Alrighty, pretty simple topic. And though this topic may be less serious than most, try not to get spammy or anything. >.o

Anyway. I'm not sure if the FF series was exactly the greatest with it's humor through the series, but I'm sure there were times you all got a good laugh in these games. =p So, what were some things in the series that made you laugh most? Basically, what were Final Fantasy's funniest moments to you guys?

I'll follow up with some of my own in a bit.

Whenever Barret got mad lol. I just laughed and laughed at his arrogance ^^. That's probably the only thing I can remember, becuase as you said , so yea that's all I can say.

FFVII has one scene that I really love: the Tifa-Scarlet-slapfight ^^ :

And in FFVIII, Selphie usually brightens me up too:


She's one of the few "energetic" characters I really like ^^ .

the ending of ff9, zaidian doing the matrix and, you know. dont wanna give spoilers, but it actually made me laugh. him and quina, quina was always funny in all his scenes.

in FF8 - when Zell wanted hotdogs, but he never managed to get 'em
and Selphie was funny too. I liked how she appeared in the beginning of the game - fell down and smiled. cute =)

When Cid keeps swearing at Shery, telling her to bring them their %%##& tea. lol

Squall not extending his hand to Zell, but instead taking another sip from his drink when Zell wanted to shake his hand during the ball.

When Necron showed up in FF9. That was so random, it was almost priceless.

When I saw how Tidus and Yuna's English voice actors handled their "laughing scene."


Oh yeah, I forgot about that. lol
Didn't Raijin and Fujin manage to get them? Or something like that.

That reminds me of ff4. You had the choice of waking up yun, or whatever his name was by getting his mom to come slap him with a fying pan.

also ff6, when edger and locke first see terra use magic. This was a real treat because it happen in battle.

Oh, and that just reminds me of FFVI ^^ . The final scene with Kefka:


Finally: a game that openly admits how mushy and cliché the heros can act sometimes. And it makes the scene so much more fun, boo to the mushy clichés ^^ .

Okay, I have a more recent memory.

In FFX, there is a scene with all the gaurdians waiting for Yuna to finish her business in the Djose temple. Bartello approaches Auron and asks if he can shake hands. Afterwards, Bartello promises he won't ever wash his hand again.

It's funnier when you hear the way he says it.

Some of the funniest moments happened in FF7 like for example: In disc one, when Cloud had to dress up as a lady to get into the honey bee inn. And then, he's in this room where they wouldn't let him out and he pulls off his wig and dress and everyone sees they've been flirting with another man!

hehe.

FFVII: When Rajin caught a fish in Balamb and when Zell's mom cooked it he gave some fish to the soldiers and when you next see the soldiers they're all on the floor from food poisoning.

FFIX: When your Steiner and you have to round up the Pluto Knights. lol Some of those knights are funny.

Imo, most of the comments ShinRa said in Final Fantasy X-2, I love the damn kid XD

Also, Zidane being like Matrix and all at the end, it was awesome and hilarious.
Really, it was funny him fooling around trying to get Garnet's heart.

I have to think of some other stuff, since I forget a lot of them...*starts replaying*

FF VII :
An event in Don Corneo mansion, when Cloud, Tifa and Aerith were threatening Don. I forgot some of their dialogues, but I remember they say these words.
Aeris "Speak, or I'll rip em."
Tifa "I'll smash em."
Cloud "I'll chop em."
That was quite funny. lol

FF IX :
Zidane "Ooo, soft..." XD

I got a couple actually.

In FF6 when Edgar is tryin to explain why he likes Terra to her. The line "Second, I'm dieing to know if your my type." was priceless to me.

When Kefka completly rearranged the face of the planet by moving the statues. For some reason, the emporers reaction was hilarious and especially when kefka nearly cursed out the statues for having horrible aim. then he kicks the old man off the side of the island. >.> Yea, I'm evil.

Oh yea, and stealing peoples clothes with Locke to get back into South Figaro was good. They should bring something like that back.

In FF7, the part where cloud dresses up is good. Specially if you get the perfect outfit and Donne picks you. The responses you can give to don are funny. Actually, both sceens with Don, (in Sector 6 and again in Watui) were funny.

Something about the realization that eventually, along the path to Golden Chocobo breeding...your gonna have some incest. Thats wrong but its funny too.

FF8...hmmmm, I think the absolute best sceen in a ff to me is the end when Zell finally gets some hotdogs and hes scarfing them down like the are gonna run away. then when he looks up, he brings the dogs closer to him. Its hillarious when he starts to choke and Selphie and Quistis try to help him then he gets pissed at them and starts swinging at them and even throws a dog at the camra. I laughed my @ss off at that.

FFX-2 had me rollin a lot too. A lot of their battle phrases and stuff. Hmm, I think my favorie sceens are with Lablaunce. Specially when you give her a massage. That was just plain old wrong.

