Hmmm...so, I got into the habbit lately of Watching One Piece....u know, Bleach comes out Once a week, and I JUST HAD to find something to watch for the rest of the week...

So, My cousins gave me 69 Episodes of One Piece, and told me to check it out... Honestly, I wasn't really all that Excited about it after watching the Opening...but then, I LOVED it (I actually watched the first three episodes on a PSP )...

Luffy is just Silly, but he Rocks....ZORO is amazing, and so is Sanji ...

Currently am only at Episode 30, but I LOVE ONE PIECE... what does everyone think?

I used to watch it before until it got removed from the air because the company still needed to acquire the newer ones, the one we had here got until Enerou.

Anyway I dont mind One Piece, although there were some parts that got to me and sometimes Luffy can be annoying but for the most part a-ok with me. ;D I really like Sanji as well because he's quite funny and he's all for the ladies. Nami is t3h hawtness xD Seriously though with such body I wonder how she can even fight or stand up straight. >:}

HEY the first anime thread I can actually reply in and have a general idea what I'm talking about XD!!

Actually I enjoy the series and I collect the mangas too. I haven't seen a LOT of them. Maybe one day I will continue to see them. But I do enjoy Luffy he is always good for a laugh. Zolo was cool, Iesop meh, kinda annoying but kinda funny. Sanji well, the voice is umm wierd to say the least but he's a cool characer.

The faces that those characters have are funny. Defintely something that can normally cheer me up for a few different reasons.

Oooh....I didn't know there were such ppl O_o...

Now I'm even more excited about continuing on it - if possible to be, I'm already very excited about it - ....am already at ep. 31 Now....whoever that DIDN't watch One Piece...U r missing out on a lot

i think Solo is cool and i would mind having sanji around since he is a good cook (can't cook a good meal to save my life) and luffy would be there to make me laught but nami and osar or want ever his name is you know that one with the big nose i don't know what they could do for mecus i can find my way really good and i'll have the other boys to fight with me know what i mean

It's okay I suppose. I have watched a few episodes. I still haven't started TiVoing it but I don't know. I guess it's just not my type of show.

its a decently done anime, it just doesnt really appeal to my taste but i watch it occasionally when its on...sometimes...

I've never ever seen it at all. XD I think I tried reading it for a while over in them Shonen Jump mangazines or something. It never really held my attention, but I just thought it interesting that so many people enjoyed it. For whatever reasons, I have no clue. XD But the art is interesting, and I think it would've rather been enjoyable if I had read the manga from the beginning.

Ah yes, One Piece. One of my fav shows (prolly because our amount of animes are very limited)
Even tho I have to watch it in german, I´ve still seen every single episode. (tho over here, his name is Ruffy)
My nr. 1 fav char in that anime, is EagleEye (I´m just guessing his name, in german it´s FalkenAuge)
His speed, strenght etc etc.. oh and his gigantic sword! are all perfect. The only one who tops Zoro. And Shanks (Ruffy´s (Luffy´s) "teacher")
But then again... our little rubberman´s big brother is also freaking awsome..hmmm.
Ah well! Ti´s a great anime, with great characters.

One piece is very well known anime, at least in my country. But I am not very surprised that this place has no One piece topic. Either they haven't seen it, or they still have other anime lining up to be watched. Who knows ?

I kept hearing and reading things about it being good so I borrowed a Shounen Jump from a friend of mine to check it out. Though the art is kinda strange and fun to look at, I didn't get into it and some of the characters sorta bugged me after a while. xD

Same as Rina, I think it would've been better if I started reading it from the beginning rather than starting at some random point in the story. Then again, the story doesn't really strike any interest to me. I do remember very well about laughing the first time I saw the main character with his strange grin. Luffy was his name, right?

Yep, Monkey D Luffy, one of the funniest characters I've seen.

