Another thread by Kronik? What an attention whore, I bet he's here to castrate our eyes with more of his #### sigs.

HOW DARE YOU =0

Actually, I am here because well. Vinsfeld Is trying to teach me the finer points In photoshop..wtf?..Finer points?...You mean there's more of a point to photoshop other than bludgeoning It with BIG ##### BRUSHES?

So, let's face facts about me and photoshop. I'M THE MAD SUXX0R. And because of that, I'm flexing my mind muscles to every aspect that photoshop has to offer. (Except patterns, gonna get Into those later) So, avoiding the brush tool as much as I could I went through a few trials and errors.

My first attempt at the burn tool.

Don't ask me what 1943 has to do with a red moon, because I couldn't tell you.

Heal Brush

You're time must end, teh stoopid title I know. But I love this one. The bullet, the blood, the creative dents. (Creative?) Doesn't take great mind power to see where I was coming from.

And these I just finished two minutes ago.

Using..LAYERS, WTF?

This one only had two brushes. The rest Is just taking the brush layer and then blending It onto the background. A new experience for me, never used layers before. Sad, I know.

Gradient overlay.

So, this one Is once again the same picture but with a different overlay. Gradient does the trick, I tells yas.

So, that's pretty much It for right now, going to keep messign around In photoshop see what I come up, I'm finally starting to use different brush modes, It's kinda Interesting. Anyways, I'll update frequently with stuff I've learn and done. Well..anything that's worth while.

You should change your sig so it says "ONLY FUGGIN WORKS IN WINAMP". tongue.gif
Besides rapid expirimentation, you should start trying out filters as well, sketch filters, style filters, and the best for "abstract backgrounds", distort filters. Now you can duplicate layers (ctrl + j, to do it quickly), do some random distorts, blend and decrease/increase opacity as you see fit. You can also use filters on brushing, patterns, and even borders to make them more interesting.

Another thing to try out (for fun) is the fade tool. Its tricky, because you can only use it immediately after you use a certain effect (be it whatever).
But blending modes are your freinds.

Not sure what else to say, besides good luck. You can also try gradients on the "difference" blending mode, for good fun.

interesting, I like the red moon one the best, but i agree with Vins on alot, I don't do alot of sig work myself as of late but you really should experiment with more options such as the fade tool, the images opacity and glow effects and such. no to mention the shadow lighting effects and the background layering behind images.

Be Creative~ biggrin.gif

hahaha, that's so awesome that he's teaching you this stuff. It's like a personal teacher, but possibly even cooler.

You should totally listen to whatever he suggests you to do, but remember to not make it so that it's like a complete replica of his style. (Like, where your sigs don't even look different from his line.) The practice with the burn tool is really nice. I love the Lunar look to it. (: The heal tool practice is also interesting, though I could swear that brush in the middle looks familiar. Where did you get it? It's been bugging me to figure it out hahaha.

THe last two I don't care for as much. But at least you're getting a kick out of it and with Tony helping you, you ought to know all the works easily. (:
