Well I know Bubble does XD but otherwise, I was wodnering does anyone here follow Lost? I live in the uk, but I d/l it so I've been keping up with the USA, the finale to season 2 was sooo good, far superior to last years finale. I don't know, from what I was aware this show is really popular all ove rthe world, I thought there would be discuss on it.

I hate this show with a passion. XD
I've watched a few episodes, but I'm not following the series, and I never will. Die! =p

If they had an evil hedgehog in it, then maybe I'd watch it...
Bubble
ohmy.gif Lol as said I really love this show, i watch it every week xD. People who started watching it and didn't continue, I know have said that the abudance of stories as to what each person was doing when the plane crashed in the first series is what turned them off, or maybe the far fectched idea of this plane crashing for what, at the moment, appears to be no reason. But I loved it. I love that everyones stories tied in with each other in the first series.

The characters stories are really good. But my favourite episode was when Boone died - gosh he was my favourite character and that episode, the music and the acting just made me cry xDD.

Atm I am on season 2, following along with the TV schedule but I do kinda wish I could download it =(

LOL! Hiklet...

I wouldn't say I love this show, but it goes under Smallville for me. I like it and I watch it every week (following the UK schedule) even though I have half of season two on disc ready to watch from my brother's friend. I'm just not THAT into it anymore to really want to watch the next few eps before most people in the UK.

I'm kind of going off this show... x.x but I might just watch them this week though since it is half term now. xD

I think they made a too big a deal about the hatch, after all that hype about what was in there... it get's wtf? "THAT'S IT" from me. xD

This is show is very popular around the globe for no really apparent good reason, I still remember the amount of adverts it was getting in Hong Kong when I on holiday over there.

I watched all of Season 1 since my sister bought it. I watched most of Season 2. I missed a couple episodes, but after watching the recap episode before the season finale it seems I didn't miss much. Damn great series, but still some question are still unanswered and some new ones have arised like what does Desmons girlfriend have to do with any of this?
Bubble
Deasmon's gf? Woah no spoliers xD!! I have no idea who that is so I assume it is in episodes to come =P

Indeed! I watched it and was like =o this hatch must be a big deal! They get down there and what do they find.... some retro computer! And oh yeah the obligation to press in a sequence of numbers every 108 minutes - what fun it was finding the hatch huh! >_>

Nonetheless the first series was better imo, but still a good show!

No spoilers please... at least don't mention anything past the first few episodes of the Second Series (Because that is where us Brits are).

I watch it every week but I'm not as crazy about the second series as I was about the first. There isn't really much that I care about happening right now. I personally think the hatch Served more purpose as a MacGuffin to help us discover more about the characters. Now that we know what is inside it's pretty dissapointing...

As for the pressing the button every 108 seconds (or whatever)... well The program reveals very early what it is about... however it might just be a Red Herring. My theory:

In the Film that Jack and Locke watch a Man is mentioned; B.F. Skinner. This guy was a psychologist who looked at Behaviour Modification and Conditioning. Pressing the button every 108 seconds sounds exactly like an experiement he would have performed. My theory is that Skinner set up an experiement in which a person would have to press a button every 108 seconds without knowing why. This would prove that people could be conditioned without using punishment. I havn't explained it very well but to cut a long story short, Having to press the button is just an experiment by a derranged Psychologist... however because he belives that Punishment is not nessecary there would actually be no consequence from not pressing the button, but the only way to find out is not to press the button once.

O sorry about not putting a spoiler tag thought everyone had watched the season finale since it all of a sudden popped up a day after.

Well having watched the whole of series 2, I found it to be FAR superior to season 1, but I don't know if that had anything to do with the fact I got eps. 1-10 together, so I didn't feel so drawn out like in series 1 >_> series 2 has alot more action and plot, and they're not so uptight about givin gus a steady flow if plot info.

The hatch may seem to have annoyed some people, but it forms the center of this series: jsut as season 1 geared towards "Whats down the hatch", season 2 asks "What happens when the countdown ends". All Icn say is this season did NOT disappoint.

Flame...you're at least asking the right questions. The countdown and the button are extremely relevant, and alot of the lost mythology has been constructed around psychological theories intepreted into themes for the show, for example John Locke was a real philosopher and Tabula Rasa ( the name of ep. 3 of season 1 i think) was a eal theory he came up with.

To paul with SPOILERS :

Desmond's girlfriend...she obviously has been attempting to find him, and somehow figured out that if she set up a tracker for electromagnetics across the globe she could find the island should the elctromagnetics flux again, like they did the first time. The question is, how does she know abou tthe island and that the elctromagnetics are part of the experiments going on? I'm guessing her father was part or is still part of the Hanso foundation, and she found out through him.

It's clear Widmore is at least involved in many aspects that could be useful to Hanso / DHARMA: Construction (Building the stations, employing Michael perhaps), Pharmaceuticals (The vaccines) as well as sponsoring numerous people (The Real Henry Gale, Desmond) in travelling.

With the island being hidden by electromagnetism, I'm tempted to think it's a successful repeat of the Philadelphia Experiment.

See that must of lost is working off of physcological tests, experiments, research and theories; that much is evident from what I mentioned above and any sort of research into the monster etc. it seems the creators want this thing to be complex. However I'd be wary of being so quick to make an assumption its gonig to be a similar theory that already exists; when the big plot of the others/dharma/hanso/widmore and what they are up to is evealed, this has to bbe relatable to and capable of understanding by the general public. If they make it tooooo scientific its gonig to turn alot of people off and they're gonig to mvoe uot of the mainstream slot they've achieved. I think you're right, I iamgine ocne this is all revealed, they'll say "well I got that idea from this theory"etc, but I also think its going to be a bit mroe mainstream and flashy as well. either way I think we're guarentee'd twists in a manner we've come to expect

I was just browsing round YouTube and quite accidently came across this:

Lost... the musical o_O?!! Link!

I have no idea if this is real or not and whether you can actually go and see it, it certainly sounds like it, but this really made me laugh. Completely random moments in this clip and the whole thing gets a big WTF from me, but I thought you guys might appreciate it. It bypasses lame for me and actually looks kinda fun. Could be entertaining for some xD.
Flame
Hahaha I'm pretty sure that this isn't real... they would at least employ acotrs who could sing but if it is real I'm going to find a way to see it biggrin.gif XD
