Synopsis:
Not long after he had entered high school, Sakai Yuji’s normal days were finished. He saw something strange on his way home; people were frozen in fire, and a monster looking like a large doll assaulted them. When he was about to be killed, a girl in black cloth holding a large sword appeared, and cut the monster into halves. Although Yuji pulled though the crisis, the girl informed him of a hopeless fact.

`You don't "exist" anymore'

She called herself Flame haze who hunts “Guze no Tomogara”, intruders from another world. She explained to him that he was a "torch”, a substitute of Yuji whose “existence” had already been eaten. She also told him that he was a special torch, “Mystis”, which has a precious item in it. When he looked at his chest, he saw a faint flame like she said.

In this way, his eternal fight alongside the girl he named Shana began.

Well...a friend of mine introduced me to this by showing me a picture of the main character. I was intrigued, so I got it along with Fate / stay night. Now I'm hooked on Shana *points to sig* @_@ Anyone else tried watching this? IT's got 15 eps. so far...out of 26. Now I can't wait for the next ep. (for one, it's more fast paced than Fate/ Stay Night as of now) O_O And from what I've heard, the manga is still ongoing...from the way things are going, I'm already hoping for a season 2 XD XD

So, this is Shana ? I've been searching for this anime since the day I have some her pics from .... Uhhh, "chan". XD

By reading the synopsis, I think this anime is Bleach-wannabe. lol
I dunno, might as well go watch some episodes first and then I'll post my thought later. =)

LOL...yeah, the pic that was shown to me also came from 4chan. XD And yeah, that's what actually caught my attention; when he said that it was kinda like Bleach. XD Well, after watching it, I found it quite different from Bleach...in a good way.

I've only watched episode one so far, but I'm getting more episodes of the series. The first episode was decent, but not mind blowing, but go enough for me to continue the series for the time being. Got a lot of flashy looking animation and the artwork of the series is to my liking, so I think I'll keep watching this series.

1llu51oN, from the few reviews I read. People do comment about how similar this is to Bleach. Not that's a bad thing in anyway. I'm not one to care if anime is similar to another anime series or not. Unless we're talking about DUEL.

First episode was a nice action scene and start off pretty plain and boring, which was good since you need to get the feel how normal Yuji's life was. Then it goes completely crazy when monster that was a huge doll appeared and start eating everyone. During the battle Yuji cut in half, but he was perfectly fine since he was already dead. Though, kinda depressing to find out you're just a replacement for the real existence of Yuji that left that world long ago.

Plans for Shakugan no Shana movie has been announced on the official Shakugan no Shana site.

Awesome news! Shakugan no Shana the series is coming to end, so not exactly sure what type of storyline the movie will be. Either a stand alone movie or will give closure to the series. Can't say since the series is over.

Anyway, can't wait for this film. Probably won't be out until 07.
