ok so it got moved to here huh? well i said if your post came here i'd help you. so here it is. the first thing that you proabably want to do is have your strongest attacking E.S. and have momo's E.S. in the party as well. make sure that momo knows fire sword, psycho pocket(or the either that makes you steal), quick(if you want), and some healing ether. then all you have to do is keep attacking with the strong E.S. while you have momo's E.S. heal and recast fire sword. make sure that in the beginning you cast psycho pocket. the accesory really helps later. just keep attacking recasting and healing. thats should do it. anyway if you have Jr.'s E.S. wings of light works well.

Does anyone know how to unlock chaos' and Jr.'s swimsuits for episode 2?

Also, if you co-pilot Ziggy with MOMO and give the ES a 'EMax300' then in battle you can use Meteor blast which does sick amounts of damage. The only problem is that you can't heal as often but the battle should be over in no time.
FaytLeingod
chaos' swimsuit and Jin's swinsuit i think are both unlocked by doing a GS campaign. i think chaos' is in the 25th GS quest and Jin's is... actually i have no idea where to get jin's swimsuit so scratch the idea of it being in a GS quest. but im sure the chaos' is in the 25th quest.
Xerno
You can get Jin's swimsuit by completing the GS Campaign mission where you have to pay off Matthews' debt (oh noes!). You can also get KOS-MOS' X-Buster that way.
FaytLeingod
if you need to pay off the captain's debt to get jin's swimsuit then you are probably going to have to wait till the end of the game to get it. unless you come up with something to get you lots of money and quick.
Spurt Reynolds
its been mentioned i'de imagine, but the best way to do it, is to refight the partiarch over and over, and steal the Awakening IIII everytime, this item is worth 500,000g (think u need 20 of em to fully pay off the deblt.

Also if you havent fought margulis yet, when you do he tends to bring out a shadow of himself, you can steal the Awakening III from both normal margulis and the shadow, so you can get 2.

use one, and sell the other to the robot for 500,000 ( saves one of the particarch trips).

after you have been to the Uzuki Residence and followed that cutscene (and only after then) go to the Ballet Award home, and speak to a woman named Stella (shes laying on a bed in there)
She asks you basically to go get 3 items for her.

Item 1. Theres a guy outside the Area 40 Publishing building, he gives you 'Stella's Hairpin'

Item 2. Theres a woman near the backdoor of the Moby Dick Cafe, she gives you 'Stella's Corset'

Item 3. Theres an older woman towards the ramp that leads to the waterworks area in Sector 2, she gives you 'Stella's Shoes'

Once you have all 3 take em to Stella and you unlock Chaos's Swimsuit, and you get Shion's Swimsuit this was too.

I didn't want to appear as a complete moron noob by posting a topic about a question or two I have where it can be answered by one or two people.

There are a few things said around here that I really dont get. I've played Episode I a number of times and still need to beat Episode II. I comprehend and understand what the testament are, people like Virgil. Thats all I know on them. But I've never heard of this Voyager and a couple other people, I think they are said as other testaments as well.

In the game, I'm in the spot where you fight Margulis, last area before the final battles in that strange system I believe. So should I just get to the game and finish it up, or can somebody explain a couple of these things without ruining the story for me? I've been avoiding spoiler things as I do most of the time, but I'd like to be more involved in the part of the forum, so some help would be appreciated.
Athrun
Well this topic is more for gameplay questions, not story. So you can go on ahead and make a separate topic for this if you want.

But regarding the Testaments, Voyagers story is revealed in Pied Piper. There are a few topics on this where you can read about the game, since it's never been translated into English. Only available in Japan and on cell phone, sadly.

