I say 4, 5 was ok but it didnt seem as fun to me as number 4 did. What do you think?

Breath of Fire 4's battle was great because of the switching charater ability you had during battles. Really useful when someone died and at the end of the battle, everyone gets experiance so you don't have to use a character you hate at all and they'll still be the same level as the favored characters. Even though most games are getting to the 'everyone gets exp.' stage, this one was the first that I encountered. (I think)

yeah i agree i love 4 even though i only played 4 and 5 i want to play 3 i herd it was good so im tyring to get my hands on a copy of it but its hard to get.

Three is probably my favorite out of the series of Breath of Fire. The dragon gene mixing is very advanced and you can make so many different kinds of dragons (some ugly some awesome some huge some small) I've spent so many hours into that game..

You can probably order the game off somewhere like ebgames.com, I saw it there a few days ago up for sale (pretty cheap too) I'm trying to get Xenogears (no luck so far *tear*) But keep looking and you'll find it.

That's a tough call; I really had a blast with both, and I think these are the 2 best battles systems in the series. I'll have to think abou it and vote later. Maybe I'll play a bit of them to remind myself....

I have xenogears its a great game i suggest a local store like gamestop or something like that maybe check gamerush at blockbuster. My other problem is IM always broke!

Breath of Fire 5. =P I loved it. =D I did like 4's as well. But five had something too it. It wasn NEVER boring and you could always try something new. =P I'm hoping Capcom will bring this game. I thought it was an amazing battle system which took a lot of time to deal with. =D

I found both of them to be great, but if I had to choose one, then I will have to go with 5. I just love the strategy you can pull off in it. Four was not bad either but it was too linear. Although it would be much better if there were more characters in 5 to move around.
