're both half shinigami/hollow, right?
Anyway, I thought Aizen talked about removing someones limit by making them half shinigami, half hollow? But then why are his 10 subordinates all much weaker than himself? What's the point? Why are those with their limits removed weaker than a shinigami? And I thought he was going to aquire a hollow for himself, like Ichigo, but maybe not.

I'm thinking because Aizen was a captain, who kill the 46, deceived soul society, and has the Menos grande working for him, that he is rather more powerful then anything yet. which is possibly why he hasn't been over thrown by a hollow/shinigami.
and yeah, reversed order, but in the way ichigo became a shinigami, I'm guessing it creates a hollow within, where as, hollows who become shinigami, are just themselves.

But what I mean is, Aizen is just a shinigami. By his own words, these Numeros arancar should not have the same limitations as himself.
But if Aizen is so great, then why doesn't he search for/create more of himself instead? (However he came to be so strong)
If Numeros arancar are supposed to surpass the limits of Shinigami, then it sounds like Aizen might be something else if he is still so much more powerful than them.

You have to assume there's more to Aizen than being a mere shinigami. What that exactly isn't explained yet. If Tousen's power the same during the Soul Society arc, he shouldn't even be able to keep up with Aizen's Arrancar. Gin, Tousen and Aizen must have enhanced their power.
What's numeros?
Athrun
Jan 20 2007, 04:40 AM
I don't know if Tousen has increased his powers. He may still be as strong as before. (but perhaps a bit stronger if Aizen has trained him) The reason he can threaten the Espada Arancar is probably because of the position Aizen gave him, and not that he is so strong. You see that Grimmjaw is trying to attack Tousen, but Aizen threatens to kill him if he does. He has to put up with Tousen because of Aizen's orders.
And I think Numeros are the arancar with numbers.
worsle
Jan 20 2007, 09:41 AM
Is there any reason why he would not be a vaizard? They don't have their hollow masks out all the time after all, that and Aizen's power was rather effective means of control any way.

Jan 22 2007, 05:50 AM
As far as I know, Aizen underwent all of the required Shinigami training that the others in Soul Society did. He was a Vice-Captain himself once, and it seems he more or less defected to lead the Arrancar. This is just by speculation, of course. It seems that he's controlling the Arrancar specifically, and not full-fledged Hollows. So I'm going to have to agree with Atty at this point. It does make me wonder too, however... Aizen is very respected by his inferiors, and I'm suspicious of his overall limits as well.

I was more satisfied with this episode than the last. While I'm usually not bothered by filler-ness and the like, the previous episode seemed almost pointless, and could've been summarized in a mere sentence or two. (I guess it's just 'cause it was a bit of an introduction to the new arc and its villains, though.) My only complaint about the new one: Did they really have to show Yoruichi eating for THAT long?! Sheesh! Talk about a waste of time that could've been spent on a fight scene or an important discussion or something similar. However, I was glad to see some more action and story in this one. Looking forward to the upcoming episodes, as usual.
