I'm about to Finish Gundam Wing which is my first Gundam I've ever watch. I've been looking online and I have been seeing all these other gundam shows. There like 0083,Z,G,SEED,DESTINY ect.. how many are there total and do they follow any time line? Gundam Wing is after colony 175 I think... so would like gundam Z be after colony 134 or somthing like that? I really like Gundam Wing alot and I'm also wondering if any of the other gundam shows are better than Gundam wing or are they all about the same or is there a few where your thinking why did they even make this show?

Go check www.gundamofficial.com for the timeline.

Apparently there is one, and it's mainly separated in four diffrent eras.

U.C. / Universal Century - The original Gundam series, Zeta Gundam and all it's following sequels.

F.C. / Future Century - Only G Gundam takes place in this era, as far as I can tell.

A.C. / After Colony - Gundam Wing, Endless Waltz etc.

C.E. / Cosmic Era - Gundam SEED, Gundam SEED Destiny

Although there is a timeline, it's often treated much like the Final Fantasy series. That each new series is in a separate universe of sort, with no real references to the old Gundam series. That's because they usually change the whole development team every time. New writers, artists and directors.

By the way, check out Gundam SEED if you can find it. It's a great series.
And Gundam SEED Destiny is it's direct sequel.

War in the pocket is better then seed and its only 8 eps. Other great ones are 8th ms team and zeta Gyndam. Seed is also good too

yea im not sure of the time line actually. but i remember a few years ago gumdam wing appeared on tv and it was my fave show...not recently gundamseed has aired.. i dont really watch it tho. but im thinkin it takes place after gundam wing just becuz of airing time but iunno im most certain that im wrong lol

I prefer the older Gundams. They seem to just appeal to me more...

08 MS Team was a great series just because it was about a normal guy in a normal mobile suit... nothing super special.. It was great to watch and I suggest anyone that has never seen it to go watch it.

I've only seem gundam wind and i love that show it was part of a air time in cartoon network called toonami, they used to really cool presentaition of the show,

Pretty much they all followed a timeline until G-Gundam.

As for Gundam Seed being good, Yeah right! (just my opinion)
Kira was way too childish.
I did like the overall plot and the Gundams though.

Gundam 00 is by far my favorite.
Too bad i have to wait till October when they start airing them again.
Servant Saber
Gundam 00 takes place in Anno Domini, A.D.

It's the only Gundam series to take place in our actual timeline, save for one other that I can't recall. Turn-A, I think.

Turn-A is supposedly UC, but that's still debatable. Oh and Hiks I think you left out A.W. (After War), the timeline for Gundam X. I don't trust Gundam Official anymore.
