If you were to make your own Final Fantasy, what would it be like? What would be the main plot/story? What kinds of weapons? Characters? Bad guys? Magic System? Etc! I will post mine up in a moment, after I plan it all out... *Pulls out some blue prints* Heh! Imagine away! This is YOUR game!

Final Fantasy: Legend of Bahamut
For over three centuries, a war has been raging between the nations of Songheim and Pahltzer. Pahltzer is a nation of fighters who are disgusted with Songheim and it's usage of Magic, which they find appaling. Songheim is repulsed by the way Pahltzer seems to supress and control its citizens and by their appaling need for world domination. In the middle of the fight are the Summoners of Asgard, who live on an island continent off the south-eastern shore of Songheim's continent. 13 years ago, the Summoners were attacked by Songheim, who demolished their capital city and exterminated almost 75% of the city's population. Songheim claimed it was due to the loss of their beloved queen, which they blamed on an assassination by the summoners. However, details are still unclear.
13 years later, Songheim all of a sudden requests a summoner escort for their youngest Prince, who is going out on a mission with his older brother. They are going into Pahltzer Territory to kidnap the princess of their enemy nation, and take her back to Songheim. Strangely enough, a-la-Princess Garnet, she requested to be "kidnapped". However, the summoner they get turns out to be more than they bargained for, and his presence sets off a chain reaction that will reveal who the real enemies on Terra are.
The battle system will be similar to Final Fantasy X in that it will be turn-based and you can switch party members at any time. There will be EXP and AP rewarded at the end of battle, as well as Gil and items at times. As long as the character is in battle for one turn, he or she recieves the EXP. However, you have to be in the immediate party to recieve AP.
The game is class-based, though a number of the characters have some kind of magic they can use. However, there is only one Black Mage. The rest of the cast have one or more of these following classes - Fighter, Knight (Warrior, Swordfighter, etc.), Huntress (similar to Gun Mage of FFX-2), Dragoon, Black Mage, Gunner, Ninja, Blue Mage, and Summoner. Each class has different battle abilities, but there are similar defensive abilities that, once learned, are instantly equipped.
The weapons are of the standard Final Fantasy faire: bows, gauntlets and claws, staves, guns, knives, swords, and spears. Each character can only equip one type of weapon though. The armor includes both light and heavy body armor, wrists or gloves, boots, and two accessory slots. No hats, sadly. None of the characters wear anything remotely associated with head armor. A list of characters and their weapons and armors follows the character intro list.
There are eight characters in your party at all times, but only seven are used. The eigth is sort of equipped to another character, and contributes his own abilities. This character is the Blue Mage.
Craig McNamara - Summoner - Age 18
The son of the late leader of the Asgard Senate (Asgard is the Summoner's Nation) and a member of his country's most popular rock band, Craig is a well-known person around his nation. He witnessed his father being murdered before him, actually rather brutally, but he seems no worse for wear. Craig's a cheery, strong, sympathetic person who is usually serene, unless he's facing something from his past. At the same time, he can be uncontrollable when angry and a little too impulsive. He has short, shaggy tumbleweed brown hair, emerald green eyes, and wears glasses.
Elena Koassa & Mogleon - Ninja/Blue Mage - Age 18/279
Craig's long-time friends and self-proclaimed groupies, Elena protects Craig while he's summoning, and Mog watches over Craig as he journeys to discover the location of Bahamut's temple. Long ago, the summoners lost the locations of most of the elemental Esper shrines and temples, including Bahamuts (hence, Legend of Bahamut; no one knows if Bahamut or it's temple really existed. No one was born with the power to summon him, either.) Mog reports back to the Summoners Council, though his alliance rests solely with Craig. Elena has long, jet black hair and scarlet eyes. Mog has buttery white fur and wears a stylized bandana.
Victor Languely - Black Mage Gunner/Grand Mage - Age 19
The younger of the two princes of Songheim, Victor is a timid, shy, introverted person. He's been like that since his mother's death, supposedly at the hands of a summoner. His emotional "weakness" is shown by his meager mastery of Black Magic, which both he and his brother can do. Craig is assigned as Victor's guard during a certain mission because both his brother and father fear he doesn't have the ability to defend himself. Victor has short, wavy black hair and dark blue eyes.
Alexander "Coros" Mithandyr - Dragoon - Age 58
A former Dragoon from Rigel (located on Pahltzer's continent), now a famous international merchant, Coros (as he's called by his friends) has watched over both Craig and Victor, though Victor is his current charge. In a lonely world, Coros is Victor's only true friend, though with Craig's appearance, Coros believes that things will start changing for his favorite young royal. Coros was completely opposed to King Languely's massacre of the Summoners of Locke, and often has dark words for the now-repentant king. Coros has shoulder-length flaming red hair bound up in the back, very tanned skin, and dark green eyes.
Nadia Allenze - Huntress - Age 18
The Princess of Pahltzer and an accomplished Huntress, she has only one thought in her mind: killing her mother. Like Victor and Craig before her, she also witnessed one of her parent's die. Her mother killed her father in order to be the sole ruler of their nation. King Allenze was planning on making peace with Songheim, and the queen could not have that. Now Nadia's only objective is to escape her mother, join Songheim, and take down her own nation, in order to save it from her mother's insanity. She has mid-back-length jet black hair, chocolate brown skin , and hazel eyes.
Amelia Macomb & Efren Nacera - Knight/Fighter - Age 19/23 (together to save space)
Amelia and Efren are to Nadia what Elena and Mog are to Craig; they're Nadia's posse. Amelia is a knight and air-soldier trainee in the Pahltzerian Army who befriended Nadia through her parents. Though unsure if they should really join Songheim, Amelia supports the princess in everything she does. Efren is a former pirate who was captured trying to break in Nadia's castle, and was saved by the then 10-yearold princess. He now serves as Nadia's personal body guard. He's also Nadia's boyfriend. Efren has stubbly, dark brown hair, relatively tan skin, and brown eyes. Amelia has shoulder-length blonde hair, slightly tan skin, and hazel eyes.
--The bad guys vary from Pahltzer Army troops, Songheim Mage Knights under the command of Alaster (Victor's older brother, the Crown Prince) during Aster's short reign as regent, and the summoner's long-time enemies, and former ancient allies, the Shinobi of the Land of Ice and Snow (which Elena is a member of, though she holds no formal affiliation to them). Monsters are the result of a Shinobi experiment gone terribly wrong, an experiment which you end fighting as the final boss. (I promise, if the game was made, the final boss wouldn't be a Necron-like character. There would be a backstory to it.)
Weapons and Armors
Craig - Fighting Staff, Robes, Wrists
Elena - Knives (Kunai), Mail, Wrists
Mog - no equipment
Victor - Guns, Robes, Wrists
Coros - Spear, Armor, Gloves
Nadia - Bow, Mail, Wrists
Amelia - Sword, Armor, Gloves
Efren - Gauntlets/Claws, Mail, Gloves

