Who Final Fantasy character do you like the most, and why? That is the question.

There is none other than Cloud, if there had to be a main char in the ff-saga, Cloud would be the one. Of course there are other chars that are great, like Seph, or maybe Rikku from ffx/-2 (she was just so cute) But Cloud will always be my favorit

If I had to choose one, I'd probably go with Locke. He had the coolest personality, and really bolstered Terra and Celes's role in the game being the one who felt obligated to them and swore to help and protect them.

Locke was pretty cool, but overall I would go for Kuja/Kefka. Villians have always been awesome, and those two are who I view as evil, albeight cool. Vincent out of the list.

Definitely Butz from FFV........

I kid you, I really like Vincent. Something about him was just awesome, and he was really a good guy deep down, he was just tortured a wee bit to make him look evil. His Limit Breaks were cool, and overall he had one of the best backstories in the game.

Everyone rocks but I'll have to say Zell from FF8, Although I liked Cloud, Tifa, Squall, Tifa, Barrett, Tifa, Aries, Tifa, Rinoa, and Tifa also!!!

Well i'm such a mainstream person... i pick Cloud . He's just the one character i admire the most really, the chararcter you really see exposed like he was in the lifestream. Well i don't think i really have to explain... i just love him, the weapons, the looks, the personality (he's a puppet, WHATEVER, we all are!) and just the character on a whole. Although, there are some close comers :

Vincent - he's quite goth and soooo kewl, i love that dude lol

Sephiroth - Hate him, and everyone loves to hate. Also, very kewl, and a well portrayed character all in all, very deep... like me!

Other random ones... Red XIII (Nanaki) he is fk'in great, always in my party!

Oh, and btw, i think you should have posted this in the Final Fantasy I - IX forum, as you don't have any characters onwards from IX, so it cant really be classed as a SERIES discussion

This is not a hard one for you to guess. Sephiroth has made a huge impression on me which will never change. I know that there are conflicts in many threads between him and Jenova being the true power, but that I do not care about. I can't wait to see him in the new trailer and in the movie inself. I guess that I am a bit superficial about this as what draws me really close to him is his Masamune and the power that he displays - he also looks cool.

Squall has always been my favorite. His character is just cool. I liked him better at the beginning when he was a loner and was really cold hearted. He was cool like that.

Thats difficult i've got loads of favourites throughout the games but if I had to choose it would have to be Zell, he's just such an upbeat character in comparison to Squall, especially at the beggining that you just have to laugh. He was so hiliarious to watch but also a really strong character, he never leaves my party. I love Squall, Cloud, Sephiroth and Vincent as well though. Oh and Tifa's great she was always fun to play with. Its too difficult to choose!

Auron from FF X. He was so cool and his overdrives were awsome, and his past simply mind blowing.

i vote vincent, he is an all around badass with an attitude. hes mysterious and has his own friggin sequel, how much more justification do you need.

oh wait, he can transform into hideous monsters and strike fear into his foes...

Sephiroth.

He has the best appearance and a looong sword =) That's what I like about him

I got two of them, but I guessing I'm greedy when it comes to favorites.

Squall - Some people say that he sucks or something else, but for me... he's interesting to watching how his life goes. Plus got an unique sword to boot, also his character devolpment may flock off some, but I find it interesting.

Vincent - The only character from FF7 that actually interesting, besides the foul-mouthed Cid. Got an unique storyline that I wished that they focused more on, plus him interact with Sephiroth.

Let's See. My favorite charcter is Rikku. Reason why is because she's sort of free spirit. She doesn't let things that happen in life stop her from doing what she wants. Truthfully to me I kinda think that her and Tidus would of made a better couple then Tidus and Yuna, but that's just my opinion.

Laguna Loire. Such a complicated life, deep emotions for people, and I just think he was a great character..

Zell is a close 2nd for favorite, i love his design and his loyalty to friends, and his fierceness..

And Irvine is another, purely cause his attitude reminds me exactly of myself

Kain (FF2) - The Best Dragoon ever.

Shadow - Final Fantasy 3's Badass good guy that started it all.

My grand fav would be Kadaj, now I know he's from the movie and not the game, but it's a FF char non the less eh?

I also like sephiroth, but I prefer Kadaj for his kicka*s voice in the Jap version, go Kadaj!!!

for me probably auron.He is completely tough, serious, intelligent and a man of his word.He has given up a lot to do the right thing and is a powerhouse when he first joins your party.He doesn't waste words, never sugar coating and only speaking when necessary.

The thing I think that will make Auron one of the most incredible characters ever, will be his appearance into KH.. It seems like everybody here likes Auron so im making this post for this reason.

Like, I know before Kingdhom Hearts came out, a few people likd Cloud, and that he was okay from the game... But once his new character design came out and his new goal, and the Showdown of Fate... And now with Advent Chidlren coming out and Cloud's cool fighting scenes and character people RAVE about Cloud and love him to death.

So I personally think KH2 will revolutionize Auron like it did for CLoud.

