In both FFX and X-2 you can ride both an airship and chocobo, lets say this was acutally real. Would you use an airship to get around or chocobo? Here are some reasons for why you should choose the airship: Faster than a chocobo, has weapons incase any unexpected fiends pop up, and it's big so you can run around with your friends. The chocobo is definitely my choice and exactly for the reasons you said: it's cute, it's more enjoyable to ride on and it's friendly.

Heh, that's easy: the chocobo. I'm scared of heights, and that includes flying airplanes ("airships" ^^ ). But it would have to be a tamed and loyal one, not one of those unpredictable, stubborn chocobo beasties. Then I'd rather walk .

Hehe, I agree with you all, a chocobo is definitely more reliable than a airship. An airship needs attention with the engine(s) and such, but a chocobo, you just gotta be a good friend to it, if chocobos were real, I would train it to be like one of the chocobos from the crusaders, but only for unexpected circumstances, not like to help fight nazis in a war or anything.

Choco and as a matter of fact, he outruns enemies, cause you never got in a fight when running on one of these

Anyhoo's to be really honest, I prefer walking. It get's me pumped up knowing I can kick the fiends butt whenever an unexpected battle comes up. Training is good when you're in big open areas and there's alot of walking. o.<

But if I had to choose, it would have to be the chocobo, it was more free lanced I guess than on the airship. plus travelling around was to me a lot easier with the chocobo, you can enter little places that were around and about than just being dropped off by an airship. =/

I guess he/she means the one on Final Fantasy 7. They had those things. =x

Anyhow, I like the Chocobo's, but I prefer the ships more. They move a bit more faster for me. But walking like Winnie said is always cool. you can explore, and you'll be fighting in battles pretty much all that time. =P Haha. It passes time, but that is about it. Wanna move fast? Get an Airship. =)

Oh well, I've always thought one of the highlights of the games is when you get the airship and can go anywhere you want. The upside with the airship is that it's big enough to hold all of your friends, and you can run around and talk to them and such.
Yuna and the other girls room on the ship in FFX-2 for example was a place I liked to visit some times.
Chocobos are fun to ride, but I prefer having an airship. =p

I go with the chocobo because it's a big chicken, and chickens rock. Besides airships are to big anyway .

That is a first. I have never thought of it before. My preferred choice is the Airship. I am not such a huge fan of Chocobos but that will change once I start breeding them in Final Fantasy VII, have not gotten to that part yet - about to start disk 2. I am one who is into technology and astronomy so I prefer airship over chocobo.

Anyway, as Hiku said, getting my ship and exploring maps was one of the highlighted moments for me, but since thos question was like: what if in real life...

I'd still go for Chocobos, they just rule and although they can't get everywhere, except for the Golden Chocobos, I rather ride this fluffy, cute, yellow ostrich wannabe then.

airship for me. it's quicker, and you can explore more of the world map easier with it.

In terms of travel, I would choose an airship, but in terms of an adventure, a chocobo would be better, feeling the air breeze etc, danger lurking about, that's what makes it fun lol The only event which I do not want to meet would be like FFVII where you have to run past the swamp with those big snakes lurking about X_X

That is the best as you are getting the best of both worlds, well at least that is how I feel about it. I got to fly in the Highwind over the weekend seeing as I finally got to play Disk 2. I just finished saving Corel and am headed for Fort Condor. I hope to start the Chocobo breeding thing soon and really get into it.

Chocobo all the way! No matter what. Plus the air ship and gullwing look really wierd.

I would probably rather take an airship. Mostly because I would fear hurting my member riding those chocobo's. A Chocobo would be a cool pet though. But a much smoother ride with an airship.

Airship, ive always been one to get where im going as fast as I can. Chocobo's are fast dont get me wrong, but they cant cut so much ground completly free as the airships can. And the airship music owns.

I'm an airship kinda person, I like the mobility and the no-battles. If I wanted a cute Chocobo, then I'd tape a picture of a chocobo to the front of my Television screen, but when i wanna get somewhere I want an airship. lol

Now that i think of it.......dont those chocoboes have that meteor attack? Airships maybe able to drop bombs, but id rather drop meteors! Although that airship can get to some places that a chocobo cant. i'm so torn!!!!

I'd pick the chocobo. I'm an animal lover, and if chocobo's were real I'd rather have a pet choco to raise and ride around on.

I'd use airships still sometimes depending on the distance, but I'd still prefer using my trusty yellow turkey whenever possible. =)

I would try both. Chocobos are cute, and on the ground. But the airship is large, and looks amazing. Not to mention more cofortable.

That put a smile on my face. Most of the time in a Final Fantasy game, I am walking around anyway, the ship and chocobo come later. With the new combat system in Final Fantasy XII, the pedestrian life will be much different.