Well...sort of...It's actually a funny story
It's actually an original Final Fantasy story I've started writing. In fact, I've been milling on that one story for over three years. Uhh, what exactly do you call an original Final Fantasy story anyway? Could it be classified as fan fiction?
....yeah...I know....I'm one major nerd
It's only recently that I've actually come up with the current characters, though, although Coros has been a character since the beginning.

Dude I've done the same.. I created a Final Fantasy storyline and my friend did all my character art for me, just for kicks
It's a love story more than anything, but there's an assassin running around, and he's killing tons of random people, and the family members of these victims (who happen to be warriors) all join up to go after the assassin.
Turns out the assassin is aprt of a gang, and so the main good guys end up fighting a huge like gang war.. it was cool, i had mages, and street fighters, axe-wielders, a chracter tha tkinda looked like a bat, cowboy sorta chracter, sh*t was hott

Wow, man! I never thought a topic like this exsisted! Ok, let me try!
Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crossing Winds
"The world is a peaceful place. There are beautiful valleys, high mountain tops, vast plains, and more. Everything is perfect, if threre weren't any monsters. Monsters keep everyone in fear, terrorizing and killing. Some people hide, others fight, but then there are those who journey...
This is a story of one such journeyer, a man called Ace. At first, his journey is only to find himself, but he eventually gets caught in a struggle for the fate of the entire world."
The game will have the ability system of FFIX and the ATB battle system. Each character can learn only specific abilities and has a special command that only they can use (like steal, sense, etc.) Only three characters can be in the immediate party which can only be arranged in the field, but once a character learns the "switch" ability, they'll be able to switch out for an inactive character during battle.
There are seven main characters:
Ace
Age: 21
Weapon: Sword
Special ability: Double/ Triple cut
The man without a past. He journeys to find out who he is using the only clues to his past, his sword and a place called Meggido in his memories.
"Donna Dagger"
Age: 20
Weapon: Dagger
Special ability: Scan
A self-proclaimed "expert monster hunter". She meets Ace in the streets of Halcyon and helps him on his quest. Her real name is Beldonna Sakura, but everyone calls her "Donna Dagger" because of her weapons of choice.
Cajus Palo
Age: 19
Weapon: Knuckles
Special Ability: Psyche up (temporarily raise attack)
The people's protector. He has spent the last three years trying to defeat Locke, a thug who keeps Cajus's hometown in fear and asks a weekly tribute tax of the townspeople. Cajus is not the thinking type and is willing to charge into any situation without thinking through the consequences. He is the owner of a world map, and gift from his dead father and mother, which he protects with his life.
Kaira Sway
Age: 20
Weapon: Claw
Special Ability: Guard
One of the two knights who act as personal guards to the King of Levia. She is deeply loyal to her king, but can't help but think that the recent warpath Levia's been going down is right. She leaves Levia and joins the party after Cain, the other personal guard, accuses her of being a traitor.
Evan Varia
Age: 22
Weapon: Gun
Special Ability: Summon Shot
The top soldier in an elite military base. Evan has been subjected to many experiments. Although it does give him the ability to summon ancient gods, he can't help but feel like he's out of place. He leaves the base in order to find a peaceful career somewhere.
Gaul Apache
Age: 42
Weapon: Katana
Special Ability: Deathblow
An assassin who will take on any job. Nothing is really known about him, but he only seems interested in fighting powerful enemies.
Atticus Hymn
Age: 1000 (although he looks 22)
Weapon: Staff
Special Ability: Focus
A mysterious spellcaster. Created by Onei to kill, he refused and was imprisoned inside an ancient crystal. Set free by the party, he tells them of Onei and their journey suddenly takes a whole new turn.
The villains
Onei
Age: 5000 (looks somewhere in his 30s)
Weapon: Scythe
The creator of all monsters. He hopes to kill all humans with his monsters so he can populate the world with "perfect" beings he creates who will worship him as a god.
Zephyr
Age: Unknown
Weapon: None
The second "weapon" created by Onei (Atticus being the first). He acts as Onei's right-hand man, and always acts more cocky than neccessary.
That's my idea for a game. How is it?

