Woot! We need a completly juvenile and bitchy topic in the Xenosaga forums... (I'm sorry if this has been done before)

Anyway, my questions are what Pair-ups do you think we may just see by the end of Xenosaga (I'm talking about likley ones, or hinted ones... not fantasy Yaoi pair-ups, you know who you are). I only ask because there are a lot of speculation but Love hasn't really been much of a centreal plot in Xenosaga so far.

Well, after saying no Yaoi couples, I must contradict myself and say that I wouldn't be totally shocked if it ends up that chaos and Wilhelm once had a romantic relationship, although I doubt it would explicitly come out in episode III, I could completly see it being hinted at maybe.

I know a lot of people say about chaos and KOS-MOS, which I can't personally see... but maybe once we understand who 'True KOS-MOS' is we can elaborate.

Other possiblilities, KOS-MOS and Shion (Shion is totally hot for KOS-MOS), Shion and Kevin, Shion and allen (Meh maybe). Personally, I've like to see Allen find someone at the end. Shion is a total bitch to him and doesn't deserve him. Hehehe...

Juli & Ziggy... it's been severly hinted at but I'm not sure... Ziggy doesn't seem like the type of person to fall in love, especially since he is tryng to repress his human nature.

To be honest, the only one I actually give a damn about would be Juli and Ziggy. Thats the only one I really felt was "there" at all.
But I imagine it'd be awkward, Cyborg and Human, after all...

Anyways, Anything else I really won't fall for. Having an "appolonius" situation would be nothing short of hilarious, in regards to Chaos and Wilheim.

I wonder who that could be... =P

Anyway, Wilhelm and chaos is something I can't see happening storywise. They're enemies; Pied Piper already quite strongly implied so, and the ending of Episode II further supports this (plus there have also been certain rumors about their past for quite a while). Officially Wilhelm x chaos seems a big no-no, I don't see how that could work at all.

As for chaos x KOS-MOS, I can't comment because sadly I already know a little about true KOS-MOS (enough to know wether or not certain speculations about her are correct, so I'm gonna hush).

And as for Ziggy x Juli, I'm not sure to what extend that is possible. I mean... how shall I say this? The lower half of his body is mechanic. Isn't he missing... certain things? <<''

Aaanyway; I also assume Shion will end up with either Kevin or Allen, for obvious reasons.

Anyway, Shion & Kevin seems stupid. Kevin organized the death of everyone and made Shion miserable for years thinking he was dead as well. But, since it's so stupid, it will happen.

Besides, while I don't mind yaoi, it needs to make sense. I mean..think about it.

And given what we already know about chaos and Wilhelm so far, I honestly don't see how it could still make any sense. Maybe it's because of having read that supposed "leaked" info from long ago (though still classified as rumors) that I really wonder why anyone would still consider this a possibility. I mean, even chaos x Rubedo would make more sense to me now... I think I'm gonna shut up. =P

Oh, but there is one other pairing I forgot to mention; Virgil x Febronia. It's already obvious there was something going on between those two in the past, but perhaps when (or if) Virgil dies he will be united with her in death again.

Virgil/Fab be nice. They may be reunited before he "dies." Like Kevin will meet Shion. So, we will see. I wonder if it was unrequited love, though.

There's yet another pairing I forgot to mention (though I don't really care about this one either); Rubedo x MOMO. They've already had plenty of scenes that appear to be pointing towards this, though I do wonder how far they will take this. After all, there are some rather complicated issues regarding this... like Rubedo being a 26 year old in a teenager's body, and I'm not even sure at what point MOMO is supposed to be mentally. <<''

In the anime, only Ziggy's heels seem to be cybernized, and the rest of his body, save his right arm is human. Seems like a robocop reference to me, that arm.

Anyway, Ziggy/Juli very obvious, especially with Ziggy's role towards MOMO.
Jr/MOMO I don't support at all. Ziggy has shown himself to also be somewhat fatherly towards Jr., and Sakura asked Jr. to protect her sister, and he said he'd treat her like his own sister. So, really, she's just like his sister. Yup.

Virgil and Feb's pairing is adressed in Episode 3, and there's a certain scene in Japanese, where Virgil's voice actor does an extremly good job conveying emotions, and Feb's in it as well. One of the best scenes I've seen, though I didn't understand it - and unless Virgil spoke of Blueberry pie, it's sure to be great, especially if they bring Virgil's voice actor from Episode 1 back. Though I like Virgil, I don't really find Feb to be all that great, though.

Shion/Allen. Because I like Allen, and I'd like for him to get what he's been trying to. Even if its someone as airheaded and oblviously mean spirited as Shion.

Kevin/Shion I don't like.

Shion/Kevin would be the dumbest move ever in the series. And after EPII, that's saying something.

I like Shion x Kevin (not too fond of Shion x Allen, actually). I know he isn't really the right choice, given all he has done so far. Yet for once I'd rather see the lead character not make the morally right choice and do something unexpected, like choosing the love with the wrong ideals (and even so, I still like his character).

Sadly my venture for XSIII info has left me with quite a few spoilers already, and I know exactly how things will work out between those two. Will she indeed have anything going on with him again, or not at all? I know, so I won't say anything more. =p

Ok, why the heck do so many people think chaos is gay?! It's seriously annoying. Well anyway, the whole Kevin/Shion thing....I don't like that idea for reasons I'm not saying. And uh, yeah I'll shut up before I spill some beans. *walks out tightly holding the jar of beans* rofl

Because first of all he's designed like a stereotypical yaoi boy, and if you combine this with the fact that there actually seemed to be a potential possibility to have him paired with Wilhelm at first glance, it's not so surprising really. But I never expected it to be, I don't know of any RPG that has had the guts to include an important, serious non-straight pairing.

