Ok there were a lot of shocking moments the FF series, but I havn't played a lot of them. So what were some moments that people were like OMFG about. Some for me were when I saw Aris get killed and then Sephiroth looked like he just won a medal (seeing him like that just made me more angry.) Another one was in FFX when I found out Tidus was a dream. What made that messed up was that fact that he and Yuna loved eath other. Another moment that got to me but not so much was when I found out Auron was an Unsent, but IO was pretty ok with that.

Anyway, each FF had, at least, one shocking moment for me, those were Aeris death in FF VII, I mean c'mon who would have guess that would happen? In FF VIII when Rinoa is posessed by Ultimecia (i was very little when I completed the game, when I saw Rinoa posessed like that i even got scared xD, i'm not kidding, even now when I replay i get goosebumps(sp) everytime i see that.

FF IX: Finding out that Garnet wasn't human and Zidane was from another planet, although i don't consider that shocking, i was just surprised. FF X, well first time that Hero and heroine don't get together, that was a bit shocking, again something new. That Tidus was a dream ad Auron was an unsent, i was surprised, didn't see that coming.

I can't remember other shocking events, at least from other FF's.

Delita killing Ophelia (FFT)

Really, I mean you think that Delita wouldn't even do such a thing. I mean he got married to her, he's pretty much the king now. Then all of a sudden he kills her. In my opinion that was more random than Sephiroth killing Aerith. I smelled that hit a mile away, I was just wondering when it would happen.

How do you swear an oath to protect someone them kill them? Did something happen to change his mind dramaticly like that?

Play FFT.

Haha yeah I agree with ST on that one because it pretty much happens on the ending and that everything is like well and all... and then that scene comes up after the credits, or was it before x_X;;, and bam they both stab each other. The irony is that Delita really has fallen for her, I think she was just getting paranoid. ._.;;

ok... Anyone ever replay FFX and see how messed up everything was. I mean you see how Yuna and Tidus get along great and how they love each other, then next thing you know he's jumping off the airship. Or when we find out that Yuna was gonna die for the final aeon. I never really noticed that fact that one of them was gonna have to die no matter what. But X-2 cleared all that up.

FFIV started out quite shocking (for an old Snes game at least) because of events like Palom and Porom turning themselves to stone to save the other party members, or Leviathan attacking your ship and apparantly killing your whole team. However, As the game went on it became 'Oh look, another character just died'. *sigh*

Aeris dying was accidently spoiled by a friendand so it was never much of a shock to me which is a massive shame because I wish I could have been shocked by it. One of the most shocking moments for me in FFVII was when Yuffie suddenly upped and left the praty and stole all my materia and had apparently had something to do with Shinra (looking back it's a small event but the first time I was a little bit WTH).

FFVIII's most shocking might have been for me when Squall was hit by Edea's ice strike. It's a shame that nothing much came of it, but at the time it was very much of a shock.

I would say when Kefka destroyed the world of balance in FFVI was a shocking moment. Also when Tifa turned into the esper and flew to Zozo screaming was quite shocking.

I went to camp, came back, (this was 2nd grade) and my brother and dad told me Aeris died. Of course, I didn't believe them, after all they are my dad and brother, and I played it myself. I forgot about that, and when it happened, I litterally cried. I wasn't expecting that, even though it had been told to me already.

In Final Fantasy 8, I was a bit shocked to find out Edea and Sid were married.

In 10, when Tidus was told he was a dream, and when Auron told he was unsent.

And 10-2... what shocked me is Square actually was stupid enough to make the game.

Agreed. Very much so. What a godawful game.

most shocking moment was a combanation of the events leading towards Mission 5-2 in FFXI and the events that unfold in the cutsceans for dynamis and leading towards the first time you enter Dynamis- Xcarb.

Don't know...I think it's FF5 when that guy said that he was a girl(Sorry,I aways can't remember names well)It really shocked me.

When I first time play FF VIII Lol... Ending of First disk shock me... Edea Strike squall with ice strike and trust his through his body... Lol i tot main character died so fast T.T Freaky...

When you beat FF8, you see this long movie thingie. It's very trippy when Squall has those funky visions about Rinoa. lol It used to scare me for a while.

And when I was a noob to the FF series, I didn't know about the infamous tonberry and its ability to instantly kill you. XD
