Hello, everyone this is a basic thread used for discussing random things. If you lot thing it's a load of
BALLS!then tell me and I'll lock it. O.K.? Have fun!
KeeroTashimi
Oh..kaaay.. *ahem* anyways...I'm in dire need of some help. I need to know the exact numbers for the combination of the safe in the Shinra mansion at Nebielhiem(however you spell that...) And i don't mean the 36 right and what not... those were clues...and so far they simply messed with my mind...(can't seem to figure it out ....(me ish dense at the moment...><)) So yes ...I would like a little help please...... cry.gif .. And thank you.^^
Final Fantasist
keero, that's the code o.o""

do you know how a safe works? They have to put some digits and turn the little thing to the left or right, the 36 right in you have to press right until 36 comes up and press the button.

I can give you the rest and the order you put them in.

1st - 36 right
2nd - 10 left
3rd - 59 right
4th - 97 right

Be prepared, there's alittle something in there, if it's your first time in the Shinra Mansion and you decided to do this, then save. You'll receive a key after that and a very useful materia =p

If it's your first time doing this, tell me that I'll tell you what to do with the key ^^
KeeroTashimi
Oh no.. This isen't my first... And yes i know what the key leads to.^^..But what i meant was the exact numbers...I know how to work the safe....just...It's driving me up the wall. i don't know if it's a glitch or something...but i just can't seem to open the safe.....It keeps on saying.."Failed"...I might be getting my numbers wrong...but i dunno... ..So yeah..I'd like to know the numbers...I know the first three numbers...but the fourth one is just a pain!....>< Anywhos...yeah those numbers are simply the clues...they tell you what direction to go and whatever... but they're not the exact numbers....Like what's the next number after 36?....it's 26 then from their i guess it's 85...right?.. The last number is confusing me....what is it?(and yeah..that was kind of a spoiler.... But hey.. i need to be a little clearer i guess....><; )
Pesmerga
Alright, a couple of notes that might help you out:

first of, do it within the time limit, which is obvious ofcourse.
Second which is most important: DO NOT MAKE ANY MISTAKES
If you have to go 10 left and accidentally end up at 9, it won't open, it must be perfect.
It might be the thing you are doing wrong, other then that I don't know. also, if you are at 36, and need to go 10 left, it doesn't mean that you have to go to 26, but to 10. Just making sure you understand.
KeeroTashimi
AHH! it makes sence now!..Oh geez...I have been going about it all wrong then....>< Thank you! _Pesmerga_
...Geez i feel like a small idiot here...><

That part was annoying the first time through, what was shinra doing hiding a two faced monster in a safe anyway? My point is, that boss gave me a lot of trouble (I am always underleveled)

Hi i need some help here, i have knights of round, hades, and the materias i need in lvl 4.

Because you need the strategy, it's not all about the lvls and the lvl of the materia.

Heck I beat Emerald at 55 and Ruby at 65.

Anyway, I don't remember the actual strategy myself, but I'll get some info on gamefaqs.

And please, anyone who has doubts about I-IX post here: http://www.rpgdreamersforum.com/index.php?...=38926&st=0

Now that's out of the way: (again, these isn't my work, kudos to SoulEdge, taken from gamefaqs)

Emerald Weapon

There are 2 ways to prepare to battle Emerald Weapon. The fast and
easy way is to equip underwater materia, knights of the round, final
attack, phoenix and 2 mimes. Equip underwater to whoever, Knights of the
round to anyone, the 2 mimes to your two other character and the final
attack and phoenix to whoever as long as they are linked. The long, hard
but most beneficial way is to attach Master Command, 2 Quadra Magics,
Master magic, Double cut, Master summon, W-Magic, W-Summon, W-Item, Final
Attack, Phoenix and Underwater. With the long way, fire 4x Demi twice, and
mime. When needed, restore health. Then repeat. With the short way, Knights
of the round and mime. When need, restore health. When you defeat him, you
will get Earth Harp. A challenge, Try to morph him. Emerald can be found
underwater next to Junon. He is the big swimming thing. Use the sub to bump
into him.

Ruby Weapon

The way I used to beat Ruby is very unorthodox. First I equipped
W-Summon, MP Turbo linked to Master Summon, Master Command, Elemental on
the armor, Fire linked to it and Ribbon to any character with their
ultimate weapon. Then I went and fought at another battle near Ruby. I am
not insane, but I killed the other characters who I did not equip the
materia on. I went on to fight Ruby. First when he extended the tentacles,
I cast Hades on the tentacles and Hades on Ruby. When they were stopped, I
used Knights of the Round on Ruby twice until he began moving. Then I used
Hades again to freeze both of them. I did this until he retracted his arms.
Then I kept doing Knights of the Round until I beat him. He gives you
Desert Rose. A challenge, try to morph him. Ruby can be found in the desert
surrounding the Golden Saucer. You can get to him by Highwind or Gold
Chocobo. He is the little red person in the desert.

The first time you can open the safe, you are supposed to be underleveled, I think everyone is.

About the Emerald tactic, he can be beaten in 1 min and like 18 secs or so...I can upload a vid for those we are interested.
I downloaded it with DC++ once.

I know how to do it, and so does Athrun. Equip

Counter+Mime, Counter+Mime, Counter+Mime, Counter+Mime,
Counter+
Mime, Counter+Mime, Counter+Mime, Counter+Mime

This must all be equipped on Barret.

It is the Command Counter, that counters using the linked Command Materia, not Counter Attack.

Use Barret's Ungar Max (limit level 3, number 2) and then wait for Emerald to counter and then you'll use it 8 times! Sit back and watch.
Pesmerga
Yup, and I have a vid of the same guy with FF VIII and IX aswell, so there xD. I still have something you don't know =P.

Other then that, I don't have anything to discuss about FF VII. We have discussed many things already and I don't wanna start them all over.
Sadistic Angel
Jenova was the only decent thing in the game except for a minute amount of the cutscenes. It was good for a one-time playthrough unless you really like a character (I do, go Jenova) and if you don't, toss this thing somewhere for a really rainy day when acid is falling from the sky because even average rain is more fun to go out and enjoy than playing this game a second time. I don't know if it's the lack of character development or sensibility all throughout the entire cast or the horrifically poor graphics or simply a general sense of this game sucking but I don't ever wanna play it again unless there is a good reason. I won't ever just pick up this game for the hell of it which I would ever other game in existence pretty much with the exclusion of Superman 64.

Well this is a matter of opinion. Myself, I love this game, and this thread is for discussing things not offending some FF7 fans with your FF7 abuse tongue.gif so please post something creative smile.gif

Just ignore him, he's given me about 1000 reasons why Final Fantasy 7 sucks, but it hasn't swayed my opinion happy.gif (still my favorite game)
Also, as for the way to be Emerald, thanks, I didn't know that way, and I shall try it sometime. I just need to get 8 mimes lol.
