I'm really out of the loop on game info lately, and this is the first I've come accross anything about this game. And I'm surprised I'm not hearing more talk about it.

http://xbox360.ign.com/objects/747/747936.html

It's the first Japanese traditional-styled turn-based RPG for the Xbox 360, and it's looking pretty good to me. Battle system sounds pretty good, and this whole Golem system sounds kind of interesting. There's said to be over 50 hours of gameplay in the main game alone, plus additional branching missions/side quests. I'm still looking over all the details of the game myself, but it's caught my interest so far. I think I may actually be getting this one. Gonna look over these videos and reviews a bit more though. It's release is set for the 29th of this month...so again I'm surprised I've heard nothing about it up until now.

You guys looked into this much? Anyone planning on getting it, or no?
LunarMaster
Yeah I'm getting it. It probably won't be the greatest RPG, but it should at least turn out decent. I'm also curious as to what the achievemnt points will be.
Red_ryaN
i havnt heard anything about it either.. but then again i dont have a 360 so i dont exactly go looking for games comming out for it haha. hm it looks interesting. i agree with the post above tho. it wont be anything amazing but it should be decent. all i need now is a job so i can buy a 360 lol!
Dragon Legacy
Enchanted Arms was one of main reasons I got my 360. So yeah i'm exited about it. After watching videos of it I knew it I had to have it.
LunarMaster
I was looking through the site and it said that it had an Online Versus battle were you Go head-to-head in 1 versus 1 battle and challenge other gamers on Xbox Live®. I'm not sure how that works, but it sounds interesting.
Rozalin
I cant wait till it's out, looks so cool >.> I know about this game pretty long same did for N3 but got it yesterday! tongue.gif

wow, online? never heard about that, ah that would be better anyways^^
Metonymy
You guys should probably take your eyes off of this game. It has a homosexual character. It must burn. And Ubisoft confirmed that this homosexual character is staying in the US version instead of being reasonably censored out. These idiots are pushing their agenda on us in all forms now! WTF!

I won't play it because I'm heavily against $60.00 games. Its pretty gay, I hate paying that much.

Edit : I fail at exaggerations and sarcasm. :/
You guys been to any other popular message boards, and read about this game? Notice this was one of the bigger issues? Yeah, thats the humor. My main concern is that its another jrpg cheesefest. I won't mind it if the gameplay is alright, but its bound to irk me sometime through.
Dragon Legacy
Wow that post just wrecks of homophobia. All that was missing was your sheet, but hey you could have it on for all I know. Ubisoft chose to leave him as he was, so what get over it. If you don’t like it simply ignore it, really is it that hard to do? But for you to rant and rave “Oh no there a gay character in it don’t buy it!!” That’s you, some people may not mind it, hell they even knew about it and it doesn’t both them.

But for you to turn this into a Ubisoft’s trying to brain wash our kids and the innocent, that’s pretty stupid. All you would have had to do is ignore the post but you had to make a mess out of it. So I applaud your efforts on ruing a thread kudos!

Oh and get over the $60 price tag of games, get over it or get a life.

To The mod/Admin, who reads this I do apologize for my slight rant but I’m allergic to stupidity.

Oh, wow, you took him seriously.

If you're "allergic to stupidity" I guess you must be sneezing 24/7.

No that's what Claritin is for. happy.gif But if I was to know it was Sarcasm I would have acted differently. I'm not a mind reader.

So i'd end with something witty but can't think anything. >_> So umm use your imagination! happy.gif

ABout the 'Gayness' init, I don't care about that because many games/anime have gayness init. SO what's the problem? or are you saying Enchanted Arms is for children 3+ years? I don't think so >_<

And most of the time the 'Gayness' is pretty funny though o_o

I guess I could say that the only reason I was excited about this game was for the simple fact that it was a JRPG. After playing the game for a good 3-4 hours yesterday , I can safely say that it is a fun game that does so many things right.

GAMPLAY:
The battle system is quick and quite intuitive. The battles are random, but they have strong strategy elements (similar to final fantasy tactics). The grid is not too big so that the battles are fought quickly (the enemies/ allies are right in front of one another). You can also do combination attack and you have a meter that fills up that lets you unleash super attacks (similar to limit breaks in FF7). Characters regain magic/hp at the end of each battle and if a character dies, he/she will be revived (with no items/spells needed). I really don't have any big complaints about the battles except that they happen a little too often. That's not exactly a big problem because they are fun and quick. You even have the ability to fast foward attack animations (which helps speed through long animations).

FEATURES
A great feature is that you can save anywhere and at any time. For some reason you have to choose where you want to save(for me it's always the harddrive), but I'm guessing that it was added for people who are using the memory card.

The Achievements so far seem pretty easy. I've gotten 3 already, and they were all from defeating bosses.

GRAPHICS/SOUND
This game is quite beautifull. When running through areas , it looks as good as a PS2 CG movie, with the ability to rotate the camera (which I have always liked).

The music is topnotch. The voices seem fine for most of the characters except that sometimes it's hard to hear them with some of the ambient sounds or music (you can just follow along by reading the text).

STORY
The story starts off similar to FF8 in that you are a group of students/friends in a magic academy.I haven't gotten too far into the story, but at least the characters seem to be well developed (the gay guy is actually pretty funny).

CONCLUSION
I guess I didn't have the highest expectaions for this game, but it is turning out to be much better then I had expected. Anyone else get this game?
Rozalin
Haha, I knew the gay guy was fun >_<
Also I couldn't wait to get the game after seeing the gameplay!
I wanna have it ><!!!!

EDIT: One thing for some1 who has the game, who's the nurse with the biggy needle? >_> my sis is stuck at the emperor of fire ; ;
Death
Haha thanks, Lunar, I'll probably be picking up this game, when i get some money (Most of it went to PSU)

From what you say, this game will really intrigue me, thanks again biggrin.gif
LunarMaster
I beat the game a few months ago and it took about 40-50 hours to finish. The final boss was pretty damn hard so I had to level up quite a bit to finaly beat her (cheap ass boss). The achievments are all just defeating bosses in the game, so if you finish the game you get the full 1000 Achievment points. I would still recommend the game to anyone who's looking to get a solid RPG (don't expect a masterpiece) for the 360.
Rozalin
Havn't beat the game myself yet (I can't play everyday ya know!)
I'm around the 70% going to the Sage's tower ( just been at Kyoto city, still init)so kinda at the end of the game. I love the conversations they're just fun XD well, the beginning of the game is pretty difficult because of the less VP you have when your around 30% it's much easier. (it took me 15 hours to get to 20% and 10 to get to 70%) Also if your to lazy to level for the last boss just do the casino trick >_> or beat up all enemies at that Raiko thingy.

The game itself is good when you look at almost ALL the RPG's, almost no side quests to do T_T. but it's good enoughto enjoy and play a game that's first time beating is around 40 hours, you can complete it around 40-50 hours though.

Ugh, I've lost track of RPGs lately, is this the one made by the same folks as Star Ocean 3? and Cheap Ass boss you say, how cheap?
LunarMaster
The game was made by FROM software, makers of Kings Field.

The last boss is cheap because the main characters element is fire while the final boss is ice. She pretty much kills him in a few hits and he's the hard hitter of the group.

I just couldn't get into this game, I really wanted to, and I tried to like it especially as this one of the games I was looking forward to the most, but it just didn't grab me at all.
AnimePaul
Shouldn't this topic be moved into General Gaming since it is coming to the PS3 as well?
Athrun
Good point. It may get more attention in Gen gaming.