I'm just got rpg maker xp and I'm making my final fantasy game right now. It's actully a remake of FF1 but I sort of making it a proper story(I don't think it was not a proper story, hello?!Four crystals warriors to save the world and then do mostly wandering throughout the game.Boring..)Ok,a couple of facts about the game....
Final Fantasy Beginnings:
Plot
A demon named Chaos caused all a lot of trouble(just look at FF1) by breaking the order of the 4 temples(Water,Fire,Earth and Wind).A legend says 4 warriors of light(FF1 again) will bring harmony to Gaia(spoiler:this is the world of FF9 10,000 years in the past).A group of four young people with different backgrounds meet each having one thing in common. Each hold a crystal. After many triliutes and loases the four slowing uncover Chaos true plot with incules the cause of all life,The Crystal....
Characters
Main
This is the hero of this story:
Rio
Gender:Male
Age:16
Story:His village was destroyed by a fire.Soon after he meets up with the other main characters.
Heroine:
Crystal
Gender:Female
Age:16
Story:Her history is much of a mystery. He is the only one who can talk and understand Vason. She seens to be part of Chaos plot. And she be the 'female' to go with Rio.
Vason
Gender:Male
Age:10
Story:Much about him is a mystery. But most of his life he was raised by a elder black mage who taught hm the ways of a black mage.He is very shy.The only one in the group that can talk to him is Crystal.
Note:He looks like Vivi.
Shakira
Gender:Female
Age:14
Story:She was once part of a rich and powerful family. When she was 10 she was capured by group of pirates but cunning escaped. When she returned to her home town she discovered her family were brutally murdered and robbed they fotures.Filled with agured and revenge she set on a quest to kill everyone invole in this and get her family fotures back. She meet the others much latety.
Spoiler:She becomes the first summoner in the very end of the game so she is the anicent relative of Sarah(Dagger's real name) and Eiko.
Villans
Not going to put much in this one. That knight from the beginning of FF1 is a servant of the main villian Chaos.I just going to put some facts about Chaos but no major spoilers.
Chaos
Gender:Male
Age:Unknown.(He was always there and always will be.Like the devil. He is evil)
Story:He's a evil demon trying to put everything in to darkness. No spoilers.

so far, i think LagunaWannabe's is the best. i like the way the characters who join you don't seem to be joining your party for rediculous reasons. although, you should meet them w/o knowing who they are, like an accidental meeting (except maybe for 1 or 2 who you know about and seek out). if there was a twist at the end, where the assassin turned out to be someone else/someone else was controlling him, it could be a good FF.
(my FF would be like FFX, with a few changes)

Wow. I didn't put as much thought into mine as the rest of you. Mine was mainly a philisophical journy for finding ones meaning. It would start out with the main character returning from the war to find his entire family, minus his little sister, murdered. He gets angry and sets off on a quest to find their killer and bring him to justice. On his way, he would run into a man who served with him in the army. The man listens to his tale and decides to come with him. After about twenty hours of gameplay and a lot of twists and things in the story, they would end up killing the pope. They would then be arrested and executed without trial. That would end the first disk. The second disk would begin with a bunch of cut-scenes showing what happened when the ex-main character's family was murdered. It then shows the kidnapping of the ex-main character's little sister. The main character would end up in hell, while the main character's freind would end up in heaven. God would tell the main character's freind that the religeous leader's of the world were trying to take over the world, because they had finally hear the X-Prophecy. What exactly the X-Prophecy was, and what it had to do with the story would remain unknown. God would then give the main character's freind the gift of rebirth. The main character's freind would then assume the role of the main character, and travel around the world spreading the word of the evil of religeon. Around every corner, however, believers attempt to kill him, and he ends up having to hide out in the ex-main character's house. He would find it empty, with a package addressed to the ex-main character. The package woul;d contain an address, and a tape. The tape would be a poor quality video of the rape of the ex-main character's sister, as well as the murder of a man tied to a chair. That would end the first of the three game saga of Final Fantasy: X Prophecy. I think it would be rated AO for blood and gore, intense vilonce, sexual violence, mature sexual themes, and use of drugs and alcohol.

