Midnight Star
Yep, call it stupid timing or whatever, but I just bought a Gamecube. I couldn't be seperated from Skies of Arcadia any longer (God, I love that game)!! So Do you guys/gals have any suggestions for any future games for me to try?
real_1)eviance
A bit late there eh? Yeah, I know you know it but I'd still like to rub it in XD. Anyways, my suggestions would be games like Star Fox Adventures and ofcourse Resident Evil 4.

Star Fox Adventures has got to be one of the best adventure game on the GC that I've ever played. It's really different when compared to it's own franchise. You travel on foot and aquire pretty cool abilities with a magical staff. That may not sound appealing, but trust me it is.

For RE 4, I haven't played it but I know it's the goriest, and one of the most innovative games on the GC. Oh and for party play get Smash Bros. Melee......Need I say more?

P.S. DO NOT...I REPEAT TO NOT BUY ANY MARIO PARTY GAMES!!!!!!.

If you have a PS2, don't bother with the GC version. PS2 has all that the GC had, and a bunch of extras. I played it on Cube, but would have waited to play the PS2 version if I knew there'd be extra stuff.

But into your question, my list of suggestions from personal experience...

1. Tales of Symphonia

2. Baten Kaitos

3. Zelda: Windwaker

4. Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes (only if you find it cheap, not much more than a few days of gameplay or less if you've played the original MGS)

5. Super Smash Brothers Melee

6. Mario Sunshine

7. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle

8. The Metroid games

And that's about all I can name for right now. Will add more when/if I think of them, but I'm sure others will have enough of their own suggestions.

Well, everyone just about named all the big games for the GC but Ill try and name a couple:

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
Melting screens, imaginary enemies, false game endings, and your TV apparently shutting itself off. You never know what’s real...

Animal Crossing
Nintendo had the idea of putting animals together in a village … and that’s it, and still this game is extremely fun.

Beyond Good & Evil

Viewtiful Joe
Nike SB
The Metroid games, if you like Zelda, they have those games. Super Smash Melee, Tales of Symphonia. Resident Evil 4, along with all the other resident evils. Animal Crossing is fun. And I guess all the multi platform games too. Hah.

The only problem with the PS2 version of RE4 is that it had load times, whereas the GC version had none, from what I saw. Easily overlookable, though. ^^

I agree with most of what Josh suggested. I wouldn't know about Baten Kaitos, since I never played it, but I heard it's pretty solid if you don't mind card battling and bad voice acting. xP

Animal Crossing was suggested before me, but there's more to it, of course, than just Animals in a Village. It's pretty much you trying to make a living in the game and giving you lots of things to do in the process. There isn't a story at all. Pretty cute and quirky game, but I found it addicting. <3

Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life is a pretty good game, depending if you're a fan of the series. More focuses on building a family as opposed to crops. It's cute, though. Now that both versions are out, you can choose whether or not you want to play through the game as a boy or girl. I got further in the boy's version, but the girl's seemed to have more things for you to play with. Like changing outfits! xDD

I heard that Magical Melody was pretty good, too, but I never got a chance to play it.
Mushroom
I can only really recomend the games I have, that are exceptionally fun. Some of them have been mentioned but to enforce the point happy.gif :

Mario Kart: Double Dash - If you've played the others you know what to expect but you know an updates always fun. I honestly didn't find the "double" part that much of a factor in the game but then again I wasn't great at it XD Good multiplayer fun though.

Donkey Konga!!! : biggrin.gif I LOVE this game, I honestly think its so fun. There's a good mix of songs, traditional Nintendo stuff and charty stuff, and a sequel that provides even mroe songs but imo when you play multiplayer this game goes beyond the songs, its jsut so funny and addictive, its provided me plenty of laughs! There's a bunch of throwaway extras that you can purchase to keep you amused but the core of this game is exactly what you, and tis what you get; like DDr etc. but far more fun with the bongos imo.

Metroid Prime: A very smooth enjoyable game, I'm not very good at it, find it a bit ahrd to ge tinto that zone of fps/action that it has going on but after an hour or so I can get lost in it.

