Welcome to our humble little RP section, Tyrant Cecelia. ^^ I'll help answer some of your questions.

QUOTE
Are there any rules to role playing? Like to I have to post my character profile first then my layout and if people join then maybe we can proceed? That's what one site made me do and it was such a pain in the ace I left.
Yes, there are rules to roleplaying. It's just the basic stuff like no god-modding, no spamming, that sort. Just check it out here. As for our style of roleplaying, we prefer to have the basic story and setting written out in an OOC topic first. RPers who read the OOC and are interested in joining then post the profile of character(s) styled specifically for the RP in the topic and wait for creator's approval. If you want to know more, I suggest reading the General Roleplaying FAQ.

QUOTE
Also are there any role plays I can join now? Or are they all pretty much already gotten into?

Mm... practically all the RP here are open for registration, though some have advanced pretty far in the storyline. The newest ones that may not be as hard to get into are 'Earth 2239: Decimation', 'The Tathrel Chronicles' and 'Naruto'. But Dragon vs Phoenix is also looking for people to join as we severely lack characters on one side of the roleplay.

QUOTE
And if I did make a role play how many people would join you think if it was a good enough story-line? Are people already wrapped up in several other rps right now?

I can't say for sure about how many people will join. There are a lot of factors that contribute to that and roleplayers here sometimes get wrapped up in real-life without giving much of a warning. So I can't estimate it very well and haven't tried for some times. It's a chance to take, creating a roleplay here.

To answer your other question, several of the more active roleplayers are indeed involved in a few roleplays, but only they themselves can tell if they can participate in another without it being too tough on them.

Hello, I actually have a question. I was wondering if I am allowed to create an rp that's a continuation of a series. Such as Final Fantasy 10. I want to know if I'm allowed to do that here, I'm not so sure if it's allowed since I haven't seen any. Sorry if my question sounds a bit stupid but I really don't know. oops.gif
Seluna
Yes, it is allowed as long as you follow the RP Creation Rules [link]. And it is probably better if you read the General Roleplay FAQ [link] to know how things work here.
zidane the theif
Okay, thank you and I will.

I love all kinds of Rps but one of my Fav's is Harry Potter..I know it's Kind of dorkey but i love it. Dose anyone eles like Harry Potter Rps too?
Dragon Brigade
Personally, I’ve never really been one for RPing something that someone else has already written (based off movie/anime/book, etc.). So I probably wouldn’t take part if you did start one, not because I think it’d be bad or anything, but because it’s not quite my thing. If I did join, and assuming this is actually taking place in the books (as in, it’s not the same world just different characters, but is the same world + same characters), I’d be Bellatrix <3

But yeah, sorry...You might find someone else who will join, but first you’d need to expound a bit more on what it’s going to be about...Seluna (RP mod) has written up a creation guideline you should check out if you wanted to start this off...

Here is a link to make the searching easier: http://www.rpgdreamersforum.com/index.php?showtopic=48553

Hope that helps >.>

I moved this topic to RP Incubation Forum. I'll let Seluna handle this topic from there.

I haven't seen an RP from a popular book/movie/tv work here, but I think if something is done well enough, people would notice that and take part in it knowing you worked hard on it. Like Dragon, those sorts of RP's aren't really my thing. I took part in a few KH RP's back in the day but after that I swore I would not do that again since they were so deplorable. If someone smart does it, it can turn out well, but if its a fanboy/girl doing it, it ends up being a mess. I wouldn't personally join since those sort of RP's aren't my thing, but that's no reason to necessarily give up. That creation guide is put together really well, I've never made an RP here myself but its very handy, even to look back on down the road.

I guess I'm one of the rare ones who doesn't really like Harry Potter, but like Eva said, Sel can comment here. It's really only her comments that matters anyway hehe.

I'll keep this topic, and let opinions collect. But if it goes inactive, I'll merge it with the Discuss and Ask topic.

Personally, I don't mind fan-roleplays. They are some of the easiest roleplays to get into and make. My first roleplay and the first I created were both fan-roleplays, but they went off pretty fine. But I've joined some that's like a topic from General Chat. >.> But it'll really have to depend on how the creator of the roleplay make the roleplay, same as all roleplays out there.
Evilangel
okay thank you all for the tips.

Yes, I love Harry Potter RP threads. I've been doing LC lately, but the website is being stupid. It's like not working for some reason, for me I don't know why. It's kind of making me mad.
Seluna
The last few posts are kinda messy because I merged a 'do you like harry potter rps?' topic into this topic. But then again, this topic is way old. I'm going to dump it in Archive now. We can have a discussion topic when somebody wants to make one.
