(Vague Outline)

howdy folks, I’ve got a new rp im planning, and I want everyone who is currently active, to put some input, or at least share an idea. I’ll give you the basic story, etc but beyond that, I haven’t done much. I want to know what people think before I get to far into it to the point where changing one thing, means changing the whole thing.

Heroes Of the East.

My planned rp is set in the medieval times, of course, and follows a group of people battling evil, and there own selves. It's based loosely on any number of adventure books. There is at least 5 people needed for this rp to work. Im trying to make this a unique rp with an interesting idea. The main person in the story will be a youth, approx. 16-17 years of age. This character can be either male or female, and will be played by any of the volunteers to the rp. It will follow this person as they come into their own power. They will be the person a fabled prophecy will speak of, someone who will bring justice to the world and free the inhabitants of the lands from evil. I would prefer this person to be played by an experienced rp'er.

The other people to join the rp will become this persons companions, and guardians. The Warrior, The Rogue, The Archer, The Wizard, The Guide. These are all roles I will need to be filled. The roles are fairly simple, and a fairly well know to those who roleplay

The warrior, living a life of battle, unparalleled in physical combat. wielding a battle axe, a broadsword, a shield and sword, it doesn’t matter, anything she uses brings fear into the hearts of all who face her.

The rogue, sneaking along the shadows, wary for his next target, or those that would follow him. An assassin with no loyalties but to himself, or just a mischieful rogue, charming and quick witted.

The Archer, Living a life as hunter in the forest with his faithful animal companion, or simply on a battlement, bored with shooting the passing birds out of the sky. Has an amazing ability with a bow an arrow. Said to be able to thread a needle from a hundred paces.

The wizard, with a simple word she can bring you to her knees, begging her to release you from whatever enchantment she has unleashed upon you. She can sing the birds out of the trees, and can render the world with lightning if she saw fit. whatever she does she commands your respect.

The Guide, is someone everyone knows. That familiar face who has an answer for everything, knows every back alley, exit, and road in the Eastern Lands. He can get you out of any trouble, for a price of course. This role is often associated with the rogue.

Alright folks. Time for a new RP. This is NOT a Free-Form. For all you new to this means there are rules, and there is common logic/sense in place in the World. It is, what we in the know, like to call A Structured Role-Play. Experience is something required in this Rp. If I get a hint that you haven't got a clue as to what your doing, you won't be allowed. Also, this is a grown up Rp. this does not mean there is to be vulgarity, or any sort of writing of that nature, but merely that the world is for grown ups. There are whores, there are rapes, there is murder, there is all that stuff. If this bothers you, don't apply. If you don't like it, don't apply. It also doesn’t mean you HAVE to write about the worlds more darker parts, but simply that people MAY. Simple? Good. Now, for the good stuff.

I have also borrowed heavily from my favorite series of books, the Belgariad and Mallorean.

The Guide wandered the streets. He knew them all, every twist, every turn. Every back alley he knew, what lay behind every door he knew. The road to the left led to the Church, where the people prayed. He looked up ahead to see the familiar bush sitting at the entrance to a back alley. As far as he knew the bush never grew, nor did it ever fade. It was just a small bush, little more then a few leaves on some twigs. But to everyone who knew its significance, it was a shining beacon. Leading the few down a small alley. Scarcely wide enough to fit. It went like this for 50 yards or so, but then it opened up into a small courtyard. There were people sitting down on stone seats. Drunks lying on the ground, whores showing off their wares to anyone who would buy. He looked beyond all, although he allowed his eyes to linger on one or more of the more fetching ladies. He regretfully turned his eyes to a large door sitting at the end of the courtyard. A single torch burned next to the door.

He strolled towards it comfortably. This was his lair. A place he'd spent more nights waking up in then he remembered getting too. He knew every patron if not by name, then by face at least. He opened the door and stepped in. The cheery little fire snapped and crackled in the corner, a large boar roasting above it. He knew he'd be getting a plate of that. The enticing smell reminded him just how long it had been since he had a decent meal. A soldiers rations, while they may keep you alive, certainly don't fill you up in the way only a plateful of roast pork would.

He turned and looked over at the bar. There were the usual patrons there. Hen, the Madam of the nearby whore-house. Hands, was a sergeant in the Royal Army. Which at the moment, was in tatters. There was Garret, this taverns Syndicate member. They were the only few of any real importance. The rest were the assorted workers, thieves, murderers, that anyone would expect from the place. There was one face there he didn't know. An old man, ancient by any ones terms. There were several people gathered around him, listening intently on whatever it was he was saying. The Guide motioned to the young girl behind the bar, Lady, who had just started working there, for two drinks. She eyed him up and down suspiciously until he showed her a two silvers for the drinks. Her face lit up and she handed the drinks to him. He took them and handed her the silver and his thanks.