Starfox Adventures : lmao ok, its true, this game rips Zelda off in many ways. But hey; is that necessarily a bad thing? There aren't that many new Zelda gamers flying about on the GC anyway and if you liked Starfox, you ge tto revisit old characters. Good fun.

LoZ: The Wind Waker : I don't know where I am on this. Definetely worth picking up oppose to not buying, but its very gameplay driven; tbh I expected a little more from the story, but hey, thats not really LoZ's point so its a bit of a pointless criticism. Once you get warp the world really opens up from the slow boat sections and there's plenty to do and explore. Lovely design as well imo.

Tales of Symphonia : Excellent! By far the best rpg on GC without a doubt imo. Although it was released on ps2 in japan its exclusive to GC here, and is very much worth buying the console for alone, given the pricing of the GC these days. I finished the game in about a week but I have top admit I was up 24/7 addicted to it, so you should get a decent length out of it otherwise. Very enjoyable plot imo only wish it didnt overshadow its twists so much, I would have been genuinely suprised many times if they had not many each twist so obviously jsut prior to it happening. Addictive battlesystem too. A must!

Super Monkey Ball: Again I'd say this is really fun and is basically laods of little mini games and puzzles loooped together while travelling as a monkey. in a ball. haha. Really picks up with multiplayer but it keeps me pre-occupied otherwise too!

Resident Evil 4: I haven't played the PS2 version so I can only talk about this on its own merits; which means I can only say good things. Imo the best installment of the series so far after a few years not doing much. Very good and again, possibly worth purchasing the console for were it exclusive.

Thats all I have for my GC sad.gif plenty more I want, but I'd recomend all of those

Hey, Mario Party 4 was damn good. The rest sucked really bad, but 4 was fun.

Anyway, I don't really have much to recommend that hasn't already been said, but I'll just give a list right hurr. Overlook any genres you aren't particularly interested in.

RPGs:
-Tales of Symphonia
-Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
-Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
(I have yet to play Baten Kaitos, so no opinion on that one.)

Adventure:
-Metroid Prime+2 (I still consider them adventures because they still play like Metroid games, even if they are in first person. =p )
-Zelda: Wind Waker

Damn Good Party Games:
-Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
-Super Smash Bros. Melee
-Mario Party 4
UltimaWeapon
These Have been said before but:

Tales Of Symphonia
Fire Emblem : Path Of Radiance
Harvest Moon : A Wonderful Life
Harvest Moon : Magical Melodies
Zelda : Four Swords
Zelda : Windwaker
Metroid Prime
Eternal Darkness : Sanity's Requiem

Heh, yep, pretty late but who cares?! You got it, it's great.

I think probably one of the best games on the Cube is Tales of Symphonia. But other good ones include:

Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean. The voice overs are terrible, but it's a great game

You have Skies of Arcadia Legends

Starfox Adventures is a classic

All the Prince of Persia games are good

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles is pretty nice

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is like a cult classic

Super Smash Brothers Melee is a must for any Cube owner

Legend of Zelda: The WindWaker

And if you can get your hands on a copy of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: Master Quest. They're pretty rare, but they're gems.
Pesmerga
People always bash load times. I'd still say get RE4 for the PS2. You have more scenes, extra characters, more weapons and things the GC version didn't have. Screw the load times if you get those extras.

- Super Smash Brothers Melee: It is a fun 4 player game and enjoyable to play with friends. Definately a good game to play.

- Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes. Only if you don't have the original PSX version and you can't find it or whatever. This game isn't as good as the original, but it is nice to play.

- Tales of Symphonia. the base lines are the same as FF X, there are still many diffirent aspects and the game has some good moments.

- Soul Calibur II. A very good fighting game, if you are in to those games. The controller isn't ideal for this game and the PS2 controller works better, but the game is still pretty good.

- Baten Kaitos: Well I hate the game, I played it untill a certain plot twist and immediatly turned it off. But quite some people seemed to like it, so appearantly it is a good game.
Midnight Star
Well, I have the original Zeldas and I'm finishing those first, I will then replay Skies of Arcadia and then ToS. I actually have Twin Snakes, that's on the list somewhere outthere. ohboy.gif
