Two mystics from the past,
With choices between worlds.
Two warriors from the future,
With the guidance of time.
Two of incomplete souls,
Companions until the end.
Six shall walk the path,
And trace the way to light.
-- Reiane’s second Words on the Invasion of the Demon Kind
The Twilight Prophet has spoken, and the facts have been determined. The world of Luriean is in darkness, but hope can be seen. For twenty years they have waited, watched their homeland go to pieces, wrecked by the forces of the Demon Lord. Even the dragons and elves with lengthened time have learnt impatience. And now at last, the Words have come and Roles have been assigned.
The Twilight Prophet has spoken the Words of Hope, and six shall walk the path.
The night of the winter solstice, the wheel of fate began to move. The Roles from the past and future have crossed time and arrived. But the Demon Lord, who had learned of the Prophecy, had his magicians reach out and twisted the passage. The four had arrived, but they were scattered, for good or for bad.
By the Twilight Prophet’s advice, the two Roles of the present set off from the last human stronghold, Ti’Lethan, to search for their companions. Their journey will be perilous, for the Demon Lord will stop at nothing to stop the Prophecy from being fulfilled, so it was important that they have to find the Roles before the Demon Lord does.
Important People, Places and TermsTwilight Prophet – The most powerful prophet in the Tower of Seers is given the title of the Twilight Prophet, in honor of Twilight, the god that grants the visions for the future. His visions usually have to do with the more major events of the world, and even the rulers dare not take his Words lightly. The current Twilight Prophet is a fourteen years old human child named Reiane.
Demon Lord – The current king of the Underworld, Verkase the Demon Lord was a younger god of chaos. Out of lust for power, he stole the accidental weapon of Overworld, the Key of Paradise, and was banished by the elder gods into the Underworld. Shortly after his banishment, he overthrew the previous king and became its ruler. Not satisfied, he led his army of demons and launched a war against the people of Luriean fifty years ago. Rumors had it that he was looking for a way to reach the Overworld, and seek revenge on the gods.
The Words, the Roles and the Signs – ‘The Words’ is an alternate term to prophecies, and is often used when referencing the prophecies. The Roles are the key individuals in the prophecies, and depending on the nature of the Words, they can be anything from a sign of an event, or somebody involved in the event itself. Most major events have Roles, and there are many cases of minor events that do not. The Signs are indicators of time, location or something happening that meant that a prophecy is being fulfilled. The prophecies that are more specific usually have Signs, but there are prophecies without even one.
Ti’Lethan – The last human stronghold is a city built around and into Mount Lethan. Wars of the ancient past were the reasons why it was heavily fortified, and it houses the Tower of Sorcery. Because of the war, the city was facing the problem of over-population as many seek refuge in it, even though it was the next target of the Demon Lord’s conquest. The monarch of Ti’Lethan is Celurie Merieon, who also seats on the High Council of Sorcerers. He is in the middle of negotiating with the elves of El’Lerione Woods to allow humans to take refuge there.
Species of Luriean – It is a medieval setting, so there are humans, elves, dwarves and dragons. Hybrids are not uncommon too, though half-dragons are really rare. Phoenixes and unicorns exist, living deep in the mountains and forests respectively after the entire race of their half-blooded kin, the Phoenians and Unicians, became extinct a century ago. Dragons, phoenixes and unicorns are capable of taking a human form because of their immense magical power.
Half-dragons – Born between a human and a dragon in human form, or born by a half-dragon, they are sometimes called draconians. They are usually larger than the average human by a head, and their eyes are a vivid green and their hair that of the dragon they are related to. Their nails are hard as claws and capable of doing great damage. They are able to control fire, though they are better fighters than they are sorcerers.
(Except for the half-dragon warrior from the future, nobody is to have a half-dragon or a character with any sort of relations to one.)Phoenians – A hybrid species whose ancestor was born between a human and a phoenix in human form, which was why they have bird-like wings that allows them to hover in the air for short moments and fiery red hair and eyes. The majority of the species is males, and because of the phoenix blood in them, their ability to use magic is very strong, and as children, they are all capable of controlling fire.
(Except for the Phoenian mystic from the past, nobody is to have a Phoenian or a character with any sort of relations to one.)Unicians – A hybrid species where females are the majority. Their ancestor was born between a human and a unicorn in human form, and the child had a small white horn at the middle of their forehead, pure silver hair, and very fair skin. These traits were passed down onto her children, and all the later generations. Unicians take the surname of their mothers and possess a magical strength boosted by the unicorn blood in their veins.
(Except for the Unician mystic from the past, nobody is to have a Unician or a character with any sort of relations to one.)The Extinction – Phoenians and Unicians became extinct because the Demon Lord (still a younger god then) has an intense loathing of hybrids whose numbers were increasing. When he stole the Key of Paradise, he singled out the hybrids and directed a vicious blow towards them. There were not many Phoenians and Unicians to begin with and they were all killed. More than half of the half-dragons, a good portion of half-elves and half-dwarves died as well, causing quite an uproar.
Gods and goddesses – There is a whole pantheon of gods that Lurieans worshipped for different purposes and occasions. They are generally separated into two groups, the elder gods and the younger gods. The elder gods existed long before the creation of mankind and they reside in the Overworld where they oversee the younger gods and the happenings on Luriean. The Creation God who merged into the world itself is called Luriea, and she is no longer conscious.
Sorcerers and magicians – Although they are fundamentally the same, as practitioners of magic, sorcerers is a term used only for Luriean magic-users, while magician mainly refers to those of the Underworld and those who dabbles in the Dark Arts. Mages is a short-form of magicians, while wizards and spellcasters are pretty much a neutral term. To be referred to as a mage or magician is a grave insult to sorcerers.
The six RolesThe two mystics from the past are of the Phoenians and Unicians species, and they are each the most powerful sorcerers of their races, making them the right hand person of their rulers. They may or may not know about themselves being the Roles in a different timeline, as prophets were very rare then and the Tower of Seers was not yet established. They have met each other before.
One of the two warriors from the future is a human and the other is a half-dragon. They come from a time where steam technology and guns are being developed, and the human warrior is in fact an ace-shooter. The half-dragon is the last of his kind and a traditional warrior wielding a large broadsword. The human may not know of himself being a Role, but the half-dragon is aware of it. They have not met before.
The two of the present can be humans, elves, dwarves, half-elves or half-dwarves and may be warriors or magicians or neither. However, the both of them must have or lack a certain something, making them ‘incomplete souls’. It may or may not be something significant to the plot, and it is not necessary for them to realize that they are ‘incomplete souls’.
* Roleplayers who wish to take these characters, please let me know. I would prefer somebody with roleplaying experience, and I will be quite strict with the profiles. Newbies beware. How to PlayYou can choose to take a Role or somebody else, but no matter if your character is a Role or not, he or she can be equally important to the plot. But because of the difficulty of roleplaying the Roles, the application for them is naturally stricter. And yes,
approval is required for all profiles. I am thinking of taking limited number of profiles/roleplayers as well, but I will see how it goes.
The setting is medieval, so no such things as guns except for the one human warrior from the future. It is compulsory for him/her to have at least a gun and it must be the very ancient type of pistol. Normal D&D classes are applicable, and I leave shaping the world to you guys so get your creative juices going. Just note that Ti’Lethan is the only human stronghold, but does not mean that the cities and towns, especially of the other species, are all gone too.
Dragons, Phoenixes and Unicorns are out of bounds, and I will reject whatever profile shows up with one of them. The only Half-dragon, Phoenian and Unician I want to see are for the three specific Roles. And no gods or semi-gods. I am fine with demon and half-demon characters, but they must be on the antagonist side. I will ask when I want somebody special, but no exception otherwise.
One important note: this portion of the ‘history’ which is to be roleplayed out is not stated specifically in the historical books in the future where the human and half-dragon warriors came from. The gods have a hand in blurring the already vague and indecisive history from where the Roles entered the scene until the end of this particular event, for the sake of the two Roles. The future may change according to the result, but it is not a certainty. However, the history of whatever caused the extinction of the two hybrid races was not tampered with, so when interacting with the Roles of the past, please be careful as they do not know about it.

