First and foremost I want to say I had no idea what to get into when I decided to go for this movie other than what you see posted in those anime sites. I didn't know that this movie was going to only have a total of one paragraph for a script for the whole 70min. I didn't know it was one of those artsy movies that is so open to interpretation and stuff which makes my head hurt a bit. >.<;;

I thought the whole dark approach of the movie was great which kept the atmosphere up for the whole time although for the most part I got lost with the whole content of the movie. ^^;; The animation was pretty good and I sort of missed the detail that this movie was released in 1985. x_x;;


[SOME SPOILERIFIC QUESTIONS]


So I was just wondering to those who also watched this movie, could anyone help me with some analysis? I mean like what was the significance of those fishermen who hunt those shadow fishes? What was the deal with all those so many statues at that spaceship and why did the girl end up becoming one in the end? Could anyone give me an idea on what the guy represents of some sort? I guess that is that for now... still need to do some net searching for more analysis. ;_;
