I really love the music in all thhe final fantasy games. I have most of the music on my PC for advent children and FFX and X-2. I dunno but when ever you go to a new area in any FF game the music seems to fit that area. Like in Zanarkand, the music was kinda depressing but kinda cheery a little. Anyone know what I mean. (Think I'm posting to many topics?)
Mushroom
First of all, no, new topics are good imo smile.gif as long as they have a point.

I enjoy the FF music, I'm definetely not a huge fan of game music in general, and theres only a few tracks I'd have on in the background that I actively listen to. I really liked the music to go with the first SeeD mission in FFVIII, in Dollet.

Hmm, seen this topic before...ahh well no matter.
God, I hated the FF X-2 soundtrack, it had only one good song imo, which was Demise.

I liked the old soundtracks, especially FF IX. That soundtrack just had something. Many don't like this soundtrack, but I think it is the best there is. Kuja's songs, Garland's theme, You Are Not Alone! I enjoy this songs piece by piece.

I Loved all the Final Fantasy soundtracks from FF7-FF9. I did not mind the Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 soundtracks.

For Final Fantasy 7 my favorite track would of been the Fireworks theme, only one I can remember cleary besides Aeris'. Final Fantasy 8's Favorite track besides Eyes on Me would be the Waltz for the Moon, then Maybe I'm a Lion, then Shuffle or Boogie. I have Many favorites for Final Fantasy 8, though I will not name them all. Now On Final Fantasy 9 I like Kuja Trance, You are Not Alone, Black Mage Village, and then Melodies of Life.

It is always easy to recongize a FF game by the music.

I think the FFX-2 Soundtrack is the best in the whole series. I liked Real Emotion, 1000 words, the boss battle theme and Abyss of the Farplane. Several mixes of the airship theme were awesome too. There was one mix though that was not included on the OST and I've been looking for that online. The theme for Vegnagun wasn't too bad. I guess the whole J-pop approach they took with the games soundtrack was a nice change for me. For FF7, the Northern Crater and Birthplace of the weapons(so that you know what track I'm talking about) hands down were the best of it's time. This is until FF8 came out with Premonition which blew all of FF7 away. I'd like to point out that Eyes on Me is overrated and the OST could have went without that piece of crap.

As said in a previous topic made by Sadistic Angel, the only thing FFIX had going for it was it's OST including Melodies of Life. I don't remember a lot of FFX's tracks except for the boss battle theme and Pride of the Ronzo , one of my favorites.

No.

I liked one winged angel the most out of all the themes along with the paino battle theme in advent children. And I fon't forget black water or is it vicious for the fight theme between cloud and Kadaj.

EDIT: the song for Kadaj and cliud was Jenova.

I only played FF7 and 8. (I finally finished 8 yesterday). And I liked some soundtracks.
In FF7 I liked Aeris's teme and the music on the world map. From FF 8 I adore Liberi Fatali 2 and Waltz for the Moon. I also like the beginning teme, and the final boss music was magnificent. It really gave me the motivation to defeat Ultimecia. I think I'll download that music now biggrin.gif
Final Fantasist
Hmm, there a lot yes, but i only liked a selected few of the soundtrack, never liked the whole ones.

Anyway:
- FF VII: Aerith's Theme and Tifa's Theme (Piano Version), I love this two, especially in piano version, they're my favourite of FF VII.
- FF VIII: Balamb Garden, Roses & Wine, Eyes on Me, Fragments of Memories and The Man With The Machine Gun.
I loved all those, the battle theme for Laguna and his party was ver good, Roses & Wine. Eyes on Me, and Fragments of Memories, because i found them touching, and Balamb Gaden, because i just like that theme, after all, you hear it through almost all your game time in FF VIII ^^
- FF IX: To me, it had beautiful pieces, but the other horrible ones, huh >.>, anywa, Melodies of Life, Bran Bal, the Village Without Souls, Dark Messenger, Feel My Blade.
Bran Bal and Feel My Blade were very good, one of the best imo, Melodies of Life because it was a very touching song to me and Dark Messenger because Kuja's final battle theme just kicks ass.
- FF X: Main Theme (piano version), Someday the Dream Will End, Suteki da ne, This is Your Story, Revealed Truth and Yuna's Theme.
Main Theme, Someday the Dream Will End, This is Your Story, Revealed Truth and Yuna's Theme because I can picture all the sory that goes by just listening, very good indeed. Suteki Da Ne was very touching to me, one of the best musics i've heard.
- FF X-2: The weakest of them, imo, the only ones I liked, because they were actually good were 1000 words (the japanese version, the english one sucks), Eternity, the opening theme for FF X-2 and Yuna's Ballad.

If we don't count he games, then The Skies Above from the Mages and J-E-N-O-V-A (AC version) i liked tis much more then the one in the game.

FFI - FFV
Nothing really sticks out too much, if you put it in context of the time they were made then the music was great, but it's hard to really like much of it. I might do a list for these later.

FFVI
Johnny C Bad (It's a proper groovy peice)
Gogo's Theme (Another groovy peice)
Magitek Factor (It's inspired some great remixes)
Battle To The Death/ Decisive Battle (Great boss themes)

FFVII
Still more fighting (This is my Favourite FF tune, and it's the FFVII boss battle)
From The Edge Of Dispair (This is a really simple yet powerful emotional track)
Judgement Day (It sounds really very epic and perfect for the final battle grounds)
The chase (It just sounds to wonderfully 80's)

FFVIII
Movin' (This is by far my favourite FFVII tune, I feel like it portrays a struggle towards a goal)
Mod's De Chocobo (I like the direction they took with this theme)
Maybe I'm a Lion (A great battle theme)

FFIX
Vallo Ala Flamenco (This tune just made the Chocobo Hot and Cold game EVEN better)
Court Jesters (I only like the jazzy bit in the middle)
Run! (Just one of the battle sequance themes that I love)
Festival Of The Hunt (On of the other ones!)
Silver Dragon (The third one)
Black Mage Village (This one is just plain groovy)

FFX
Suteki De Ne (This just has to be included)
Via Purifico (This song captures how your characters must have felt, really down and like the world is against them and yet at the same time determined and optimistic)
Spira Unplugged (Of all the version of this song in the game I like the sound of this one the most)
Assualt (A truley powerful song)
Final Battle (I couldn't say why I like it, but it's quite different from the conventional)

FFX-2
This is by far the WORST Soundtrack... I only liked the J-pop song at the beginning on the japanese version... The english one doesn't sound as good and the rest of the music makes me cry.

I like the Black mages and the FFVII piano collection as well... but I would probably choose a remix of a lot of these songs over the original just because I've overheard the original.

Oh and you arn't posting too many topic, we just arn't posting enough... However there have been several on FF music so you should check before you post a topic just in case biggrin.gif But keep at it...
Seraphic Dreamer

Final fantasy VI: Terra's theme, Locke's theme, the returners, forever rachael

Final Fantasy VIII: mods de chocobo, eyes on me, waltz for the moon, ami, fisherman's horizon, the oath

Final Fantasy IX: vamo alla flamencio, your not alone, song of memory, freya's theme, gizamaluke's grotto, terra, memoria, loss of me, something to protect (or something like that, it's the music that plays when steiner and beatrix are in alexandria fighting off the mist monsters)

final fantasy X: someday the dream will end, to zanarkand, sight of spira, rikku's theme, yuna's theme, song of the fayth, suteki da ne