Good lord you guys are some bored cookies.

>.> wait...does that make me a bored cake for coming up with a game combining a friggin mess of characters from all sorts of rpgs from all systems? >.< ahhh slag!!
Oh well, guess I could put in my two cents into this. I have been brewing over this for a while. This is a plot that I eventually turned into my own story but I suppose it could fit into a final fantasy if I took out some of my originality.
Final Fantasy: Family Ties...
Plot: The mercenary group known as the Raven's End is the largest and most powerful guild around. They are both feared and respected by all major countries as a last resort to all things. They handle everything from Assassinations to taking baskets full of goodies to somebodies grannies house. If your willing to pay, they're willing to do it. This story revolves around the leader's son, a young Raven named Roy. He has jsut gotten his official papers stating that he is a full fledge Raven. He takes his first mission, which happens to be a monster extermination mission, and heads out with 3 of his seniors to handle the mission. They find themselves at an ancient temple that use to be used as a worship hall for an evil god but has since been abadoned by humans and become a breeding ground for monsters who attack and pilliage nearby towns. After finding and killing the monster queen, Roy finds a mysterious neckless and tries to put it on but is interrupted by the WHOLE FRIGGIN TEMPLE COMING DOWN AROUND HIM!! (>.> Yea...that should be RPGish enough for an opening. ) Upon trying to exit, the groups way is blocked by a leageon of monsters that dont' intend on letting them escape alive. That's when a mysterious light engulfs Roy and Roy alone and he vanishes leaving his friends to their demise. Roy eventually finds himself at a castle town on the other side of the world. There, he finds out that he's been out for about 3 or 4 months and a LOT has happened in that time. During his absence, his mother, the 'Angel of Death' or leader of the Raven's, has declared that the Raven's Nest is no longer a mercenary guild but a full fledge country and in the same announcement, declared war on any country that dares try to appose their search for the 7 Signets of which they already have 5 of. These Signets are supposed to grant emense knowledge and power to their weilder and the Raven's want them. Theres only one problem, the last 2 are hidden quite well and only surviving members of a particular bloodline can even touch them. This bloodline just happens to be Roy and his mothers bloodline. So Roy sets out on a trip to try and get back home to find out what's really going on.
Characters:
Roy Hunter
Age: 20(i'm sick of people who are just hitting puberty saving the gotdamned world)
Height: 5'6
Race: African American (hay...it could happen in a FF one day!)
Weapon: Duel-Swords
Gender: Male
Bio: Synical, Jokester, hates being left in the dark, likes giving people the impression of him being cold but he's actually a nice guy. People hate his sense of humor cause its a little dark for them.
Marcusia Tatiania
Age: 21
Height: 5'0
Race: Asian (i think)
Weapon: Daggers
Gender: Female
Bio: Older Princess of Tatiania Kingdom, dreams of becoming Queen of the 12 seas one day, a real tomboy who is good with magic because she was forced to be but prefers melee combat more. Moreso forces herself into the party.
Jewel Tatiania
Age: 17
Race: Asian
Weapon: Daggers/ claws/ staffs (depends on her personality)
Gender: Female
Bio: the younger princes of Tatiania Kingdom, the poor girl is litterally a skitso, meaning she has multiple personalities. 4 to be exact; her normal princess personality, a powerful(kindof) sorceress, a theif, and a punk rocker wannabe. You can actually change ehr personalities in the game to give her different skills and slightly alter her stats to fit what she turns into.
Carlos Strider
Age: 20
Race: (no clue...can't remember really)
Weapon: Katana
Gender: Male
Bio: (can't remember)
Thats all the characters I can remember. So what do you guys think? I've already started making this into a game. its already liek an hour long even if you play straight through so i'm pretty proud of myself.

mine involves the main villian blowing up the world before the main hero realizes that he's the only that can stop the destruction of the world.
i call it:
Final Fantasy 0: For Real, the last one. We blew up the world before you can do anything about it. Why "FF0?" because we're all out of ideas for low-rent heros and afemininite looking evil persons. Look for it as a launch title for the PS6- which will cost you $8,000.

