Lost Seraphim
It certainly was good to see everyone again. I thought the conversation between Ukitake and Hisagi was pretty interesting, since Ukitake reveals that Orihime isn't exactly a normal human, and may potentially become a shinigami when she comes to Soul Society.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing Grimmjow in action again. I'm wondering if missing an arm will make any difference up against Ichigo's Hollow form.

And I simply cannot wait to see Kisuke tear it up again. Can't wait for next week.
FaytLeingod
i just watched 138! ehhh like someone said before good way to get back in the story line. kinda pathetic how ichigo can only hold that hollow form for 11 seconds...saddd. but anyways whats with that new arranchar? err wonderwice? or something. is he in espada? cause i dont think all his screws are in if you know what i mean. lol
Athrun
That new one is not in Espada. It's just a new Arrancar, but perhaps it will be in Espada later. Who knows.
Death
Hiks, I thought that spoiler on nell was fake.

=/

Konohamaru for Atsuki prez!
Athrun
Actually, so did I... =/

Konohamaru for God!

Well if you think about it logically, there's no machine that can tell them exactly who are Espada, because it is Aizen's decision who is an Espada or not. A machine can't determine that. Secondly, it showed four of them, which means it also counted Grimmjow, and he is no longer an Espada.
So basically the machine probably senses that they are as strong as Espada. But that new small guy is not one of them.
FaytLeingod
ooh yea that does make sense. lol oops
Athrun
A clip from the new episode. Grimmjow vs. Ichigo.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSFeHDsXwJg

Good episode. Next one should be good as well.
Chalryn
Just finished watching 139. I only have one complaint, though it's nothing big. 11 seconds seems like a really long time in this show, doesn't it? XD Anyway, that aside, good episode. Good to see Ichigo in action, as well as Urahara. I wish Ikkaku was more free to use his bankai, as I'm sure it'd make him much more useful, but oh well.

No preview after the episode, for some reason. Huh... huh.gif
Wiki's got the next two episode titles up, though, so those give an idea of what'll happen, at least.
Athrun
I kind of expected that after seeing Sakura in Naruto talk about having two minutes left, lasting for over 20 minutes.
It did seem a lot closer to 11 seconds in the manga though. My only complaint is that when they excahanged blows with the swords in the end it looked pretty weak, and I didn't get the sense that he would definitely finish off Grimmjow like I did in the manga. Probably because that part didn't even happen in the manga. Anyway, just a minor complaint. Otherwise it was a pretty good episode and the next one should be even better.
Athrun
Hmmmm...

I wonder where Halibel has her tattoo? Not many places to hide it. It should be interesting to see... for educational purposes of course. =p
FaytLeingod
that sucks that ichigo lost his mask at the last second. but oh well. and did you see wonderwice act with errr i forgot his name but the weird guy with the hat? lol kinda scary there. and..Halibel???? geeezzzzzzzzz i bet when that hits the US it'll be cut out. but yea...where would the tattoo be?
Chalryn
I'm not sure how late I am in realizing this, but apparently, Dattebayo finished subbing the movie, Memories of Nobody. I started watching it a little while ago, but I'm going to hold off on finishing it until later, when I can watch it with a friend. Just figured I'd make the announcement, for anyone who hasn't found it already.
Natsuki
I watched the movie awhile ago and thought it was good. Although I found it alittle fast paced and thought the ending was sweet except for that little thing where Rukia said they're not going to remember Senna anymore after a couple of seconds and then Ichigo seems to know she was walking/blowing by in the wind at the end O.o?

The drawing that Uruhara did cracked me up! reminded me of the first or second ep where Rukia did the drawing of the hollow world etc... I guess they revisited that joke for Bleach series followers xP.

There's news that another bleach movie will be hitting the screens in December 22nd of this year (Bleach: The DiamondDust Rebellion). Although, we'll have to wait till next year for the DVD release and someone to sub it x(.

Here's the official site: >HERE<
Plot line for the movie on Wiki: >HERE<
FaytLeingod
where do you watch stuff from Dattebayo, Chalryn? cause i really wanted to watch the movie but i couldnt. well i downloaded it but the quality was just so crappy i couldnt stand it.
Athrun
Just type Dattebayo in Google wink.gif

I got the movie as well. I didnt watch much of it yet though but I like it better this time arround than the handcam version I watched arround a year ago.
Death
I liked it.