I've actually watched now up to Ep 248 (latest episodes), I would have to say that it's one of the best Animes I've ever seen & in my favourite list. Haven't been bored of any of the episodes, all the characters are great and occationally funny & it defies the Pirate genre in my opinion.

I've been reading the Manga since it came out in 1996? I think thats when it came out.. And I've watched the show from the first episode to 170 as of right now.. Which is all that has been translated.

The dub makes me hang my head in shame.. Its just so bad..

this show is good for laughs, thats why i watch it, it isent the best thing out there, but it is amusing i haventread any of the manga, but im on episode 250 of the anime, Robin was my fav, but yeah.... sanji would have to be my other fave,

The Arabasta Arc was difinitely one of the best, and also, episode 126 is an All-time favorite....

One piece is a very good anime when it comes to them fighting. The way Luffy ubers the pirates they go against, as well as Sanji and Zolo, they make the show very interesting. And I agree, the voice of Sanji was not what I was expecting. I expected more of a cool, sly tone rather than that trumpet-like voice he had.

Okeiz...K-F are up and running...and already released 171-172 ...and they difinitely r the best, i tried a couple of others but....no where NEAR how good K-F are...

Saw it was being shown on Toonami, so recorded a random episode...I can safely say, after the first 10 minutes, I could not watch anymore of it. It was utter sheisse.

Lets watch a random episode of anything at any random point for 10 minutes. Obviously your not going to know what the hell is going on, you won't be able to apriciate the characters or anything they've done up to that point.

Anyways, Like I've pointed out they ruined it in english.. Taking Smoking, Drinking, Guns and such away from Pirates in a show and adding cheesy bad voice acting = Ruined Anime.

Yes, Watch an Anime 30+ episodes at the point where they fight someone, You sure as hell can judge them. As I said watch the real version and not the crappy english version and you'll see the difference.

Well I'm so bloody sorry that I could only watch the ENGLISH version because that's the only one that is aired. And judging from the character design and goings on, I really don't want to waste my time seeing the Japanese version, Jeesh. I gathered what was going on, a fight. And it was boring and off-putting.

Back on Topic, If u take ANY random Episode of ANY given Anime and watched the first 10 minutes of it, you have a %90 chance of hating that Anime and never watching it again... I would suggest you watch the first episodes or read the first manga chapters to get a better idea...

I watched 10 minutes of every other anime I've watched, liked the first 10 minutes, so watched some more. DBZ, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, etc, I never saw the first episodes of when seeing them for the first time, but they held my interest more than One Piece ever will.

I know you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, duh. But a story should draw you in from the very beginning, that includes each episode. I judged it from how much I could bare to watch, and that was about 10 minutes, I couldn't stand anymore. Why would I watch something that I find utter crap in each part of it? I've already said I've watched plenty of animes randomly, and enjoyed the first ten minutes to watch some more. So "don't judge a book by it's cover", as it were. ¬_¬

It does draw you in from the START you didn't see the START lets get this right.

Begining = When something starts, Episode 1 when the timer starts from 0:00 and goes to 0:01.. Thats the begining.

Now lets compare what you call from the start, You call a part where they are fighting pearl at least 25-30 episodes in rather then episode 1. Plus as I said basing your opinion on a 10 minute slot in a random epsiode is just sensless and shows that you really can't have a valid opinion on the said subject.

Well, I've watched 10 minutes of animes and enjoyed them but continued to watch them further and they plain and simple suck, I've also hated something within watching 3 or 4 episodes and ended up liking it.

Uh huh, Anyways the point is the series combines Goofyness, with Seriousness with a great storyline that continues to shine after about 10 years, Just because you see a random 10 minutes and hate it nobody cares, The viewers in Japan seem to like it enough for it to keep on coming.

A handfull of movies, over 250 episodes a few hundred manga chapters. One piece may suck once americanised but it lives on in Japanese.

