As I've said a lot of times I probably wouldn't be much a Geek if it wern't from my insomnia. I only play a lot of games because when everyone else is asleep I have nothing to do. I'm really not THAT geeky but I do get obsessions over games. I only have one strategy guide and that was bought for me. I guess the most geeky thing I do is visit dreamers so darn regulaly.
I draw the line at wearing Video Game orientated T-Shirts... *shudder*

Not sure why, but I've seem to grown out of gaming lately. That's not to say that I don't game anymore, but just not very often. But when I've got a new game that I like a lot I'll still be playing it with a gamer passion =p . If it's only average, I tend to delay moving on with the game (which is something I rarely did when I was still really into gaming, I'd normally move on with it either way back then).
So I'm not that much of a videogame addict anymore.

I'd probably a bit more into gaming if I had the time and money. My collection is not huge as I resell old ones that I don't play anymore for money, which I use to buy new games. I know a lot about games I've never played or will ever. The video game I've played most often right now is my DDR games.
XD I don't have many vg fan stuff other than soundtracks. Although I do have a moogle and some artbooks. I would never buy game related clothing! XD

I don't really think I'm that nerdy at all. I don't play many games, in fact the only games I've played in the last 2 years have been Resident Evil 4, The Sims 2, FFX & X-2, so to be honest I'm not really a hardcore gamer cos there's never enough time these days. I remember when I was a kid and I played Crash, Tomb Raider, Spyro and the PS1 FFs, those were the days.
Oh and the thought of wearing a VG t-shirt actually horrifies me

I'm more a videogame nerd when it comes to the industry as a whole, than playing them these days.
I have an okay collection, 60+ games for PS2 GameCube and Xbox, and I have most of the games I want for each system. I have 5 or 6 games I've not started yet, and about 3 or 4 I'm halfway through. A few years back, I'd be playing non stop untill both those lists went down to zero.
Recently, I'm more interested in following the news and reading editorials on the industry. I like to keep up to date with what's hot, what's not, all the new stories, industry opinion, fan feedback, all that junk.
I still play games, but wheras back in the day I'd play every day for hours, now I only play an hour or two every few days. Though, some games still draw me in for 8 hour+ sessions.
I find a lot of the effort comes from just starting to play, once I've started I'm good, but for some reason finding that innitial motivation is hard to find. The Wii excites me a lot because it's going to have games you can play for 10minutes at a time.
I guess I'm more of a geek in terms of knowledge than playing time, if that makes sense.

Well, I'm not at all a Video Game nerd really xDD. I haven't touched a game for 6 months until just yesterday. That was only because I had nothing to do because my laptop went kaput and couldn't stand the lag on my desktop PC any longer.
I was more into playing games when I knew more people at school were playing the same games as I was. Now, at college, I find it very hard to talk to people about games which makes me disinterested in even trying to play a game anymore. I know I can always come here to talk about games and motivate myself into playing them again... but meh.
So no, I'm not a video game nerd at all.

I can't say I'm a video game nerd since I've sometimes gone for months on end without touching a game.
However, I do have my video game-pms where I'll dedicate a week or so to playing games and end up being a lil' eh to everything else I usually do. In those moments, I'm usually stricting myself to about one or two games. Everything else just bores me. xD
My game 'collection' would make any gamer cry. It's risen to high numbers, but drastically drops after so long. You never know when someone will decide they need enough cash that they'll sell whatever game they can get their hands on, regardless of whose it is. x_x;;;
But! My nerdy or geeky moments do come a lot. Heck, my game obsessions can blossom with just the tiniest thing. I spied the word promise on Google once and I was hooked on playing Riviera ~The Promised Land~ again as well as keeping the soundtrack on repeat on my Winamp. lol
I have no idea what the heck I am, but nerd is definitely not a word to be used. I'm a gaming dork and sticking to it. =p

I must say I love video games, I have about 4 piles of strategy guides and gaming mags all aorund my room reaching as high up as my bed and couch. I have 257 games total and I've beaten at least 87% of them on all difficulties. When I had a job, I'd go to work and accidentaly call my fellow coworkers video game character names
. I must say, that I'm pretty much an uber nerd. ^^

It's a pastime. Since when was paying money to waste your life a good thing?