He made his way over to the old man. 'Talking gives a man quite a thirst' He said as he offered the drink. The old man thanked him and drank fully from the cup. He then wiped his mouth and continued telling his story...

'Now, as I was saying before the nice fellow gave me the drink, before The Great Sundering, which I'll be getting too don't you be worrying about that, The world was a peaceful place. The great Gods BELDA and PELA sat in the heavens, quite possibly ignoring what was asked of them by us common folk no doubt, Watching the world go by. Funny thing about time, see, time to them is not what it is to us, they watch a tree grow and fall and to them its no more than You or I watching the sun set. Quite often, they are asleep. One sleeps, the other watches the world.

'Now, the people prayed to both Gods evenly, but some, hoping get more from them, prayed to one separately. It was the PELA they chose to pray to. At first PELA ignored them, but soon, the reapeating prayers to Her started to tear on Her. She could not stand to ignore them any longer. The cries of anguish as a crop failed to produce. The prayers of a child asking that his mommy be better. The cry of a Serf as he was flogged for stealing a loaf of bread for his wife. The screaming of a young woman as she was being raped, praying for death. She Could not stand it anymore. Always She had been indifferent, choosing instead to leave things to their natural coarse. As was Her Brothers will.

'But now that Her Brother BELDA was Asleep and She was left alone to deal with it all. She couldn't stand it. For although She is a God, She is still a Woman, and, well, you know how they are.' This brought a few laughs from the men, and some stern looks from the women. 'Well, anyway, PELA, being a woman and all, decide that She just had to do something about it all, so She came down from the clouds to do something.'

The gathered crowd were now dead quiet, waiting on the old man's every breath.

'Well, what happens next is the stuff the legends are made of. PELA came down on Her Thunder. Which, for us simple folk, is a fancy horse that's louder than a crack of lightning. So, She come's down on this horse, and begins to set things right. Righting wrongs. Fixing all the bad things and that sorta thing. It isn't long before the people forget altogether about Her Brother, BELDA. Prayers were offered to only PELA, and She was pleased, the people of Her land lived prosperously for the next 100 years. She even Helped build a small city. It wasn't exactly a large city by any stretch of the imagination, since it was made for the wizards and priests and the like. This place was called Bethel. The Holy City. People would travel for days and weeks from all over the world to visit and to pray to PELA. People still do of course, but the ruins hardly do the Holy City any justice.

'Anyway, throughout this golden period in history, there was a small country near the edge of the known world. Beyond this country, there was nothing. The country was called Arid. The major city, if it could even be called that, was, as we all know, Worcest. It was about three days travel from The Holy City..'

'Hang on.' Interrupted one man. 'I've been to the Holy City, and Worcest, and there is no way that's a three day trip. It takes months!' He sat back down as people hushed him to quiet.

'Well, if you would let me continue, you'll soon see that it all get's explained during The Great Sundering. So, before I was interrupted. The people of Arid were always deeply religious and took the praying to PELA solely, and not to BELDA as well, as a deep offense. That they would forsake one God for the other. So, they in turn started praying to Belda alone, and this, pretty soon, woke BELDA up. Now, I'd imagine He wouldn't have been too impressed, what, with everyone praying to PELA instead of Him. So, he in turn came down to do something about. He came to the people of Arid, and thanked them for continuing to pray to Him. BELDA then decided He would take the people of the barren land, and make them His own. Giving them what they wished. Answering their prayers, helping them. And all was well, for a time.

'But, as anyone can tell you jealousy is a funny thing. Once the slightest jealous thought enters your mind, it festers. Growing larger and larger till it's all that consumes you. Now, it was painfully obvious that PELA had a much larger following, and this rubbed BELDA the wrong way. He kept thinking about and thinking about. He had decided if he was going to help people, and have them pray to Him. Which, think about it, he never really wanted in the first place, That's jealousy for you. He would have all people pray to Him.

'Now PELA was aware of what Her Brother was doing, but She didn't think about it, instead, She decided to simply help those that prayed to Her. But, BELDA just kept getting more and more crazy. I mean it. Imagine when you were all kids, your brother or sister had something of yours, you hadn't used it for ages, but the second they took it, you just HAD to get it back. Same thing here. Even though He never really wanted them in the first place, He just had to have them. Eventually. He went to PELA's Holy City and demanded that She give over all Her people to Him. A pretty absurd request by anyones thought, but, BELDA was almost wholly insane now. PELA calmly told him that Her people weren't really Hers, and that they had chosen Her freely.

