Well, I finally got FFXI. (haven't played it yet cuz I'm still waiting for my new computer.).... But anyway, I plan on being a Black mage Tarutaru (sub job WHM). Because since I read the instruction manual, I thought Tarus were cool. Plus I've always enjoyed being a mage. But I'm not quite sure.... so..... Any suggestions?

Most blms usually sub whm because they gain stoneskin.

BLMs also sub RDM(stoneskin is at 68 with /RDM though, as opposed to 58 with /whm)for fast cast 1 and 2(lvl70), dispel, and gravity. I think MAB stacks too(Magic attack bonus).

The MAB dosen't stack, but you'll get more INT, I sub RDM on my BLM, and it's very good. Take your pick though, sometimes you'll wish you had Poisona when the WHM dosen't want to listen.

Well, wouldn't you know it...... FFXI doesn't work on this graphics card, so now I play WoW.

lol those 2 are the exact opposite. wow is lv1 to 70 in.... oh ur there already. But ffxi. DAM. 1 week goes by. YES I MADE LV 10. Its a nice game though just such a long wait getting a grp and it is truly a grind. The makers of eq1 and vanguard are mere wow knock offs compared to leveling in that game.

2 of the possible subjob options have been listed but 1 that hasent is Smn. with smn you gain Int and refresh after 50 plus once you get the avatars you can gain some buffs along the way such as aerial armor.

BLM/SMN is a terrible combo unless you don't need to heal AT ALL and the refresh is needed for the goal.

If you have a dedicated Whm and a dedacated Rdm like your "suposed" to in the higher levels and you run into senior members who have played 2+ years thats not a problem as everyone should know how to do their job. Besides most people should always have oils and powerds on them in case of magic argo mobs
