July 1, 2005 - Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana has shipped out for its North American release. Atelier Iris is the first title from the very popular Atelier series in Japan, developed by Gust Co. LTD, to be released in the US.

Atelier Iris is a strategy RPG like none other currently on the PlayStation®2. In
Atelier Iris, players create their own items and weapons, each with unique powers,
appearances, and abilities. Players take the role of a young alchemist named Klein
Kiesling, who must travel the world of Regallzine to unlock the hidden secrets of alchemy.

That's because Ateliar Iris is an traditional RPG, if you want to get into details, it's a Turn-Based RPG. It's not a strategy RPG, so that article is a bit wrong. If this was a strategy RPG, then you would see people compare it to other strategy RPG released by NIS, of course, you don't. Also, Ateliar Iris is a very long series going on Japan, from what I recall, none of the previous games were strategy based.

This game is pretty good. It is turn based, but it requries more 'strategy' than your average "push Attack, watch fight" RPG.

I actually one time almost fell asleep when i was playing,no offence to the game it is great, but it needs some more action in battles

The game is good smile.gif.....but the boss fights are pretty hard, i mean later in the game !!! The only thing that i don't like is that others in your party cant't use items that Klein create with alchemy..sad.gif

A friend of mine bought the game and brought it over to my place one day and played it for a while and accidentaly left it here. So i was bored the next day and decided to give it a shot. Gotta say i love it. its lots of fun making items and finding new ones and just playing through the game in general. Though i also wish others could use the items klein makes, i might just be underleveled but he dies too quick for my liking. So anyway hes not getting it back for a while.