'This right nearly set BELDA off right there and then, but He didn't. He merely told Her that Since He was the oldest, they were His by right. Now, from what I understand, the two Gods are possibly the same age, and that the universe quite possibly willed them into existence. Maybe They were two Wizards that stumbled upon immortality, whatever it was, They both came across as being the same age. The main difference was that BELDA had a more controlling nature, and PELA simply was weaker willed, so She submitted.

'Well, this did anger PELA so she looked at Belda, and told him, "You can leave now, MY people wish to pray to ME." However old They were or however God-like, They were still siblings, and could be very childish to one another. This, set off BELDA, and He yelled at HER, screamed at Her, and then stormed off. He jumped on His Thunder, and it seemed He would leave. But, he didn't. He hovered above the city and with just one thought, he pointed at it, and destroyed it.'

There were several gasps of amazement throughout the assembled crowd.

'Now, it isn't certain just how He did it, some say he sent fiery balls down to the city and destroyed it that way. Some say He just destroyed it with just His mind for, as a God, He would have that power. And some say, that He shook the very ground underneath Bethel and shook it until it was destroyed. Nothing is really certain, but what we can be sure of, is that something pretty big happened to the city, and now, all that's left is ruins.

'Now, a woman with a temper is one thing, and we all know what an angry women can do. Imagine what a God could do. It shudders me to think, and to recall, this next part. What BELDA did, right set off His sister. After losing hundreds of Her followers She decreed that He, nor His followers would ever step foot in the Eastern Lands again. Naturally BELDA scoffed at this, and wondered what She could do. And she showed him. PELA raised Herself above the now ruined city of Bethel and, sundered the very Earth itself.'

The entire crowd gasped this time.

'Far off to the west towards the land of Arid there was a mighty roar. Great winds came rushing east carrying with them seas of sand that carried across all the Eastern Lands even to the mighty shores of Arnor. Yes, that far. The world shook even greater than it did when BELDA destroyed Bethel. After what seemed like days the world finally began to stop shaking, and apart from being very dusty and a lot of things fallen down, the world looked much the same. It was then the two Gods fell down from the sky. The prayers and cries of thousands upon thousands of people dying filled their minds with torment. BELDA got up and turned towards the land of His people. He jumped on His Thunder and flew towards them as fast as he could. What He discovered was a vast sea of sand. The land of Arid had always been a dry, desolate place. But what He saw was beyond His belief.

'With PELA's single thought She had created this never ending ocean of sand. It stretched beyond what anyone could see. Giant mountains of sand had grown, vast trenches that reached far into the darkness below now covered the entire distance between the Holy City and the land of Arid. BELDA rushed back to Worcest to find the city itself in ruins as well. Only a few handful survived the Sundering. He was near destroyed over the loss of His people.

'PELA Herself, near went mad. The death of all those people ate into Her fragile mind and soul, and She very nearly ended Her life right there. But She didn't instead She went into slumber. Some say She still lies under the ruins of Bethel, some say She left this planet for good, never wanting to return. But whatever happened, PELA left, and Belda, He stayed and continued to nurture His people.

'Now, that was near 500 years ago, and no-one has really seen or heard from both of the Gods. The few that have been through the Sundered Lands and onto Worcest, like the young fellow who interrupted me before find only a War-like people, who butcher all who come near. You my friend, are actually quite lucky to have been to Worcest and lived to tell the tale. For very few have.

'So, like I was saying, this was close to 500 years ago. Many people believe that one day PELA will return, and when She does, BELDA will return to seek His revenge, and to force the world to bow to Him. No-one knows when this will be, but some believe that a Chosen One, will herald the return of PELA and BELDA.'

The old man bowed his head indicating he was finished. The crowd started clapping for his tale and asked for more.

'Well, I don't have any more tales of such grandeur, but I do know a great many tales, tell me, have you all heard the one of the Knight and the Chambermaid?'

The Guide turned to the filled plate in front of him. He looked up to see the Lady, from earlier standing infront of his table with a winsome smile on her face. He looked at her and winked, motioning her to sit down with him.

The Eastern Lands.

This is where the beginning of the story will take place.

Arnor.
The people of Arnor are a sea-going people. Much like the Vikings of old. They spend a lot of the time at sea, and have built the greatest ships known to man. They are a stocky people, standing roughly about five and a half feet, very tough, very hard-going people. The lands of Arnor are rocky and harsh. The only relief is the coastline that stretches from the north to the south. The major city is Arakon.

