Ok i dont have photoshop but i have Paintshop Pro 8 so yea...

i was kinda messing around seeing how things looked and i came up with this

An RGB sig? It's very hard to make sigs in PSP but that's a good start. The smaller the easier too.

Looks alright to me, but I do advice to get a torrent or so (or buy it) for photoshop. It is far more professional and to me quite harder, but you get better results.

Looks good to me, but then again, I'm not so great at sigs. I myself use both Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro X (Usually PSP) and sometimes I use them together. It just takes a lot of practice and patience. Messing around with stuff is how I learned how to do anything, so if what you are doing works, keep with it. You should also look up some tutorials (sorry, I don't have a tutorial site on the brain at the moment)

Ok i kinda gave up on the kingdom hearts one so i made a new one i tryed my best on this one and in the process i found more things in psp8

I think you're doing good so far. Not too sure why everyone here keeps recommending Adobe photoshop, I'm sure it may be alot easier to use, but PSP is also a good program to use... plus, he's only making signatures.

I'm not familliar with PSP myself, but I have used it once or twice and it's not that hard to get a hang of. Alazuli probably might be more help to you with the program since I know she used to use it.

Anyways, I like your latest signature. The layout is nice and the gradient adds to it as well, but I think it would be better if the image of Shiva was bigger so then you can shrink the text down, since I think the text is abit too big.

Ah, your shiva sig looks so much better than the KH one. Keep practicing. I have PSP9 and I started out with PSP7 3 years ago - it took that long to finally make my first *neat* looking sig D:.


PSP is easier but it is more restrictive than PS.

I know Tifa looks kinda cut out but i couldnt fix that

For images on a white background you have to mess with the magic wand and adjust the tolerance level. With the right adjustment, the wand can get rid of the white specs and stuff.

Haha, could never forget when I was using that! xD

Paintshop Pro is certainly a much easier program to use, but it does work differently from Photoshop. It doesn't have as many filters, tools, and options, but it's not a bad choice for your first image editor, I think. Much more user-friendly than Photoshop. =p It's not bad to use before you (might) decide to transition over to Photoshop.

The Shiva one is pretty nice, but a little bit of blending on her hair might make it feel a bit more in place with the sig. Maybe placing her under a few layers, too? Also, seems a tad bit empty in some areas, but overall! It's pretty nice! Soft colours rock!

The Tifa one...can't say I like it too much. I'm not exactly too much of a fan of the BG and Tifa looks quite out of place in the sig. ^^;; The text is a little bit pixel-ish, but I know PSP has a habit of doing that, a lot. Try out some of the simpler fonts like Century Gothic, Arial, or something like that. It'll make it hard for the program to freaking ruin your piece! xDDD

I suggest taking a look at some tutorials (translating Photoshop tuts is really fun, by the way!) or perhaps playing around with some out the other tools like the brushes??? It's all up to you! :]

I'd try to get photoshop but i dont have the money and dial up is too slow to download something that big

I just recently found out i had PSP 8 on my computer so im kinda new to it thanks for the tips and advice

I cant seem to find anything to put in my Shiva sig. Im trying to find something to do with ice or Shiva's full body
so i can mold it my sig

If anyone has time can they help me find a good little image

nice work, for a first worth while try in my opinion you got some talent id try making then using one guy only or then grouped you have more flexability with things that way and yes, photoshop rules torrent it if you can.


try making it a 3D sig for the shiva one, those are nice. i used to go to battleon.com for the forums. look around there for 3D sigs they are wicked sick and will show you what i mean.