I'll be one of the two Imcomplete Souls.
Name (and pronunciation): Fernand ‘Animae’ Cavalcanti
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Eyes: Green
Hair: Brown
Race: Human
Class: Spellsword (a half swordsman, half spellcaster. Is good at both but cannot excel in the same fashion a devout swordsman or devout spellcaster would).
Spellswords are a tiny division of spell casters from Ti’Lethan dedicated to fighting the Demon Lord by employing a series of strange techniques that are often related to warrior meets sorcerer meets inquisitor. All Spellswords have tattooed on them, the Mark of the Spellsword, as well as a special cloak, but each Spellsword can recognise a fellow Spellsword simply by sight alone.
All Spellswords work alone and work in their own style, meaning that Spellswords gain a reputation for being quite different from one another, personality wise.
Distinguishable Marks: Tattoo of a green flame on one forearm and tattoo of a green sword on the other forearm. Mark of the Spellsword.
General Appearance: Fernand has messy brown hair that has grown slightly down his neck, but not to his shoulders. His fringe covers one eye sometimes. Fernand also often grows a light shallow beard, but it never becomes too heavy or thick before he shaves. Fernand is 6 foot tall.
Weapon of choice: A rapier or magic-created flame sword when fighting minions of the Demon Lord.
Clothing: Fernand dresses in uniform typical of a traveller that doesn’t distinguish him for either swordsman or spellcaster. He wears brown pants with three black leather bands that hang off each pant leg, as well as two belts which is the standard style for many travellers. He wears a white long sleave buttonshirt and a pitch-black cloak over the top of his clothes. The cloak is often carried by Spellswords and is sometimes called an ‘eye-deflecting cloak’, meaning that the cloak is enchanted so that you are less noticeable except by people looking for you specifically. A strange enchantment, and unable to match other items that allow total invisibility, but this cloak allows Fernand to disappear into crowds easily and avoid trouble most of the time. The cloak also shines in a multi-pattern platinum glow during a full moon.
Personality: Fernand is a bit of an eccentric, but is very good at deduction and lateral thinking, which helps him just as much as his talents. Fernand is easy to charm people, but always maintains a wall between himself and his friends when it comes to personal issues and burdens. He is outgoing, but to a fault.
Biography:
Fernand Cavalcanti was born into a village on the border of the ever-growing war between humanoid-kind and the Demon Lord. His childhood was extremely traumatic; at the age of 5 his father was lynched and killed by a crowd of village people after being accused (rightly) of being a minion for the Demon Lord. During the hanging of his father, he was first anointed with holy water, which caused him blinding and inescapable pain shortly before his death, as proof of his true allegiances. At the age of 10, his widow mother and he, along with the rest of the village people who had killed his father, were forced to move to Ti’Lethan as refugees when a battalion of the Demon Lord’s men pillaged the town, which now remains as a pile of old wood and house frames in Demon Lord controlled territory.
Fernand went to work to support his mother, Heloise, in Ti’Lethan who was already a professional tailor, as a member of an acting troupe at the age of 15, entertaining soldiers and commonfolk alike while his mother, him, and the other actors of the troupe lived in a set of apartments attached to the theatre. They became his second family. His stage name was ‘Animae’ and at the age of 17 a Spellsword member of the Tower of Seers found potential talent within Fernand during a show, and he was quickly sent away to a tiny abbey (the Abbey of Evey) to learn how to become another Spellsword. He accepted the chance to learn, and lived at the small abbey outside of Ti’Lethan until he was 20.
After completing both of his tests, of magic and of weapons, he received his two tattoos and cloak, and allowed to leave the abbey as a journeyman Spellsword. He hadn’t had any contact with his former actors or mother for 3 years, and upon returning he found the theatre burn down. A woman of his old troupe, Valentine, gave her the grave news, that Heloise and all the other actors had been killed in a fire, arson committed by a radical group that disagreed with the politics of the plays being put on. It has been two years since the fire.
In his grief and anger, Fernand relied heavily on emotional support from Valentine, who was only 19 and had joined the troupe as a 14 year old the same year as Fernand. Fernand fell in love with Valentine, but soon discovered she had become a prostitute in order to survive after the death of the troupe. The war had put tremendous economic strain on the city, and she was starving. Fernand, in his rage over his mother’s death, murdered Valentine’s master in cold blood and framed him as a minion of the Demon Lord (not that anyone would cry over the death of a pimp anyway).
Valentine returned Fernand’s feelings, and they consummated their love that night. But later, while attempting to flee the city together, one of the dead master’s creditors discovered the murder and went after the two immediately. The men he sent were those same radicals Valentine recognised as being responsible for the death of Heloise and in a fit of blind rage, Fernand slayed all of the men using both of his techniques of magic and swordsmanship. He then tracked down the leader who sent them, only to discover an awful truth.
While the man and his radicals had been aligned with the pimp, they weren’t the arsonists responsible for Heloise’s death. Valentine had manipulated Fernand’s emotions in order to get free from her life of degradation and prostitution. The fire was, in fact, an accident during rehearsals one day and Heloise died helping other actors put out the flames. Fernand, shaken and heartbroken, killed both the leader of the radicals, who attempted to avenge his own men, and stunned Valentine. Unable to bring himself to kill the only woman (besides his mother) that he had loved, Fernand used fire to permanently blind Valentine and burn her skin, so that no other man would love her again. The next day, he sent a letter of his exact deeds to the Abbey of Evey, and told them he would start on his mission to hunt down minions of the Demon Lord, and to not try and capture him for prosecution. By the time other Spellswords had arrived at the crime scene to find him, Fernand had already left the city in self-exile.
5 years later, Fernand remains in self imposed exile, and he’s not sure if Spellswords are still looking for him. As an Incomplete Soul (although not to his own knowledge that he is), Fernand has always been searching for a family to call his own now that he has none whatsoever.