Dokar.
The lands of Dokar are very fertile. This is primarily a farming country. Farms dot the country side and the people are your average farmers. They are kind, quiet and orderly. A great sense of duty. It is situated in the lands east of Arnor, and north of Orimor, and to the east of Arid. (basically smack bang in the middle) The major city is Domanar

Orimor.
Orimor is a small country. It is on the southern skirts of the Eastern lands. To the south of Orimor are vast green plains, some people say that there are more countries way off to the south, but no-one who has traveled beyond, has returned. Leading to the general belief that it is in fact, the edge of the known world. The people of Orimor are a superstitious group of people. They were one of the last countries to begin praying to PELA and since the atrocities at Bethel, they have since given up on both Gods altogether, instead choosing to place their beliefs in the Mother Earth. They spend most of their time tending to their livestock, horses, cattle, All of the best livestock in the Eastern Lands comes from the fertile plains of Orimor. To own an Ormimor horse, means you are either very rich, or looking to get your hands cut off. There is no major city in Orimor, the people don't stay in one place long enough to build one.

Arid.
There is little known of Arid. It is a dry mountainous, desert. Before the Great Sundering it was a peaceful, although secretive place. But the Sundering changed all that. The tales of folk who have survived the Sundered Lands gives very little information, they tell of murderous barbarians, slaying all they see.

The Holy City.
The ruins of Bethel are situated near the western border of Dokar. It is an independent city now. People till come to pray, but there isn't anything of a built up population. There are many tents, some small stores only selling the bare requirements to survive.

The Races.

Only one. Humans. I know I may very well be breaking one of the cardinal rules of creating rp's. But I didn't really see the need for more than one race. Nor, do I really have the patience to write three more histories of all the different races. So there are only humans, no elves, no dwarves, no night elves, wood elves or any of it. Sorry to disappoint you, but I find humans the most preferable, they are all the same, bar physical ability and what-not, and they all have the same mortality, if one dies, they stay dead, a sword to the heart kills them, there is no sharing of hearts, no forever linking souls so that one may live etc, etc. So there it is.

Profiles.

I want proper profiles people. AT LEAST a 2 paragraph history.

Name: (try to keep the names sensible, I don't want showy names, blade, fire, ice-man, names like that, these are all normal people, simply chosen by prophecy to save the world)
Age: (No children. That simple. 18+ If you are applying for someone who isn’t one of the roles, you need a good reason as to why you wanna be a kid or young person.
Weight:
Height:
Sex:
Eye Color:
Hair Color:
Birthplace: (Which country were you born in. No one is to be born in Arid. Make up city names if you want, but remember the major city names.
Physical Description:
Personality: (try to use logic. as much as people like to do it, I don’t want the standard ice-cold personality disorder thing happening, people need to be able to react with the other rp'ers.)
Weapons: (only if your role calls for one, and only what your chosen roll would use. so, the rogue wont be using a two handed axe, or a massive sword, the warrior wont be using a magic staff, etc, common sense needed.)
History: (remember, 2 paragraphs, at least)
Role: (this is what role your going for, warrior, rogue etc, if you want to go for the chosen one, id prefer you to be experienced, or at the very least have a decent bio)

The Roles.

The Roles are The Warrior, The Rogue, The wizard, The Archer, and The Chosen One. Here is a brief guideline if your looking to play as one of them.

The Warrior. The warrior can be anything that a warrior would traditionally be. A mercenary, an experienced vet in the royal army. That sort of thing. There can also be holy warriors if you are that way inclined to play. Warriors who follow the Wisdom of PELA, they help all they can, They are holy people but will not flinch if asked to kill, as long as its for the Goddess PELA.

The Rogue. Certainly if I wasn’t playing The Guide, I’d be playing the Rogue. They are always so much fun to play. Please keep in mind I want people to experiment with their chosen roles. The rogue doesn’t have to be the assassin, sneaking in the shadows. They be can be a charming rogue who’s quick with his hands, and often finds them in another’s purse. The rogue can be a royal spy, anything they want to be. as long as they fit that general roguish character.

The Wizard. The wizard will have to be someone old. Im sorry, but I don’t like teenagers wielding magic. The wizard has trained his/her entire life, and possibly several more lifetimes to learn the secrets of the arcane. They can be the royal family's spell weaver, or they can be a recluse who has perhaps stumbled upon it all and studied it. I also don’t mind if you say they discovered a way to look young, but they have to be old, like 60+.