WHy, because it was actually good. Compared to some of the naruto movies, this was amazing.
DayDreamer
Yeah this movie is definitely better than the naruto movies. They've done a very clever job on it too by making it 'possibly' fitting into the actual storyline but at the same time not affecting it with the whole losing memory idea.
True Rune
No more fillers is nice, I'm glad I got to see Ichigo with the mask on. Though the expected beating after it wore off was kinda lame, because it was expected and has happened like 3 times already.. I do hope things move along soon..
FaytLeingod
episode 140 was a really bad episode. nothing really happened. just people fought...and ichigo couldnt put his mask back on...and yea...nothing to great.

Well what did you expect? Its just the beginning of the hueco mundo arc you can't expect omg fights so soon.

As for episode 141 not really much to comment on except that Ulqiorra is just a dead cold man who has no emotions at least until we can see later in the episodes.

O and 7th season is beginning next week wooo!!!

mabye this week? who cares its coming anyways
Chalryn
Indeed, the Hueco Mundo arc officially starts this week, with 142.

All I can really say is that this episode made me excited for future episodes. Chad's got his improved arm, and Uryuu's finally back on-screen. Tatsuki's confrontation with Ichigo was a bit on the intense side. This next week better pass quickly.
Lost Seraphim
Very happy to see Uryū back, and it was nice to see Byakuya again too. Loved Isshin's shirt as well, haha. I'm amped for next week. Looking forward to seeing Ishida and Chad's new abilities.

And this was arguably the most disturbing Golden Cup yet...

Man have I fallen behind Bleach..... I basically stopped after the Soul Society Arc. I read the manga before I saw the anime (and i still rlly havent seen any of the anime), but since the manga is still in Soul Society (or rather just finished I think), I kind ajust let it go. Other than that, I've been trying to keep updated on wikipedia and whatnot, but I'm just not insipired enough to keep watching it.

Sounds like I'm missing out though, and I miss seeing Sado in action, Chad is definitely my favorite character by far, and one of my favorite anime characters of all time.
Chalryn
Happy birthday to Squad 10's Rangiku Matsumoto~!

*eh-hem*
That aside, two notes on Bleach:
1.) The next episode (143) should bring a new opening and ending theme, based on what I read.
2.) For those who watch the English dub, the season 1 DVD box is scheduled for release on October 30th (in the US, at least).

I'm finally back into Bleach! Woo! The Bounto story arc had stopped me for a while but this week I watched episodes 90 - 119 and I plan to try to catch up pretty soon. Its strange, the more I watch it, the less I care about Ichigo. I don't even really want to see any of his fights because they are the most boring normally. I'm interested in the character change of Inoue and how she is starting to feel inadequate, and the same with Chad. The fight of the bald bloke vs the arrancar is turning out really damn interesting... I know the next episode I watch is a flashback which is a little annoying but it won't put me off. Its nice to see the ball rolling, and the inclusion of weaker characters getting the spotlight a little. I must admit, as enemies, I don't care much for the Arrancar, Viazards OR Aizen, but I'm hoping that doesn't last long.
Natsuki
Dude, Aizen's cool attitude just gets me xD~!

Ep 142 was meh, at least they kept with close to the manga than randomly sticking filler parts in there. I have a feeling 143 won't show much of Ichigo's group getting into too much action, maybe just end the ep when they're about to start fighting? - They'd probably just drag the episode, drawing all the lines of how they got Inoue in Hueco Mundo x/... BUT you'll never know, I just have a feeling xD.

I would LOVE to see that little sketch of Byakuya indirectly telling Rukia to go to Hueco Mundo xD.

I can't wait to see Nell get in there too~! <3

I don't think they'll even have time to show the first fight. First there's the part about Grimmjow helping Lupi to "kiss his own ass", and then there's Ichigo getting backup, encountering Nell and her friends, and the Espada meeting where Aizen asks Grimmjow to "sit down". =p

Anyway, something in the manga confused me quite a bit.

Noitra mentioned that Nell left the Espada years ago.
But it was my understanding that there were no successful attempts at creating Arrancars until Aizen obtained the Hogokyou crystal? So how could the Espada have existed several years ago when Aizen aquired the crystal seemingly a few months ago at the most? (Remember that the Bount arc was a filler, and that they returned back to Earth shortly after Aizen disappeared in the manga.)
Chalryn
Indeed, not a whole lot happened in 143. Actually, I was almost appalled by how little had happened in the first half, once the halfway marker came on screen. However, I was definitely excited to see the fathers again, both of whom I would really like to see more of, and learn more about. (Especially the apparent link between the two. Former comrades? Rivals? I'm quite interested in the history of those two.)

