Check the link.
http://wii-x2.com/index.php?id=144So, it is how much you were expecting?
I think it's reasonable.
What do you think, comments...

I don't want to pay 7 Euros for a game I already bought once. 3 Euros sounds about as high as I expected it to go. But I suspect only the less popular titles will be priced at 3.
I think... they are greedy. Those games are way past their expiration date.

I was also wondering if All titles from the consels listed will be able to be downloaded. I mean if I go out and try to buy Final Fantasy II & III on the SNES, it'll cost $110. I would rather pay $14.....

What do you mean by "listed"?
Where is the list? And why would they list games that won't be downloadable?

No, no I mean Listed Consels, i.e. NES, SNES, N64, Sega Genesis and Turbo Grafx. It would be nice to see the games that can be downloaded from each.

My bad, I missundesrtood your post. By console I thought you meant the Virtual Console.
(It's consoles btw, not consels)
And it's already confirmed that Rare's games will not be available for the Virtual Console, so I guess it's safe to say that not all games will be available for downlod.
(Because Microsoft owns Rare.)
I'd really like to see a list of games for it though.

Not everyone has played those games though, Hiku. If you dont want to pay for them because you already did, get your old console out and play them.
$5 will prolly be the 8 and 16bit games, with the N64 games being a pricier $10. Though if you find the actualy quote, Mr Iwata was only taking hypothetically.
It's higher than I would have liked, but $5 isn't that bad of a price. Sure beats going out, finding [and paying for] the old cartridge, and if you wanted to play those games, previously that was the only way...The only legal way.
EVERY Nintendo game will be available to download, companies like Nacmo and Sega have already been confirmed as signed up, others will follow. The cost of putting these files on a server is bugger all, and at $5 to $10 a pop, its great business sense to do so.
Rare games aren't there because, like you say, Microsoft own Rare. A few titles like Diddy Kong Racing and Donkey Kong 64 will appear, as Nintendo own those franchises. So any game made by a company now owned by either Sony or Microsoft, wont appear, but outside that, I can see a crap load of games available to download.

Virtual Console New Titles Priced
(Written by: Dennis)
Nintendo of Japan has revealed their targetted pricing for new downloadable titles on the Wii console.
During a press conference in Tokyo, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata revealed that the Virtual Console will not only allow gamers access to classic titles from the NES, SNES, N64, Sega Genesis and Turbo Grafx. Instead, Iwata continues, the Virtual Console will allow gamers to buy and download new titles as well.
The NEW titles will costs between 500 Yen (about Euro 3.50) and Yen 1.000 (Euro 7,00).
Wait, from what I see it only talked about the titles they're going to make in the future. Where did you see anything about the old ones?

I'd prefer to pay a very small amount for games I already own, or nothing at all.
Entering the serial number of my game to confirm that I own it, for example.
But regarding the base price, it's too bad it's 7 Euros for the latest games. I probably won't get as many as I wanted. If any at all.

I think that I'd rather download them all for free onto my computer.
I mean this is a good idea and the price is fair, but honestly I think that it's a waste overall because why the hell are you going to, yet again, pay for games that you more than likely already owned on the SNES ( Unless you're like 15 or something ) or any other system to play on your NEW Nintendo system?
Not my kinda thing, but a good option if you want to waste the money, I guess.

7 Euros...pfft haha.
Well, I am not gonna pay for those. I could get roms for free on the internet. Sorry Nintendo, but 7 euros is a lot, for a game I played when I was 5.

Fair enough, it might be lame to yourself, and I'm not saying you shouldn't think so. But, on the whole, we can agree the service is a good idea, right?
There are plenty of games I didn't play on all the console featured, because I wasn't rich enough to buy every game I wanted back then.
Sure I can get them for free on my PC, but for me nothing beats using a controller for a console game, and sat on my couch, not at my desk. [I await the "I sit on my couch with my laptop" comment]
Though as Cel did point out, these prices mentioned are for new content brought out on Virtual Console. Think Geometry Wars and the like for Xbox Live Arcade.
Smaller developers can make a new 8, 16 or even 64bit game, with the option of using the Wii remote, without worry about publishing costs and huge development costs. To me, that is exciting, this kind of market offers a lot of room for innovation.

Lem, it is definatly a good feature, I agree with that and it is a smart move by Nintendo.
I just don't wanna pay 7 euros for it, it is a bit too much.
And Hiku: "word =P"

That was my understanding also. These are NEW games, created solely for use with the virtual console. They still haven't priced the old ones yet.

I think you guys are right.
It sounds like the new games are the ones priced between 3 and 7 Euros.
Then the price for the retro games are still up in the air. I'm hoping for something lower than this.

Yup not arguing that, it's just not my thing.
I'm a cheap bastard.

Sit on your couch while using a controller to play on your desktop with a 30 inch dell LCD monitor?
And I do sit on my couch with my laptop. lol