Just a note regarding the future and possible changes to it. Let's say there's this state A timeline, which is the one the Roles from the future came from. Which means that for them, what is happening in the roleplay has already happened, but they do not have clear knowledge of it as the 'history' has been blurred. Only bits and pieces, and their knowledge of those bits and pieces is supposed to help.
However, if there is anything very humongous that happens which is different from that of the future of the state A timeline, like... let's say all humans were killed. That will mean that at the point of time, there will be a state B timeline taking over, and has a clean slate all the way from before the human Role from the future came into the present, or even before the prophecy was made. Whether it will proceed like state A timeline is anyone's guess.
So if the roleplay goes vaguely similar to the 'past' that the Roles of the future recognises, state A timeline remains, though there may be all sorts of changes all over the places that may have great effect in the future but not anything that will affect the very existence of the Roles from the future themselves.
The knowledge of the Roles of the future will stay intact and will not change according to the things that affect the future, because to them, the 'future' that they remembered are like the past that has happen, like if you read a book and remembered its content.
That's about the only thing I want to clarify. Regarding other things... as long as there's a logical reason for whatever the hell you want (like I told somebody, even an ever erupting volcano), I'll allow it. Even if you want to level a mountain with one spell, if you offset it with enough sacrifice (like maybe a thousand virgins

), I'll allow it.
Just don't godmod. That's all. ^^

Just out of curiosity Seluna, I had some questions about the human from the future. More specifically questions about the gun.
You said an ancient type pistol. Do you mean like an old flint-lock pistol (like a pirate pistol)? It might be a bit hard to be an "ace" with that weapon. Those types of weapons were rather inaccurate if memory serves.
The other question is one of ammo. True, the lead ball type of ammunition was easy to make (once again if my old guy memory is working, I believe Civil War soldiers were taught to make them). But, it still requires some talent, plus a source of lead. Not to mention where is the gunpowder coming from (not quite as easy to make)?
I'm just wondering if you had thought about the scarcity of ammo or were you planning on that being the human's handicap?
Not trying to be picky, just curious.

To be perfectly honest with you, Shadows, I have not thought of that at all. ^^;; I'm not sure if the pirate type pistol is the norm for the period during the rise of steam technology, or some more developed guns. I'm not the expert on guns, or weaponry of ancient times. ^^; But you know what, you get to choose any gun that can reasonably exist during that period. It may even be a prototype of some gun a little more advanced than should be, but with good reason, anything goes for me.
Whether the technological level of future should reflect the real history of ours accurately is entirely up to you, since it is a different world anyway. If you plan to have that handicap for the human Role from the future by giving him a pirate's pistol, that's your choice. In other words, entirely up to you. ^^
Just note that he's as good a shooter as he can be. Maybe that sort of pistol he uses has a miss rate of 50%, his is a 30% or something. *shrug* I don't know, up to you. ^^

Name: Emery Quinn
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Eyes: Dark blue, almost black
Hair: Black
Race: Human
Class: Priest
Distinguishable Marks: Deep scars circling both wrists
General Appearance: His jet black hair is waist-length, and braided loosely. Long tendrils of hair hang on either side of his peaceful face, and he has no bangs. His build is somewhat feminine, as he is small and slender. He is 5’3” tall, and is a little self conscious of his short stature, even if he only shows it by blushing when it’s commented upon. Emery’s eyes tilt very slightly at the edge, and are so dark blue, one can only tell at close range or in a certain light. He holds his arms close to the body, and his expression is very shy, but serene. His smile is small, and his laugh more like a giggle. (He is one of those people who holds his hand to his mouth when he laughs; he is very restrained.)
His movements are very fluid--most of the time, but he sometimes ruins his graceful image by tripping on the hem of his robes, though this only happens when he is rushing down stairs or running. Every movement is accompanied by a soft musical jangling (he has charms around his waist). His posture is very straight and his voice is soft. He has a hard time looking people in the eyes, and when people do it to him, he usually averts his gaze.
Weapon of choice: A small staff made of willow, painted white with silver adornments, and small bells attached to the end for warding off bad spirits.
Clothing: Long black priest robes, with many layers. The first layer is his simple white underclothes and robe, the second layer an indigo undercoat whose sleeves are just a tiny bit longer than the top robe, and the heavy black priest robes with long flowing sleeves at the top. The top robe has a high collar lined with white and tied tightly with white ties to keep it closed. Underneath the robes, his arms are covered to the elbow with white gloves that encircle the middle finger with a small silver cross. There is a tight black scarf around his waist, with a looser blue one hanging slightly off the hip. Underneath, are charms to ward off evil, encircling his waist as well.
On his feet, he wears his calf-high black boots, which are tied tightly over white stockings that run a little higher than the boots. His loose braid is tied by a long blue scarf that kind of flows with his hair, dangling a little farther down his back than his hair does. He wears a small bracelet made of wooden beads on his left wrist, a rosary twisted around the right, and his ears are each pierced with a silver cross each. He also wears a long black cloak slung over his shoulders casually for comfort, as he gets cold easily (and he likes to keep himself covered.)
Personality: He is naturally shy, but he does like to talk to people. He loves to lend an ear and listen to other’s problems, and he doesn’t hesitate to lend a helping hand. Though he is not exactly secretive, he hesitates to speak about certain subjects, but once you have his full trust; and he trusts rather easily, he may speak his inner mind. He doesn’t like to talk about his own problems, not because he doesn’t want a person to know, but rather, because he doesn’t want to burden anybody else with his own problems. He likes to solve problems, cook, and take care of the animals at his temple. He hates being alone, death, pain and sorrow. He seems endlessly cheerful, patient, and kind, but when he is alone, he stares into space and tries not to think about the world and all the trouble in it, and he hates to think of the past.
Also; he becomes embarrassed quite easily and has a tendency to blush a lot. Any attention called to himself, or vulgar talk is especially embarrassing to him.
Biography: Emery was born the third and last son of a noble family. He was always chasing his older brothers around, constantly trying to fit into their games, but they wanted nothing to do with him, especially since he was a full eight years younger than the second eldest. As they grew older, he followed them less and less, and when he reached his tenth birthday, his father told him he was to be sold to the church in Ti’Lethan, for they had no use of a third son, when the other two were already bickering over the precious few lands a noble in this awful day and age could get. Emery’s mother was sad to see him go, and she hugged and kissed him one last time before he left. He felt betrayed by his entire family, who he thought loved him, and he had thought his mother would fight harder to keep him.
On his way to the church, through a giant stretch of forest their carriage was attacked by thieves making their living the only way they knew how in this demonic land, and Emery and the other travelers in the carriage (two women and a baby) as well as the driver, were all bound and gagged while the thieves stole all they had. Many of the thieves took off once they had all the goods, however, three of them remained behind, and they had a crazy look to their eyes. After they raped and beat all but the baby, who they killed when he wouldn’t stop crying, they left them to die by way of demons or wild beasts. It was up to a ten-year-old Emery, who looked at the sobbing women and the dead baby who was clutched in his mother’s arms, who had to try and pick up the pieces. With no horses and no carriage, and miles away from either Ti’Lethan or their old hometown, the only option was to walk. It took a lot of talking, coaxing, and soothing for Emery to get them to walk, but he finally got the two women to walk with him on the path to Ti’Lethan, after burying the child and giving him a ritual prayer.
It seemed they had walked for years, when it was only two days, when they were spotted by a scout from Ti’Lethan. The man brought the broken bunch within the castle walls and they were finally clean, warm, and as safe as they’d ever be. Emery was given to the church, where he immediately felt the mixed emotions of guilt for not being the pure youth they had expected, but also a sense of coming home. He didn’t let the higher priests know what had happened to him or the women, and he began his priesthood from there. A few weeks later, he heard that his family’s hometown was destroyed by demons, and he gave a quick prayer for being delivered from that destruction, and for his family. He also later heard that one of the women killed herself, while the other got married to the guard who had saved them and they now had a son.
NOTES: Emery has some kind of lung infection or disease. I don’t know anything about diseases, so I didn’t know what to call it… I am kind of basing Emery off a recently departed pet, who died of lung infection, and whose personality was a lot like Emery’s. (His name was Rem, incidentally…)