Still no new OP and ED, though. >.< Hoping for them soon.
Lost Seraphim
So the full extent of Orihime's Shun Shun Rikka is explained, and brought into a better light in 143. When looked at the way Aizen put it, she really is somewhat of deity. If she's able to heal virtually any kind of injury by reverting time, I can just imagine the destructive offense she's capable of that we haven't seen.

The highlight of the episode for me was when Grimmjow DOES AWAY WITH LUPPI. "Damn right." Not fit to wear the 6.

Also interesting to see the relationship Ryūken and Isshin share. Not unlike their sons. Hoping to see them more often, especially since Isshin "got his powers back" and is now donning his shinigami robes, and Ryūken is clearly able to hold his own.

New OP and ED should be aired with next weeks episode.
OP: " After Dark" by ASIAN KUNG FU GENERATION
ED: "Tane wo Maku Hibi" by Atari Kousuke

Latest episode which came out this week is 143. (Compared to Naruto, it's actually not that much x/).

Yeh, as expected, of course they didn't go straight into Ichigo's group fighting the Arrancars etc... They're going about this at a slow pace so they don't catch up with the manga too quickly =_=. They most likely won't be able to fit in the fights in the next episode since they have yet to go through Ulquiorra's explanation and so on.
Flame
Well I finally caught up to episode 143 today (Not bad considering I was stuck on episode 90 until a couple of weeks ago). And I can honestly say that the thing I want to see the most is more Tatsuki Arisawa (Inoue's best friend). I don't care much about Ichigo's other two friends and I kind of liked them being seperate from the main story, but I'd really like to see Arisawa have more of a role. I like her character but moreso her relationship with Ichigo and inoue. They've been building up her character for a while now so it's something I really want to see.

Chad is going to play a main role again (I assume)! Woo, my favourite part of the series was when the characters all first went into Soul Society and so I'm excited about them going into Hueco Mundo by themselves. I like what they have done with Inoue's character as well, she has really changed and grown.

143 was good, it's always good to see Ichigo's Dad... although he is almost schizophrenic it seems. I had always assumed that it was Ichigo's mother who was a shinigami and the reason they all had strong spiritual power (Although I don't rule that out for a second, afterall we never see what happens to her when the Hollow attacks). I think it'll be good to take some focus away from the captains for a while and get back to some of the other characters who are developing far better (Like the Urahara Clan and the humans).

And that's my two cents...

Oh yeah... when is the next episode out?

That would explain why no one recognises Ichigo's last name.

I did think the same thing (not the Royal guard thing, but the fact that everyone would know his name). However, When Ishida's father calls him by his last name, Ichigo's dad exclaims that he has never heard Ishida's Dad call him Kurosaki. It's quite likely that he had some other alias or that he chose the name Kurosaki when he came to the the real world. I just don't see why he would be exiled from soul society if he wasn't even in soul society and was instead in another dimension as a Royal Guard.

Anyway, I've no clue either way.

Yeah I noticed that too when Ishida's dad said that. But his powers coming back exactly when Aizen did something regarding the King's Key and knowing all about his plans and such is pretty strange since he doesn't seem to have any connections to any shinigami from Soul Society, unlike Urahara who at least has people who travel back and forth to Soul Society to give him information, especially Yoruichi and Ichigo.
But when did they say that ichigo's dad was exiled from Soul Society?
Lost Seraphim
Arr. No 144 this week. Looks to be another anime-exclusive arc starting with 147 too. Looking forward to it, to be honest. It seems like it should tie in with the current Hueco events without much of a problem. We shall see.

Isshin's involvement with Soul Society hasn't been explained too much, at least not at this point in the anime, I don't think. Unless I've gone a bit foggy. That's something I remain interested in though. Whether his departure was forced or amicable, along with his significance there.

i want to see what ishida's and chad's new powers are. like Chalryn said Chad all of a sudden got a new are soo did him and err i forgot his name do something special for him to get his new arm?

Anime-exclusive arc is just a fancy term for fillers xD. But yeh, starting from Ep 147+ there's going to be fillers since Tite Kubo needs to create more material Dx, like get creating for us already!

We should be able to see Chad and Ishida show off their powers in the next ep, oh... I want to see Ishida's new bow animated, the manga gave a pretty nifty picture but it would be good to see how it's actually done in the anime X_x.