I came up with another idea. It's an indirect sequel to my first idea (Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crossing Winds) that takes place 1000 years later.
1000 years have passed since Onei's defeat. Though not all monsters have disappeared, their number is considerably less. The tale of Ace and the others' journey became nothing more than myth. Technology has also greatly advanced, airships being a common thing to the wealthy who can afford them. Mercenaries also own airships, though with a rumor of war on the horizon, only one mercenary group still takes the skies.
Throughout the storyline you go on missions where the plot slowly gets revealed. Though you have an airship from the start, you cannot use it to quickly travel, it just serves as a place to rest and where you go after each mission. Towards the end of the game, you're given complete control of where the airship goes.
Characters
Heroes
Duo Kerf
Age: 18
Weapon: Dual Swords
A local pickpocket in the city of Odis. Driven by hunger, he tries to steal treasure from the palace, only to be forced to flee. While escaping, he manages to get on the airship Sleipnir just as it takes off, where he meets a group of mercenaries, the Seraphs, who'll take on any job. In exchange for not being turned in, Duo agrees to join the group.
Forer Daines
Age: 18
Weapon: Knuckles
Duo's childhood friend. After Duo's (at the time) mysterious disappearance, Forer goes off looking for him. They are reuinited during a mission to stop King Mida's assassination, where Forer offers to help. He considers himself (though Cid will deny it) an official member of the group after the mission.
Syrus Mortis
Age: 34
Weapon: Gun
A member of the Seraphs and head of maintenance on the Sleipnir. He spends any time not on missions tuning up the Sleipnir.
Edge Warder
Age: 38
Weapon: Largesword
Palace guard in Odis who tried unsuccessfully to catch Duo before he escaped. Edge manages to find Duo during a mission and tries and fails again to bring him to justice. Ashamed of his defeat, he joins the Seraphs to regain his honor.
Oolus Doyen
Age: 28
Weapon: Dagger
Another member of the Seraphs. At first he didn't like the idea of Duo joining the group, but later starts treating him like a younger brother.
Silens Undo
Age: 45
Weapon: Staff
A man who has devoted his life to mastering the ability to use magic, something that hasn't been done in almost a millennia. Though a member of the Seraphs, he retired after 3 years to return to his studying. The group seeks his help in locating the "Crystals" and try to stop a war from starting.
Villains
Gil
Age: 27
The "Bandit King" who the party frequently encounters. He first shows up to assassinate King Mida and (despite the Seraphs' attempts) succeeds. Then later gets "killed" by Forer. He later takes the throne of Odis and attempts to use the power of the four crystals to start a world war. His real name: Azelus Mida.
Shabran
Age: Unknown
The Lord of Darkness. Long, long ago, he was a powerful figure that ruled over all. He was overthrown and his body was sealed away, the four crystals that he needed to break the seal were scattered across the world. Since only his soul remains, he is an entity of pure darkness and cannot go near the temples where the crystals are hidden. He told Gil about the crystals and used him to get them. It is said that if his body revives and he has the power of all the crystals, he could destroy all existence.
Important NPCs
Cid Avia II
Age: 36
Leader of the Seraphs and pilot of the Sleipnir. He assigns the party to missions and takes them where they need to go.
Leon
Age: 39
A weapons dealer who gives advice once in a while...for the right price.
Hooded man
Age: Unkown
A mysterious figure that occasionally appears to guide the party when they get lost. Nothing is known about him. Who is he? Why does he appear when they need help? What does he have to hide under the hood?

If I had my notebook thats at home I'd write out my whole thing. I have an idea that spans five discs. 10 main characters and enemy for each disc. Travel from different continents and worlds and dimensions. Multiple endings. Pretty sad deaths. If anything my characters resemble people I kno in life. If I had the notebook though I'd tell you guys my ideas for a new one.