What exactly does height and wieght have to do with being a nerd?
Wasting your life is a reletive term. You only live once, so might as well do what makes you happy. If they enjoy playing games and it makes them happy, who are you to say it's wasting thier life?
Get real.

I use to be into the industry and played a lot of games, mostly RPG genre, but lately, I've been losing interest in industry and also playing the games as well. Still, I was never much of hardcore fan of video games at any point. Not much of a collector, not much of know it all, like I am with baseball.
So, no, I'm not a video game nerd.

Not at all.
I sometimes buy a game that I really really want and have been saving up for a long time, but I don't have that same fervor I used to have when I was younger. I'm much more "whatevers, I'm bored" with most of my games when I play it for a prolonged period of time. Just, kind of whatevers now haha. Though I'm still dork enough to go and even play, which is good.

I don't think Nerd is a fitting word, I prefer 'Obsessive maniac'.
I have over 35 Rockman games.
I have spend a total of 80 hours on Rockman.EXE3 -Black Edition
I am 'GOD' when it comes to Rockman Zero, well...at least the first three chapters, I have beaten ALL of them on 100 pts. -that being average for mission totals.
I cleared Rockman Zero in 11 minutes.
I cleared Rockman Zero 2 with ALL forms, elves etc. in 1'13'42
I can beat the first Stage of Rockman Zero 3 blindfolded, and still get 98 points, and I can beat it with just one hand.
I have beaten Rockman 2 - Dr.Wily no Nazo over 1000 times.
I think about Rockman at least 3 hours a day, AT LEAST.
I have beaten Rockman X over 500 times.
I have beaten Rockman X without suffering a single hit.
I have beaten a majority 70~80% of the Classic and X series bosses without sustaining damage.
ELPIS is my jesus, IDOLA is my God.
I know every weapon, boss name, Jap/Eu differance by HEART, from the classic, X, Zero and EXE series.
I can beat Hanumachine in 6 seconds(Rockman Zero)
convinced? and yes, I am insane, Pesmerga can confirm some of the above mentioned things if you doubt this.

I can spend 72 hours in four days on gaming alone.
It's just that I only play CAPCOM created games, they alone grant me the power to escape reality, and enjoy myself for a while.
besides, I don't WANT to play any other games than Rockman, Street Fighter, Biohazard and Devilmaycry, as I could care less.
I did manage to spend 80 hours on Golden Sun/ Ougon no Taiyou -book 2 though. that's wierd....

Hmm... I own a few games, and still have my Super Nintendo from when I was a baby... I used to have a few posters, I have some strategy guides and magazines... When my friends come over, they all sit around and we play games lol.
Yeah, that's really it. I love playing games, but I don't have stuff all over the place. I do sleep by my games, but only because I sleep on the floor lol.

Sadly, I guess a pretty big one. Mainly, I'm a RPG gamer nerd more than anything else. If there is literally nothing for me to do, I'm usually then playing a vidoe game over anything else since it is my biggest form of pastime. Though, I still have a life of course. Friends, family, college, college groups I might join, work and other things usually take a priority over them.

I'm not a VG nerd.I use to play RPG-s here-and there, and sometimes I play survival horrors like sH on the PC.
I have a lot of games, since they used to be cheap before. When I was little,I played mostly anything, and I was more addicted to them.I can still spend a lot of hours playing a good RPG,but I know the limits when to stop.
Games dont attract me with such a passion they used before, but I still enjoy playing good games, and I never waste me time playing junky games, and I only buy a RPG when I have read a reviev about it on dreamers.
I used to have Star Ocean 2 music on my PC before, but since I got a new sistem,I havent downloaded them again. Now I only few SH soundtracks.

Not at all, I can't consider myself as a VG nerd. Yes I do play video games a lot, but that's when I actually like the game, when the story and chaacters are good. It's very hard to find games that actually appeal to me nowadays =/ I find myself replaying some games though, but that's when I'm bored and don't have anything else to do.
I'm actually beggining to be more of an anime nerd thena game nerd, because I can actually enjoy anime and there's so much variety out there, there's always a few that interest me.
Concluding, I'm beggining to loose interest in the games, but I'm still interested in the industry. And as pooh said, I have a class where sport games rule, and since I don't like those very much and I don't have anyone to talk to, I lose interest v_v Of course I have people to talk to about anime and games, but my gaming life is slowly diying out.