Does any one know where sg file #1 is because I cant find it pls help me sorry if i miss spelled any thing
also is my sig to big pm me if it is ok
FaytLeingod
well in xenosaga 1 you can find the first segment address in the "My Treasure" hotel or whatever hotel is in the Kukai foundation place. In xenosaga 2 it would be in the damarung or however you spell it. its in the room with all the boxes and where you have to make a bridge with the boxes. Destroy all the boxes to get to the back. it should be back there. and yeah your sig is kinda big so you might want to consider resizing it.
OmegaChosen
uh yeah, i'm playing xenosaga 1 and i need some help
i want to get the last two agws from the dock colony before i go to proto merkabah because i want to have the strongest agws to fight the final boss but they are EXPENSIVE!!!!
the first one( i think AG-04) is 80000 but i can get that with a couple of hours of hard work
but the one that is the problem is the last one which i think is AG-05 which is 300000!!!!!
does anyone know how to make a lot of cash really quickly
i've already heard about the encephalon search light money-maker but that takes way too long
and i don't want to play the casino because i don't like it
right now i'm using the dark scepter- gnosis cathedral ship strategy to make money
it's okay, but it still takes too long for my taste
anyone know any faster easier ways?
and one more thing, how much money CAN you make in the casino?
is it a lot?
wait, i just thought of something
okay, there are battles where you fight two unicorns on the cathedral ship right
and if one falls, the other one revives it right?
well, what if you continually used dark scepter on only one of those unicorns, get the emerald and then wait for the other unicorn to revive it and you can just use dark scepter agian and get another emerald!
does that work?
Xerno
Well, I can only help with answering your question about the casino, as that's how I did it. And yes, you can make a lot of money this way. It's just the time it takes to get there that requires some patience. As you probably know, when playing the Slot Reels once you reach 9,999,999 coins, every coin you win past that amount of coins will be payed back to you in money (8GP per coin). 8GP may not seem like much, but you can win plenty of coins with the Nine Reels (which isn't that hard to get or complete). I easily won GP by the 100,000's in the casino. =)

As I said, it's just building up your coins to 9,999,999 first that takes some time.

I can't beat Mikumari, and my A.M.W.S.' are level 55, with emax 300s and auto recover and other equips( I'd check, but my sis is playing the PS2).
I use the Zubulun and Asher
HElp, please! ^^
Xerno
Ah, Mikumari. The hardest ES battle in the game (imo the hardest battle in the game altogether). First of all, I'm sorry to say but lvl. 55 is not enough if you want to beat this boss. You'll need at least *gasp* lvl. 70-75 =p (and personally I recommend lvl. 80, I managed to beat it without too much trouble on that level).

There's still some strategy involved, but this time having high levels is a must. When Mikumari switches masks/faces/whatever it will also change its behavior. When it switches to its other mode (Pure Mode) after his regular attacking mode (Creeping Mode), it can heal you if you know what to do. When it's in Pure Mode, if you cast a Down Ether on it (Down Force, Down Dex, Down Ether, etc.) it will heal either: heal both your ES; heal one of your ES; clear status ailments for one ES. It heals for 8000+ HP, so it's very useful. A message will be displayed when Mikumari is about to switch back to Creeping Mode, until then don't attack him or it will cancel Pure Mode immediately.

You can either attack with ES Asher's Wings of Light and Zebulun's Power Kick near the end of Pure Mode, and then play defensive while Mikumari is in Creeping Mode. Or you can try attacking him during Creeping Mode as well, though it can sometimes be risky 'cause its attacks are extremely powerful, but it's doable.

But as I said, you need to gain higher levels first of all.

PS: Double posting isn't allowed here, just edit your message if you want to add something. ~_^

Thanks so much ^^ i owe you some money or something!
(sorry,i'll remember that!)
Red Winged Seraph
Does anyone know where I can download Xenosaga (Episode I) from? There's no way to purchase it where I live and i've really been wanting to play this game for a while now... Or any other way to get this game would be greatly appreciated.
Xerno
The Dreamers forum doesn't support illegal downloading, so asking where to download it here won't get you anywhere. But alternatively, you could get your PS2 modded (which is what I did), or you could use something called Swap Magic (I think). But I don't know how exactly that works, so I'll leave that to someone else to explain. =p
Red Winged Seraph
What does it mean, to get my PS2 "modded"? are you talking about switching between NTSC and PAL maybe? because that's the only reason why I can't just order the game, my PS2 is PAL and every site I've looked into had only NTSC versions of Xenosaga...
Xerno
Modding your PS2 basically means having a modchip installed into it, which allows your PAL PS2 to play NTSC games. It's quite expensive, using Swap Magic isn't (though I dunno, I've seen some negative criticism about it while others say it works just fine).