bump! Come on people! Doesn't anybody have any more good ideas? There were some awesome ideas here! Keep it going!
Here's another idea I had one day. I use some names that I've used before, but that's because I like those names.
The story is actually two stories in one. The main story in the present revolves around Duo, a member of an elite group called "Guardians" who starts his monster-killing adventures. The second story takes place about 1000 years prior in a book Duo reads during some downtime. The second story involves Judas, a boy who gets his hometown destroyed and seeks revenge on the monsters that did it.
During the story, Duo will occasionally read a book and the gameplay perspective will switch to Judas in his storyline. Then later Judas will write an entry in his journal and perspective will switch back to Duo etc. The narration for the two stories is appropriately different, being third person narration in Duo's story (in the few moments there is narration) and first person in Judas's. At first the two plots have nothing to do with each other, but overtime little connections will be made that eventually bind the two stories into one grand plotline.
THE HEROES
Duo's Story
Duo
Age: 18
Weapon: Longsword or Twin Swords
Joined the Guardian Academy to be like his brother Ward. Duo is hotheaded, but when necessary he can think clearly and calmly and come up with a plan. Having no sense of direction, he constantly relies on Ward and Gerad to tell him which way to go. Being a Guardian, Duo is always ready to help people who need helping.
Ward
Age: 21
Weapon: Spear
Duo's brother who was considered one of the best Guardians from Vaaran Academy after he graduated. Ward is very patient and likes to plan carefully before anything, making him a polar opposite of Duo (and also causing several doubts about their relation for Gerad). He takes Duo to meet Gerad after Duo's graduation and is always looking out for him.
Gerad
Age: Early 20s
Weapon: Knuckles
Hired Ward as a bodyguard to keep him safe from monsters, but Gerad doesn't seem like the type that needs protection. It is later revealed that his love died several years ago and since then he hasn't been able to fight like he used to, prompting him to hire a bodyguard. He acts as a "leader" for the group since Duo and Ward are working for him, but everyone mostly considers Duo the group leader because of his sense of justice. He is friends with the mechanic Cid, who owns an airship and Gerad convinces him to lend it to them.
Sarah
Age: 18
Weapon: Daggers
Daughter of a wealthy family who is shocked to find her father dead one day. She runs into Duo and instantly accuses him of being the murderer (she can't remember the culprit's face perfectly, but she thinks he looks close enough). She follows him when he promises to help her find the real murderer. Cold at first, she gradually warms up to Duo after he proves his innocence, eventually falling in love with him.
Lunis
Age: 18
Weapon: Greatsword
Duo's best friend. They met at the Vaaran Academy entrance ceremony and have been close ever since. During a monster attack on his hometown of Barros, he teams up with Duo to fight off a huge group of enemies. He has Silver Hair, a common trait in his family, and is the only member of his family to actually achieve "Guardian" status.
Judas's Story
Judas
Age: 19
Weapon: Two-sided sword (sort of like Zidane from FF9)
A boy from a small town called Fahren. He goes to the river with Forer and comes back to find Fahren completely destroyed by mysterious monsters. He then sets out to uncover the mysterious appearance of these monsters and get revenge for Fahren's destruction. He is the only person in his whole town who believes in the existance of the floating island of Avias, a legend in Fahren and he dreams to go there one day.
Duras
Age: 35
Weapon: Shortsword
Private guard to the king of Levia. Duras is short-tempered and doesn't like it when someone ignores him. He taught Judas how to fight when the king sympathises with Judas's situation and wants to lend him a hand. Him and Judas are sent to find Princess Sophia and Duras obediently watches over her as they adventure.
Sophia
Age: 19
Weapon: Whip
Princess of Levia. She gets tired of being confined in the castle and leaves to find out about the monsters. When she is found by Judas and Duras, she convinced Judas to take her to Andre and orders Duras to come with them. She is very tomboyish and wants to prove to her father that she isn't a child anymore.
Andre
Age: 42
Weapon: Staff
A wiseman who knows most everything. He is intrigued by the monsters' sudden appearance and wishes to know more. He goes with Judas and the others as a sort of guide, telling them where the best place to go next would be. He carries a personal grudge with the King of Levia, but is strangely friendly to Sophia who pays him frequent visits.
Forer
Age: 19
Weapon: Chain
Judas's best friend. After they find Fahren in ruins, Forer suggested that him and Judas head for Levia to find clues. Forer is killed on the way by a monster and Judas never lives it down, blaming himself. After Andre remembers a legend about an entrance to the land of the dead, Judas and the group go there and fight the Keeper of Souls, who has Forer chained. The Keeper agrees to let Forer go with Judas and the others, but after a year his soul will return to the land of the dead. Forer is able to wield his chains as a weapon and is willing to except his death after Judas and the others' fight is over.
The Villains
Onei
In Judas's story, Onei was the assistant to King Levia who discovers the secret of the monsters: an orb of unimaginable power called the Illumina from which all monsters are born. Using the Illumina's power, he tries to become a tyrant king, but is stopped by Judas and the others. When they return from the land of the dead, they find 500 years have passed since they went in and Onei is alive and rules a great deal of the world. He used the Illumina's power to ressurect himself and become ruler. During their second confrontation, he absorbs the Illumina's power and becomes a monster. The group defeats him again and the Illumina's power is lost, only just enough energy is left to keep a smaller amount of monsters circulating.
In Duo's story, Onei is back. Over the 500 years, the Illumina slowly regained it's former power and Onei is once again ressurected due to his bond with it. The party defeats him and Duo destroys the Illumina, ensuring it's power is never again used by Onei or anyone else.
General Zaran (Duo's story only)
Head of the Barros military. Zaran's wife Eleanor was killed by monsters long ago and every since, he has thought of nothing but revenge, gradually becoming the cold-hearted man he is now. He hatches a plan to destroy every monster at once by launching a giant bomb, an act that will kill thousands of innocent people and may not guarantee success at destroying the monsters. Not listening to any warnings, Zaran continues with the operation. Duo and the group try to cancel the operation by any means, eventually taking Cid's airship and infiltrating Zaran's airship base. Not listening to their warnings, Zaran fights them in the control room and dies, thus ending the operation.
Donn (Judas's story only)
A former knight at Levia castle, Donn was considered the best of the best. One day he was banned from the castle and has hated the King and kingdom since. When Onei tells him about his plan to overthrow the king, Donn is excited. Donn frequently attacks Sophia, claiming it to be orders from the king, which causes Sophia to have doubts about her father, as per Onei's plan. After Onei gives the order to kill, Donn attacks for real. The party manages to beat him and Onei kills him for his incompetence.

I really like dragoneye13's ideas. Dude have you ever thought about taking some of these ideas and make it into a real rpg? There are easy to use programs out there that you can use to make your ideas into a reality if you don't know about them. A long time ago I had an idea for a final fantasy. I started the project through Rpg maker 2000 and was doing well until the data gotten corrupted while I was transfering it into Rpg maker 2003 format. With the project lost, I've completly scrapped the idea of making a final fantasy.