Real quick, Finch..... did u watch all 250 episodes that came out? or are U stuck at 170 like Ur's Truely?? I do believe that as far as fansubs, Kaizoku-Fansubs get the Cake...they're simply the best quality of Subbing and of the Episodes themselves....

I have seen one piece a few times before, quite okay,quite nice i would say =D and i have a friend quite into one piece too and showed me a few epi and it was nice ^.^ or at least that few epi is nice.

Nah, I've only watch what KF has out thus far.. But I've read most of the manga up to date.

Ok first of all. Lets get this from a flame fest to an actual post about One Piece. Sephirothalmasy, Grey_fox, Finch, and Dynastygal. That's enough out of all of you as far as the flaming goes. Just because people do not agree doesn't make them stupid or moronic. If you keep it up I will lock this .

Now, I only know the manga and the English Version. I'm working on getting the Japanese version but that aparently is going to take a while x_X. But I do enjoy the manga. The voices on the English dub do leave a lot to be desired. They cut a lot of things out and changed a lot of things too. Just the same I enjoy the story.

Hmm, Obviously when you go into a topic and say something stupid to the general group of the posters in the topic people aren't going to just ignore it. As to Dynasty girl, I've already pointed out her opinion is based on stupidity as she's seen nothing of the story and has a shallow shallow opinion based on 10 minutes of it. I don't care if she doesn't like it but if shes going to go into the one piece topic and try and argue about the show being dumb she had better come up with something better then what she has if she expects people to take it seriously.

Yeah, Seph.. The fight with Luffy is short lived but Choppers fight was actually enjoyable. Too bad Choppers VA came down with something and is being replaced in the newer set of episodes.

One thing I do not really like about KF's subs now are the .mp4 format they used to encode them.. Makes getting screenshots and such a little more difficult then using Virtual dub.. But oh well.

As for MS, Roughly 20 episodes per DVD...

170/20 = 8.5 plus movies which are about 700-800mb each... thats 5 movies, a few specials.. 9 or 10 dvds to send it to you when you look at it..

I gave reasons for my opinion, so don't say I didn't (proof is above). Also, I got flamed first, so I only returned the favour. And I have every right to post my opinion on this anime, no matter how much the fanboys/girls hate it. You cannot have a topic on an anime, and expect everyone to agree that it's great, or wtv, there will be those who dislike the anime. Well I really dont post much but this has caught my attention I personally have never had any inclantion to watch this show even though I have passed it by many times but after reading ur inaine arguments I deciede to do just that and so i watied till ten minuts after it had came on (during toonimai i belive) and I turly liked it it was the one were the rubber boy and the swordsman were fighting and even though the fight lasted only about 4min's it hooked me. see I am the kinda guy that if they dont get the action right i cant watch a show then if they get the action right I will look into the plot aspect's to see if there good if not meh mabey I was wrong but at least i get to see a good fight every now and then. and now to address the ongoing (debate) its true every one has the right to thier own opinon but that dosen't mean that they cant be stated in a more civilized manner

that is all iam done post agian in a month or so or when somthing catchs my eye agian whichever comes first

Yes, Thats what i've been saying forever.. The fights are very good in One Piece and not really ever dragged out.. Most of them are always over in 1 episode.. Also you get to see multiple fights in a row usualy because of the fact more then just luffy fight.

You always have, Luffy - main fights, some side fights along the way
Zoro - 2nd strongest guys usualy and small fights along the way
Sanji - much like Zoro
Ussop - The weakest fights =P

And the rest of the crew that joins along the way. The story is also still strong in the late epiosdes and has been through the whole series.. You will lose alot of it watching toonanime because they do cut some episodes out and change the story to suit a younger audience.

Well.....I watched One Piece and its good.........yeah fights are more than good...... characters are cool Luffy is funny and sometimes its just too much that it gets of my nerves but when he gets angry........he he he.......Zoro and Sanji are my favorite.....You don't see a pirate advantere like this everyday......Solid anime in general if you ask me.....