I know Swap Magic involves inserting a special disc in your PS2, and then you need to swap it with your game disc to get it to run. Or something like that, as I said I'm not sure how exactly it works.
Darkaqua
eh I dunno whether or not to post a new topic on this subject or not, but...whats the best way to beat Mikumari...? yeah he's an optional, but I wanna beat him
Xerno
Someone made a topic about that a while ago, and after looking where it went for a few minutes I noticed it got merged with this topic now (pffft, mean! xP ). The post is on the previous page, but I'll put it here again:

okay... i ned help in episode 1 when u go to the second ship and you have to defeat the "Mother ship" and im having a really hard time fighting it since it always heals itself and that tremor attack kills off my party in 1 hit, and tips?
Xerno
Did you check the pinned help topic? The one that says "If you need help, look in here first"? =p There's a strategy to beat the Mothership posted in there, in the very first post. So take a look and see if that's of any help: clickie

yeah it helped alot thnx biggrin.gif

Hiya I'm new here. I'm kinda stuck on Xenosaga II I have almost completed the GS path and I dont know where to find 4 of them I cant remember the numbers. Does anyone know a site that can help me fibd them?
Xerno
First of all, I'd like to point out we have this nifty pinned help topic (near the top of the list) to post things like this in =p . But as for your question, I used some guides on Gamefaqs to find and complete all the GS Campaign missions (though back then I didn't find a really user-friendly one, but those faqs have most likely been updated by now): clickie

Obviously the GS Campaign faqs would be your best bet, though some of the walkthroughs contain some good info on those missions as well. Hopefully that helps. But if you can't find what you need, you could just check and tell us the numbers of the GS Campaign missions that you're still missing, and then someone can probably help you out here too. ~_^

Sorry if this topic has been posted before. I recently bought Xenosaga Episode: 2 and loaded the clear data from Episode: 1. I hear the swimsuits can enhance your character's performance from a friend, dont know if that is true, but I have one problem....I dont know how to equip them! can anyone help me out with this?
Xerno
Well, for questions like this you can just post in the main help topic (it's one of the pinned topics near the top of the list). But yes, it's true that the swimsuits increase your attack power (and I think also the amount of skill points you get after battles, or was that only in Episode 1? I forgot). But keep in mind it also decreases your defense.

Either way, you equip them just like the skills (it's on the list with skills you can equip, even though swimsuits obviously aren't skills =p ).
Jon1JZ
Thanks alot Xerno, that really helped me alot. Now, its time for me to beat up some villains.
Demonwing
I'm not sure about the attack increasing, but I know you take 15% more damage, but have an extra point in speed.
Jon1JZ
This crazy lady is driving me nuts. The problems starts when Orgulla shifts into Manes. Anyone got any solutions for me?

Whoops, sorry, I forgot about that pinned topic that Xernos told me about.
Xerno
Tsk tsk =P . Anyways, I already posted about the Orgulla battle in that pinned topic. It's a really long post, so I'm gonna link to it instead of copying it: clickie (look for post #41 on that page).

*Ok, I've just moved all those small topics into the main help topic here now.

Ive got a question. For some reason My Xenosaga III game wont record the time....I can save but the game's hours and minutes are set at 0...Just wondering if its a glitch or if its happened to anyone else. Any info appreciated.

Help, please!

