Seeing as the OGC pretty much went dead because of lack of entries, I've been iffy about starting up a tournament. But I am willing to give it a chance...

So... people that want to take part in the tournament, please post here to say that you're willing to take part.

Any questions, queries and whathaveyousay on the tournament for example, the rules, theme etc... you can post in here aswell. I am willing to hear views on what people want and don't want.

Just because this topic is made, doesn't mean we are definitely having one yet. Depending on how many people want to take part, I'll think about whether I'll make an official topic for this tournament.

I have a few questions:

- Is there going to be a render demand, as to, you post a link to an already done render and we have to use that render in the sig, or will you just post a theme until now?

- I suggest that in this tournament that, instead of a sig, mabe people could submit a set, sig and ava, that way, the ones participating would have a little more fun and the people voting would have more "quantity" to vote on, not just a sig.

- "render" does not equal "stock". Sorry, it's a common misnomer that always bothers me. But I like the idea of putting up an image and see what people will do with it.

- Sig+Av ftw.

I'm personally not a fan of doing sigs, but ok... if thats what everyone agrees on, then I wouldn't mind doing a sig.

I know ^^, and I really meant "render", not "stock". I sound like a lazyarse though xD A render or a stock, render would be for the lazy ones =p (like myself ^^'').

I think making sig/ava is good nvr made Avater yet. I dont accualy know whats harder i think the larger size. But you maybe want to keep it for everyone doable, also for the people who are a little less good at it (such as me )

"Render" and "stock are completely different haha. That link is just a stock that people cut out and put into a .png format, it's not really a "render". Only the crazy 2D art communities like National Sig League (which I can't believe they have) and AnimeRenders.com call them renders. But they're wrong, heehee.

I like that idea, I'll take it into mind.


Not into the idea of having people make sets for the tournament. I want to stray away from SOTW-ish idea's since it helps people try out other things.

I'll still take it into mind. I do like the leveling thing that Apple mentioned though, so I might go with the sets if I decide to use that.

As for render and stock... let's just stick with stock or the word images, since when you guy's mention render's I think 3D Max, which creates 3D rendered images. x.x

And yea, I'm down with whatever, don't really matter to me. I know Kind Dutch up there is like "He turned down my battle, but he's willing to do a tournament?" Yes, thats because more people are involved, and I feel it gives a greater challenge, because you have more than one style to compete with.

So yea, you can definently count me in on a tournament like this. and I think it would be a decent challenge to have a specific "picture" to work with lol. So, I'll keep an eye out and I'm ready to start whenever

Quick question... I'm sure this has been stated before, but I really don't feel like searching through both topics to find it.

So forgive me for asking, but, does each person just make one set for the entire tournament, or does each person have to make something new for every round?

I might be interested in joining if it only takes one set to enter, but I definitely don't have enough free time to make a new set for every round. Working full time can be a bitch.

I figured it would be a set per round since one would eliminate the whole tournament thing and basically make it a drawn out free for all, being it's a 1on1. So yea, I'm guessing we would have to battle each person with a new set. I'm wondering though, how long do we have to make submissions?

Is there gonna be revival round??? well since Elimination by 1v1 =/ why not do a revival round before Semi finals~ to let the best 1 or 2 among the those who got Elminated to hav another chance for a Final Showdown =] I'll make it more interesting =]

Dookie, once a voting topic is made for the previous round, you can start right then. I've already made yours and Fantas' topic, so you can do yours right away. This is how it's going be done for the next pair aswell.

You can join as long as you stick with it and you can find another person to battle with, since Gandalf dropped out you will need someone else to compete with. Otherwise, I'm afraid you can't join in until then...

OK, I have a quesion. I know that we have to use, at least, one stock of those given (heck I gave that idea xD), but my question is, can we use other stocks apart from the ones we have to chose?

Like, I use one of the given renders and any other stock that I chose?

Meaning yes, you can use other stocks, just as long as you use at least one of the stocks I have provided for you.

This rule won't be applied for all rounds, I hope to make this a little more restrictive further on after Rnd 1. Okay? xP

I decided to do the runner since it'll be alot easier to find someone out of that than another two member's... But yeh, I was thinking about putting a voting poll up but that would take too much time, so I just went with tbe better average. xP

Only rounds that are going to put up at once would be the semi-FINAL and the FINAL.