YAY! *huggles Seluna*
AND you like pretty boys as well? You're right, we should get along famously!
I really haven't had the chance to play a really pretty boy for a long time now, just okay looking guys (guys who are good looking, but not extremely handsome or pretty) or butt ugly guys (A troll named Vince, a netherworld demon ugly as sin--pun intended) and I read the profile of Fernand's (the only one up at this point) and I was unsure of what kind of characters were needed. I have this habit; I read all bios before mine and try to figure out what sort of character is lacking, and then I create the character! (Everyone should adopt this philosophy!) but the problem is, the space is usually not calling for a pretty boy. Hence the troll, Vince. Roles usually call out to me, and I spend a lot of time on them. Even things I forget to put in the bio, or didn't have a place to put the information, I try to think of everything.
So this time, there was only one bio, so I had a wider range to choose from, and I figured not many people would want to be a priest, the healer of the group, it would be a good choice. Plus, once I gave it a long thought, I figured, hey! I can make him a pretty boy priest so he's off limits! MUWAHAHAHAHA!!
Not to say everyone's going to want him, that's presumptious. It was just a joke! ^^;; *dodges tomatoes*

Sel,
I'm toying with an idea for the gunman from the future. But the idea would depend on him have a FEW decent revolvers. From the research I did yesterday, there were revolvers around during the development of the steam engine, but they were not very good (nor were they cartridge based).
So since you said the technology could have advanced at a diffrent pace than our world, would it be possible for the gunman to have a "western type" revolver (we'll a few actually)?

Name: Syiana Rue Ishcyiel
Age: 92 in Unician years (which is 23 for a human)
Gender: Female
Eyes: A clear turquoise, which sometimes appear to be pure blue or green
Hair: Silver
Race: Unician
Class: High-Sorceress
Distinguishable Marks: The small white horn on the middle of her forehead, just below her hairline. A tiny diamond-shaped sapphire rests below it, hanging from a thin mithril chain that goes around her head. There is also a light blue tattoo of a lightning on the back of her left hand.
General Appearance: Her layered silver hair is of neck-length and curls inward gently, and her bangs of irregular length barely reached her eyes. Her cat-like eyes appears to be close most of the time, framed by pale eyelashes, and accentuates a sense of serenity on her delicate facial features. But when opened, they display a hawk-like sharpness. She is petite and very fair, though it is not uncommon among her species, but her physique is leaner and less impressive than her mates.
Weapon of choice: A five feet long simple mithril and silver staff with a diamond-shaped sapphire stuck at the top and a sharp pointed end. It is interesting to note that the staff is just a little shorter than her.
Clothing: She wears a mithril armour around her chest and hip, which is covered by a long flowing sky-blue silk robes that exposes her bare arms and a shoulder which is held together at her waist by a simple silver girdle (kind of like a toga). The silver embroidery of vines at the edge of the robes signifies her rank and position. An armlet of the same design rest on her upper left arm, and there is a similar ring circling her right hand’s middle finger. And she wears a pair of lace-up sandals made of leather and silk the same colour of her robes which runs up to her knees.
Personality: Most people who know her will say that she is usually a very cool-headed and dedicated person who will put everything into what she does. All that is the truth, but only people close enough knows about her inner passionate self, and has seen her losing her cool before over things or people she cares a lot about. She is willing to put others above herself, if she figures that it is worth it in the end.
Biography: If one wishes to talk about Syiana, the name Shizu Mia Ishyciel would inevitably appear first. Shizu was a distant cousin of the Unician Queen (who is more like the tribe leader), and the only Unician to sit in the newly created High Council of Sorcerers. Her grasp and study of a person’s innate magical ability was said to be legendary, and according to a dragon who sat on the twelve person council, a few precise tips from her could effectively save years of self-exploration. But Shizu was never satisfied, and studied extensively, even after she fell in love with a human craftsman with very little magical talent but a very magical smile. She eventually married him and they had a daughter. And that child, was Syiana.
Syiana’s birth was great news to the small Unician community of only hundreds, for it was terribly hard for a Unician to have children. But like all other Unician mothers, Shizu did not pamper and spoil Syiana, and in fact, she was a rather strict mother. Syiana grew up decently, and with her mother tutoring her in magic and her father teaching her all sort of other things, including craftwork and a good character. It was not hard to realise that Syiana inherited her mother’s talent and gift, and probably the blessings of the water god and thunder goddess that they worship as well.
Not soon after she became recognised as a grown-up (human equivalent of 18 years old) by the Unician culture, she was sent to run an errand to a nearby village and came upon a prowling mid-level demon by accident. After single-handedly injuring and chasing it off on her own, she returned back to the secluded Unician city that she lived in with more than a couple of fairly serious injuries and the loss of her thigh-length silver hair, and collapsed after informing her father. After sleeping for three full days, she woke up to have her mother tell her that the Council has decided to examine her if she was qualified to be a high sorcerer. She agreed, and with no surprise, she passed the test.
Years later, she was invited by the Queen to serve as her bodyguard and personal aide, and that was the position Syiana held until now. Interestingly, her mother had turned down the position years ago to pursue her magical studies, but Syiana knew that she would never be able to share her mother’s passion totally.