On Episode III, Chapter 6 (if I'm not wrong), on Old Mitia from past, there's a boy atop a building that asks you to recover his baloon. How the heck do I do that?!?!?!
I can make the cat release the baloon, but I can't hold it!

Also, where can I find:

- Segment 8 Key.
- KOS-MOS' Swimsuit
- MOMO's Swimsuit
- Ziggy's Swimsuit

PS.
The bastard programmer that came with the idea of the 99 Sephirotic Canes (the rarest barter item in the game!) to get Ziggy's Final Weapon should BURN IN HELL!! pissed.gif

To get the balloon you place a trap to make the cat release it then it will float towards you if i remember corrently. About the other stuff, well, get a guide at gamefaqs man, just read what you need, you dont want to go and spoil the story.

Yeah, but I always miss it... thatsuck.gif

MOMO's is the easiest... go to the beginning of the mines on Old Miltia and play around with that crane until you hit the box and recive a goodie... Leave and enter again and break that box again... keep doing that until you get MOMO's swimsuit.

Ziggy's is done through *shiver* HaKox... KOS-MOS... hmm... I'm not sure

Just got Ziggy's. And My! My brain melted away!!
Iv'e done up to World 5-9. I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!! ohno.gif

That just sucks good thing i dont give a flying ##### about Ziggy or his swimsuit, but putting Jr.'s best weapon as an unlockable in that ridiculously annoying minigame was just not cool at all.

And now that I remember you get Kos Mos' swimsuit by completing the segment addresses and talking to one of the mechanics at the Elsa. The Segment address 3 Key you get from beating Erde Kaiser Sigma, a total super robot ##### for which i had to learn Best Ally to beat.

Thanks for the tips, but I was mistken, the key I miss is Key 8, not 3!
And actually, SIGMA was pretty easy for me. My strategy:

Erde Kaiser + Erde Kaiser Fury + Dark Erde Kaiser + Jr's Heaven's Door (1 EP cost)
I also used chaos' Angelic Gospel(?) Special, you know, Best Ally to all.

Anyway, thanks guys! ^_~

Thats some seriously corrupt game man, I think you should return it, i have never read anything about that in the game or in any game that was a correctly released copy.

I've searched the UMN simulators up and down, but still didn't found Segment 8 Key! Does anyone knows where is it? unsure.gif

BTW, there seem to be an (unactive) swicht/panel on Merkabah's core room (on foot, mo ES). But I think you need some special item...

Xenosaga 3

1. How to get extra boosts. You know where you enemy has 6 compaired to your 3 lame ones that only support the first two special attacks. How do you get extras of these so you have the ability to use lightning waltz or D-tenrias (sp)

2. The boss Zarathustra, I am dying like mad when I fight the final boss. Are there any ways to make the time of killing that ridiculous machine boss easier?

There's a very cheap way of killing it, is that good enough? =p Get your hands on Erde Kaiser Sigma and you can kill it in a couple of blows. But you'll need to get the 3 other Erde Kaisers first, to beat and get Erde Kaiser Sigma on that beach. One of them requires beating quite a hard boss, but it's an ES battle which makes things fairly easier (imo).

I've only finished this game once, so I don't remember the exact names and locations. But any decent guide can show those (try Gamefaqs).

There are special accessories that increase boos level, but I don't remember where to get most of them, sorry! tongue.gif
But I'm sure there is at least one on a segment address. And at least one boss drops it too.

Check around your accessories, you might already have. Look for abilyty "Boost+1" or "Boost+3"

2. The boss Zarathustra, I am dying like mad when I fight the final boss. Are there any ways to make the time of killing that ridiculous machine boss easier?