Haha, I've thought about it before. I haven't really used RPG maker in a long time. The last version I tried was freakin' complicated and I couldn't really do much. Maybe I'll give the latest version a look and see if I can work with it. Oh, and thanks for the praise!

as with so many others mine would probably be based on a story ive wrote. Though its not really a ff story or any other relation. Tried to make it was original as possible. Never did finish it on paper though I have probably every scene stored in memory. Probably finish it once I retire for something to do with my time.

Come on, doesn't anybody have any more ideas? It was fun to read all the ideas people had. Am I the only one who actually thinks about these things?
And about my ideas, me and my friend are working on making one of them into an RPG Maker game. Right now we're coming up with a rough script. It's going pretty well so far, though as of yet we haven't decided whether or not to include "Final Fantasy" in the title (nor do we have a title at all so far).

I made one for RPG Maker 2000. Fully completed game that had everything. Until one tragic day, the hard drive that contained the game was stolen, along with a few other of my things.
I plan to redesign it in a much better format, however, since I still remember the story and everything else about it.

Well, me and my friend made a demo of our game. It was about 10 minutes long and took you through the first dungeon and boss. However, when I got a new computer I forgot to save the data and now it's lost. Now we have to start from square one again. You can expect to see a link to a download of the demo when it's done.

QUOTE (Hoodman @ Apr 2 2007, 08:11 PM)

If I had my notebook thats at home I'd write out my whole thing. I have an idea that spans five discs. 10 main characters and enemy for each disc. Travel from different continents and worlds and dimensions. Multiple endings. Pretty sad deaths. If anything my characters resemble people I kno in life. If I had the notebook though I'd tell you guys my ideas for a new one.
Kinda sounds like a Chrono Cross/Trigger on Steroids. I like it

Long games = goodness
Ya, looking at this thread makes me wonder how the real designers come up with their games. I personally like playing RPG's better than reading some books is because the designers really tear into the characters (in a good one) and you end up loving them, unless they're Quinna, Kimhari, or like 1/4 of the playable characters from Chrono Cross who should have just stayed NPC.
I like everyone's suggestions

It would be just about exactly like THIS:
Wakka

im not going to make a discustingly long thread lol my gane would have the fishting system from KH and the freedome of oblivion and a leveling system just like FF9

Time to toss a phoenix down and give this topic some life again!
There has to be some more people with ideas out there! I miss reading people's ideas for games. Come on, share what you got! Even if you think your idea is horrible, we'd all love to hear it!