(OCC: Well Sel, here is my crack at the gunman from the future. Sorry if the profile is not what you had in mind or if it is not up to snuff. I can imagine the fun of playing this character will be in his time shock.)
Name: Samuel Trinmon
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Eyes: Sea green
Hair: Brown
Race: Human
Class: Gunsmith/Trick Shooter/Entertainer (these all are one role really, see bio)
Distinguishable Marks: The following words are tattooed across his shoulders, “The impossible just has not been done yet”
General Appearance: Samuel keeps his hair neatly trimmed short and is clean shaven at all times (he has fans to impress after all). He stand about 5’11” and is of average build, if not a little on the slim side. His arms are very toned, showing the years of speed training and practice Samuel has put into his trick shooting.
Weapon of choice: Three guns. Two, are double action six shooters with simple mahogany grips, one is trimmed with white, the other black.. Both weapons are ornately engraved and decorated. The last gun (a recent present from his parents) is a specially made single action three shooter. It fires a much heavier round with a lot more powder (in essence a magnum shot). Since the gun had to deal with increased barrel pressure it is constructed from a stronger and heavier metal. In order to make it light weight enough for their son to do his trick shots, the cylinder was made to only hold three shots to reduce the weight. This is a newly acquired weapon and Samuel is still trying to figure out how to work it into his act.
Clothing: Samuel has to distinctive sets of clothing, one for his show and one for everything else. During his shows Samuel wears a shirt that is basically split in half lengthwise, the right hand side being black and the left white. Two holsters hang at his hips, one black on the right hip and one white on his left hip. A bandana matching his shirt is worn on his forehead and is used as a blind fold during his act. Simple black pants round out the suit.
When not performing, Samuel wears the finest clothes his money can buy; Silk shirts, fine coats and the like.
Personality: Most see Samuel as arrogant and cocky, in truth he is. Samuel knows he is good and does not hesitate to show it especially when it will impress people. This does lead to him getting over his head sometimes and overestimating himself. Those that take the time to know him also realize he is extremely logical and that he is dedicated to his art. Samuel is jovial and enjoys having a good time with his friends.
Biography:
Samuel is the second son of Trisha and Amond Trimon, two of the foremost gunsmiths in the kingdom of Lethan. Samuel grew up in a world of firearms, so it was natural that he and his older brother, Trevor, would take an interest in the new age weapons. But while Trevor immersed himself in his parent’s world of science and invention, Samuel was busy playing with his family’s creations.
This was not to say Samuel did not study under his parents, far from the truth. Samuel learned all the lessons his brother did and just as well. Samuel himself is a novice gunsmith; able to assemble, clean, repair his weapons and create his own bullets. The child’s true obsession however, was the actual firing of guns. Spending endless hours practicing in a makeshift shooting range, Samuel managed to become a master of the weapons his family created.
As he grew older Samuel grew tired of simple shooting targets, it was too easy. He began setting up challenges for himself: seeing how fast he could draw the guns, shooting accurately with two guns, ricocheting shots, and even shooting while standing on his head! As he mastered each challenge, Samuel sought new and harder feats to occupy himself. Soon Samuel’s outlandish and sometimes dangerous feats began drawing small crowds to his firing range. Samuel found he liked the attention and applause of the crowd.
When Samuel was nineteen and fairly well known in the city his parents lived in, a traveling circus came to town. One of the acts was a man who shot plates thrown up into the air with perfect precision and accuracy. Unfortunately for the poor man, Samuel was in the audience. Samuel could not keep himself from heckling and poking fun at the man for being a hack.
After several minutes of the youth’s irritating taunting, the man challenged Samuel to come down and try the feat for himself. Samuel was all to happy to oblige. While he could have easily imitated the man’s trick, Samuel could not control himself. With a gasp from the audience, Samuel turned his back to the assistant and loudly asked that the first plate be thrown. As the plate sailed through the air, Samuel turned and shattered the plate a mere second before it hit the ground. The crowd cheered as Samuel destroyed plate after plate.
Frustrated, the man challenged Samuel to stunt after stunt and each time Samuel not only completed the stunt, but added his own challenge to it. After twenty minutes, the man walked off stage, leaving Samuel bowing to the crowd’s applause. As he left, Samuel was approached by the owner of the circus to fill the recently vacated position of trick shooter.
Originally against the idea, Samuel’s parents agreed to let him go after he pointed out that their sales would grow if there was a famous sharpshooter using only Trimon made guns. For over five years Samuel has been a traveling performing, spreading the name Trimon and making his family rather wealthy.

XD He's wonderful, and approved! *glomps Shadow* Topic is now moved to the main forum. XD
But the IC won't be posted up yet, I'm waiting for the last Role to be taken first. The registration won't be closed yet too.
Oh yeah... another thing I just realised. The people in present may know about the Roles from the past because they may have been mentioned in history books or something since either the Phoenian or mine is fairly well-known. However, the peculiar thing is, there won't be a complete lifestory for both of them, their 'story' effectively stops at the point they went to the present. But other things are not affected. Like if my character's mother did something very famous, the history books may mention them.

Well, at long last I have made my return to Dreamers. . . but only because Tim made me and exclusively for the RP Forum. I am not new at Roleplaying, in fact I am very experienced and run a website dedicated to it. But due to time contraints I do not want to play a Role, but a very simple human character built to support them.
Name: Senna “Saint Luck” Lafiel
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Eyes: Grey
Hair: Black
Race: Human
Class: Warrior
Distinguishable Marks: Cross along the back of her neck
General Appearance: Slim but rounded figure, shoulder-length black hair
Weapon of choice: Unarmed combat
Clothing: Tight grey leather outfit and lightweight boots, loose brown belt to carry medicinal herbs, food, etc. Usually wears a grey cloak over her outfit.
Personality: Quiet and calculating. Though she is a very skilled fighter, she is never one to rush into the fray. She avoids combat when she can, preferring the ways of words over violence.
Biography: When Senna was only nine winters old, her parents sold her into a life of slavery. Her master was part of the Demon Lord’s forces, and she and many other unwanted children were forced to create weapons for the army. A few weeks after her arrival at the camp, a fellow slave informed her that people were sold there in exchange for their parents’ protection; a protection which would not last long. Devastated and with a broken will, Senna worked for the camp for 6 years. Then, the camp was raided by a secret society known as the Saints. The Demon Lord’s soldiers did their best to kill every last one of the human slaves, but Senna found a place to hide. One of the Saints found her and brought her back to their underground hideout.
The leader of the Saints, Saint Glory, told Senna that she must now become a Saint, as she had come to their hideout. Desperate for a place in life, Senna accepted, and was given the name “Saint Luck”. From that day on, she dismissed her previous name, never wanting to hear it again. To show that she was a member of the saints, she was given a tatoo of a cross along the back of her neck. With time she learned that the Saints were dedicated to the researching of the Roles, the Signs, and the Words, and swore to protect the Roles on their journey, in silence. This meant not only finding them, but fighting Demons to protect them. Saint Luck became very adept in her studies, but was still very new at the idea of fighting Demons.
Eleven years of intensive training has helped her become a master of fighting. She is able to dodge projectile weapons – but only when she knows she is being fired at. (An attack from behind will hit her unless the shooter has poor aim.) She can take quite a beating before going down, but she rarely gets hit as she is very quick on her feet. Magic is her greatest weakness, and she cannot hold her own against a sorcerer/sorceress.

Welcome aboard, Fanelia. ^^ And yes, your character is approved.
Reminded by Fan's profile, I have something to say. This particular prophecy is officially known as the Words of Hope for this generation. Which makes the Roles are officially known as the Roles of Hope. ^^;; Such differentiation is necessary within the roleplay at times because there may be other prophecies being fulfilled at the same time. But normally, just refering to them as Roles is fine.
Fan, the Saints are dedicated to all prophecies or just this one? Does that mean they serve the Tower of Seers? Just curious. ^^;;

I hadn't thought about that. =P For the sake of them having a storyline, I'll go with all of them. I always imagined the group to be very old.
On a further note: Not all the Saints are human, and I don't mind if another RPer would like to be one. The name guideline is Saint [Attribute]. Like Saint Fury, Saint Wisdom, etc.
And I know I didn't elaborate much on the "personality" part of the bio, but this is because I never predetermine a character's personality. I get a general idea but the rest is developed from the story.
Expect me to post very slowly... the school year is just about to start for me so I'll be rather busy. But I will post as much as possible.

Yes, I'll say that the Saint idea is very nice. It surprised me a little because of an idea that Unholy Sasuke has, so watch for it.

Ooh, I like the Saint idea as well. Too bad I cannot join it... (I am an un-Role as well)
Anyway, I am unsure of how my character will become involved, and I was thinking over the religion. Is there anything I should know specifically about any religions in this world? (Or any ideas for any religions?) Would the religion also revolve around the Words, since the Twilight Propeht is somewhat like a religious figure? (agh, so many questions I know!)

