Ten people... awesome.

Adding a Poll.

Anyways, just wondering how you guy's want this tournament set out?

1-- Everyone battles everyone. Each person that has the lowest votes get's knocked out. (although I'll be looking into how many people get knocked out each round, for example... the first round, 2 people with the lowest votes are going to get knocked out. While the second round, only one person with the lowest votes get's knocked out)

2-- You pick who you want to challenge and the winners of those rounds face each other etc...

3-- Same as suggestion 1, but have a group split of 5 in each group.

4-- other?
Final Fantasist
I'm more into the second option, but with a slight difference, you decide who goes against who. I think that's the best one because there will be always poeple saying "I want to battle him", "No I want to abttle her", etc, etc.

Or you could ask someone that you trust (xD) that's outside the tournament and tell her/him to pick the ones the pars that are going to battle each other.

So option 4, with the same idea as 2 but who battles who is pre-determined by someone not entering the tounament. (I don0t know if yo are participating though, if you aren't then just do it yourself xD)
Metonymy
I kinda agree with FF. I like 1 vs 1 battles, and having them predetermined (even randomly) works better, imo. So I agree with Fanta.
The Keeper
I like the everyone against everyone elimination idea myself, so the first one gets my vote
Bloo
hands down for everyone vs everyone~

Bloo...
Eidolon
I like option 3. That 'Split into 2 Groups' idea sounds interesting and challenging. Though, I dont really care what we end up choosing.
Btw, just a bit curious Natsuki, did you ever come to a decision on whether we're going to have this themed or not?

That will come along in time xD. I'm hoping to follow that idea that (I think it was x.x) Fantas mentioned, there will no specific theme, but there will be limitations so people will have torestrict themselves from doing the same things, it helps them try new things out? xD

The reason why this is taking awhile to set up too, is because I'm making sure most of the participates are happy with the settings since I know those kind of things put people off in taking part.

After I get enough votes/replies to this topic everything should be set out by then and I'll be able to make the official topic in starting the tournament.
Final Fantasist
I don't really know why you guys want to get everyone to battle each other. This is a "tournament".

So what you guys are saying is that we put all in one topic, let the peple vote and the tournament ends. Happy? I don't think so.

I think that when Winnie thought about this idea she wanted it to last for awhile to give activity to this board. If we just put everything in a single topic, 10 sets for example, it will be very hard for the ones voting, and it would make the tournament just an ordinary SOTW, which died in a few weeks btw.

So yeah, I don't want a SOTW, I want a Tournament. Of course, this is my opinion, everyone has they're own. ^^
The Keeper
no, it's going to be an elimination. So each phase of the tournament will have everyone submit, and whoever gets the less votes will be knocked out, then the 2nd phase comments, and the process is repeated.
~>uenki<~
Hmmm I prefer the one-on-one battle, it makes it easier for people to vote for..
Everyone against everyone would end up like SOTW.
What I'm not sure about is the splitting into 2 groups. Do you mean that 5 people in a group to make a piece together or something? o.O
It seems really hard in that way cause I don't think it's easy to have all 5 to get together to discuss about the piece. =/

So yep, one-on-one predetermined battles for me ^o^b
The Keeper
I think the team thing would go like, you have inner battles within the teams, then the winner of the battles would go against the winner of the other team, but there would be no battling between the teams until then... thats what I got from the team thing lol...
Final Fantasist
Well, keeper, it's not phases, all against all will result in 10 people submiting entries and the winner wins the tournament as ueni and I said, if we wanted something like that, we could have sticked with the SOTW's where 10+members participated in.

As to the two groups, it's the same thing has the all agaisnt all, but in this case, people that are in group 1 will battlke everyone in group 1, and the sae for 2. For e.g. me, keeper and uenki are in group 1. Vins, Bloo and Winnie are in group 2. The winner from group 1 will fight the winnr of group 2, ater the participants had battled it out in their own group.

Sorry if it's too confusing ^^'

hm... well I can roll with that idea then, but I already voted for a free for all lol.
Gemini_Bloodian
I guess I'll conform with FF: 1v1, predetermined "battles." Simple, original, and requires the least amount of work.

No, I didn't mean that.

That's exactly what I ment, probably my bad explaination in my post. ^^;

Example to suggestion 1--

As for Uenki's question...
It would be like suggestion 1, but having the groupe split into two.

Example to suggestion 3--

Final Fantasist
Hmm, so that's it...

I'm still inclined to the 1 vs 1 though ^^

I prefer

whatever option winnie is illustrating in her little pictures.

Too lazy to read everything.

Natsuki
Okay, I need around one or two more votes on this since I really want to go ahead and finish up writing out how things are going to go in the guidelines.

There's also a chance I might be gone for awhile, so if we get things started I can easily just hand it over to another mod to take care of instead handing it over to them half way through planning it. =/

Who exactly are you waiting for? Just about everyone has voted already.
Natsuki
Was waiting for someone to break the tie between the 2 options. But whatever, I guess...
I'm going to go with the 1v1 since it seems that's what you guy's prefer.