For me there wa at least one funniest scene in the FF that i've played:

FF VII: Every time that Barret was pissed off XD, when cloud dresses as a woman and that part when tifa and scarlet are slapping each other XD.

FF VIII: Every scene where Zell wants to shake hands with Squall and he ignores him, in the end, when we see FINNALY Zell Stuffing himself with hotdogs, and then when he chokes, Quistis and Selphie help him, he turns around, sees them for a couple of seconds and then gets up in a flash they run away and he throws a hotdog at the camera, i even fell out of my bed laughing my @$$ of XDD.

FF IX: When they go aboard the first airship in the game for Lindblum and then Zidane touches her @$$ "Ooh.... soft." XD And when he is doing the matrix lol

FF X: Everytime Auron ignored Tidus demands XD, everytime Tidus complained lol and in Djose Temple when Yuna falls asleep and she arrives late they start to tease her but what made me laugh was what Auron said: "Once Lady Yuna combs her hair we will leave." I think that's what he says can't remeber very well ^^;;

FF X-2: Whenever Shinra said i'm just a kid XD and when Yuna and Rikku are so "YAY we won we won gimme five" Paine goes like: ">.> Bite me.." XDD

Well, here they are lol

One of the thing, when Garnet made everyone asleep after eating after the Festival Hunt, where Steiner thought they were poisoned, and he himself was also included.

I think it goes like...

Steiner: Argh...I'm...sorry...princess....I.. (something-something...)

Garnet: That's weird, there shouldn't be any in yours...

Steiner: Huh? Oh, now that you mentioned it, I feel totally fine.

.......I laughed my head off....

Most of Umaro's attacks in FFVI were quite funny. Like the one where he just threw one of your characters at the enemy, or he just threw himself into them.

Kefka's laugh in general. All computerized and such.

In the scene where all the heros are reuinted after getting seperated into scenarios in FFVI. Cyan see's Celes and is about to run towards her. Gau is in front of him. He just says "out of the way, sir Gau" or something and just hurls him across the room so he can get to Celes.

Funny stuff.

When you first go to Djose Temple and all the characters are picking on Yuna. Although it wasn't rolling around the floor laughing it certainly did make make me laugh. There was some good writing going on that day.

i like the special scene in FFX-2 where you have to climb up and peak instead of just go through the front door and steal the goons cloths.

I happen to enjoy the scene in FFVI where Cyan and Sabin first meet Gau.
Gau keeps calling everyone Mister Thou, cause of how Cyan talks. Too cute
Oh yes and he also wants to dance with them. Gau was a really cute character don't you guys think?

When Laguna walks to Julia at the piano and his leg cramps up .Thats just totally loser-like i loved it lmao

Oh yea, I forgot about poor little Gau. He was funny. Specially when he takes them to find the breathing head gear and just chucks them into the river.

Oh, and in FF8 when Laguna and the others are in Lunatic pandora and get attacked by the robots. Laguna tosses Ward and Kiros into the water and looks over the cliff and says "Wow, don't know how you guys did it. This is way to high." then he tries to climb down and slips and starts cussing all the way down. That was funny.

The FFVIII home movie at the very end, some of the things in that video were classic.

Best. Line. Ever.

Cloud's drag experience was pretty damn funny =D And with Cid, it's always tea time ! xD Also in FF8, Laguna's scatterbraininess was uber funny ... "killing two pigs with one stone" and stuff like that. Actually, everytime Laguna spoke made me laugh ^^; And when Squall and Rinoa are on the Ragnarok, Rinoa is sitting on his lap and when he tells her to get off, she says "Don't you like this, Squall?" XD It's more cute than funny, but it's something I remember anyways...

Quistis: "You're squad leader. Good luck, Seifer."
Seifer: "Instructor, save those words for a bad student who needs them."
Quistis: "Okay then. Good luck, Seifer."

Or something like that o.o; They are one of the few small moments I remember. Priceless hehe...

there are so many funny parts in the final fantasy series yet...
to me there are 3 i will always remember:

1)the scene at djose temple in FFX with yuna and here bed hair..XD

2)FFX-2, when the gang is in the zanarkand ruins and they have already anwsered isaaru's question and the they make it to the sphere and then guardian beast shows up and i think it goes like this:
Rikku:Do you think we need a password for this?
Paine: How about kick its ass.
i thought that was halarious..

3)FFX-2,when Nooj had jus got done telling his plan at the end and yuna says," I dont like your plan...........it sucks!" that was pretty funny because i didnt expect yuna to say it...

When Cloud is in the slums and he has to pretend to dress like a woman, and in the process he goes to that Gay Spa... Omg all that crap in those scenes was hilarious i loved it

Totally! And I loved how you had to beat a guy at squats to get Cloud a blonde wig - so funny

I know, and after I watched that as a little kid, i started doing squats for exercize cause they really are a good exercize.... but the fundamentals of it is still kinda fscked

Pretty much any scene in FF9 with Zidane and Steiner arguing. That always gave me a good laugh. That's what I like most about FF9s characters, they compliment each other really well.