We'll find ways to get him involved, won't we? ^^
There are a lot of gods, so it's something like what the ancient Greek people do, or like Taoism. There may be fanatics too, of course. And since there's a church thing, maybe there's a Christian god figure among the many gods or something? *shrug* I don't know, so just go crazy with whatever idea you have, I suppose.

Yes, the Twilight Prophet is something like a religious figure. The prophets (in real-life, mythology, whatever) usually are, anyway.

I am not a religious person, so I don't know much about any religions, except little things... I was thinking about his parents and why they would send him to a particular "church/temple/monastery whatever thing". It would probably be a god that his parents worshipped or likely his mother, after losing the argument about whether to send their youngest son away, at least had a choice in the place they sent their son.
Whatever the case, I don't believe the people of the church (or whatever it is

) were mean or abusive, and there are probably a few people there who look out for him as well( a friend or two). I was thinking of it as a place where people learned the art of healing and a handful of offensive light magic. (Like he knows healing spells and such and maybe one or two offensive light spells to defend himself with, if need be) The high priest would be one of the masters of the light element, but he wouldn't have the time to teach newbs, as he would be out in the front lines helping fight of the demon hordes. They also regularly pray to the god they worship, and pay him/her tributes (like goats or sheep, not virgins

)
As for the buildings, I see it being a large cathedral-like structure in the center, with a housing unit on one side, and the stables, barn, and gardens on the other side. In the back, there is a cemetary, like most church gorunds have. The people there grow their own food, and use some of the animals as food (though Emery himself is a vegetarian, having no stomach to eat the animals he tends). There would be a high gate around the place, like on those old time British manors. You know, the black wrought iron gates that look forbidding? I always think of churchs and religious buildings to be mysterious and a little scary, because I dunno, whenever I enter a church, it has this weirdly quiet presence about it, and that's what I want the place to convey, as well. (I'll get much more into the description in my posts, but I have a very detailed picture in my head)
As for the size--does it sound too big to be inside Ti'Lethan? I was thinking about what you said with the christian god figure... Do you mean like the god who is higher than the other gods, and who created the other gods, like a Zeus, kind of? If that is the case, then it would be okay for the building and his following to be huge, right? (If he was god of gods, I am sure he would be most popular)

I think I phrased it wrong. I meant that maybe the religious system of this particular god worshipped in the church is similar to that of Christianity. The Creation God, the God of Gods, is a female, and she's hibernating (sorta). ^^; I mentioned it, I think.
If it's healing and light elemental spells, maybe the god of life and god of light? There's like two general type of worship here, one for blessings with life, like harvest gods and the such. The other, is for magic. They can be mixed together or something though, since it is quite the pantheon. Like my char worships two gods mostly for magic, and will pray to the god of life for event of new birth and etc. ^^; I hope I'm not being confusing.

Just a note on the Saints.
At some point in the IC you could come across a Saint. However, if you affiliate with any religion that is not related to the Twilight Prophet, some of the more 'fanatical' Saints may shun (but not attack) you. These are usually the younger, more outgoing ones. The older and wiser Saints are ready to assist anyone who opposes the Demon Lord. Due to Saint Luck's background, she is a little wiser than her age group and open-minded.
Also, the Saints are not meant to reveal that they are a Saint, for they are a society kept in secret and must take an oath before earning their cross (membership).
Just a few notes in case you would like to integrate your character with this society, as though secret, they are still traveling around the world.

Seluna,
Well, if your character worships the god of life, can you tell me any details or fables about him/her? And what about the god (or goddess) of Light? Is there anything I should know, so I don't look ignorant? Also, do any of them have any names, or do I need to take the liberty?
Okay, is the religion associated with both gods/goddesses, or is it just Emery? (Do any religions focus on two beings? Maybe the two beings are related, or a couple?) But following the faith of two gods/goddesses is fine.
Fanelia,
Well, I would see you, right? (I mean, your character) But since it is a secret society, I don't know how Emery would ever qualify. What I had meant was, I really like the Saint idea, but since it seems to have a lot to do with learning killing techniques, and such, I am not sure he would WANT to. He only knows an offensive spell or two to keep himself from harm, and he wants to help against the demons, but he would have a hard time actually killing anyone. (If he does end up killing anyone, even a demon, he would be sick with himself) I saw him more as the guy with healing and support type abilities. No biggety-bam light spells for him. ^^; (Well, not that I know of)

If you really want to be a Saint, then you can be one focused on research and aiding other Saints in combat. Not all Saints fight, and not all research.
If you'd like to be one, you can be named Saint Empathy (just a suggestion that fits the theme of the names, if you find something better then go ahead). Your duties can be aiding the ill and injured, while studying. You can have your cathedral in the city, and be an informant that reports what is going on there, and any rumors you hear about the Roles. You'll be known by your Saint name to other Saints, and your character name to everyone else. I think it would work really well, and I'm happy someone has taken interest in the group. ^^
EDIT: Maybe you can meet Saint Luck and she recruits you. That sound good?

Name: Ingrad Silverfield
Nickname: Arc
Codename: White Avenger
Gender: Male
Age: 21
Eyes: Sapphire blue
Hair: His golden brown hair is slightly spiky up front, but neat along the back.
Race: Human
Class: Sentinel (Servitude devout to the Monarch’s call solely), Rank: Observer.
The Sentinels is created solely for the purpose of his Majesty, as his eyes and ears, his trust worthy servants. The organization, being a secret unit, has no official relation to the council or whatsoever, thus, very little authorization is titled to it as its duties are discreet unless stated otherwise. It has a secret base within the stronghold, able to accommodate 26 of its members. The rest of its members are scattered over the lands of Luriean, working undercover occupations from labor to political positions. There are four ranks in total other than the Commander’s rank. They are “Observer”, “Gauntlet”, “Aegis” and “Guardian”.
Undercover Class: Freelance Bounty Hunter
Distinguishable Marks: Ivory black sword crest on his forehead.
General Appearance: Ingrad measures to a height of 6 foot tall, matching his weight of 145pounds. He is clean-shaved, with a sharp roman nose and a small mouth. He is not too overly built in the sense of very bulgy muscles etc, irregardless; his body is fit and agile.
Clothing: Sleeveless white silky shirt with a high-collar, thin coating of mythril hidden in between the fabric, along with a pair of long, baggy black pants. A white belt is tied around him loosely, like the shirt, the simple designs on it are sewn in gold. He wears a pair of silver-white bracers and plate boots that have runes imbued over them in gold which aids him in his magic-casting. He also wears a dark olive cloak with tattered ends.
Personality: He’s pretty friendly to those around him, mess with him or his friends, he gets pretty agitated. His hold for liquor could pretty much be term “pathetic”, and his drunkenness normally make him tipsy, hence, may end up demonstrating first-class absurd stupidity. Incidentally, he has a “phobia” of snakes. This results in a hysterical behavior or an immediate “must eliminate snake” attitude. Curiously, he is quite uneasy around unfamiliar female faces (only pretty ones). To top the lot, he has a strong sense of justice and virtue, and will not neglect an innocent.
Weapons:
Wakizashi [Katana Short Sword] (kept behind his waist horizontally)
Enchantment<Ice>: Its frosty blade is meant to give its victim frostbites upon the injury to numb the nerves (delay the motions) or slow regeneration (typically like the werewolves).
Nodachi [Katana Long Sword] (sheath attached to the left side of his belt)
Enchantment<Wind>: Unlike the wakizashi, the nodachi’s main purpose is annihilating Ingrad’s foes, hence, the wind enchantment. The element allows his blade to feel relatively lighter while maintaining its sharpness which rivals with the rare material, orichalcum.
Mythril Whip (kept in a pouch tied at his right leg)
Biography:
His past is unknown to him, he was just told that he was found in his early teens at a critical condition by his Majesty. Ever since then, he was adopted and trained by Athos Silverfield, general of Ti’ Lethan, commander of the Sentinels, Celurie Merieon’s personal secret unit. Ingrad, being the only “son” of Athos, strived to work towards his father’s position. However, it was a matter of repaying a debt, rather than sheer filial piety. His query of a more detailed recollection of his past was promptly refused whenever he requested it, but he eventually submits to his foster father’s stubbornness.
Having a strong admiration towards the arts of swordplay, he dedicated himself and trained to be a devout swordsman ever since he started training (as perhaps indicated by the “birth mark” on his forehead). In terms of magical arts, he is a keen learner in the ways of destructive magic rather than the opposite. Hence, he only picked a few support spells, like levitation at his disposal, which is reliable enough to retrieve his arsenals. Only till recently, he entered the flanks of the Sentinels as an “Observer”. Despite his rank being the base in the pyramid, he’s the youngest entry in the history of the Sentinels. However, because of his direct relation to the commander, several members doubt his ability. Irregardless, his undercover occupation is a freelance bounty hunter where he earned a tiny reputation, earning him a nickname “Arc” due to his azure eyes and accomplished feats.
As an incomplete soul (without memories of his past), Ingrad is rather emphatic to the people of poverty, especially to orphans. When he heard news of Celurie attempting to negotiate with the elves of El’Lerione Woods to allow humans to take refuge there, he shoved aside his bounty duties and awaited orders at the Sentinel’s base with the hope to aid the monarch in making it happen.
(OOC: It’s irritating to think of a good character sheet x-x. Anyways, just a quick note, nobody knows who are the Sentinels except within the organization and the monarch and perhaps few of the council members themselves.)