Well, there is a couple of thiongs you can do. But honestly, if you beated Kevin, you surely can beat Zarathustra. My basic tactics:
1) Have at least one battle character with Dragon Eyes or Tiger Eyes (to read enemy's weakness, that change).
2) Have at least one character (I suggest KOS-MOS or chaos) with a Boost+1 (or more) item.
3) Go hard with breaking atacks (it takes times, but you can break Zarathustra), when it's stuned (1 turn only), use your strongest special possible (but make sure it's not fromn an element Zarathustra is Nulling).
4) Use chaos'Heavenly Gospel or whatever. If you can't, make him cast Best Ally on each Battle character still at the beggining of the battle.
5) It helps if you have a character with Medica L All and/or 2 or more characters with Medica M All

You can also search for the characters Final Weapons:
Shion: go to the computer near the EVS plates on the Elsa, Myuki will talk to you. Then go to Floating Landmass and check the purple crystal fragments (first you broke) to find Rough GeoCrystal than talk to the Bunnie robot on the Girls'(?) Cabin on the Elsa to get Geocrystal. Talk with Myuki again.
Jin: I don't really remember the procedures. Talk to the robot on the Men's(?) Cabin on the Elsa (near the shower) and he'll tell you what he needs. He'll also forge you Prayer Beads (I'm not sure if that's the right name...), that if I'm not mistaken has Boost+3 ability.
chaos: Talk to the robot at the Bar of Elsa to get an item I forgot the name. Go to Abels Ark, use the item on each of the floating balls (same place you fough the bosses. There'll be a glowing spot at the center), after you did that on all 4, do it on the core (where you would enter it).
Jr.: Complete HaKox World 9 (Good Luck! You're gonna need it! rolleyes.gif )
MOMO: Talk to the robot on the Girls' Cabin (near the bathroom), than go to the Durandal (with Jr. leading?), go to the Park and "talk" to Albie (Jr.'s Dog) near the right benches. Talk again with the robot on the Elsa and he'll give you MOMO's final bow.
NOTE: he''l give you Hevens Door (Jr accessory that reduce EP cost to 1), but to equip it, you'll have to defeat OMEGA Id (AKA "WELTAL Id"!), the game's hardest ES battle (see below). Talk to the robot near the stairs on the Hangar.
Ziggy: Get 99 Sephirotic Canes (Barter items you get defeating the Angel type Gnosis, on that crystal labyrint on Michtam (the screen before Kevin)) and talk to the robot near the ES elevator on Elsa 1F.

Also on the hangar, talk to the macanics (don't remember wich one, they're 3 guys in orange clothes) after copleting the Data Base and the Segment Files for special items.

I belive it is actually Citrine who drops the key, and so Omega is actually available to fight from then on.

The best three characters for defeating Zarathustra in my oppinion are Chaos, KOS-MOS and Shion (Even though I used Shion and KOS-MOS the least throughout the game). Their Final weapons are easy to obtain which already gives them a clear advantage over Jr and Ziggy. MOMO may be good but with her low HP and defence I say stay away from her. Also there are times when only physical attacks do anything (Shion and Chaos have decent physical attack but their magic is VERY VERY useful...)

I can't remember the other reasons I chose these characters because it's been a while since I defeated Zarathustra...

Hahah it's really not that bad... especially if you sell off your barter items... but yep... that's KOS-MOS's final weapon... At least it's easily accessable.

I thought I was underlevelled because the Gnosis before the final bosses were giving me a hard time (I couldn't defeat them without using more MP than I would have liked to use) but it ends up that they are just difficult...

I found the final bosses quite easy (Though I havn't attempted the side bosses yet so there may be harder in the game) but I was really quite suprised. Zarathustra didn't cause me many problems (and I didn't have all the Sigma's) but the Red Testament I thought was harder than Zarathustra.

I was quite well levelled though because I went back to my ES craft and levelled up crazily quick (Only 5 or 6 enimies can be on the screen at a time so even if you use your level 2 anima on all the enemies there will still be a couple available unscathed meaning you can just escape. The EXP you get is just crazy...

Again...

I've searched the UMN simulators up and down, but still didn't found Segment 8 Key! Does anyone knows where is it?

BTW, there seem to be an (unactive) swicht/panel on Merkabah's core room (on foot, not ES). But I think you need some special item...
