Well when you see ryu he for the most part always has the same look through out the series, You know Blue hair pale skin and uhh......... well thats pretty much the basis of it heh..... The only thing thats ever been diffrent about him in the series is his clothes. So I don't know.... what would you like to see on him? Maybe a change a hair color? A change of height? Or even a change of skin tone LOL! Maybe instead of changing into a dragon he is always in the same form. Kinda of like the form from Bof 4 or the warrior form from 3, but he dosen't really look diffrent from his human from that you always see, he just has some wings and a tail....... and he hides them under a trenchoat....... heh...... I don't know. Well what do you think?

I think a trailer for Breath of Fire would be odd if Ryu was wearing a trench coat and look like a crack dealer.

But I would like him to change. The blue hair is nice, but I would like to see a dragon form that actually looks like a dragon. Dragons are not twice as big as a human. They are monstrous, some as big as towns. I would hope some of that would be captured in the next Breath of Fire game.

His character model is okay, but the child needs some personality and life.

I totally agreed with what Evilbob said. His character models are ok(I like the hairstyle with a mini-ponytail type though) Dragon forms should look awesome too, in BoFIV Ryu's dragon mode look kinda weird but when you use the Dragon Moves where the Dragon comes out to do its special attack, now that's the dragon we are looking for. Moreover, Ryu really needs more life/personality, he can't be quiet/speechless(well, almost there) forever X_x

I had a design for him. Red eyes. Red hair. It'd fit him well don't you think?
The whole same hair and eye color doesn't really bug me. But to some others yes. They'd like something different. So Capcom should at least often that to the table.

As for stye and looks? I loved the BoF2 design. Sword on his back and everything. He looked so damn cool. I want something like that to come back in future BoF's titles.

I don't know...blue hair always seems be a signature of the Brood, or the Light Dragons, if you will. I'd keep the character mostly the same, but actually give him a little more mature look, I think. Give him some "disabilities" which clear up when he uses his dragon powers, like near-sightedness. Any Ryu I've ever thought up has had something like glasses.

Retractable wings also work in making the character different.

Even better. Let's have Ryu actually TALK! The fact that Ryu actually had a few lines sprinkled in among the dialogue in Breath of Fire 1 surprised me.

Make ryu a black prostatute with an afro... now THAT is a new look.

Instead of dragons, we can make Ryu turn into a big bird, and he could have big white wings.. and let's have Nina lose hers, because she'd be cramping Ryu's style... Or if that doesn't work, we can have Ryu turn into a giant Fish or Frog so that the group can travel on the world map more easily.
