i had an idea. i have a lot of those thanks to my over-active imagination. so i'd thought i'd share my idea, since this forums is so dead. (you can share yours if you have any or if you want to.)

Wild ARMs X
Years after an explosion that destoryed a town, two survivors- unaware of each other- become <Dream Chasers> trying to find a place to call home, despite their own history. They're latest job begins the adventure of thier lives.
Vern, a true Dream Chaser hired to protect the town's generator from a gang of bandits, blames himself for the town's destruction- why? HE was the cause of it. HE is a Holmcross- an artifical being awakened long after the war he was created for...
Magdelane, the daughter of the lord who hired Vern, believers herself not only the only survivor of the destruction of her home, but the last survivor of her race- SHE is a Crimson Noble.
They're latest job:
Hired by an adventurous scientist to protect them and aid them in excavation a ruins. Vern finds an ARMs used by previous Holmcrosses (imagine a cross between Jet's Airgetlahm and Jude's 'Shapeshifter'), whereas Magdelane finds a pair of devices used by her Crimson Noble ancestors (Hob & Nob biggrin.gif) just as they're employer unearths a Demon Lord that was imprisoned centuries ago.
Now with the world threatened by an age old enemy, our heroes join with a motley crew (a merc, a shaman/summoner, and a Heavy Arms weilder) to prevent the destruction of their world.
Unfortunately, at the end of their quest, they find their place- 6-ft. under.

that's just the basic premise, and i have another idea that i'll get to later.

Okay...here it goes.

Characters
Clifford Delemarter Age: 19?
Clifford Delemarter has been a Drifter since before he can really remember. He has no memory of his past, up until eleven years ago, when he woke up in an alley, torn clothing on his back and a strange, shape-shifting ARM in his right hand. Nowadays, Cliff wanders around Filgaia, looking for odd jobs and other things he can do to support himself, all the while searching for his lost home and his missing family. Cliff is a very helpful and optimistic, but world-wise, young man, holding a powerful, dry sense of humor along with his destructive, multi-form ARM (which he has named Ragnarok). Cliff has sandy brown hair, piercing blue eyes, and sandy brown stubble surrounding his mouth and chin.

Ariadne Lerrelei Age: unknown
The daughter of the Elw Mariel and a Baskar tribesman, Ariadne is an outcast in Elw society. Only her mother and father support her. Ariadne serves the Baskar people of the Rosehalt Settlement as the Baskar's High Priestess and a tutor for the Pillars, future Baskar Priests and Priestesses. Ariadne, like all Elw, has an intrinisic connection to Filgaia, and the forces which protect and maintain it. Ariadne is able to summone these Guardians using ancient Baskar rituals and Guardian Media (sing.-Medium). She has light tan skin, straight, shoulder length hair, amethyst purple eyes, and floppy, hair covered ears.

Mark Krause Age: 20
The son of the famous merchant, Rainer Krause, and the heir to his father's shipping empire, Mark was living the easy life until a gigantic sandstorm hit his town from out of the blue. In the din caused by the sandstorm, Mark witnessed his father death at the hands of a stranger dressed in strange, cobalt blue armor. The individual appeared to have confronted Mark's father, taking his family's prized heirloom, the Teardrop, and then evicerating the Krause family patron. Mark now wanders Filgaia with his ally and former girlfriend, searching for the man who murdered his father and took their Teardrop. Mark uses two simple, hand-crafted ARMs (unlike Cliff's, which is probably a mass of nanotechnology). He has shaggy black hair which extends two inches past his shoulders, usually bound up, dark brown eyes, and a slash scar across his left eye.

Natalie Welend Age: 19
Mark's former girlfriend and his partner in his search for his father's murderer, Natalie, the daughter of another wealthy family in Mark's hometown, lost everything in the sandstorm that destroyed her town, including her entire family (two parents, a brother, two sisters). Believing the same man Mark is searching for also somehow caused the sandstorm, Natalie has just as much a reason to pursue the man as Mark. Natalie is an accomplished Crest Sorceress, and is extremely dangerous when angered. She had mid-back length, wavy blonde hair, emerald green eyes, and a sweet smile that hides a very violent and very powerful young woman.

--------Story----------

Clifford Delemarter has no memory of his past, up until an event eleven years ago, when he woke up in an alley in the port town of Del'Mar. Cliff had to grown up quickly, but for some reason he never lost the optimism he seemed to have been born with. Eleven years later, on the anniversary of his "Awakening", Cliff agrees to an escort job, taking a strange young woman, named Ariadne, to an unusual, broken-down stone temple. The woman is a priestess of the Baskar faith, a group of individuals who live out in the wilderness, "communing" with nature. On this certain job, Cliff and Aria encounter an armored individual by the name of Faust. Faust calls himself a demon, and proceeds to show the two of them his powers by opening up what he calls a "Time Rift". All of a sudden, something clicks in Cliff, and, after some impressive acrobatic maneauvers, Cliff somehow shuts Faust's attack down with one shot. Faust mumbles something, and disappeares into thin air.
Aria, believing it isn't safe for her to remain with the Baskars, become a Drifter with Cliff, and they soon encounter Mark and Natalie. The four of them form a Drifter Group, or become Dream Chasers, and after a number of encounters with other beings calling themselves "Demons", Cliff and the group come face to face with the "Demon"'s ringleader. He calls himself Zeikfried, and Mark and Natalie instantaneously recognize him as the one who destroyed their hometown. Mark and Natalie try to take Zeik together, but fail miserably. To protect Aria, Cliff goes up to face Zeik next. For some weird reason, Cliff has a lot better luck, landing hits that Mark and Natalie had both only dreamed of...until Zeikfried finds an opening, and deftly slices off both of Cliff's arms. However, the group is surprised, even horrified, to find that, instead of blood and human muscle tissue, Cliff starts bleeding a thick, mercury-like substance from tissue-like metallic bones and muscle fibers.
It is then revealed by Zeikfriend that Cliff himself is a Demon, the creation of a person Zeikfried refers to as "weak, spineless, and a coward through and through." Zeik has sworn to never say his name, but tells Cliff that he is the creaton of That Person, born from the unborn child of one of That Person's many experiments. Leaving Cliff, Zeik remarks that That Person didn't do a very good job at making Cliff battle-ready and capable of the carnage Zeikfried believes Demons should be capable of.