The Archer. The archer can be anyone, just as long as they are proficient with a bow. They could be an archer in the army, a hunter, anything like that. if you do decide to be a hunter, I don’t mind if you have a pet or something like, its not unusual.

The Chosen One. Ah, the chosen one. id like this particular character to be played by someone who is experienced. mostly because this is who the story will revolve around, and, its who will someday rule the eastern lands, or the world if they are that way inclined. and, should this rp finish, and there be a second part, they will be the main character for the next one.

And I’d like to remind you that your characters can be evil, they can be sinister, they can h ave ulterior motives. if you don’t want too, it's ok, but I wouldn’t mind a bit of evil here and there.
Flynn
Name: Francis Flynn Cole. (Goes by Flynn.)

Age: 20

Weight: 164

Height: 6 feet.

Sex: Male.

Eye Color: Green.

Hair Color: Brown.

Birthplace: Arakon.

Physical Description: Flynn often lets his hair grow long, and always has it parted to the side. He frequently wears brown and green as an attempt to camouflage himself from people or animals far away. He carries a quiver on his belt along with a pouch in which he keeps his treasures. He is always accompanied by his trusty friend Min the female Chaffinch. Min is never too far from Flynn, but answers to his whistle.

Personality: Because Flynn moved to a small village in Dokar when he was 11, he did not adopt the traits of most people from Arnor other than the lust for sailing. He’s very outgoing in front of people he trusts and is always cheerful, but is quiet around strangers. When he’s in a good mood (Which is most of the time) he always has a large smile. But don’t let this deceive you, when it comes to guarding or fighting, he is quite serious. He also loses himself in books from time to time.

As for his friend Min, she is brave and smart for a bird not much larger then your fist. She often gets herself into trouble because of her bravery, and tricks her way out of it.

Weapons: A Bow and three Daggers.

History: Flynn was born near a port in Arnor, and followed his dad on very short trips at a very young age, and at an even younger age, began training with a bow. But one day, when he was 10, his father went to deliver goods, and shortly after went missing. Then his mother and him moved east to Dokar to farm.

He spent most of his time on the farm until people in a nearby village noticed how skilled he was with a bow. He then became somewhat of a mercenary: being hired to protect people, or hunt wolves threatening livestock. On one of these jobs, at the age of 15, he found a lone egg before a wolf cave. He took it back and that is how Min was born into a friendship.

He deemed himself a hunter.

Role: “The Archer”

Huh, that itself was pretty fun. laugh.gif
Well, that's my profile, is it okay? I could possibly add a bit more to History because I think I can get more of a background out of this character.
TsUkAsA
very nice flynn, i really like your character. you could expand a little perhaps on your character, just so i know a little bit more about him. but otherwise, i cant see any dramas with you being the archer. nice job
Flynn
What should I add, More in the Physical Desctiption, Personality, or History?
TsUkAsA
your physical description is great. but as for history, you say hes a merc, so you should write about one of his battles, or hunts, just so i can get to know how he will act in the roleplay.

p.s. im not even sure if this will get off the ground, your the only one to apply as yet
Flynn
Yeah, so I’ve noticed. I hope people start joining soon tongue.gif
Seluna
Is this roleplay still going on? I hope it is not dead, we need more roleplays and activity.
Andrico
It's dead. I would've joined, but I have my reasons. It looks really good. Oh well, such is life. Maybe some other time.
TsUkAsA
i still want this open, if people still want to join, dont hesitate.
Flynn
I'd like this RP to work. I really like my character.
Ember
Name: Ellery Nash

Age: 23

Weight: 121

Height: 5’5”

Sex: Male

Eye Colour: Black

Hair Colour: Black

Birthplace: Domanar, in Dokar

Physical Description: Ellery is a small and slender man, befitting his occupation as a thief. He has short black hair that sticks up slightly, and dark eyes that tilt very slightly at the corners. He usually wears all black to blend in with the shadows as he does his dirty work. He wears a black headband across his forehead and lowered over his eyebrows, and black fingerless gloves made of cheap material. His black pants are faded and careworn, with a few inconspicuous patches here and there, and especially at the knees. His black boots are scuffed and reach to mid-calf length, with a bit of black cloth wrapped around them to conceal small throwing knives. He wears a sleeveless black jacket reaching to just below his knees over a sleeveless faded black shirt. His jacket is lined with inside pockets for all his stolen merchandise.

