i'm just wondering what general combos of these three things u guys use. i know theres no perfect combination, but i'm kinda anal about getting the most out of my characters.. soo what do u guys think is an optimal combo?

i'm still only on chapter one and only have up to the gunmage dressphere, but i generally use yuna for support with either whitemage/songstress and one random one like gunmage

rikku is a thief and then after im done stealing i switch her between gunner and blackmage or gunmage

paine almost always stays a warrior but sometimes goes to gunner or blackmage

recently ive been regretting not developing yuna's gunner abilities, but i almost never have room for 3 attackers and no supporting character. what do u guys do?

thanks

Well, seeing as how your still in chapter one, I'd advise the following:

Yuna- Master Black Mage, followed by Songstress, Gun Mage, Gunner.
Rikku- Thief, White Mage, Alchemist (Note*Only work on Thief until you get White Mage. Then immediately change).
Paine- Warrior, Dark Knight, Berserker, Samurai.

Accessorys/Grids
-If you've beaten the game at least 3 times, then equip each person with a Ribbon.
-The Songstress/Gun Mage/Gunner (who should have Black Mage mastered) should have a Black Lore equipped, allowing the usage of Black Mage abilties while in the said above.
-The Alchemist (who should have the White Mage mastered) should have a White Lore equipped, allowing the usage of White Mage abilities while in Alchemist.
-The Dark Knight (preferrable Paine; also having Berserker mastered) should have a Nature's Lore equipped, allowing the usage of Berserker abilities while in Dark Knight.

As for general combos, most of the ones I used are based on the presumption that you have mastery over almost all of the above.
*:Dark Knight-Alchemist-Dark Knight
At a High level, each Dark Knight can deal an average 2-4000 damage with Darkness, while only recieving 1000 or so in return. Which is where the Alchemist comes in with her "Mega-Potion ability."
**:Songstress-Misc.-Berserker
Have the Songstress cast Carnival Cancan which doubles the parties hp. The Berserker (who should be at 9999) should use "Hurt," which deals damage to enemy equal to the users HP. Ergo, 9999 damage.

I'll edit the list later to make combos more suitable for you.

Andrico
I used this combo throughout my second game:
Yuna- Black Mage
Rikku- Alchemist
Paine- Dark Knight
I know, not a very original combo, and I don't switch around, but it gets the job done. I forgot how, but have Rikku or Paine have equip "mug so that you can steal from enemies as well. I would have changed it around a little bit, but in this game, it really doesn't matter too much.
Bloo
Lol... My combo thru out is...
Yuna : lady luck
Paine : lady luck
Rikku : Samurai

i just kept em all an warrior ALL the way through the game. I had that grid that had only 2 slots and i had warrior and white mage. and if u had the special dressphere u could change into that with one go!