I know when it comes to a series like Xenosaga it could have been possible (I'm sure there are quite a few people who've considered Shion x KOS-MOS as well), but I still didn't expect any such thing to happen (I can only think of Metal Gear Solid to have gone for it so far).

Bah. Everyone here knows something about the new game 'cept me. Buit I learned my lesson with reading the spoilers of Revenge of the Sith before i saw the movie. You all should just be ashamed of yourselves for spoiling part of the game for yourselves.

Hey, mine was purely by accident. I was trying to find just some basic info and some HUGE spoilers were hidden within.

Anyway, I don't see any hinting to initial pairing of chaos and Wilhelm. Sure, they know each other, sure they look a bit alike. But they sure as heck aren't exactly friendly with each other. As for his design, well, you have to take into consideration the fact that the games repeatedly hint that he hails from a higher existance, most apparent, an angel. Now look at the fact that angels represent perfect balance and holiness, it makes sense he has feminine attributes.

They look more than just a little alike; they're eachother's direct opposite. chaos has a darker tan, blue eyes, and stays mostly on the background. Wilhelm looks quite pale, has red eyes, and is involved in almost anything. They both share the same calm and collected kind of personality.

It's as if they're two sides of the same coin. I can see why some people might have concluded they belonged together because of this. Though I think I know why they look so similar, but I'm not completely sure (hey, at least something I didn't get spoiled about yet! xP ).

Well, in those aspects, yeah, they look similar. But as far as overall, their faces and body structure look nothing alike. Being an artist, I take note of that easily. And despite any similarities in appearance or personality, I still don't see how people can conclude that. That's like saying if you have a best friend that looks alot like you and has alot of the same personality traits as you, that you two are gay. I just don't see the logic.

Heh, yeah. I have my theories on that as well, but I'm not sure about it so there's one thing I have to look forward to.

It's the logic of videogames; if two characters were designed like the way I described above (them being the exact opposite), then that must surely have been deliberate and mean something, nay? And I'm sure it does, just not in that way (as it just wouldn't make any sense at this point). You can't quite compare that sort of thing with real life, lol.

Just trying to explain that I can definitely understand why some people have had that impression of chaos and Wilhelm. xP

No, it simply means they're opposites and may have some sort of link to each other. But it doesn't mean that it's a love link. But if you want to use that reasoning, then chaos and KOS-MOS are indeed an item so to speak. chaos means displacement, havoc, and pandamonium. KOS-MOS is derived from cosmos, which means "To bring to order" So right there, the logic contradicts itself. Why purposely put in two love interests of one character in such a manner? I don't see it very often in video games.

Indeed, the chaos x KOS-MOS pairing was mainly considered for similar reasons; chaos is written in all regular letters, KOS-MOS in all capital letters. And chaos = chaos (duh) while KOS-MOS = order, as you said. Of course, we know there is a true KOS-MOS resting within her, and chaos has already shown interest for her. Hence the hinting towards this pairing was much more obvious.

As for putting in 2 love interests like that... lol, why not? Those 3 are connected in some way, just not in that manner. But it could have been, it certainly would have been interesting xP . But just to make clear, I'm not bashing his character. A character's sexuality shouldn't matter, so if he had been paired up with Wilhelm I would by no means have seen that as negative.

chaos is my favourite character as well and I'm not into Yaoi myself and I am straight. However, I'm just saying that I wouldn't not have been suprised if it would have been revealed that chaos and Wilhelm had a romantic relationship a long time ago in the past. Especially seeing as it's hinted that they worked together closely. However, I don't know enough about their past to really make that judgement (I really need to read pied piper and play the first game).

Vamp was a great character in MGS2... but I don't think the fact that he was bisexual made him any less cool. We arn't bashing chaos... it's just that for a while it seemed like it could have gone that way. However, I'm certain that chaos and Willhelm won't have any romantic relationship from this point on. There is too much between them.

Anyway... this is unimportant to the topic...

JrXMOMO seems like an odd match to me... but anyone and a realian seems like an odd match to me. MOMO is very child-like and though Rubedo is as well the whole growing old together doesn't make any sense. There was supposed to be a section of the game where rubedo finds and becomes his older-self which was completly cut-out and so I guess we'll never know what the original intentions for Jr were... They may just go with the Disney story ending of Jr and MOMO being seen at the end as a couple as a blue genie flies away to the desert.

ZiggyxJuli seem quite right... but I wonder what it is exactly that she wishes to learn from Ziggy?

Ah, yes. Jin x Pellegri is vaguely hinted at in the anime. But the anime is not exactly canon. Though if I recall, it's also hinted at in the XSII DS version. It might still be brought up again in XSIII (I think there were actually some screenshots released where they can be seen talking in their ES, but I'm not sure anymore).

Could be interesting, but so far it's really hard to get a good idea of what their past relationship might have been like (and so far it doesn't seem very likely they'll get together again).

Even though I don't like Allen very much, I prefer him with Shion over Kevin.
Shion and KOS-MOS would be a nice couple, but I doubt that's gonna happen. So I'll say chaos and Kos-mos.
Can't say much about MOMO and Rubedo at the moment. Same for Juli and Ziggy, but maybe I need to finish Episode 2.

Oh and Helmer and U-DO would make a lovely couple.