Personality: Ellery is a people person. He loves crowds (especially those with pockets full of gold), and frequents bars and inns. He loves to talk, and once he’s started, it’s hard to shut him up. People might say he can be a little irritating… He smiles a lot, but he grins even more, and his grin is full of mischief. He likes to play pranks on fellow thieving friends, and doesn’t feel alive unless he is running from trouble. When he gets drunk, he sings—loudly, and slaps people on the back, and just generally annoys the hell out of anyone he’s with. Luckily, he doesn’t get drunk too often… Just when he lands a goldmine, which isn’t often. His best skill is his lock-picking, rather than his pick-pocketing, though he’s not half-bad at that. His card-playing sucks though, as he tends to sulk when he’s about to lose.

Weapons: Concealed daggers and throwing knives, a handful of caltrops, just in case…

History: Ellery was born in the bustling city of Domanar, to a poor whore of a mother and a father he never knew. All his life, they had a hard time making ends meet, and the only way he could come up with money was to steal it from people who didn’t really need it like they did. He soon fell in with a gang of street rats, pilfering jewelry from rich folk to help keep a roof over him and his mother’s head. Ellery hated to see his mother in her line of work, sometimes coming home bruised or injured. All he could do was be there for her, to make dinner or provide conversation that had nothing to do with her line of work. He disliked the way other women treated her, as if she was the scum of the world. But there wasn’t much he could do but glare at them and make certain hand gestures behind their backs.

Times got worse for them as taxes were raised and his mother grew ill after her fourth miscarriage. He thought she would get better, but she grew worse each day, until Ellery decided to fetch a doctor. But the doctor was sardonic individual who believed his mother had gotten what she deserved, and refused to give them his aid. The next night, Ellery’s mother died, and Ellery was at a loss and full of grief…
Not a week later, their home was taken and all the furniture and items that had belonged to the mother and her son. Ellery was forced out onto the streets, to try and make it on his own, and he ended up joining the rest of the street gang, who lived on their own, under an older man who “watched” over them all. When his methods got to be too cruel for Ellery, he eventually left to make it on his own in the world…

Role: The Rogue

(I joined this forum to be a part of this RP, so it BETTER get off the ground! *shakes fist* )
TsUkAsA
very nice nice ember, once again, im impressed by someones ability to create a uniqe character that could be any person that's just strolling down the road. definately accepted.

btw andrico, it isnt really dead, with this incubation thing, it means you can still join, so if you want too, please do join, i want more people to join this
Ember
I am wondering why nobody wants to join this. It looks pretty cool and he obviously took the time to creat an interesting world. It takes me back to the old days, where I read a lot of adventure books; those were the days. If it's the whole role thing, why make a big deal out of it? Why not just roll with it? I mean, as my brother pointed out, being an old man mage or something would be kinda fun, you could be a lecherous old man, using a spell to look young while you hunt down the "hunnies" (and probably not getting anywhere) or you could be an old LADY lecher, that'd be funny! And warrior is a pretty open role, so what's wrong with that one? You could be an awesome samurai warrior, or a grizzled merc, or a stiff royal knight, or or or! There are so many choices for the warrior.

Come on guys... I wanna roleplay something decent...
Flynn
Your character is well done, Ember, I've only just looked at it. I don't see why people aren't jumpping on the idea of a non-free-form, fantacy RP. I had to wait for one :/

((Edit)) By the way, your drawings in Deviant Art are really great, 'wish I could draw like that sad.gif tongue.gif
Ember
Yeah, I like the non-freeform ones better. The freeforms get out of hand, and end up becoming insanely stupid when you go back and read it. Nothing classic there... (But then, I also like a little freedom, as well)

Thanks for the compliment! Haha, how did you know I draw? ^^; For awhile, when I first got the account, people were telling me over and over again how to make a manly man... (cause my style is very...girly, I guess!) Until I finally told them it was my style and get over it. *laughs* Okay, I didn't sound that harsh, but I wanted people to give me critique, not criticize the style itself. Like, did the clothes fold nicely, or were they too stiff? Did the hand look like crap? Did the weapon look natural in her hand? That kind of thing, not, too make it look like a man, make the shoulders wider and draw the eyes smaller. I know how to draw a manly man, I just don't like to! *grins* Anyway, sorry for the rant...

Where are the RPers?? This RP could be fun!
Flynn
Most of they guys do look like gir-- Feminine. But they are good, none the less. ^.^;;
And I'm sure some more people will join... eventually...

