I've only watched a few episodes here and there, and while the series is a bit over-the-top and flashy, I'm starting to like it. If you like fighting animes with a twist, you might want to check it out. This time it's about AT's, which is basically inlines. But the characters can do some crazy things with them, and like with Pokemon or Yu-gi-oh, they're the big thing so everyone is using them and battling. Though it seems to be more than just fun and games. Gangs fighting each other, and other things.

I haven't watched enough to be an expert. In fact i'm pretty clueless about the main plot, so I'm going to DL the series from the beginning.

Oh and what's up with Akito? Is he really a girl or something like that? The way he acts and his voice actor makes me wonder.

I love all their moves that they used in battles and stuff, way cool IMO.
It's more or less like your normal plot of this group of people battling and practising trying to get to the top of the AT world. The OP and ED are really nice too. =D
and by the way, Akito is a guy! He's got such a cute personality too ^^ Agito is nice too, just a bit aggressive.LoL

Oh and for people that read the manga, most of them found the anime boring o.O. So I'll probably check out the manga after the anime series ended

I watched Air Gear, then fell behide and have not yet bother to catch up with the series, mainly because I read the manga and found it much better in regards to fan service, action and such. Also found the manga to have more suggestive scenes than the anime.

I don't mind the anime, but the action seem much slower than I would like. Not sure how to explain it, but watching them on AT's, I would expect them to much faster, animation stand point. The anime does not follow the manga, which I do not mind completely, but they skip an interesting part. Not sure about Onigiri, since I haven't watched the series in some time, but he was suppose to ride his AT with his head in the skate, which he does in the manga, but I don't believe he does that in the anime.

Also, I think they totally blew off Rika, Ikki's oldest sister, storyline, which was cool in the manga.

Basically, it seem like the goal of the anime is for Ikki to become the Sky King.

As for the story of Rika, they did mention it in the anime, but how much stuff that they might have dropped, that I'm not too sure, I gotta read the manga first =p

Yep, ATs are basically modified skates, with an engine inside to speed them up and stuffs

I fully caught up with Air Gear now. Probably wouldn't have been able to sit still at home and watch them all, so luckily I watched most of them with a friend at his place and then watched the rest at home myself.

Very good series. I like it more now after watching it all. The humor is just perfect and makes us laugh every time. Just my kind of humor, and Ikki and the others acting perverted and stupid is always funny to watch. =p

Latest episode (20) was pretty good. I guess Agito is a lot stronger than Udou Akira, since he could produce a Levithan kick almost as strong as Udou's fang attack, without the use of a Regalia.
Not sure who that disturbing nurse was, but I guess she is working for his brother.

Agito is my favorite character for now, but I get the feeling I won't see much of his dark side anymore.
I also like Spit Fire. He reminds me of Axel from KH 2.

He ended up breaking Sora's record though. But by the way the episode ended I get the feeling that this is the season final. Which is a shame because I really enjoyed watching this anime. And the fact that they haven't continued Tenjou Tenge might not be a good sign for the future of Air Gear, but I think Air Gear has become more popular.

Hm... I just finished watching the first few episodes, and I must say that I was quickly taken in by it. I like the concept of the Air Trecks, the Storm Riders, the teams, etc. I look forward to seeing the rest of the series, it's definitely one I'm keeping my eye on. The characters all seem interesting, and I'm curious to see how they'll interact as the story unravels. Thank you for introducing it to me.

I'm watching the first ep. right now, and I think it's already starting to grow on me XD I found the opening song to be rather catchy, or maybe that's just me...but yeah, it looks to be a potentially good series, from what I've seen so far.

I like the opening song too. It's called Chain, and there will be some nice variations of that song in the anime.

Yeah, I had a somewhat difficult time finding a good quality mp3 of it, but the band who does it is BACK-ON. Very catchy song.

It's a good OST, but sadly it's missing some of the great Chain variations that everyone loves from the anime. They will likely be on the second OST that'll come out in Feb.

Wow, I watched this Anime quite some months ago but when I got to episode 20-something I couldn't finish the series. The last episode I saw was when Ikki jumped the huge line of people. << Not really a spoiler so not hidden.

What the #### was that ending? <.< Please tell me they're gonna make some OVA's/special episodes or a second season to continue the series... A good anime ruined by a very bad ending. I meight ge the manga just for the sake of seeing what happens.

I thought it was a good way to end it. There aren't many good places to end it, but that was probably the best one. With that jump he proved himself as the Wind King (though the Wind Regalia is still missing.) and possible future Sky King as the leader of Genesis. The manga is still going so I guess there's a possibility there will be more anime episodes later, if the series was popular enough. If it's not then there might not be any more anime episodes. But I'm reading the manga right now and it's very good.

Oh yesh, the manga is very good. ^^ I finally got it (more like my boyfriend <3 got it for me) and I finished up to volume 15. I can't wait for the next volume. It think they are more or less moving in the main plot involving Sleeping Forest. The two Kings, what happened to Simca and Ikki's fight, Kazu's new technique and Spitfire's decision... ohh, I can't wait I can't wait!