Nope, I don't have any details or fable about either of them, except they are elder gods, not younger gods. You take the liberty to name and create them then, and if let the rest of us know. ^^

I don't know if there are any religions concentrated on two gods instead of one. Deities for Taoist worship, yes, but whole religion? I really don't know. Again, up to you. ^^ I'll most likely add detail to the goddess of thunder (younger god) and god of water (elder god) on the go, during the roleplay.
Okay, a note to all... I really want this to not only be 'Seluna's roleplay', so I did not flesh out the world and setting much apart from what I have already given. Like I said before, I'm likely to not have much answers to a lot of questions regarding gods, settings, country, land, rivers... etc.
So if you want to create something, go ahead, and if I need anything changed, I'll discuss about it after I see it. And if you ask me if you can let your character do this or do that, I'll throw a 'why not?' back at you most of the time. ^^ So yes, go ahead and give your imagination a wild ride. XD

Seluna,
Okay, then I will take liberties. I was just wondering if there was anything I should know before I did so. ^^ I will make the church a life god worshipper, but they sent Emery over to the the light god temple for a little extra training, the two are affiliated with one another. (I know some religions fight each other tooth and nail, but I'll just say these two are on friendly terms) I will post whatever religious ideas I come up with.

Name (and pronunciation): Nanaira (Nah-nai-rah) Ellnythos (El-nith-os)
Age: 21
Gender: female
Eyes: brown with hints of red
Hair: Brown
Race: (human, dwarf, half-elf, etc) : Elf (mixed blood, she had a human grandmother)
Class: (warrior, priest, or others): Warrior (mercenary)
Distinguishable Marks: Burn type scar over right brow, long straight scar on left jaw and nicks/scratches irregularly placed elsewhere on her face. The other scars are usually hidden under her clothing
General Appearance:
Nanaira looks like your typical elf with pointed ears and slender build. Her human grandmother adds a softer curve to her features. Her shoulders are broader than your standard female elf however they could not be considered big by human standards. She stands at 5'2" and has a lightly toned body. Her dark brown hair falls to mid waist and usually held back in a simple pony tail. The darkness of her hair and eyes contrasts with the fairness of her skin. She could have been considered pretty with her delicate and regular features if her facial scars did not mar her looks.
Weapon of choice: Bastard Sword, although she can use many types of weapons. Typically carries three daggers of varying sizes as well as the sword.
Clothing: She wears fairly generic mercenary type gear. Nanaira prefers leather gear to chain mail as it is typically cheaper, less noticeable and easier to travel in. Her typical outfit consists of close fitting leather pants, top and long boots. A dark cloak as frequently accompanies when the weather turns bad. She wears metal vambraces with the dark leather holding together the strips of metal. Her sword and a dagger is belted on her left hip. Another dagger is carried on her right hip. The final dagger is hidden inside a boot.
The description of her clothing is vague because it will change slightly from time to time. She changes as her clothing as it gets worn or damaged beyond repair.
Personality: Nanaira is a kind person, who is genuinely compassionate for others however this compassion can sometimes be overruled by logic. She is strong-willed although she doesn't mind following orders either. Sometimes she is viewed as a cold person because she doesn't always demonstrate her emotions in the typical way and frequently lacks the standard cultural reactions. While Nanaira isn't overly talkative, she isn't really quiet either. She does sometimes use actions where another person might use words. She is loyal to those she cares about and will do anything in her power to protect them.
Magic: As an Elf, Nanaira has some natural magic abilities. She can sense when magic is being used and the direction of the caster. She lacks the ability to cast magic herself although if she is pulled into the casting of spell, she amplifies the spell's power. If magic is cast through her, she will about double the power of the spell. So far only one other person that isn't a blood relation has been able to cast through her. Her ability to enhance magical strength is automatic, she unable to control it. She typically has no defense against magic spells if she doesn't dodge it, but works very well with magic users.
Biography: (minimum of two paragraphs, and please don't write too long
Nanaira was born in Te'Lethan, the daughter of a talented half-elf sorceress and a charming elven officer. The elven officer was a noble by the name of Kasreven Ellnythos, who was already married, a political arrangement. Nanaira and her younger sister bore the weight of an illegitimate existence. Her father was ruthlessly ambitious, a fact her mother realized too late. Her mother, Selna Trinase, took both her daughters and moved away from Te'Lethan to prevent their father from seizing the girls. Three years later, the town in which they were residing suffered a horrible plague that wiped out half the population. Both girls suffered through the disease but survived. Nanaira fully regained her strength, Jessamy, her sister, was forever weakened. Their mother, emotionally ailing at the time, did not make it. Their father, now a general serving El'Lerione, eventually had the girls picked up and returned to him.
Jessamy had natural magic abilities as would be expected from the child of two magically talented people. Nanaira was assessed to have some as her own but lacked the ability to utilize them. Despite being only a child of seven, her father started her on the path of a warrior with extensive practice in combat. At nine years old, Nanaira's magic abilities became apparent during the casting of a large spell by El'Lerione sorcerers. She unintentionally joined in with the casting of the spell and amplified the power of the casting. Her abilities now exposed, Kasreven put his daughter's ability to good use. Unable to fight off her father's magic, she was forced participate even if she disagreed with action. Nanaira became known as Kasreven's whetting stone or less insultingly as his sword. At 15, she was assigned as Captain to a special unit that dealt with the demon excursions. This promotion was happily received by Nanaira and angered her father. Nanaira, now out of her father's direct control, focused all her energy in serving her position. She picked the members of her unit herself, forming a very efficient group.
Five years later, her sister died from an illness complicated by her already weakened state. Nanaira, deeply grieving the loss, informed her unit, with whom she had bonded well with, that she would be taking her leave for some time to recover. Nanaira and her second-in-command left the El'Lerione woods. A year later, both are still together and working as mercenaries.
Umm, let me know what needs changing, more explaination, and such. Been kinda working on this whenever I had the chance, been rather tired when writing, sooo might be hard to read. Apologies. I would have liked to get this up sooner. I'll have to read all the other post later. XD

