Okay, I'm currently replaying VII and I wanna know what is your favourite moment from VII...

Mine is by far that play you have to do in Gold Saucer, I mean it's totally hilarious!!! Such a bad play, it made me laugh over and over again. Then you get to ride that coaster thingy, which is hilarious if you're on a date with barret, he thinks you're hitting on Marlene XDDDD
Or when Yuffie kisses you and Cloud thinks..whut?? And then Yuffie says "pls say something" and he replies with "something" and gets slapped XD...funny indeed tongue.gif

(SPOILERS ahead)
Oh, that's an easy one: the final showdown with Hojo, including the scenes leading up to it. Such a dramatic music while you're running up all those stairs to stop Hojo in time from firing the cannon, Vincent standing there in overly dramatic fashion screaming "Hojo!" (if he's not in your party), and then, when you finally reach him, the shocking revelation: "What will Sephiroth think when he finds out I'm his father... HA, HA!!!". And then the fact that he actually injected himself with Jenova's cells because of his scientific curiousity. And then... the battle! I've never lost to Sephiroth, but I lose often to Hojo (his 3rd form and his darn combo attacks!). And of course, Jenova's theme playing helps too.

That whole scene is perfection for me. I had this odd feeling as if the game was over after defeating him. I consider dealing with Sephiroth a small aftermath of the story. For me, the climax in the game was reached with Hojo's showdown. I guess it helps that he's my favorite villain in the game, he's really the type that I love to hate in stories smile.gif .
RPGplaya
Though my favorite character is RedXIII, my favorite part in the whole game is on the second disc when Rocket Town's Rocket is blasted into the sky and Cid makes you take him along. I thought Cid was just an angry, cussing old man who hated his wife just because she wanted to make sure it was safe. But after he gave that speech and about Space and Science and stuff, I understood why he felt that way. And his dream had come true the minute the rocket launched into space. smile.gif
Evilbob
I like when you first get Vincent, but I can't help but smile when the party first meets Cid and he yells at them to "Sit down and drink your @#$! tea!"

My best moment was when I got to fight Seraph Sephiroth. I could not believe that I was about to do it. The music was so epic and the the moving background of the fight was breath taking. When he finally used Super Nova, I was speechless. I did not see it coming. Luckily one of my characters was left alive and I revived everyone to finish the job. Totally was the coolest fight ever.
Soul Reaver
The end credits....It meant that I had finished the game and had wasted too much time from my life.

Owning Weapons of course. The best sensation I've ever had. Years ago though. =p

The Weapons awakening and attacking was definitely mine.. loved em
SonicX_Zero
When I got my first Gold Chocobo and head towards that island with KOTR. ^^ Yeah and after that I went out and did some random battle and just kept on casting it every beginning of the battle. I did this for like 15 battles and got bored and resumed with the game. ^^;;
JD-san
I gotta say the death of Aeris. No one saw it coming, and it just worked in great. Full of surprise, and leaving a lot of emotion and thoughts to follow through-out the story. At that point, that was probably one of the deepest moments I had experienced in gaming. And easily one of the defining moments that shaped that game's story into what it was.
Ragnarok
I really had fun at the Gold Saucer. Getting a bunch of tickets and stuff while playign some fun games. Like the basketball game, the bike chase, Mog's world,(always fed him too many damn kupo nuts) and that fighter game. Fighting in the battle arena too. Getting Omnislash was a must, a relief when I got it too. Chocobo racing was always fun with friends around to bet on them like you would on a horse race.

When the weapons were released

Really loved this moment. I was so sucked into the game at the time that I felt like I was "there", as if the wind was blowing in my face from the force coming from the crater.

The Sapphire(theory) Weapon blowing a hole into Junon.

It would have been so EXTRA cool if you got to fight him RIGHT there. Anybody thinks he blew that hole in the room where Tifa was, just to kill HER and not blow away Junon?

The slap fight.

I've lost this once and only once, every other time I would murder Scarlet. She can't believe it when you get so good where she doesn't slap you at all. Very nice for Square to add this in, I was tired of Scarlet slapping Tifa too. happy.gif

Diamond Weapon using the Diamond Flash on the Sister Ray.

Probably the saddest part for me. RUFUS's DEATH WAS SO MUCH BETTER THAN AERIS's.
Athrun
The first time I did Omnislash after winning it in the battle arena was a great experience. I love the critical hit sounds it makes.

But the end of the game was one of the biggest highlights for me.
Approaching the sinister Jenova in the core of the crater for the final confrontation, while the music, J-E-N-O-V-A is playing, and the lifestream is gushing all around the place.

Another time was when Cloud tells you of his past, and you get to see Sephitoth torch down the town Nibelheim.

First time you get to controll Highwind was awesome. I love the theme playing while on the world map and inside of Highwind.