Spitfire's really cool. I want to see him fight but I don't want it to be his final fight. >.< It has that kind of feeling...

Well the question is if he's going to hand him the Fire regalia or challenge him for them. But we haven't even seen him fight att all so far, so it would be good to see a battle with Spitfire.


Male: Ikki, easily. He's just too awesome. His Raijinken on Agito's brother, and his throat chop on Kazu after his first victory... do I need to say more? XD
I like Agito, Kazu and Sora as well though.

Female: Ringo chan. Although I started to hate her recently because of a certain thing she did. But she's still my favorite character in spite of the hate. XD

Yeah that, and another thing later. But I really disliked their attack on Simca. It was their mask freak who started killing Genesis members in the first place, and that attack on Simca was just cowardly.

There are a lot of things in the manga that were left out from the anime, so you might as well read it from the beginning. It's worth reading even if you've seen the anime, and vice versa.

But I don't think that's really why they were fighting. He seemed more like he didn't want to talk to her anymore, but then she challenged him. It's probably a combination of what happened to Simca and that he got an official challenge.

Yeah... he was really mad about what happened to Simca. He punched the Time dude so hard. Poor Simca, she is never able to move freely again right? I suppose that's why then... though I'm not sure he realize that Ringo has something to do with the incident.

Oh I think he would know since that Kanon guy spelled it out for him. When they were both talking to Ringo he said something like Simca was attacked by Sleeping Forrest, and Ringo is their leader. And that they are only fooling themselves by the way they are acting like friends when they are actually enemies, and they both know it.

Ahh... I almost forgot about that, lol. Yes yes, he would know then, wouldn't he? The badges are at stake for the battle, so I'm really curious how it'll end, since either side will have to disband and essentially ending their conflict. Unless... Ikki loses and he (and his pals) joins Genesis instead, since they technically had not merged yet?

Kanon is kinda cute too. XD The time dude is kinda bishie too, though he's a bit narcissistic at times and yup, HOMO! XD But gosh, he's one hell of a fighter.

I'm not really sure how it ends up myself since I read the raw, but things do get very interesting during the battle, I'll tell you that much. Ikki does something called Moon Struck Numberless Grappler later. I'm wondering if this might be Ikki's Infinite Atmosphere move. Anyway I'll find out later when the manga scanlations catches up, which should be pretty soon. Sleeping Forrest are pretty fast with their scanlations. =p

And I like Ion Clock. He's like my fourth favorite male character. =p He's pretty cool. He seems like the sempai character who makes everyone feel safe when he's around. He is as strong as a King according to Simca, but because he was on the same road as Spitfire and was in Behemoth who deliberately remained C class he didn't advance to become King of any road.

Wasn't it D class? D's battle condition is Cube, which they excelled at, that's why they kept deliberately loosing a fight after two consecutive wins? Akira's pretty cool too, before and after he became Behemoth's Akira, that is. The girl totally corrupted him. Rawr!

I think a number of the Kings agree that Ion Clock is at a King's level too. I think a number of people are. Akira and Agito are on par, and Benkei fought somewhat to a draw with a King too. She is one strong lady.

PS. What's the name of the King using electricity and got defeated so badly we got to see Tool Toul To at work? I can't pronounce his name in Chinese. >.<

I thought so. His hatred against them Storm Tribe or something seem so irrationally strong (more like completely freaking crazy) that there has to be a reason. Plus he trained Agito/Akito into a King. He must be pretty strong too.

the first time i watched air gear was at an anime screening in my local anime club and i instantly fell in love with it. so i went home and proceeded in getting all the episodes.

Finally, all 136 chapters. \o/
Here's what I thought.
I personallly wanted to see Ikki and Ringo start their rivalry. Arch rivals. I am really bored with Ringo playing both sides. And I think this is the best, cut off the bond with Ikki. Go back to your old self, Sleeping forest blablabla. And left Ikki with Migratory bird and that girl with hair-shaped-like-christmas-tree. =D

I just saw the first two episodes of the Air Gear anime yesterday, I'm not far enough to really place any judement on it, yet, but I thought I'd give my opinion of what I saw, anyway.

Frankly, I'm not impressed at all by the pacing or the animation quality at all, but maybe I'm just a little more biased towards the manga, so that's a bit unfair. Sorry.

One thing I totally don't understand at all is why Kaito and Agito showed up so freaking early. x.x I could've sworn that you didn't get to see them until a much later till around the battle between the battle between Agito and the bull guy (Forgot his name! XD), is that not in the anime at all?

Mmhm, right in the first episode during the meeting with the Stormriders. You see police drive up and Kaito and Agito in one of the vehicles. You don't see them for very long, but Kaito says something to Agito (addressing him as 'Akito') and Agito smiles.