((Edit)) And there's a link to your DiviantArt in your profile o.o
Ember
((Hey, is it if we have one more character that we can use this roleplay, or is it if we have one more person? Well, I read the rules, and it says its legal to post more than one character, so maybe this will help so we three can at least roleplay this... ))

Name: Charlotte Templeton

Age: 19

Weight: 100

Height: 5’4”

Sex: Female

Eye Colour: Hazel

Hair Colour: Caramel brown

Birthplace: Amandire, on the outskirts of Dokar

Physical Description: Charlotte has a heart-shaped face, with her bangs reaching to just a little below her eyebrows. Her hair is pulled into two, full waist-length pony-tails, framing round hazel eyes which seem innocent. She wears a plain brown corset over a simple white sweetheart top with primly puffed sleeves. She has a chunky wooden gypsy bracelet on both wrists and simple leaf-shaped earrings of silver in each ear. Around her waist is her sword belt, where her long sword is sheathed. Her simple white skirt is scandalously short, but beneath the skirt she wears green tights, acting as though her skirt were a tunic of sorts. Her brown leather boots reach to her knees.

Personality: She is spunky and carefree, to the casual observer. If she has worries, she keeps them to herself. She likes to play innocent and uses her girlish looks to her advantage, but she actually has a very dangerous side. As a fighter-for-hire, she has acquired a killing instinct, and won’t hesitate to go for the kill, or trick her way into getting the aforementioned kill. She likes to make friends, but can be very selfish, which tends to put most people off. She lets things get to her head and can sometimes underestimate an issue, but has the quick wits to get herself out of trouble when she recognizes it.

Weapons: A simple steel long sword.

History: Born into a rather well-known family, Charlotte’s father, Roland Templeton, was recognized as a great Knight in the service of the land of Dokar. Charlotte was the only child of his, so when he came back to his hometown, where he had left his wife, he would eagerly scoop her into his arms and tell her stories of his life as a knight. When Charlotte was eight, they finally made the move to the kingdom to join Roland, and he began to spend much more time with his only child.

He taught her the way of a sword, and even taught her how to use a throwing ax, though she rarely used this skill in the future. When a war broke out, and her father was sent to the front lines, everyone knew he wasn’t coming back. It was just one of those things… Charlotte was 12 years old when she lost her father, and her mother fell into a depression. Frustrated at the loss of her father’s life, and the waste of her mother’s, Charlotte left home. She joined up with a mercenary guild at the age of thirteen, even though she was laughed and jeered at. She was even caught unawares alone one night, and was nearly raped, but she fought and clawed her way from the men, and left them with gaping holes in their bellies. From then on, she was left alone, unless she was in unfamiliar territory, and now Charlotte merely rolled with the punches. She slowly grew in experience, and some mercenaries even began to admire her.

Role: The Warrior

((Anyway, I made one for a Chosen, too, but it was male, so, I decided to go with this one... I was really indecisive! *laughs* I hope we can RP soon... ))

EDIT: Also, I won't mind if I can't use her... I just thought it may help. So don't worry about offending me! ^^
Seluna
If you're intending to use her as well as your other character, I suppose I can let the rule slide a little. tongue.gif I was thinking about pushing this as a main first without the third and see if it can attract more players when the IC goes up, since there aren't exactly any lack of slots.

So yeah, this is of main roleplay status from now. I won't even mind if you don't use either of your chars, Ember. ^^ Just try and get more people to join this, hm?
Ember
Well, I will wait to see what Tsukasa says about the second profile, but I will definitely play as my rogue character for sure!

I'm also hoping that when the IC goes up that it may attract others... If not, well, than I guess this RP wasn't meant to be...
winter-storm
Is this roleplay dead casue i so that is really sad and if not I want to try out but I'm not one to waste a good long history etc. if the rp is dead so just checking.
Ember
Well, if it is dead, I hate to waste profiles, too. I might use them and modify them for another roleplay in the future. But I was rather looking forward to this. It's like Tsukasa disappeared or something...
TsUkAsA
or something.....

im back, i have to admit, im a pretty terrible person. i upped and left in this middle of a few things, for that, you have my apologies. i spose i could give the usual response, life, work, family etc etc. but to be truthful, i just couldnt really be arsed. but. i am back so rejoice and hoorah.

i like your second profile, it works. it means we can get mroe than three people going, and rp with more characters. (would you believe i almost typed in toons right there? too much wow)
Ember
Yay! You're back! (We don't have to use the second character, as Seluna said)