Hoodie,
I believe there are two roles left... the half-dragon character from the future, and the half-phoenix character from the past (Right, Seluna?) I think the dragon was powerful, and the half-phoenix was a good mage who knows Syiana)
I think I have the information right...

Thanks, Ember. ^^
The Phoenian Role is being reserved because somebody had sent me a profile, but I'm not sure if that's her final decision so I'm reserving it first in case of conflict. So the half-dragon is the only slot left. ^^ Once it's taken, I'll start writing the IC post.
Sydra, your character's approved. ^^ I like.

Oh if I could, may I play as the half-dragon and create a regular non-role character? I am getting really excited or something like that in creation of a character that would not be a warrior and then one that is something completely different.

Go right ahead, Cresi. ^^ I'll wait for your profile. Just remember that the half-dragon is the last of his kind, and he is more knowledgeable about the 'past' than the gunman. ^^

Anything else about the Half-dragon that I should know about when creating him? Such as if they have scales in some places, thier pupils being cat-like or something of that nature giving away their draconic nature besides their height and strength

Well, I wrote in my first post, but for convenience's sake, here goes:
Half-dragons – Born between a human and a dragon in human form, or born by a half-dragon, they are sometimes called draconians. They are usually larger than the average human by a head, and their eyes are a vivid green and their hair that of the dragon they are related to. Their nails are hard as claws and capable of doing great damage. They are able to control fire, though they are better fighters than they are sorcerers.

Sel,
You mentioned the half-dragon knows more about the past than the gunman. This brings up an interesting point. Are the gunman and half-dragon from the same time? If the half-dragon knows more about the past, I'd imagine there could be two reasons: the half-dragon is from a time closer to the events in the past (distant legends to the gunman) or they are from the same time but the half-dragon was more devoted to studying the past.
Just curious as to which it is (or a third option I did not think about).

Hmm... actually my thought was that they came from approximately the same time range, like maybe within a century, and the half-dragon was more devoted to studying the past. At least one of the 'guides' got to know more about the past, right? \
But if she wants to, the half-dragon can be from a time closer, just not too close that there maybe be a paradox of existence and cause a time warp or something. I'll say sometime 400 years after the events in the 'present' would be fine, since half-dragons have an average life-span of 400 years.
Unician and Phoenians has one of 240 years. Unicorns, Dragons and Phoenixes live for nearly a millenium, or even a few centuries longer than that. Sorry I forgot to add this.

Sel, a sudden burst of homework is keeping me busy along with Xenosaga 3. I won't be able to join after all.
A shame, too. This looked like fun. ^^;

Name (and pronunciation): Vildray
Age: 210
Gender: Male
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Blue
Race: Elf
Class: Bard
Distinguishable Marks: ?
General Appearance: An elf of a fair color, his long blue hair runs down his back. His eyes are narrow, but shows the most of his beauty, with lips that are slightly feminine. He wears a long blue cloak over his body, tied in the front by a silver chain, with small designs of white stars upon it. Underneath, he wears a light blue tunic, strapped at the waist by a silver belt, with boots that are shin length. On his head, he wears a blue robin hood like hat (exceptionally larger) with a feather that extends from the right of it. If he lowers his head only slightly, his eyes would be hidden. And he carries two instruments. One of them is his four foot long guitar. Being of an ancient time, it is relatively primal, but due to the technology and intelligence of his race, it can play as many chords as the modern guitar of our time, enhanced by the magic of its wielder. The guitar is white and lined with gold, with a feather of its own extending from the tail of it. He also has a silver blue flute which is strapped to the right of his waist.
These two instruments and his voice serve as his method of using many variety of magics, from attacking, to curing, to even enhancing one's attributes. He can match a sorcerer or mage with ease with his vareity of magic spells, but it takes considerable amount of playing for him to match their more powerful spells. In all, he can be called an all-around magic user. On the side, he did take some learning in using the short bow, but he's only an intermediate in this skill, due to his time dedication to the other areas of study. He carries one along with twelve arrows. However, these arrows are inscribed in some elven languange which activates when Vildray starts to hum or sing his poetry once the arrow is ready on the bow.
Weapon of choice: His guitar, flute, and his voice; has a shortbow and carries twelve arrows
Personality: Vildray is a very heavenly like elf, always walking from town to two and laying his musc to all those who wish to hear it. When one needs healing, he's just the man to do it. But when one tries to thank him, he is already off to his next destination. A simple wanderer is all he is, seeming to enjoy every second of his life.
Biography: Vildray came from the elven village of Manicosta, a place that was heavily music-based. Everyone in his village were a master in at least one particular musical instrument. However, an elf chooses which instrument he or she is going to be training with for the rest of their life by choosing it among a group of them. They were only to take one. During Vildray's test of fate however, he just picked up the flute and guitar, seeming to like both of them. The elders were against this but allowed the elf to take them both. Since then, Vildray has been separating his practice between both until one day he became a formidable musician in both guitar and flute. Thanks to an elf name Sharlian who acted as Vildray's singing instructor, the elf gained a high talent of vocal exertion, as well. And thus, using this in conjucntion with the magical training he took up many years after mastery, he linked them into his musical capaibilites, thus creating a very well-balanced bard.
After his learnings, Vildray was informed by the elders that he can exalt his level of mastery to the same as the legendary bard, Eli 'Vin Hil. The only thing he had to do was travel to the Forest of Harmony which lied on the other side of the land while playing his music along the way. When he reaches there, he will be visited by the spirit of the ancient bard and soon be tested for his musical talent, his virtue, and his overall performance. Finding this challenge more to his liking, he took up the task and has now set for the forest, playing his melodies as he goes.

Approved, Vex. ^^
I have a question to elf players though. What should be the average life-span of elves for this roleplay? I'm thinking of having them shorter than that of dragons, unicorns and phoenixes, but I'm not sure by how much.

Elves are regularly one thousand years, from what I know.

Yeah... but because I set it that the rarer species live at a thousand, I'm thinking of lowering that for the elves. Or just pushing all the average lifespans longer. Either way, we need to settle on it.

I think it'll be disrespectful to the elves if we lower their life span.

It's what makes them elves. In other stories, elves live for eternity.

Well if my memory serves, in D&D the average lifespan is a little over 500 years. (Dragons being MUCH older than elves).
So if you set dragons to live for about 1000, then I think 500 for elves is more than fair. (Besides, you get bored after the first 200, or so I hear :) )