And also when we get locked up in the Shinra prison, and Cloud awakens to absolute silence, no music, no movement. Only a big blood trail leading to the top floor.
That was a realy intense moment.

It was the same for me. The fact that I grew to know and care about these characters and their way of life made it much worse.

That truly was an intense moment. One of the reasons that made Sephiroth so great in my mind.

The scenerio at Wutai. Yuffie was the only character I was really into, and I actually laughed when she kept tricking my party and stole my materia.

I know. I'm crazy. But I liked that part. =P

That part drove me crazy. I have not activated it yet on my current game but I do have Yuffie in my group - have not used her to fight. I remember her paps being really strong so I have to level up before I go there.

The fight with Sephiroth part II. Best boss ever! Who actually did the character switch anyway?
Bomb
I like when you're about to go into the Northern Crater, and the party is all there, and Cloud asks everyone to go home for a while cause they might not be coming back, or whatever.

I don't remember the word-for-word Dialogue, but I think it went something like:
Cloud: "Guys, what's most important now is keeping it real. Who here is keeping it real? Am I the only one?"
Various cast members: "No, Cloud. We all be keeping it real."

I'm pretty sure that's how it went.

When I first fought him all those years ago, I did. It was such a waste of time as my weaker party was the next team and all of Bizarro Sephiroth's health was back, if I remember correctly. The music made that fight epic. I have noticed that the music in the last couple of fights was the best in the whole game. It got me pumped and ready for battle.

When the Weapons awaken, because from that point things SPIRAL... Like Rufus and the explosion and Barret and Tifa being executed, and then escaping to the airship, and then falling into the Lifestream and the whole plot twisting part... Makes me wanna go play the game RIGHT NOW
Blue_Moomba
When Cloud regains his memory. It's so sad. My friend and i can both relate to his past in some ways. Like the way he would always try to get Tifa's attention, but failed most of the time. And when Tifa's mom died, so Tifa wanted to go be with her mom. Cloud goes with Tifa, and when Tifa got hurt...everyone blamed Cloud.
Rawrg! It makes me so mad! mad.gif

There are lots of favorite/best/sad/memorable moments. But alas, i can only choose one.

When Sephiroth goes crazy and decides it'd be fun to kill everyone in Nibelheim. Apart from Aeris getting killed, that's the moment that stands out in FFVII. The whole story of FFVII is pretty much built around that time in Nibelheim, where Zack heroicly tried to kill Sephiroth, getting himself beat up pretty bad. Where Cloud manged to throw Sephiroth to what he thought would be his death, nearly killing himself doing so.

On another note, FFVII: Last Order is basically an episode based around the events in Nibelheim. It's Pretty good, especially for just an Advent Children extra. You guys should look it up. smile.gif
LagunaWannabe
The only thing about ur scene is that its so early in the game. If the climax was in the beginning then the rest of the game would be boring. I think the Seph part was amazingly cool and its one of my favorites, but not THE most intense part of the game.
Bahamut Hear Me
When Cloud finds out he's a clone of Sephiroth.I also like the part where Sephiroth kills Aeris.
Vex Core
I liked it a lot when Rufus appeared. He was all so casual and calm with them when he met them. Even in the battle scene, he just stood there, firing a sawed off shotgun with one hand. XD Bad ass right there.
Mushroom
I'm supriused no-one has said this, probably because alot of people have focused on scenes that has real emotion, or intensity, but the most Jaw-dropping moment of FF7 for me, and the part that just left me in awe was the Team's escape from the Shinra building, with Cloud on the motor-bike. Maybe quite early in the game, and no real depth to it, but that scene, imo, was the coolest moment in the game, and the one that instantly stands out in my mind. I suppose the fact this, and the next part marked the end of the game's first real setting, Midgar, and amrked their move into the world, also makes a big difference. Just rockin.
Soon
Yeah the Motor Bike scene was class... cool.gif

But my favourite bit of the game is probably either the Gold Saucer date (gotta love that haha.gif ) or the short period on disc two when you finally get a break from Cloud and control Tifa. YAY! smile.gif
Lord Clutter Monkey
My favourite part has to be when the weapons are all coming out of north crator and from then till when you find cloud again it is just so grat in my mind i love that section it has such great emotion and surprise i would replay the game just for that.

Definately equipping shitloads of Counterattack materia linked with Added Slash or whatever the hell I did back then, so that whenever your character got hit, he did an insane ammount of counterattacks. I think perhaps I had 3 characters with 9 Counterattack Materia each, rest HP materia, when fighting one of the Weapon (Ruby perhaps...?). That was well fun tongue.gif .