Alright, we have a main character, for the lack of a better name, his name is Bitch. And one day, under unknown circumstances he burns down a couple of buildings, which in turn catch other buildings on fire, and the original arson looks like nothing when the whole town's gone. He doesn't get caught, and few people know he did it, but Bitch doesn't feel guilty about anything. Bitch is a sociopath. Until one day, Bitch meets #### while killing defenseless rabbits in a forest. #### is in harmony with all living things and thinks that the existence of Bitch is the saddest thing known to man, which Bitch points out is #######, considering there's Evil Empire across the ocean that's murdering and raping by the millions. #### tells him to "STFU!" and decides to make him into a new man, because Bitch is also really hot despite being a dick. #### is a princess unbenknownst to Bitch. You know, until they stumble into #####, ####'s father's guard captain.
So ##### is leading an army into Evil Empire, and he cannot do anything about the Princess being out and about around Good Constitutional Monarchy, so he hires Bitch to bring #### back home for a huge amount of money. Bitch has absolutely no problem with this, and #### complains the whole way. They pass through a few caves and forests and general dungeonry, until they're walking on the shore, about a day away from Capital Castle. When they get captured by PIRATES.
Bitch and #### get tied up together, when #### has a mental breakdown over all the evil surrounding her, when Bitch slaps her and tells her that she's clearly not so in balance with the world if she goes haywire every time a bit of immorality her way. She's clearly a seesaw with a weight on one end, and all she can ever handle is sugar coated goody goody nonsense which doesn't exist. He then rips through his ropes and starts indiscriminately killing pirates, whose leader, whilst dueling Bitch, informs of Good Constitutional Monarchy's secret plot to ally itself with Evil Empire in order to have joint ownership of the world - notifying #### that ##### was on indeed on his way to Evil Empire, but not to fight. Rather, to capture all the smaller kingdoms and countries to the south of Not So Good Constitutional Monarchy (all the countries belonging to S.A.I.N.T, unambiguously good and never evil union of nations that will always fight on moral grounds [which is never btw], never on economical or such - meaning that they never have armies that are any good because they can't really afford them), take their harbors, then set sail from those harbors in order to set up an efficient trading route. Since No So Good Good Constitutional Monarchy doesn't have that much coastline, or any decent harbors, that one beach they were captured on was it.
After really long cutscene explaining all this, Bitch sighs, and says "so what?" and continues killing pirates indiscriminately. Pirate leader, a man named Gimp, eventually surrenders himself and his ship to the willpower of Bitch, and agrees to go along with him, since he's a pirate, and therefore all he cares about is profit - and Bitch's moral ambiguity would obviously help do that. Bitch laughs at him then agrees to let him help. Bitch takes the ship as close to Capital Castle as possible, gets an appointment with the king to bring #### home, who is kicking and screaming. The king demands money to have #### returned, since she is such an annoying ####. Bitch doesn't want to give money to kings for their annoying daughters, so him and Gimp slaughter half the royal guard until they're surrounded by just the regular guard. And the other half of the royal one. Since the king is still being a retard, Bitch kills #### to spite him. And then he prepares to be killed. WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN COOL NINJA DUDE OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN RESCUES THEM WITH SMOKE BOMBS AND MAGIC!
Bitch and Gimp wake up on their pirate ship, with a ninja who introduces himself as Douchebag commanding the ship. Obviously Gimp doesn't like him that much, but he's forced to stfu since Douchebag saved his life. Douchebag then says he knows a lot about Bitch, and Bitch says he doesn't give a damn. Douchebag reveals his face, which looks like someone melted an action figure. Because that's what happened, Douchebag's town was burned down by Bitch, and Bitch just laughs in remembering it. Douchebag says he dedicated his life to finding Bitch, so that he can kill him in revenge. So Douchebag and Bitch have a duel, leaving poor old Gimp to cry, since he's a pirate and should be the one having this duel for his own, seriously lacking character development.
Douchebag loses the duel and Bitch chops off both his arms and laughs about it, as Douchebag bleeds to death. Then Bitch makes him beg for his life, and when Douchebag does, he goes into the brig, and then comes back with A NEW AND EXPERIMENTAL KNIFE GUN and HOOKSHOT, which he replaces both of Douchebag's missing limbs with. With magic. Douchebag whines a bit, but having promised his life to Bitch, he is forced to accompany him.
Bitch decides to "screw that old #####!" the king of blahblahblahKingdom and ##### over his plans with evil empire. So he sets sail to Evil Empire. Evil Empire turns out to be this dystopic brown sky black buildings with no windows sort of thing, controlled by robots. "That's ##### lame," he says in comment, "I thought it'd be more like nazis and less like commies." He contacts a group of GOOD ANARCHISTS, tells them of the plot with blahblahblahKingdom, which they for some reason didn't know about, and causes them to go on a bunch of terrorist attacks all over CommielandEvilEmpire. After doing fetch quests for them. Oh and he accompanies them on terrorist attacks sometimes. Also stars in the leader's rap video for shits and giggles.
Gimp cries some more about his lack of character development, and Douchebag slaps him across the face with the harpoon of his hookshot. In the background, of course.
Somewhere along the way, Bitch and co. meet #####, the guard captain, who is finally realizing that his kingdom is... GASP... EVIL. After a long and heartfelt talk with Gimp in which he shows the bulk of his character growth from dick pirate to an okay pirate, ##### is recruited to Bitch's side. After of course, Bitch and co. fight him. That's necessary.
GOOD ANARCHISTS then contact Bitch and tell him that they've somehow manages to get the way to EMPEROR'S HIDEOUT open, and BLACK DUDE, leader of the GOOD ANARCHISTS, joins the party. Everyone heads down into EMPEROR's HIDEOUT which looks like something out of Silent Hill by way of Escher's geometry mindfucking. They meet the emperor, who turns out to be a CHOCOBO WITH MOOGLE'S HEAD who is trying to get revenge on the world for letting this genetic fuckery happen. Bitch and co. ignore his story and easily slaughter all of his 60 forms in a three hour long boss fight. Then the empire sort of blows up. It's cool yo.
IT TURNS OUT THAT KING of the NOT SO GOOD KINGDOM was being controlled by DEMONS, and #### has been trying to exorcise him, alive for no real reason. You know, skipping all the random fetch and broken bridge quests that got them to CAPITAL CASTLE - which is now darker, edgier, and more like Castlevania. #### rejoins the party as the same annoying #### but with some darker and edgier stuff that she learned from being dead, ##### cries about having to kill his king, Gimp wonders if there's a sidequest to explain his past or something, and Douchebag gets his mind probed by demons that by proxy reveal the circumstances of Bitch's arsnonry and general malevolence. When Douchebag brings it up, King eats him and everyone cries or something. King is fought, demon is released, Douchebag is shat back out. #### is like "FATHER I LOVE YOU" and King is like "OMFG THANK YOU."
Anyway, so they're now sent to the real final dungeon, which is an airship floating in space (V_V). King donates his SPACE FACTORY for the sake of creating a ship for them to get there, blah blah, more quests, some tough monster bosses, maybe a sidequest or two. THEY FLY INTO FINAL BOSS DUNGEON, and watch FLASHY FMVs. Then they fight EVIL DEMON who is ZEROMOUS or ULTIMECIA or SOMETHINGSIMILAR. Bitch has his mind probed, or something, but he doesn't react to it very well - as his probing reveals that he had a botched lobotomy as a child and is a dick because of that. He finds the whole probing thing rude and slaughters the DEMON. #### then kisses him, and he tells her to go and make him a sandwich while the rest of the rest of the cast smile and wave. Black guy looks like he's flashing a gang sign, but in actuality, that's the number of lines he had in the game, counted on his one hand.
CREDITS ROLL.