Are we still going through with this RP, or is it too busy a time for you? I won't cry about it or anything, so don't feel obliged! But I am definitely up for it if you guys are!
TsUkAsA
im all for it, dont you worry, i wouldnt mind an extra charecter or two more. but if htis is what we have, then so be it. flynn, you floating around out there?
Flynn
Now I am. My excuse is school, and I compleatly forgot about this Form... o.o||| But I remembered, and all it took was a boring night!
TsUkAsA
thats the stuff. so, im gonna get started on 'the guide' and with that, we will only really need one or two more people. i might just make another and me flynn, and ember can do it all.
winter-storm
I know i am a terrible person for taking so long to reply or whatever but I just wasn't sure how commited you people are. I am Winter and if it is ok with the rest of you I would like to join. Oh I sound like such a newbie but I'm not I have been role playing for about five years actually if not more I'm just new to this site so I'm still a little unorriented about how things work hear casue it's all a lot more complex then most sites I rp on but it looks like a ton of fun. It looks like we need a chosen one I would love to be her but seeing as you don't know how I rp I won't sign up for such a pivitol role so I will try out for the wizard and well I guess we will see.

Role: The Wizard or in this case witch as I am making it a female role

I think I kind of went over board on the physical discription and personality. Sorry about that but I got worked up casue I'm excited about the character. I also want to apolagize for any typos I made casue some of the keys on my key board stick I would usually re read it all to make sure there aren't any mistakes, but it is really late here so I'm just trying to get this done before I passout on top of my key board.
Flynn
I don't see any problems with it. Well, other than the typos, but they’re easy to ignore. Then again, I'm not the leader of this RP. I also don't think you went over bored on the physical description and personality. It's good to establish a clear description. ((Big words, Hah!))

Something seemed familiar in your profile too. Have you ever read any books from "The Wheel of Time" Series? It could be a coincidence, or a stereotype, or me being 'paranoid' but your physical description sounds kind of like an Aes Sedai. The ageless look, the glow when using magic, and the cloak that seemingly disappears.
It's probably just me being paranoid. I've been reading quite a bit lately o.o||

But you character's well developed. It's nice to see someone new joining here.
winter-storm
no I've never read those books. I did take a bit from a couple different books I'ver read though and just sort of smushed them together in my character. I'm glad you like my character I just hope the leader does too.
Flynn
I don't see why he won't. We're quite desperate for characters as you may have guessed. Well, not desperate but... "The more the merrier."
Ember
Yes, the more the merrier, especially people who like to play women. I have a girl character, but I don't normally RP girls. (I don't think my girls are very good, I rather like the men better) But I can't wait to see this off the ground! We have four people now! Yay!
Flynn
Well, five for the RP. I hope someone else joins instead of someone making another character. It's better that way.
Ember
I agree, Flynn. If someone wants to join this, and they want to be the warrior, they are welcome to it. But I am keeping the rogue.

It would be awesome to get another person or two...
TsUkAsA
i like.

your in winter. e just need the chosen one and we are right, its a pity not too many people go for the more heavily structued rps. ah well
FIRE_FLY
story seems prety interesting id like to join but i would also like to make my own warrior profile if thats i would take chosen one but im not used to rping in this kind of format so ill leave that for someone else
(in case ur wobdering i have rped before just not in the sence of using another character insted of ur own avator)
Ember
Well, like I said previously, go for the warrior role. ^^ I am by no means the keeper of it. I would really rather just be my rogue only, anyway. It's a little easier that way. I am curious to see your profile, Firefly.
winter-storm
Yay! I'm in this should be fun.
Runs around bounce and falls on floor.
"Ow"
I hate benadryle but I'm in yay.
I wish we had a chosen now that I actually took the time to type up a profile and structure my character etc. etc. I'm supper excited about this rp.
Oh Firefly like the show or thee animal lol
sorry medicine makes me loopy actually a lot of things make me loopy, but lopy or not I am excited to see your profile and really excited to extend my rp horizens to this more structured idea. Well toodels for now need to go take more medicine and pass out for another our hours. (stupid side effects)

Once again sorry for typoes my key board sticks.

Am I the only female character so far? I know I like just posted but it just occured to me that I think all the other characters are male. Woah that seems weird. I mean the places I rp it's like all girls and people are begging for guys. I have deinately been on the wrong kind of boards.
Ember
I know the kind of boards you mean, winter storm, I used to be on some of those (always male, of course) but it really sucks when you're the only male... So, I looked around and found this place. I'm really glad I did. I'm having a good time here. ^^
Flynn
I'm keeping entertained in this thread.
Come to think of it, I should add a bit more to my character...
TsUkAsA
feel free to post a warrior character sheet firefly if ember has no dramas with it