Best moment for me, storywise... dunno... several things. Probably the Nibelheim flashback segments. Yeah, definately.

ahaha, yea , the ruby weapon technique. I read that in a games magasine, the thing actually gave instructions to let one guy be killed, then put Eastenders on for half an hour, and the Ruby weapon would be dead by the time you can back. Thats what made putting the effort in really worth it for FF7, it actually paid off really well. I remember fighting the first stage of the final boss, I got a premptive magic strike and automatically knocked his arms off with comet2. Gotta love those set-ups.
Slai
Emerald Weapon, btw, my bad tongue.gif . Just played through the game again smile.gif .

The shabby bit has got to be that you walk around with insane gear, lvl70 just because of all the AP farming youve done to get all those Countermateria mastered and HP materia mastered, so you kill the 1,000,000 HP Weapons, you get the Gold Chocobo and run around like a madman, etcetera. Then you get to the end boss, and he has like 72000hp...

Seriously, one W-summon of Knights of the Round from my main man Vincent, 9 Counters from Cloud, and Barret just sort of threw a shot in once in between, and that was basically it. Bit of a shame :| . I should perhaps level Cloud to 99 just to get the more difficult version of the endboss.

Then again, I didnt go past the Chocobo farm until i had gotten Beta and slain the Midgar Zolom. I think I was lvl25 at the time I moved on, had most spell-ranks at 2 (Fire2 etc), with Limit Breaks at rank3 lvl2 :/ . Overleveling pays off bigtime tongue.gif .

Heh couldn't resist this one.

There are so damn many in this game, but it would have to be when Cloud is on his path to discovery in the lifestream with Tifa. When I found that Cloud wasn't who I thought he was earlier in the game, it shocked and confused me. So playing through this scene really meant a lot for me, I just felt like... eh I dunno like the game had reached one of it's best turning points. Cloud was back. The bond between him and Tifa was more prominent. It was nice smile.gif
Pesmerga
The moment I could take out disc 3, god I was pleased that game was finished and I could move on with better games.
Nash
The moment they announced FFVII compilation. I know these FF sequels would be a blast to play through.
Voyou San
when u was driving in the truck... PIMP
YourSweet666
Well, I scene I love is the ending of the battle between Palmer in Rocket Town, where he tries to run for it and BAM! gets collected by a truck.

I don't know if it's my all time favourite moment, but I love it none-the-less.

Slaying all the wepons with only cloud repededly using omnislash!!!! I acually fought all the wepons with just cloud and won(after countless murders of course) and i some how always managed to end the battle with omnislash. luck or fate who knows.....

And oh yea, when i fought chocobo wepon for the first time. that was fun to.

For me it had to be the intro. This was the most hyped about RPG ever. The commercials were full CG and were simply mind boggling. I had bought the game and didn't even own a PSX at the time (still have the pre-order T-Shirt somewhere). I was able to borrow the system from someone and just seeing that intro was amazing. The beautiful CG , the pan into the train, and then being thrust into the first battle was just awesome. It really had an intense intro and the most amazing graphics of it's time. I'm not too fond of the game after you leave Midgar, but man FF7 has one of the best beginnings of any game I've ever played.

I somewhat agree with this. I was quite pleased with the start of the game in such an awesome giant science-fiction city. But when I saw the world outside of Midgar for the first time, I was like: "Rats! Plain ordinary landscapes like in just about any game. Pfft!" xD

A bit further into the game I quickly got used to it, though.

Agreed, except I loved this game from start to finish many times over and there's so many great scenes in this game I'd be here all day but the introduction stands out to me the most it was fantastic it just instantly gave me the feeling of epic. Midgar very much reminded me of one of my favourite films Blade Runner so that helped. I also loved how they seamlessly integrated some of the CG with the pre-rendered back drops, It was my first RPG and still my favourite RPG after all these years smile.gif

Glad people are showing their respect for this game, instead of doing the recent bashing it has been receiving lately, because we all know how much we enjoyed this game when it first came out.

For me one of the most memorable scenes oddly enough is when Barrett tells Tifa to "run, run to the airship" and she jumps off and grabs onto the rope. You had just left the Crater after all the chaos there, and when the Weapon attacks and Tifa escapes with the triumphant music just always stuck out to me.

God the little things you can do in FF7 are great

the battle area at gold saucer, mainly because I got omnislash, and used it about 3-4 times in there, I felt pro. Other than that, I forget the name of the things you would use, but there was something that was at the bottom of the hill and they would have to try to get up to where you are, near that big Phoenix.
Phisix
I like the bit when your escape from the Shinra HQ. Had some good moments and fighting Rufus and escaping on the motorbike.

Um, that was Jenova who killed her as Sephiroth was encased in ice until disk II.

It was named "Fort Condor."

Yeah and at that time, that was the only time in the game that you also battle him.

My most favorite moment would definitely would be the aall of the beginning part of the game in Midgar, as living in a tech city is rather nice, but was overuned by a power hungry president.