My all time favorite moment is when in FFX when Yuna is in the process of getting the 2nd summon and tidus is getting impaitent. When you go and talk to kimarhi he says is a very kimarhi-like way "Find Spot....Shut up...Wait"

X had my favorite line aside from Tellah's gem in IV (Don't know what I'm talking about, play the game ^^). It was an in battle line. I had both Yuna and Lulu in battle, and Yuna said something (I don't exactly remember the line), but she was doing an imitation of Auron.

Lulu: Stop that.
Yuna: ... Sorry.

That one cracked me up.

I just remembered. When you're at the Gold Saucer in FFVII Cloud and Aeris/th have to act in a play. If you choose the right choices Aeris just goes mad and slaps all the actors, it's so funny! (You also get to see Cloud pirouette off the stage )

Also (can't remember if this has been mentioned) in one of Cloud's flashbacks when he's at Tifa's house you can make him wear "orthopedic underwear".

lmao yeah i remember the play in FF7, thats hilarious.... its also funny in FF7 that it IS possible to go on the gold saucer date with Barret.... good shhite....

You can have the same date with Yuffie, Tifa and even Barret, the one from Yuffie and Barret are the funniest XD

Yuffie will kiss Cloud on the cheek and he doesn't respond, she gets nervous and says "please say something" and then Cloud says "...something" and gets slappen in the face XD.

And Barret thinks Cloud is going to hit on Marlene O_o ooowkay, yeah sure Barret XD

You can date Barret? o.O;; what the... how? I never knew that. I knew you could date Tifa or Yuffie instead of Aeris but...not Barret...Dude...I'm starting worry about Clouds masculinity. Its already bad enough he had to dress up like a girl now this?! dude....*shakes head in disbelief*

LOLOLOL that's classic. Good man Cloud good man.... I would have to say that's the funniest part of Final fantasy, cause it's actually kinda funny and thought out by the producers. and its so blunt. and its yuffie. and cloud. lol

Barret from FF7 cracks me up, but that's only because I imagine Samuel L Jackson saying the lines.

Cid from FF7 again, and the Tea thing. Man that was funny as hell, but I really don't understand why I found it so funny...I just did. =p

Dunno..Can't say many other FF moments in the games I've played amused me [to memory x_x], well, except for every moment of the voice acting in FFX and X-2. So bad, you can't help but laugh. I guess it doesn't sound as funny to you hearing American voices, but let me tell you, no matter how bad you think it sounds, it sounds worse to me.

If you wanna date Yuffie, never be nice to Aeris nor Tifa, just pick the worst possible answer there is.
Also before doing the date in Gold Saucer you must've done Yuffie's sidequest in her village. That way she will fall for you and date you in Gold Saucer.


For Barret, dislike every female, Yuffie, Tifa and Aeris, be mean to them and instead if giving the flower to Tifa, give it to Marlene and so on.
I know there is a faq for this on gamefaqs, so you could find any info over there.

I dunno. Mr T seems like so much more of a natural to play Barret than Sam. Sam's too much of a cold mutha-f*cka to play someone as passionate as Barret gets. But anywho, some of the most hilarious moments are the ones that I've designed myself or saw my roommate design, by changing the characters names.

Aeris: It's okay, I had Angst with me!

Hojo: Ah yes, the ancient.
Gonna Die: I'm Gonna Die! The least you could do is remember my name!

I liked lulu's little quotes when you first un an elemental spell. Sometimes she'll say stuff like : "How about a light" and stuff kinda funny and cheesy.

ANd the tea thing was funny. I never got to date barret or yuffie sounds really funny. I'll have to do it qwhen i replay it.

I just ran across this today. It's less a hilarious line and more a hilarious translation from Final Fantasy IV Easy Type.

When you fight the mist dragon at the beginning of the game and you attack it when it's in mist form, after the counterattack, the following text comes up.

Do not attack now! Attacking when mist will freeze you with breath!

I looked at that and cracked up.

When Zidane in FF9 where he touches Garnet's butt and says"ooo soft".

Hahaha.....when Shinra in FFX-2 runs to Yuna and hugs here, moving his knees while he whimpers like the child he is.

I'm almost always dying of laughter on these games, either that or i'm angry, sad or some other strong emotion. Very rarely bored though

ahahaha the whole of wall market in FF7, specifically the honey bee inn ( ithink that was its name ). At the time it was the most ##### up thing I'd ever seen in a game. FF9 had some amazing moments with Steiner too.

FFX: the Jecht Sphere which shows Auron, Braska, and Jecht midway in their journey across the Thunder Plains.

[sphere-camera pans across the plain, briefly comes to rest on Jecht, then moves away again]
Jecht: Hey, Auron! Hold it still! You're going to mess this up!
Auron (wearily): Why am I doing this?

It made me laugh, mostly because it's so in keeping with his character. Auron the reluctant cameraman...so sarcastic...ah, I just love him.