It's a shame Ririn, Cloud and Nova aren't in the manga xP.
Athrun
Wow, fillers already? I can't say I like that idea. The whole thing about going to huelco umndo was about the sense of urgency. That they had to hurry to get out of there. Ichigo even says that he decided to save his strength and not use Bankai until he ncountered an espada. But from the sounds of it they're going to end up in a few extra fights that weren't in the manga, using up their stamina unnecesary.
True Rune
New episode was pretty Good, though Sado fighting was kinda lame so far. But that is his power so I'm not going to whine. I hope the upcoming fillers are interesting at least..
Chalryn
Was great to discover that Dattebayo was just pulling a YHBT when they said they were dropping Bleach. Phew.

The new Asian Kung-Fu Generation OP seems much more fitting for Bleach than the Aqua Timez one, I think. Kinda reminiscent of the Orange Range OP. The ED, I don't have much to say about, but it's sure as hell better than the Chatmonchy one, I think. Haha.

As for the episode, overall decent, imo. It's such a great feeling to be watching the story actually progress, especially when the spotlight's on characters like Ichigo, Chad, and Uryuu. I'm always looking forward to seeing more fighting skills from those three, and I just enjoy them as characters otherwise, so it was nice to have some time just to them for this episode. Of course, they had to go and slap me in the face by ending it on El Directo. <.<; Damn Bleach and their constant cliffhangers. Haha.

I, too, am hoping these upcoming fillers are at least decent. That handful of fillers during the Arrancar Arc were pretty ridiculous for the most part. The idea of Rukia randomly going missing sounds kinda weird, but at the same time, it sounds like it could be interesting.
Lost Seraphim
QUOTE (Chalryn @ Oct 18 2007, 11:03 AM) *
ending it on El Directo. <.<;

Really.

I'm enjoying the new OP and ED far more than the last. Certainly more fitting, to me at least. The introduction of Uryū's Ginrei Kōjaku was nice. Iceringer was manhandled, more or less. Seeing Chad level Demōra like that was amusing as well. Ichigo caught some flak too, in the form of elbows, haha.

As for the fillers, I'm mildly interested. If they plan on veering off the main story... again, I'd like to see how they plan on carrying the idea solely on its own weight, and how it will fair.
Athrun
Well I didn't dislike the episode, it just wasn't very exciting I guess. Some things like the traps weren't in the manga but I didn't mind that. Though I thought the way they prolongued that battle made it less interesting.

I like the new Openinga nd Endings though. Especially the animation. It was nice to look at. But I noticed in the ending, they showed everyone except Renji. lol Poor guy can't catch a break. =p

Anyway next episode should be good. We get to see the whole Espada.
True Rune
Seems like Renji is getting de-emphasized or something.. I'm not much for the new OP's and ED's but the OP's song is..awesome.
FaytLeingod
i really like the new OP. its pretty cool music wasnt as good as the last one but oh well. im not complaining...i think. anywhos this episode was kinda lame-ish. sure it showed ishida's new power. but i havent seen any of chad's besides he's like way strong. oh yea i forgot there's that one "giant's attack" or something at the end. we'll see. anyone know when the next one is coming?

The episodes of bleach so far are so bad i guess it must from the impatience of wanting to watch the good fights that are supposed to come. Well episode 146 they meet a couple of arrancars, i like the one that looks like a kid she's so funny and the other two look like complete freaks.

Right now there is completely nothing interesting at all occuring in bleach now they have to kick the stuffing out of some guy made of sand. Not to interesting.
Athrun
My comment on todays Bleach Episode.

Can't say it was very interesting. But that shinigami/hollow reminds me of Rukia's upcoming battle, so it felt a bit un imaginative to put her in the same kind of battle twice.
Chalryn
A friend just asked me about this, and I can't seem to find an answer, so I figure I'll ask. It's related to episode 148, though I don't think it calls for a spoiler warning, since it's more of a general question.

In 148, we see Ashido use a Hollow's mask to block a Cero blast. It kind of surprised me at first, though it just seemed to make sense, so I kinda dismissed it at the time. Thinking about it again, the idea of a Hollow's mask being able to negate Cero sounds so familiar, like from sometime earlier in the series, but I can't recall when it might've been mentioned, if at all. I looked it up on Wikipedia, though couldn't find anything mentioned about it. I mean, just thinking about it on my own, it would make sense for a Hollow to be able to resist the Hollow-exclusive ability, but it's just that I can't recall for certain if it's something that's been officially announced or not.

So what's up with this? Is this something that has been shown in the past, whether in the anime or manga? Or is it just something that was probably made up for the filler?