The whole story involves first fighting off the demons, and then discovering Cliff's past, and what his puprose for the future should be. Just because he's a demon, does that mean he's instantly a menace to Filgaia? Or, can this young man, born of different origins but living the same life as any human or Elw, join together with the people of the planet his race opposes, and save Filgaia from the Demon's wrath?

---This is just a rough storyline, actually. Also, it reintroduces a number of Characters from the other Wild ARMs games in different lights.

I have a PreHistory for Wild Arms 1 that I will post for this soon. I don't have it on me currently, but just to give you the basics. The main characters, names forgotten, include the founders of Arctice, Adlehyde, and Curan Abbey and then two holmcrosses, and an Elw. I think that is how I spread out the characters. I think I had another character, being the one who actually brought the Elw, Humans, and Guardians together to face the threat...don't remember. I'll have to double check.

another idea:
Chrono ARMs
Story: Years of war over fertile patches of land, left the world of Filgaia barren (hasn't it always?). The wars ended when scientists proposed an idea to refertilize Filgaia... spreading temporal nano-machines through out the world, sending the planet back to an age of vast grasslands and forests.
Several years have passed, and an unforseen "side-effect" has appeared: the nano-machines have essentially reversed the aging process. This would have been a welcomed side-effect, if it hadn't been for the dwindling population and the revitalization of once-exstinct species.
Arlow's father was a scientist who tended to the Yggdrasil Tower, has not returned home in a long time...
Upon investigating the reason, the Tower 'explodes' and all hell breaks loose. Now Arlow is trapped within the Tower, but each level exits out into a different Era...
Teaming up with friends from each era, Arlow tries to find the cause of the 'explosion' and to get him back to his own time...

Recently, I've been thinking...my idea of a game would be the main character (hero/heroine)
of all the games put together. the leader would proably be Rudy, becuase he was the first one.
But other than that, i got nothing else.
The Great Yuffilator
I envy all of you guys' creativity. I'm better at memory and mathematics and stuff like that. I have been working on something that is sorta a sequel to Wild Arms 2. But nothing as detailed as what you've got.

The basic story is that Ashley and co. disappeared. Months er.. years pass. Marina wants to look for him since she's tired of being a single mother... After WA2, there were no threats and with people's hearts united, the guardians' powers were stronger than ever. This makes the sky bluer, the grass greener (and more plentiful) and every day just seems sunny and bright... The characters are all those minor characters from WA2. The party goes around dodging corrupt rulers and trying to invoke the powers of the guardians. All while one insane man tries to turn Figaia into his planet, where he is immortal and worshipped.

Characters:

Marina Irington (or is it Winchester now?)
She gets small guns like Virginia from WA3 or Jane from ACF. Her prologue is in the Sword Cathedral where she gets some powers from the Sword Magess. She's pretty much the leader. I'm not even halway through the story, but she gets to a point where she gets hurt and gets all afraid of what would happen to her kids if she dies etc. So she gets to deal with all that crazy emotional crap, that always happens to the leader.

Colette Mapleleaf
Tim comes to the Dream Seer in a dream and gives the message that Colette needs to become the Pillar and Filgaia is in trouble. She does, and the guardians tell her that she will need to visit all of the guardian shrines to have the power to save Filgaia. I'm using all 26 guardians. That's right 26. She's basically like Tim in battle, only faster. She's sorta the 'auxillary leader' since she has to be in your team when you go to all of the guardian shrines.

Tony Stark
Tony got Marivel to bite him. So he's now a Crimson Noble. He's gotten angry waiting for Marivel to return to Crimson Castle, so he goes to Meria to find out exactly what happened. He uses Red Powers and has Hob & Nob. He sorta fits the whole 'moody, angsty, loudmouth, I'm so bad teenager' cliche.

Billy Pilder (last name unsure)
He wakes from his... mental disability. He gets a sword. He's been hanging around T'Bok since he feels kinda guilty and in debt to them. Also, his memories are very foggy. He remembers a bit about Brad, Vinsfield, and Slayhiem, but not much. He wants to find Brad, the only person he knows can fill in the gaps. He has an overprotective big brother thing over Merrill (and eventually Colette).

Terry (last name unknown)
You don't start with him. The party meets him in Sielje and once you explain the situation, the proffesor guy tells Terry to go with you. Terry's problem is that he's a genius little goody-goody who always follows orders. So he's gotta deal with that before the game is over. Obviously, he's a Crest Sorcerer (the first male one in the series).

Noel (it wouldn't be Guild Galad would it? That just sounds wierd.)
He's the Guild Galad Master's son in case you don't remember. He comes with you beacause the GGM is acting strange. Yeah, whenever someone of authority acts strange in a video game you know something bad is afoot. He's a natural-born leader.

Those are sorta the main six. You get a total of 16 characters (4 are secret/temporary), but you only have 6 with you at a time (like in WA2). The rest wait on the Valeria Chateau.

But yeah, I'm not too great at story. I'm better at setting abilities and gameplay stuff.