I think Auron's character came across well enough in FFX - he's so cool! And I loved the twist near the end about him. Anyway, there are many characters that just rock, but my favourite is Yuna. She's not boring, she was very pressured, and it was such a show of strength that she never lost determination. Also could not forget the brilliant FMV of her sending dance in a hurry.

there is alot of good final fantasy characters out there....t had a tough desision the characters i like the most being between cloud,auron,sephy, and vincent...cloud, being a victim of his past, thought of mostly no one but himself...auron,being the legend he was, had extreme power in that giant sword of his *steals auron's katana* ...sephy, the demonic possessed person he is, and his badass outfit and the all too powerful masamune...heh heh...and vincent, my vampiric brother from another mother the clothes,the gun,the attitude,and the background...if you sumed all those characters in to one who knows what it would look like but i bet it would be hella kool...

Yep I think I might have forgotten Vincent.. I love that guy... his history and background and Lucrecia thing, and the possibility of being Seph's father, and his experimentation, and becoming a demon.. All that stuff And with his Advent Children appearances, and his very own game, I'm hypin him up.

favourite...hmm I think Squall, he was a whiner, but he changed drastically at a certain point, and from that point I really liked him. A major change in personality, it was awesome.

Laguna being one of my favs aswell, he was just to funny, he made me laugh anytime I had to play as him again, damn you Laguna, stop being so funny XD

Vincent, what else to say, awesome character, great background, and he was just a good character and always in my team whenever I was able to do so.

Garnet, cute character, looked pretty imo, was interesting untill the very end, had a rough background and was just cute =P

Zidane, the only hero on the psx with a personality "why do you need a reason to help people?" Yeah, I liked him a lot, he was a real player, but fell for Garnet the first time he saw her. Yeah, a funny couple and I liked them.

Rinoa, well, she was fun, good looking and a cool character. Always trying to seduce Squall but never succeeded. Just when she was in trouble Squall had this major switch and the story became really interesting after that, come on the Ragnarok part was amazing.

Does no one have any love for Vivi!?! I mean he's only a little kid yet has so much power and has a sad but good story, what with all the other blackmages. Plus the cinimatic where all the black mages were falling off the airship and we gets pissed and uses some awsome magic aganst the evil blackmage in the tunnel, well that was simply badass. I LOVE YOU VIVI!

Okay..... First of all Vincent realy didnt' have a backstory.. That is why he is going to be the main charecter in the FF seriouse.. (Something Cebruse) I forgot the name of the whole thing. But overall Sephiroth is the bast charecter in the game.. I don't care what anybody try to tell me. I would choose Vincent to be my secound. Just because he is so mysteriouse...

Its so hard to choose between cloud an auron . they both r just bad arses who pretend not to care about anything, but u know deep down that they are really protective of their friends. Which i think is pretty cool. But if I had to pick one it would have to be auron, because of his overdrives, there just awsome.

Well my top favorite would have to be Cloud. In alll the games he was in, FF7 and KH, and don't forget about FFAC, he is just so cute. His sword and how he dresses is also so cool, and of course his omnislash is just amazing....Cloud is just so awsome!

Sephiroth is definitely the #1 on my list. He's a handsome psyco with a mysterious past. Hes a powerful demonic dude with an awesome masamune. Its amazing how he can manipulate ppl with his mind while his body is fozen and how he could've killed Aeris while he had no physical body. I guess its's all just a mystery... Anyways the personality is how he can be so evil and psycotic and still keep him cool at the sam time.

Well of course i liked yuna......she was pretty and eventually hooked up with tidus. i liked the whole summoner thing too. she was really nice and couldnt walk away when people neede her help. that is sorda like my friends so and i could really relate to her.

i like garnet too.....cuz she had the whole queen thing going right? i think she was like the only character who changed her appearence like three times in one game.

i also liked squall cuz he was hot!!!

alot of people would say cloud and its true he was a great character. but i gotta go with sephiroth, the one winged angel, hes the only villan to have his name in the song, hes that cool. more favs,tifa,auron,lulu,wakka,cid,vincent,aries,jesse,biggs,and wedge, the turks and rufus were too cool

Auron is my no 1, there is also Squall, Cloud and Sephiroth but Auron is the best. He's Katanas and overdrives kick ass out of the enemies.

Psycho, yes, but handsome? Sephiroth? I don't think many people will agree with me, but I don't think so...

I have two favorite characters!!! I like Rinoa and Areis!!! I got really mad when Areis got killed, there for i had a reason to kick Sephiroth's butt!!! (i know his name is spelled wrong) But anyway back to the real subject! I like Rinoa because she is spiffy, and doesn't know how to take no for an answer. And i like Areis because she was a real big help in battle, but i still miss her and i loved her theme!

