The Evil Dead
Recently after moving in with my new roomie, I've had access to the first 3 seasons of the X-Files. I have seen several episodes before this point, as they were very popular as I was growing up, but I've never had a chance to get into the main storyline of the show and really get into the series.

I've enjoyed the first season and half of the second season so far... I don't really care for the main storyline as it's just Mulder freaking out about aliens and their existance but the side stories throughout the seasons involving genetically mutated human beings, werewolves, vampires, and all other sorts of crazy crap is great.

The characters of Mulder and Scully kick ass as well... Mulder always seems to know exactly what is going on around them on their misadventures, and Scully is always waiting to contradict him on every point only to have it turn out that Mulder was right all along.

Eventually my friend is planning on owning the whole series, I believe he will be purchasing season 4 soon enough and from what I remember the show is pretty solid until the dissapearance of Mulder...

But yeah, any fans?

Hell yea, I've always been a huge fan of the X-files. I'm not into alien-orientated stuff, but I absolutely adore the X-files. Like, I absolutely hate Star Trek, etc.

I grew up with the X-files, because my dad always watches it; especially when it was still going. Every new episode, him and I had to sit there and watch it, making everybody else leave the room so we could watch it in peace tongue.gif I think this show is amazing, because as you said Clay, the mutated humans and things biggrin.gif It's awesome. A few episodes always used to scare the crap out of me when I was little. There was a new one a few years back whilst it was still on, I was around 11 or 12 I think, and there was a guy with no legs who got around on this squeaky board with wheels, and he would go around killing people. You would hear the infernal squeak, but not see this guy, and then he would creep closer and closer...oh man that scared me! I love it!

The storyline can be pretty meh sometimes but the creepy stuff, oh yes! I'm a huge fan of horror movies, so the X-files have always been a big part of my life.

I used to watch the X files when I was little.I dislike horror movies and similar, and the X files always creeped me out,but something has always made me to watch them. (maybe the aliens were coming tongue.gif )
I remember once, when I was 10.I came back from sea, lyed down on the bed and I watched the X files for a short time, because I fell asleep, couse I was tired from the trip biggrin.gif

I dont watch it any more, although we still have them on TV. I dont like it any more.

The series was way too scary for me to watch. Then again I wassix or seven when I first watched it. Also the movie scared the crap oout of me. In anycase, the show was very enjoyable. Sucked how everything led up to the very end.

I'm not a huge fan of the X Files, but that's not to say I did not enjoy the series. I use to watch this series when it was still running on FOX. It was an excellent series until Mulder departed. I kinda stop watching the series after Mulder left out of a lack interest. I didn't dislike Doggett, but it's like Scully became the new Mulder while Doggett became the new Scully after Mulder left. Became lame, so just lost interest.

Watch the series here and there since it airs during the late hours of the night on TNT. Last episode I watched was the dude who had a shadow that sucked people in and killed them. That dude that's the main character from Monk was the guy with shadow that sucked people in. You know, the dark matter episode for those that don't know what episode I'm talking about.

The old episodes were really great. Too bad the series kinda fell off track after Mulder left. I wish there was a new series like X Files being air on TV these days, but I don't there is.

Things are getting strange I'm stating to worry, this could be a case for Mulder and Scully! ohmy.gif

Um, yeah. I do like the X-files quite a bit actually. I never watched it from the beggening, but I started watching it when they re-run it. I never did get into it fully, an episode here or there, it was usually on near midnight which wasn't so convenient for me back then.

I do agree with Eva, things did change after Mulder left, but I didn't bother me like it did him, I guess 'cause I hadn't followed it like he had, but the change was noticable. I did prefer Mulder to Doggart though.

It was a great programme, it was mature and had a good mixture of episodic content, character development and ongoing story. There was some really cool stories going on, to be honest I cant remember that much, but I know I was engrossed when I did manage to catch a good few episodes in a row.

The movie though, I thought was rather lame. Seemed they tried to cram too much into too small a space, didn't really pan out.

Might have to download buy the entire series and watch it all. Good stuff.

I have to agree. Mulder was my favourite, and when he left, the show wasn't as good. Dogget was still good, though...but no one can beat Mulder. I've never really liked Scully, and when she tried to take over as Mulder...it just...bleh. As I said in my other post, I followed this all the time. I had to watch every new episode, etc. So...I was very disappointed when Mulder left.

And I also have to agree that the movie wasn't as good as the series. Like Lem said, too much crammed into a small space.

I used to watch it many years ago. I even have an X-Files video game about zombies invading a town.
