Are there any info. on it yet? there probably is but I'm too lazy.... But are the old ones in 1 or 2 going to return for the 3rd? I really hope that the voice actress for Kos-Mos in part 1 comes back. that voice suited Kos-Mos more than the one in part 2. It sounded more robotic.

Some are confirmed, yes:

- Lia Sargent returns as Shion (Episode I voice)
- Bridget Hoffman returns as KOS-MOS (Episode I voice) & T-elos
- Brianne Siddall still voices Rubedo
- Richard Epcar also still voices Ziggy
- Joshua Seth apparently returns as chaos (Episode II voice, is said to have been confirmed in fanmail)

I remember Namco making an announcement that the old voice actors for Kos-Mos and Shion from Xenosaga 1 would be returning.

Namco confirmed in a Q & A that Bridget Hoffman would be voicing KOS-MOS again. I don't think they said anything about Shion, but you can clearly tell in the trailers that it's Lia Sargent (and you can already hear Hoffman voicing T-elos in those as well, but I guess people were just wondering if she would also voice KOS-MOS again this time).

Xerno, isn't it 4 for days remaining till the release of XSIII?

Crispin Freeman returns as Albedo/Gaignun (Nigredo)
Xerno
Ah, that has been confirmed? Good, Albedo wouldn't be the same without Crispin Freeman. Though I didn't doubt he would be back. Now I just hope they still kept the same voice actor for Yuriev (dunno his name). Imo that guy did a truly brilliant job at voicing Yuriev, it definitely added to his character for me. It'd be a real shame if he was replaced.

PS: 3 days for me, I'm going by the timer at the Labyrinthos site... which matches Belgium time. ;p
Tidyun
^ ok. I got it then, well 2 days left for me happy.gif

I've seen a trailer of various English scenes from the game, and it seems MOMO's voice is the same as in Episode II. And BAH! They replaced Yuriev's voice (either that, or he does a poor job this time). Margulis' is still the same, but I think that was also to be expected.

I still prefer it has on option like in Onimusha Series (no 4 if not mistaken) where u can chose from either english or japs language and a subtitle smile.gif

p/s: I more prefer to japs

A Japanese girl I was talking to once said that she was rather annoyed by the way American anime watchers/video game players who play a Japanese game out of nowhere think that the Japanese voices are better. Sure it's a respected proffesion, or whatever, but that doesn't mean there's not a single ##### up in it.

Ever watch FMA? The English voices in that beat the hell out of the Japanese ones for the most part. Really. Except for their way of translating hommunculi as being a singular noun when it's not, it's generally better.

And really, their voices sound really generic. I've seen the Japanese versions of scenes in Xenosaga, and aside from Virgil's voice (not fanboying here, it's true), all those voices sound like I've heard them in every single other anime I've watched ever barring SEL which had a very small amount of voices when compared to other animes.

Albedo sounds boring and nowhere near as insane in his voice in Japanese. In fact, he sounds... like a typical angry power hungry villain, and that he is just doing all he's doing to try to be scary even when he isn't. Crispin Freeman beats the hell out of him (though he does that in most cases except that his voice wasn't fitting for Albel in SO3 at all).

VOIJAH!!

But yes, I completely agree with Denim. The idea that the Japanese versions of anything automatically pwn the American is archaic and stupid. It's been proven wrong more times than is countable and it needs to be done away with. The "man, there's never been a good American dub!" mentality needs to go out of style like break dancing

Taste aside, voice acting in general is usually done better in Japan as it is a big profession over there with many people having it as a lifetime carreer.

As for Xenosaga, it has very good voice acting in the English version, on par with MGS and such. Though I didn't like many of the voices for Episode 2, so I concidered playing the Japanese version only for Epi 2 and 3, if 3 didn't go back to some of the original voices.
Luckily that wasn't the case.

I just watched a set of video's that are spoilers. They where in Japanes and what confused me was the voice of captain mathews sounded like Might Gai from the naruto serise. I even listend to a resent Naruto fill with Gai in it and it's the same.

The Japanes Voice list said that the acter for Mathews was Zabuza from Naruto and that The voice of Ziggy is that of Gai.

I watched Mathews lips move and heard Gai's voice. I don't know what is going on but I think the Voice Actors got switched around. Some one tell me in not crazy and make some since of this madness.