A lot of people's favorites seem to be based purely on appearance, and the graphical greatness of their moves. If I had to decide purely by appearance, it would be Auron hands down. But my favorite has to be based on the whole character.
Therefore, my favorite is Cyan. Of all the characters I've seen, he's the only one who's had everything he's cared for destroyed - his wife, child, kingdom, all of it. And he still managed to summon up the strength to go on. He went through the whole range of emotions, from denial, to rage, depression, grief, hope, despair, and finally stoic determination. Later, in the world of ruin, he managed to move on and begin to love again, and because of this, he rejoined the rebanding heroes, to save that love. Most people would've given up once their rage ran out, but Cyan continued through to the end.

Second would be Auron and Shadow. Auron had the strength of will to continue on as himself after he first died instead of becoming a monster, and Shadow was the assassin who killed all emotion so he could become the best, caring only for his dog, Interceptor. He made his choice, and he lived with it without regret. I also liked how his back story could only be seen through dreams when you rested at inns.

One of my favorite characters would have to be Aeris. She was very mature and self-giving, even though it didn't seem like it at times. She kept a lot of things to herself, and knew many things. She's one of my idols. ( No, i'm not obsessed.)

Vincent Valentine • I Love Vincent I know this really isn't a good enough reason but I do. I liked his overall personality (well what little was left before Hojo scr*wed him over) and his character design. He had the spiffiest red clothes ever that managed to look both gothic yet sophisticated without seeming tacky. He used a gun which I admit was not very original but it suited his calm collected persona and have I mentioned that he is super cute? No? Well allow me to do him justice: HE'S SO *&^?%£! HOT!

Tifa Lockheart • Same thing goes for Tifa really. She just appealed to me, she was a combination of feminin qualities and masculine fighting spirit which is rare to find in most gaming heroines who seem to be stupid bimbos that always end up dragging the poor heroes a** deeper into alligators. Most people think she's a skank but I disagree, she had all her privates covered up whereas Yuffie and Aeris liked to leave buttons off around the crotch area. Though the skirt was short and the top was tight they still covered everything! Not alot to say: I just like her.

Not Squall, his character just got annoying, how "cool" he was supposed to be becauase he didn't talk, he came off as sort of a freak, and when he changed he was just corny. I'd say Cloud because of the clever plot around he psychosis, but he's sort of over loved by fans and I don't want to fall into the very large group. (But he is tied with...)Laguna. He's realistic. Yeah, he's is more cheery than any person would really be but not the the point of Tidus, he deals with things in a very real human way, and is not dark and quite just to be cool, like vincent, auron and squall. So Laguna wins for me.

My favourite would be Vincent Valentine. I liked the whole quiteness of his character, his sadness and such. Sure he looks cool, but it's his personality that makes me name him as my favourite. Apperance wise, Kimahri was cool, especially as Griever from FF8 looked very similar. Female, probably Aeris.

I liked Locke´s attitude. Carefree and positive. Auron is also one of my favourites, with his bottle of saké and all.

I actually had to think about this a little. My first thought was Sephiroth, in my opinion he was the coolest character in every way to me, attitude, look, everything. But I could never say he was my favorite because he wasn't a memeber of the main party. Squall was also one of my favorites just because of his personallity. My overall favorites would be between Sabin (I believe was how it was spelled. I always changed it to Blitz.) from FF3/6, and Cloud from FF7. Cloud was almost as cool as Sephiroth to me (great villian makes for a great hero sometimes). I just loved doing the Blitz attacks. They made the game more fun to me. That's about all I have to say on the subject.

Kuja- there was something about him. An angellic je ne sais quoi. He was twisted and insane. But he was just a dramatic charicter. Very angsty, which can be relaitable. And He kinda looked cool, aside from the THONG lol. And he killed an entire planet (tera) did Sephiroth get to do that? No. (Don't get me wrong, Sephiroth would come in a close second).

Female;

Lulu- I liked her Dark gothic look. And I liked her attitude, she can be comforting at time but when she wants to be she can be a huge b!tch. She was teh shirt when it came to maggic. And her whole outfit was awesome, a belt dress never seen that before. Wouldnt that get sweltering on the island of besaid? And who could forget her best asset...




Her eyes. Red eyes rock. lol. (Don't tell em you were thinking of another thing???)
Edea would come in second. She was crazy when she was possesed. Just her charicter was intriging. But why Cid!!!!! What did she see in him. And she was a Matron figure... Milf anyone?

Yuffie because

She is young and hyper active. She is the strongest female in FF7(my opinion) She uses a cool weapon. But most of all because i have a lot in common with her. No asking what I have in common with her.

And Red XIII is the best male character because he's red and a cool fighter. He have powerfull limit breaks and other stuff too.

nah my fav is obviously vincent, he says so much with so few words and I think thats a great skill.

Hmm.....oh yes! Setzer from FFVI. He owned an airship, gambles, and uses dice for battles. Although he wasn't as strong at first, he still kicked ass and he's most likely the cooloest character for me. Funny how he infiltrated an opera just to kidnap the singer.

Kuja. He looks like a fruit, but he can destroy planets when angered, laugh at the suffering of thousands, is very in-depth and understandable, providing a level of empathy in the end. He is, in short, awesome all-around.
