Do you have problems making friends? Don't have time to sit around and wait to join a party? Prefer to play solo then to play with other people? Then Beastmaster is your cup of tea. To walk the road of being a loner is to walk the road of a Beastmaster. This is the only job in this game where you can solo andgain the same kind of decent exp points that you would get from being in a party with another job. While you may get the same kind of exp points when out soloing, your overall exp per hour is still slower than what you would normally get in a party. Since Beastmaster scream of a solo job, your invites to party is next to none. Evenwhen you put your looking for group flag out, people still aren't going to invite a Beastmaster unless it's the last resort due to the fact you can solo and gain exp on yourown while other jobs you can't. People would prefer to invite someone that need a group to exp as oppose to someone how can exp without a group. This isn't to saya Beastmaster would be good for a party. In fact Beastmaster are excellent in a party. They can be a puller or they can be great for situations where there is a mob linkage, a Beastmaster alone can charm a link mob and deal with it while your party handle the main mob. Add in the fact that Beastmaster can do some decent damage too. But in the end, 90% of the time you will be soloing.
The only best weapon of choice for a Beastmaster is axe where they have a rank A at handling axes.
Sub Job Combos
Bst/Whm: This sub job combo is the only choice for beastmasters that are out soloing. Since your pet will be doing most of the fighting and you steppingin only when it's time to finish off the mob that the pet has been fighting, you don't really need a boost in attributes from other sub jobs. However to cut down on yourown healing since there isn't a white mage around to heal you, subbing a white mage will allow you to cure yourself of low HP and status ailment problems.
Bst/War: In one of those rare occasions where you get invited to a party or actually join a party to gain experience, subbing a warrior job is the ideal choicefor such an occasion. The job trait such as double attack and job ability like berserk, you can quickly do some extra power damage to a mob. With provoke at hand, youcan also be an excellent back up provoker in situation that requires you to provoke.
Beastmaster Job Quest
Locatioin: Lower Jueno
Client: Dietmund
Reward: Able to be a Beastmaster
Requirements: A level 30 job on hand.
Items Needed: Night Flowers
Change to a level 30 job and head to the Merchant House in Lower Jueno right above the chocobo stable and talk to Dietmund.
