Ok, have you ever wanted to go through a game, giving all the characters strange and unusual names, either just to lighten up the mood, or because it's 3:00 AM and the only thing keeping you going for this 2nd all nighter in a row is two 24 packs of Coca-Cola?

Well, if you have, then I know how you feel. It was about 3 AM and a friend and me decided we would play Wild Arms…. Here are how the names ended up…

Rudy = Crayon

Jack = Zapper ♂

Cecilia = Fluffy ♀

…Did you ever give them weird names?

I have never renamed any characters...except for Florina to Mariel..hehe. Oh...and that one is Alter Code who wanted a different name. The guy with the monster book.

One of my friends though named his characters funny names...which I didn't think were too funny.

Rudy- Vanessa
Jack- David
Cecilia- Vanessa

He thought Cecilia and Rudy looked bad so he gave them bad names...argh...I did name Jack, Emiko, at least once, and I believe Garrett too.

Ashley = Cloud
Tim = Vivi

Yep, Final Fantasy character names. Just got into RPG and just finished FFVII and FFXI and I disliked Ashley's and Tim's name, so I rename them to Cloud and Vivi. Though, I won't consider those renamed character having weird names.

These days I just stick with the default name. Giving them weird names doesn't really lighten the mood. It kinda makes them sound stupid for having such a ridiculous names.

in all honesty, Eva, i'd never EVER name any character after a FF game... let alone FF7.

i only change their names in WA2- everything else remains the same, more or less.
Ashley gets changed to Vyrnin, Brad to Crolja, Lilka to Lillian... and Tim's name is changed to whatever i feel like.

I have to say that most of the time I leave character names as they are, but every once in a while I will change the names a little. Sometimes it just makes it fun for me, especially if I've already played the game through, ((though with WA I hadn't at the time.)) and sometimes it can actually be really entertaining early in the morning. Heh... So Rudy, does your thing have something against the name Vanessa?

In WA3 I named Gallows gramps and clive Greeny. XD i changed them the instant I got a chance though..

How I wish I would have changed Clive's name... I dunno why, I just don't like it... but I don't like any of their names paticulaly (Jet doesn't suit him, and Gallows is just a dumb name... Virginia is ok, it's just a bit of a mouthful).

However, I like to keep names the same on my first playthrough because I don't want to get confused when I'm talking on a forum or something.

The 3rd name is from the anime called "Saiyuki" XD I renamed them when I already completed the game about 70% and also already beated it it was just for the fun init.

Clive = Ramon = Hakkai
